Really beautiful hotel right across the road from the beach. Lots of eating places and shops all around. The hotel was spotless and air conditioning was great in the room. Breakfast was lovely. When we arrived we were met by a lovely friendly receptionist called Inma. She made us feel so welcome and explained everything to us that we needed to know. Each time we met her she greeted us with a big smile and had time for a wee chat to see how we were. Definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Parking in the area is difficult, especially during the day. During the day, you likely will need to go to the paid parking garage. This is right behind the hotel.
The area is busy and congested but the hotel is very well maintained, quiet and clean!

My husband and I decided to book the last couple of days of our trip to southern Spain at hotel Tarik to be close to the airport. We were looking for a stress free, relaxing experience and they delivered!!! The room was huge and clean, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating(especially at the front desk), and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The main square is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel but the beach is about a 30 second walk so it felt like a fair trade off. We were traveling with our 9 month old and the staff really made us feel welcome and taken care of. We had a great stay!

Fabulous hotel now with fridge in room no tea making but took my own kettle. Huge shower, hotel is spotless nice pool and plenty sunbeds with rooftop sunbathing area. Staff are nice and breakfast was good. Opposite the beach and nice seating areas

The option to borrow towels for the beach is very good (useful service). Views of the swimming pool from the breakfast seating area are good, I expect there were good views of the sea on the other side as well.

We were very happy with every aspect of Tarik, especially being across the street from the beach and Chiringuitos. The staff were always cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning.

The breakfast buffet was very good.

We had a chance to talk with a staff member who said that the owner treats the staff with kindness and respect and, as a result, staff feel a bond with the hotel. That showed in the attention to detail and the warm and friendly treatment of guests.

The Tarik is a short walk to Torremolinos Centro where we could catch the local train (Cercanias) to places like Málaga and the airport. By taxi it’s only 6km (10 min) from the airport.

There’s a Mercadona supermarket behind the Tarik and lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

We have been visiting this area of Spain for many years and have chosen the Tarik for our last few stays. The rooms have recently been renovated which has made a lovely hotel even better and added a modern touch. There isn’t a rush for beds around the pool like at other hotels and it is very relaxed. The hotel also offers a changing room for guests with later flights. We will definitely return in the future.

The best smaller hotel in Torremolinos. Perfect!

A third visit here for me and it just keeps getting better. I can see some refurbishment work has been done and I had a newly refurbished room which was absolutely beautiful and now includes a mini fridge which is very handy to have. The room smelt new and after the maids had done their daily cleans the room was left pristine and smelt clean. Also a new shower which was great. The pool area was my favourite part. Plenty of sun loungers and never too busy and set in very lush grounds. Pool temperature absolutely perfect giving the time of year. Very decent breakfast on offer too. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Honestly there was not a single fault for me at this hotel. Opposite the beach too and lots of bars/restaurants/shops/supermarket all very nearby. I’d be proud to work for this hotel. I’d be proud to work at this hotel.

Hotel Tarik comes with a great history and beautiful property, centrally located right on the beach of Torremolinos. The hotel staff was very friendly to us, spoke English, and had a great breakfast. We stayed in a 3-bed room and was very comfortable. Note that there is no microwave/fridge/coffee maker. The air conditioner did also not work/had a burning odor. We changed rooms and had the same issue. Luckily opening the window with the ocean breeze felt good.

Excellent hotel! Loved that it was right across the street from the beach. Very clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was one of the best, they have everything you could possibly want.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station and shopping center. From the train station, it is about a 20 minute ride to Málaga central.
Highly recommend!

I was pretty disappointed with this hotel. My room was dark and, for lack of a better word, dingy. The floor was dirty and the bed small and uncomfortable. There were only two outlets in the room, one by the door and the other in the bathroom, which while only a little inconvenient was nonetheless annoying. Based on my room (and maybe others are better), I would say this is more accurately a 2-star hotel. I would not stay again.

Very pleasant and the reception and bar staff are excellent. Only issue was we were allocated to room 323, which was very nice but we became aware in the evening/night of the hum of the hotel's air conditioning plant - not the noise from the room A/C and this made it very unpleasant and difficult to sleep. The helpful reception staff changed us to a better room next morning, however I had specifically asked for a quiet room.

Great seven days, weather just right and position of hotel perfect for leisurely strolls towards Benalmadena .Bus stop right across the street for L2 bus, which for only 1.30 Euro takes you to the centre of Torremolinos (top of St Miguel street, very handy for those not so able to climb steps)
Hotel Tarik an excellent 3 star low rise hotel, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, very comfortable beds and adequate (not a vast selection) breakfast facilities. Well maintained pool area with thatch shade parasols, an all round easily recommended resort.

Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel but despite a few gripes we would return, firstly the beginning of the holiday was spoiled by inconsiderate neighbours (no fault of hotel though) scraping chairs & shouting banging doors etc in the early hours (maybe had early flight?) Because it was about 3-4 in morning but at time was very annoying. (We were on ground floor & so had people above & either side who were very loud & banging doors etc.
Also the air conditioning was only on for our last night (7days) I will admit it was cold when we arrived (first 2days) but as the week went on it got hotter I spoke to the receptionist on the 5th-night & she said the manager makes the decision whether they have heating or air con on I also spoke to the receptionist on the 6th-night & got similar answer (we both struggled to get to sleep because of heat) thankfully on our last night when we had to be up earlier than normal to get our flight home the air con was on so we got a comfortable nights sleep.

We only had a 1 night stay. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also big, but noticed just a bottle of soap, probably a multi-purpose for bath, shampoo & hand use. There are many restaurants & amenities nearby too.

Does what it says on the tin

Let's get the main message first. Hotel Tarik is a decent hotel. In a good location, right on the beach front. Its got a lovely pool, a quiet pool area, good bar, nice restaurant and lovely, friendly staff. What's not to like? I didn't pay for a 5-star hotel and didn't expect one and hence had a lovely stay. There were things that could be improved - we had a very dark room in the inside corner of the hotel (room 221, if you want to avoid), which had a tiny balcony. No worries for us, as we were non-smokers, but if you are, you may want more balcony room. It was a basic room and I wouldn't have wanted to spend more than a weekend in it (due to lack of enough natural light), but it was for a weekend and more than did the job. The restaurant attached is very classy and discount there helped too! We found the bar staff friendly and the drinks priced fine. The only 2 (minor) negatives: The breakfast scrum! - entirely caused by a poor decision to install 2 automatic coffee machines which did every type you can imagine. And take a looong time. Hence queues every morning. What to do? Get your hot food first, but it goes cold while you queue with lots of others? Plus anything with milk in tasted sweet - so it wasn't real milk. Why not just use a filter and jugs?? Go out for breakfast coffee! Also, the perennial problem of hotel safes. Why charge? It makes me mad. Its the hotel's problem if it can't guarantee security - why make me pay for the solution? Would I stay again? Definitely

Hotel staff very friendly except for the young fellow (don't know his name) working during the day he was a bit abrupt and not as helpful as the rest of the staff. We had a room with a sea view which was great.The breakfast was substantial and there was a good variety of food. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day . We stayed for seven nights last week Sunday to Sunday we were woken by cleaning staff knocking on our door twice, both times before 9.30 even though breakfast was served until 10.30. Would have liked a small fridge in room for water.

Great location for the beach and nice pool/sunbed area. Our room on the first floor with access to the pool was ok. The bedding was old fashioned (covers that never get washed) and beds were a bit hard. Could have been a bit cleaner also. Staff were friendly. Service in the restaurant was also even for Spain.

This is the second time I have stayed here this year, this last time was actually only 3 days on a work trip. The staff are always helpful, polite and will do everything they can to help. I have booked to go back in September for 2 weeks as I was so impressed the first time, it was my first time in torremelinos earlier this year and I must say I was pleasantly surprised not at all what I expected, as in NOT full of rowdy english bars and burger and chips. So I would Definatley recommend both the resort and this hotel. I stayed in a perfect room with a fantastic sea view in April and have booked exactly the same for September. If you are looking for 5 star luxury then this is not the hotel for you but if you are looking for a friendly, clean, well run hotel with excellent staff and service then this is definitely worth a try, not to mention it's location, probably not even 20 paces away from the beach, absolutely perfect!!!

Had a short break, didn't really spend much time at the hotel, room was ok, a few ants on the bathroom floor. Maid came first day, second day when she came about 9.45, we asked her to come back in 5 mins. When we got back to our room later that day she hadn't been back which was abit annoying as we wanted clean towels. Other than that location was great, lovely reception, bar and restaurant area. Pool was nice. Would definitely return

Hotel is in a great spot opposite the beach. Triple room was a good size and on the ground floor. Beds are comfortable. Bedrooms also have air conditioning. Bathroom modern and good size. The breakfast has a great variety and is topped up constantly. Garden area, pool, lounge, reception, restaurant and bar all nicely designed and decorated and very clean. Staff are friendly. Free wifi in the lounge, there are also 2 computers for use for an hourly minimal cost.
I would recommend this hotel to people who may be elderly or not great on their feet as the reception opens straight onto the promenade with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by. There is also a bus stop very close.

Lovely small hotel right on seafront. Pleasant staff, clean comfortable rooms. We were at the back of the hotel looking on to a residential area, but we could see the sea by leaning out over the balcony. Small pool area with some sun beds. We went on half board basis. The food in this hotel could do with some improvement. Selection was quite limited. The hot food was not kept hot enough; lukewarm meats and veg were very unappetizing. If the choice is limited, then the quality should at least be good. A few small changes should improve the dining experience! This hotel has a lot going for it - great location, small and well run, right on the beach, near enough to busy areas if you want that.

Booked Tarik on strength of ratings on here and other websites and in most respsects, it was a good choice. Literally ten yards from the beach which is kept swept and clean; room 312 which was ours had two large windows, one overlooking the garden and swimming pool and the other a perfect view of the beach. Pool well looked after and gardens pleasant. Staff not over effusive and friendly but didn't bother me particularly, it was near the end of the season and I daresay they had had enough by now. Rooms kept clean, towels changed everything fine. BUT and this is a big but - the food is dire. Breakfast not too bad, you cannot really go wrong with croissants, eggs, bacon etc though the coffee tasted like dishwater but the evening meal. What can I say? Most of the time it was uneatable. It is a buffet and we used to stir the food to see if we could identify it - one night I actually tried something as I was not sure if it was fish or chicken and even after eating it could not identify it! Soggy chips, stew which was mainly bone with meat clinging onto it (reckon it was dead bull after the matador had finished with it), chicken thighs - all thigh and no chicken. I could go on and on but won't. thank goodness for the salad bar though by the end of my stay I had had enough lettuce and tomatoes to last me a lifetime. This needs to be sorted as it lets the hotel down. Other than that we had a great week and I cannot fault the Tarik on anything else.

Lovely Family Hotel

We decided to take a break as my wife and I were going through a stressful time. It is not the way we would normally travel and due to this we went for a cheaper hotel than usual to reduce the risk of disappointment on arrival.
What we found on arrival was the complete opposite the Hotel Tarik is run by very pleasant Spanish staff who all speak a moderate amount of most languages. The beauty of the Hotel Tarik is that it has retained its Spanish character whilst encompassing the needs of modern tourists. The modern facilities such as; wifi is limited in area to the lobby; there is a TV in the room but there are a limited amount of channels available, this said you're supposed to be on holiday so this helps with switching off.
When you do switch off from the modern elements of life you will find the beach is literally ten steps from the lobby, there is a lovely walk into the town. In the local villages there are also a number of excellent attractions such as Gibraltar (approx. 1hr by car) and in the next town there is Selwo Marina (Sea World), Sea Life Centre, Boat Tours, Bull Fights, Lipizzaner Stallions and Flamenco Dancing.
If there was any downside to the holiday it was the fact that the parking attendants can't bend their neck's as we put the PandD ticket in the side window and got a ticket when we asked we were told that we had to display the ticket in the windscreen not the side window.
Lovely holiday though and if we went back we would go to the Tarik

very pleasant place to stay

very nice hotel. frinedly staff. well worth for the price. plenty fresh delicious breakfast and serious dinners. nice garden with pool. wifi. good location next to the beach, shops and supermarkets cash machine very close. i preferred to go to the nearby bars because better to chill out, bar in the hotel quiet. train station 10 minutes walk through shopping streets. airport 20 mins by train. train every 30 mins. will go back defenetly.

Das Zimmer war super, die Menschen dort unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück klasse und die Bar gut ausgestattet. Die Cocktails waren super lecker und in der Happy Hour auch nicht zu teuer. In der Umgebung gibt es auch viele schöne Restaurants und Cafés.

Frühstück war sehr gut. Selbst 10 Minuten vor Ende Frühstückszeit wurden nochmal Speisen nachgelegt. Auch gab es Sekt.
Direkt am Strand, man muss nur über die Strasse. Trotzdem ruhig.
Alles sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.
Tolles kleines, ruhiges Hotel, ich würde hier jederzeit wieder buchen. Erholung pur.

Et koselig Hotel ved stranden

Tarik hotel var et hyggelig bekjentskap for oss. Frokosttiden var delt inn i 2 puljer, vi kunne velge 7-9 eller 9-11. gode frokoster og gode middager hadde de også på dette hotellet. De lånte ut håndduker . Vi betalte 10 Euro som vi fikk igjen ved avreise. De kunne byttes inn hver dag. Koselig og hyggelig betjening. Her kommer vi igjen ved annen ferie

Ein Kleinod inmitten vieler Bettenburgen, ruhig und trotzdem mitten im Geschehen.
Wir hatten Zimmer 114, es war sauber, hatt einen grossen Schrank, Fernseher mit ARD, 3-SAT, ZDF-INFO und ARTE, einen Minikühlschrank und SAFE.
Blick ging zum Pool.
Frühstück etwas eintönig bei Obst und Wurst.
