Great, clean hotel, fantastic and friendly staf

Room was very basic but was on my own so was good enough. Was clean and the Aircon worked.

Staff were very friendly, especially the cleaners who always had a smile on their faces. Sometimes they could have done with an extra person serving drinks as bar always had a queue.

Food was good and had plenty of options each day. Couldn't fault anything.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and we had another lovely short break. We had a pool facing room which was lovely. The resturant food was excellent, plenty of choice and The La Gioconda resturant was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We frequently used the cafeteria La Griego. All the staff are friendly and make you very welcome. We like the location of the hotel as it is a nice walk to the shops and beach. We will definately return. T

The hotel was ok and staff were friendly and helpful but mealtimes were very busy. Very little room to walk between tables and it was so busy the staff couldnt clear tables quick enough to seat the waiting people as hard as they tried. After placing coffees on a table i went to get breakfast, when i returned someone had taken my chair. It got chaotic on times with people pushing into queues to get food . Same thing happens in bar there is not enough tables and chairs for people to watch shows and that resulted in grumpy pushy people trying to force chairs in front us blocking us in i found this too stressful and i got up and left and did not go in there again during our stay. There can be a long wait for the lift as alot of people need to get to and from higher floors to restaurant etc.

lovely clean room on 1st floor overlooking the restaurant outdoor area and pool.friendly helpful staff. Could do with more lifts. We left at 9.45am and it was impossible to get in the lift to take our luggage downstairs. Fortunately we only had to go down 2 floors. Food is good with a variety but lacks vegetables. Noisy seating areas. Could do with a quiet room for people to relax in.

Value for money, room was fine although plumbing in bathroom not 100%,shower could do with updating. Service in coffee shop slow as ,only one on bar ,but all staff very pleasant and very hard working. Hotel in good position if you want to be in town centre.

The Hotel is in a great location, close to the town and the beach, there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by.

We stayed all inclusive and enjoyed the food, plenty of variety each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (The doughnuts at breakfast were amazing - why not, I say, I am on holiday) Food was always hot and replenished frequently.

The staff are so friendly, especially Daniel, the Maitre d. He remembered us each morning, not sure if we are particularly memorable or our room number was (1007) or maybe he has a good memory, perhaps a combination. Either way, he was a delight to see each morning.

The only downside to the Hotel was that the pool area is not really big enough for the size of the hotel and our room and some communal areas was a little dated and could use some tlc. That said the coffee/bar and Pepe's bar are modern in their appearance.

Overall we had a good 7 night stay and would definitely stay here again should we return to Torremolinos.

Location: -
The property is in a good location and within walking distance for Torremolinos town centre.

Hotel Room: -
The room we stayed in had a limited view of the Beach in the distance and other apartments close by. It was very basic and needed painting and decorating to freshen it up. The room was dusty on the wooden furniture when we arrived and I cleaned off what I could using disinfectant wipes, and it was not done again by the cleaning staff for the whole 2 weeks that we stayed there. The bed sheets were not changed for the time we stayed there, and the hand wash gel ran out after the 2nd day of our stay and was not replaced at all. We had to go out and buy more from a local shop. The toilet roll was not replaced often enough and we had to ask for more from the cleaner. Our room was not vacuumed or mopped out and it seemed that the only daily service we got was a change of towels and that was it.

Bar Service:
At busy times, the main bar service for drinks was inadequate and only manned by one person for most of the time. This person served really slow and sometimes would be engaged chatting and joking with customers, rather than serving the drinks to try to get the queue down.

Food: -
The food for Breakfast, Lunch and Evening became monotonous for the 2 weeks we were there and was of very average quality. It was always warm and should be a lot better for a 4* hotel

Conclusion: -
This hotel is ok for a couple of nights stay, but I would not stay here again.

3rd time staying at the property as we love the location etc… Sandos have taken over this year and we felt the food choice wasn’t the best. Desserts bit bland in Main restaurant but amazing in their BBQ restaurant. New mattresses were very comfortable and rooftop terrace was amazing with refillable soft drinks & beer for AI guests over 18yrs. Great coffee bar.
On arrival we had few issues with room that were quickly rectified by the helpful young long dark haired girl when we checked in. We had asked for high floor ✔️ and sunny balcony ✖️ they gave us the only room in hotel (1824) with no sun at all as squashed in corner of building therefore we couldn’t sit on balcony as freezing with wind/shade.
The lady manager at reception with the white shirt is rude and could maybe improve her customer service skills. Ruben a waiter in restaurant is very lazy just wants to float about chatting to others whilst all other waiters are busy clearing up etc…

Fantastic Hotel, Friendly and Comfortable

From the moment we checked in we were looked after well and had the best 5 days. Carl and his team do a wonderful job, most staff having worked there for over 20 years which shows how well they are looked after. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool area had plenty of sunbeds. Food was typical buffet style and we always found something we liked. We were on all inclusive which included all food and local drink, so you can imagine we are home trying to shift the extra pounds we put on. No towels provided for the pool so bring your own for sunbathing. We only left the hotel once to go down the near by streets to do some shopping. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Ckeckin was quick and smooth, when we arrived in our room it was simple but clean. The hotel is quite dated in some areas which can make it look a little untidy. My biggest let down was the food, the dining area smelt and looked clean but food was not great in my opinion. There was a grill station and meat was never cooked through. I got pork and chicken which were both cold, pink and slimey in the middle. This did not bother me as I could cut around the uncooked pieces. It did make me uneasy having to check every bite that my child had to eat. I had to use the microwave to heat up various dishes then I tried the pallea one evening and the rice was hard and undercooked but the seafood set ontop was dried out under the heat lamps. Next was there was not enough seating for everyone during the evening entertainment. We can not comment about entertainment as we never got to watch it as there was never any seats available.

Staff were very pleasant at this hotel. Check in was swift and the hotel location is great, only a few minutes walk to the train station. There is a bus service too to one of the beaches. The hotel was clean. The room itself was good, the balcony had good views and caught the evening sun. The room had A/C which was great. The formal dining room (cannot remember the name) was a lovely experience. The all inclusive rate was very good value and the drink selection was good. The hotel has luggage storage facilities available also.

The lifts were unpredictable and slow - often it was quicker to take the stairs to the 6th floor! The food was at times very average, particularly the snacks available during the day. There was a lot of food wastage which was disappointing by guests and perhaps management should consider highlighting this more. The dining room, as it was open plan, was very loud and staff were quite loud removing plates and disposing of food (I appreciate that there will be some level of noise with same but it seemed to be very loud at times).
The entertainment as average and often was late starting. The pool loungers tended to be snapped up early in the morning, and disappointedly many of the loungers would be unoccupied during the day but people would leave towels etc on them to reserve them which is rather unfair in ways and perhaps something which management should address. The gym was quite small, but it did have a decent range of equipment.

The hotel is not a 4* hotel and in my opinion would be lucky to pass as a 3* hotel.
Overall, the stay was awful. The security guard was very rude as well. The hotel staff in the bars and restaurants were pleasant and friendly. The hotel is dated and in need of a full refurb. The food in the restaurant and drinks were passable but by no means a 4* hotel / environment. The pool was chaotic and too small an area for the size of hotel. At 9am, it was a free for all with sunloungers stacked and you had to set up yourself, which is pretty dangerous, especially for older individuals. Will not return.

Busy and chaotic at Marconfort!

The hotel is pretty run down and the pool area is FAR too busy for the size of it.

Rooms - ours was a corner room which was very small. Our friends had a slightly bigger one which really made the difference to them. If you are in any way over weight you’d not have fit in our bathroom! Everything was very dated. Most likely redecorated early 00s.

Bars - staff generally nice however always a queue because of lack of staff.

Restaurant - far too busy! There needs to be less tables so less people can go in. It’s absolute chaos at times. The food was generally ok though, lots to try.

Pool area - this has to be the worst part of the hotel. Far too busy and disorganised. Again, too many people for the area. The beds should be set up in the morning to achieve a sense or organisation. It looks absolutely nothing like the pictures!

Definitely avoid this hotel. No way is it a 4 star experience. Dirty, noisy, food of a poor standard and usually cold in temperature, the drinks served in the various bars within the hotel are all local brands and of a desired taste to say the least.
I would never return nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

Large busy hotel close to train station. Had a single room with balcony. Small, basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, great choice of buffet, breads, and a few cooked options that changed daily. Wifi was excellent, which I really appreciated as had some work to do while there. Our stay was well worth the money, the all inclusive package was excellent. The food varied and high quality, replenished frequently with a good choice. There was only one bar open which was the pool bar which meant drinking from plastic but it was understandable considering the continuing covid requirements. We found the beds particularly comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a good location. It is a quiet neighbourhood, the staff was very friendly and always helpful.
The food was average, obviously to please different tastes. The best dishes were the paella.
There is no enforcement as how to dress for dinner, skimpy shorts, t shirts, it spoils the evening, even in the more upmarket Italian Restaurant.

We arrived at the property around 0700. The lady at check in said we could check in on 1030. She worked the overnight shift and left. Two men took over, they were rude and unfriendly. The lady told us we would be able to get our rooms. Unfortunately, we had to wait until 1500.
We were given our all-inclusive bracelets at 1030 and then breakfast ended. We went up to the snack bar and the food was cold and disgusting. The tables were dirty and there were flies.
The reception area was ok. The rest of the property was dirty, and people smoked everywhere. When we finally got our room and the room was small. The beds were terrible, small, and they were terrible. The comforters in the rooms wasn’t clean and itchy. There was no place to store luggage’s in the rooms.

The food was mediocre at best. The dinning area was crappy and had mold on parts of the ceiling. The food lacked taste and flavor. The wait to find a table to sit was terrible everyday that we were there. The bar didn’t have adequate staff and there was always a line. The pool and entertainment areas are dirty and needed updating. The umbrellas and pool chairs were crappy. The pool was crowded every day; the pool isn’t big enough for people on the property. In order to get a space at the pool you would have to get there at 0800.
I would not recommend staying at this place. If you are not a non-smoker you would be stuck in your room or inside the building as everywhere outside people are smoking.

I booked this hotel for a break with my sister and niece having been recommended it by a friend. As it turns out he had stayed in the Marconfort Costa Del Sol by the beach front which he could not find fault with. However, we were quickly disappointed. The reception area is bright and airey. Our rooms were not ready for us to check in until 2 pm, so we had to wait. The pool area is a concrete mass. Cheap sun loungers and far to small for the number of rooms. Broken patio tiles and generally dirty and shabby, in need of a good clean. We had lunch in the buffet bar by the pool - again not very clean and a bad greasy smell. The food wasn't much better. We eventually got the check in, and the room was very basic, but clean and had air con. The down side was the third bed was a camper bed, with loose springs and very uncomfortable - fine for a child but not for a 45 year old woman to spend a week on! I suffered tossing and turning for two nights before having to look for it to be changed, which in fairness, was done that day. This hotel is hard to rate, parts of it are lovely, bright and airey and some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, other parts are dirty, in need of cleaning and the food wasn't good at all. The all inclusive option is handy for drinks and coffees but you quickly get bored of the same options for breakfast lunch and dinner. The dining hall is packed at all times. Not a hotel I would return to, nor recommend.

Great short break in Spain

Food was fine with plenty of choice. Snacks available when dining was closed. Free drinks a plenty and the staff all worked so hard and really are worth a mention. I really enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyed the central location of the hotel - near a lot of shops and train station is within walking distance. Loved that a beach bar was available (and a free bus service) which allowed for the all inclusive to be continued even on a beach day. Only wish for the beach bar to have more drinks, and would have liked to have been able I take these to the beach (although we understand that there are reasons this is not the case).

Great short break

Excellent break. Good food and service.
Staff really good.
Rooms a little basic, could do with tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Also no fridge in a 4 star is unusual.
Would stay again.

Great stay

Very good stay, room was nice and clean and beds were comfy, food was good and the all inclusive bar service was very quick. The pool was very crowded and the lifeguard kept packing away the sun beds early which was quite disappointing. Other than that it was a very good stay for the bargain we got our holiday at. We were also able to enjoy the use of our all inclusive holiday at the beach as we were able to get a free bus to the beach and use their sister hotel’s beach snack bar which was only a short minute’s walk from our sun beds at the beach.

Great hotel with great service! Lots of food to choose from in their buffets but there’s always a restaurant with set meals at the hotel. Staff members are friendly and great with my toddler grandson.

Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean but at times they were cleaned late in the day.
It was noisey and there were only two lifts. We had to wait for lift fir sometimes.
Overall it was good value for money and it was very centeally located.
