Really disappointed by this supposedly 4* hotel. The room was nice and mostly clean (a few hairs on the bed and in the bathroom), and staff were generally nice. But the all inclusive food was terrible - limited choice and everything was cold, even when going to dinner at the start of opening times.
The pool was good but having smokers in the pool bar, near where lunch snacks were being served was not nice.
The lifts are also tiny - I couldn't fit a pushchair and suitcase in the same lift. We also had to use two lifts to get up to floor 6 which was inconvenient. I think wheelchair users would have difficulty.
We booked a family room, and requested a cot, which was put in the room so that was good. We also had a decent view over the pool and out to sea. We only received one room key card which was slightly inconvenient.
We also asked for a kettle so we could make our baby bottles of milk. They refused. So we had to fill up 2 small Chilly bottles with hot water from the coffee machines so we had some hot water overnight. Luckily we had these bottles with us otherwise we wouldn't have been able to make bottles overnight.
You also had to pay a cash only deposit for the safe in the bedroom and also for pool towels. Most hotels have a card/token system in place for loaning beach towels.

Hotel is classified fixed as four star I would classify the facilities as the lowest bar by a whisper to attain this status. There are several things they could do at minimum cost to get it to be a nicer hotel.
I would love to do a consultation excercise, at a price with this hotel to share the number of simple things they could do to make this hotel even better.
I may stay here again if another hotel is not available and at the right price,

A few days at Bluesea al andulus

Hotel was very clean and staff were professional and polite. Room was a good size with nice sea view. It’s located in what seems to be a run down area of Torremolinos and is a 10 minute stroll to the beach. No onsite entertainment during our stay. We stayed all inclusive food options were limited and hot food was often cold. Drinks were ok. Had to pay a 1euro deposit for a cup to get drinks and needed to be persistent to get deposit back at end of holiday also had to pay 20€ deposit for pool towels and a 10€ deposit for room safe

I liked some points in this hotel, like it was large and spacious, next to the beach, staff are amazing, contains a wide car parking, and the breakfast room was very large and had many options, and the most options are delicious. But there is a note, that at first glance when you enter you think it is luxurious, but when you reach the room you will realize that it is old and in dire need of completely renovating everything in it. The bathroom is old and not completely clean and bad, and the shower is also bad, the beds are old and not that much comfortable and in need of renovation as well.

Reading some of the negative reviews I don’t agree with the hotel was clean and well run the only downside was there is no English TV but that’s a personal choice for me there was lots of choice for breakfast but unfortunately the cooked breakfast was only lukewarm on the five days I was there that was a bit disappointing

Appalling cleanliness

Very disappointed with my one night here (last night) in room 658.

I checked in with a 2 year old and was given a room on the top floor. The balcony was very unsafe for that age so we couldn't use it.
I had to go up some steps from reception to get to room with child, pushchair and bags and was offered no help.

No glasses in the room to even have a drink of water.
Remote control for aircon didn't work.
Bottom of the beds we're fraying.

But worst of all was the cleanliness.
There were dark hairs all over the bathroom, in the bath, on the floor, on the hairdryer.
I wiped a section of the carpet in the bedroom with a wet wipe and it was covered in dirt and hairs.
A contact lense under the bed.
Stain on carpet near fridge.
Stain on headboard.

Please see attached photos. Completely unacceptable.

I will say that the breakfast was very good with lots of options.

Mold in the ceiling of the bathroom and shower, doors about to fall of where the mini fridge was, carpet from 1935 maybe older, lousy pillows, air condition went down and instead of providing a repair ASAP they waited until the next morning at 11:00 for a service Paterson to show up. The gave me a room as a result of the air conditioning being down that made me feel I was in the military barracks.. if you guys rate this hotel 3.75 you need to review the measuring scale you are using this is a 1.5 star at the most.

Poor service, bad needs but clean

The place looks fine, but the service isn't very good.
There was someone at the parking pointing us where we could park the car temporarily. He didn't make any attempt top help us out with several heavy bags while holding a baby - he literally watched me walk in and out 3 times.
When we arrived at the front desk \"they didn't receive any confirmation from hotels.com\" - meaning I had to call the customer service to re-send a confirmation. This altogether took almost an hour and wasn't a good experience. The girl at the reception was just following get orders (she said) so no blame on her, but in a future scenario I'd suggest to be more proactive in sorting it out with your suppliers instead of letting me wait.
The floor of the room was covered with ants walking around and the bed was extremely hard and had this uncomfortable pillows. The room and bathroom were clean though and the gentleman at checkout was friendly and helpful.

Hotel was run down and rooms quite dated. There was a clear ant infestation at all locations in the hotel from the lobby to the bedrooms, including the beds themselves!
Food was ok, however not hot and clearly suited to the majority Spanish clientele
Staff were ok, helpful when required but not happy at their jobs which put a negative feel in the hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel unfortunatey, massive potential given location but not up to scratch for the 4* rating!

The Hotel is very nice, the location is great (5 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes walk from the train station and the center of Torremolinos, and it takes less than 10 minutes by train to get to the airport from the city center) and the room was very spacious. Only one thing... We had bed bugs in the bed. At first we thought it was mosquito bites but now that we're back at home, we have even more bites... They should really do something about that and at the same time, change the mattress that was horrible! Very hard and the least comfortable mattress I ever slept on. They changed the mattress during our stay but it was almost the same. Besides that, there's a very large choice of food in the buffet which is great! (Made us sleep better!) overall it's still a good hotel for the price and the location!

Not much change since last year.

The seventh time we've stayed here and not a lot has changed since last year despite rumours of a makeover. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable but a bit run-down and the a/c is reasonably effective and noisy. The food in the restaurant, never great, has gone steadily downhill since the introduction of 'all-inclusive' a couple of years ago. However, there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. The pool area, once quiet, is now very noisy as young families seem to have been attracted by the 'all inclusive' change. Sadly, this also seems to have led to the 'early morning sunbed race' which did not use to be the case at this hotel. The reason we continue to stay here is that it is convenient for a family member who lives near to the hotel. Next year, however, we may look elsewhere.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Smart and tidy hotel, 5 mins to the beachfront, bus stops right outside and taxi company next door. Hard working and very helpful staff were rushed off their feet at meal times but the food and service was good despite this. Room was standard, bathroom as you'd expect but beds could be a little comfier. On the whole nothing to complain about.

Hotel slowly going downhill.

This is the sixth year we've stayed here (2009 to 2014) and if it wasn't for the convenience of it we would have found somewhere else. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food, which was never a strong point, is now virtually inedible and we are not fussy eaters. The buffets are the same from day to day and are not much better than school dinners. The rapid downhill shift seems to be due to the 'all inclusive' deals they have introduced for the first time i.e. they've got your money so cut corners on the food. Apart from the food, the hotel is okay. Just save your money and eat elsewhere. There's plenty of choice in Carihuela.

The hotel has definitely lost it's mojo, the good points are the pool area and pool, the poolside bar is tired and the service and quality of food poor. I think the all inclusive option (which we did not have we were bed and breakfast) has certainly lowered the quality of food. The breakfast was a similar dissapointment and a canteen not a 4* buffet. The rooms are functionable but tired as was the bathroom and in my opinion could have done with a good clean. I wish they would re-grade themselves or upgrade the facilities as this hotel was once a classy establishment and is no more.

Great value, close to the beach

We booked it last minute and didn't know what to expect. We were VERY pleased in the end. A lovely hotel, with some obvious effort put in to the interior decor and the grounds. Lovely big pool and close enough to the beach.
The places right on the beach looked much more run down and obviously rely on their location. This hotel is only a 5min walk through the pedestrian only market to get to the long lovely beach. Almost exclusively locals frequenting the area, which was a nice surprise.
The hotel staff were a little hit and miss, some were great while others obviously didnt enjoy their jobs as much.
I would suggest paying for the all inclusive, because the cocktails were a bit expensive if you pay-as-you-go.
I would certainly go back again!

We wasnt sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and tidy and all staff were friendly and approachable. They always said hello and were willing to help. We had booked breakfast which had lots of variety. The pool was always clean and had a life guard nearby. The gardens were stunning, really well kept and a joy to be in. Even though we were out most evenings- there was entertainment on every night from Flamenco to Magic shows. There was actually activities on during the day too which was fun. Overall it was a really good hotel experience. The only reason we are not giving it a \"5\" is because a couple of the beds were a little bit springy and the lamp light was out- but to be fair this was a major problem, if we had addressed it with them we're sure they would have sorted that out. Would recommend!

Great location

Overall this is a fantastic hotel. Clean, tidy, comfy and friendly staff, from the front desk to the cleaners, English speaking on the front desk is of a very high standard. The hotel is about 7-10 minutes walk from the town centre, which is great for being away from the noise, but not too far if a mad night out is what you are after. The pool area is clean and tidy, however I recommend doing what everyone else does and take your towels down early, place them on the chairs, otherwise going down in the afternoon will be hard to find a chair that hasn't been 'saved' the Only downside and it is very minor, is the pool side bar, not much to offer in regards snacks and with no vending machine in the hotel I recommend popping to the shop across the road. As this trip was a romantic get away the hotel was spot on, bed was comfy, good size room, bathroom as very nice with TWO sinks!! Perfectly kept and very clean. Would stay again without a doubt

A nice hotel in need of some tlc!

We had an enjoyable stay at the royal al Andalusia. Check-in was a struggle because no-one spoke any English but thankfully our daughter is studying Spanish so we got through it ok. Our room was nice, spacious and clean. No complimentary water bottles in the room which is unusual for a 4 star. Breakfast was nice although no eggs on the first morning, only omelettes. Dinner was a bit disappointing. Not a lot to choose from and it felt more like a school canteen rather than a hotel restaurant. Overall, hotel is good value for money but I don't think we will be returning.

everything was good. no complaints. booked flights for april hoping to stay again but prices are higher. we had a v good bargain, but saying that i think we will book in at the higher rate cos we know its good, the devil u know! Staff are fantastic, room spacious with big bathroom, food good, swimming pool fab, so close to everything u need, like entertainment, chilled out restaurants, beautiful beach, markets, easy transport, what more can u say. its Spain at its best.

The stay at Al Andalus was very comfortable. Staff are welcoming and the breakfast is mammoth! Rooms are clean. Relaxation area and swimming pool are very good and also counts with a bar. The only downside is the fact that the hotel does not count with a private car park which deemed to be essential in Torremolinos as finding parking is extremely hard and we ended up leaving the car far away from the hotel.

Very disappointed in this \"4-star\" hotel. Check in was at 2:30, we showed up at 3:30 and had to wait another 45 minutes before we could get into the room. There was no air-conditioning anywhere yet they tell you that the entire hotel has air conditioning, The carpets in the room were disgusting. There were about 30 lounge chairs around the pool and at least 20 of them had towels draped over them without a person to be seen using them for over 4 hours. Would never stay here again.

Rooms where a good size and beds where made daily and room cleaned. Pool area was nice and managed to get sunbed on most days, if not plenty of grass area to lie on. Not bad for the price... could be better.

Hotel is fine in the general areas.
Parking was a nightmare, but I lucked out and got a spot, otherwise you have to drive round to a car park, or try street parking nearby.
The room was fine and had a nice view of the sea.
However, I was disappointed with the AC which really did not work very well. And the fridge only works when you are in the room as it is only active when you have the room key in the slot to keep electricity supply on in the room!
There was a humid/musky odour in the room and it seemed to be coming from the fridge which seemed like it had not been cleaned.
The free WIFI only works in the lobby which is a pain if you need access.No access to wifi or any connection in the rooms.
Its ok for a stopver to the airport, generally clean and great staff.
Breakfast was fine too.

We chose to stay at this Hotel for our first trip to Spain. For the price this hotel is perfect. It was very quiet and it appears well maintained. Our room was spotless and had plenty of room for the four of us. I must say that the AC is virtually non existent. There was a bit of cold air that came out but it had no affect on the room and as soon as you leave your room and pull the room card it shuts off. I read other reviews about the food so I was prepared and only purchased breakfast. The food is really not that good and pretty redundant but there are plenty of local places to eat. We stayed here in April so the temp was uppper 70s. For some reason the pool was ice cold. My kids had a hard time swimming in it because it was so cold. It you want a place to lay your head after a long day this is a perfect place but if you need AC (like we do) then I would suggest looking somewhere else.

Great value for money.

For a family with 2 young children, this hotel is great especially as the hotel room is big, equipped with 4 single beds and comfortable. The breakfast is not too bad either. Plenty of choices at least in our opinion. The garden outside is very nicely done and maintained. My kids loved the shack and play area next to the pool as well as other bulls scattered around. Good value for money. Parking is free and close to the entrance.

Always stay here

This is the third time (July 2011) we've stayed at the Al-Andalus and the quality hasn't changed since our first time. It is clean, quiet, very well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only minor criticism is that the restaurant food gets a little samey if you are there for more than a couple of days but there are plenty of alternative places to eat just a few minutes' walk away. We'll be back again next year (2012).

Pleasant and quiet stay

It's a perfect hotel for people who want peace and quiet. Not a place to have fun and meet people. Lots of couples or families with children (who keep to themselves). On the technical side my only complaint is about the air conditioning. There is no cold air that comes out of it. It turns out to be just a fan and it's not even over the bed. So if you like a cool room after the heat outside, forget it!

Service at this Hotel was V good. It is 5minutes walk, across a busy road, down hill to the beach shops etc., and about a 10-15 minute walk to the railway station in Torremolinos. The food was good both breakfast & evening meal, on the Sunday for breakfast, because there are a lot of people there just for the weekend, you had to queue up for sometime to get served. Would stay here again.

I stayed at the hotel Al Andalus for two nights in early feb. The room I was given on the first night was clean and functional although it had not yet been refurbished like rooms on Lower floors. The balcony had not been cleaned and had a few toe nails left over frrom the previous occupant. I asked to change for the next night and was given a refurbed room. There is a good choice of food in the restaurant and the hotel staff are very helpful. Not much going on but if you are looking for a quiet stay this is your place.

Royal Al Andalus Torremollinos

I recently stayed in this hotel for one night following a short stay at the Roc Flamingo in the centre of Town. The Andalus is a short 10 minute walk away from the centre and is a world away from the Flamingo. it was an oasis of tranquility as there were very few guests which was a shame as the hotel was a pleasure to stay in. the rooms were modern and comfortable and the hotel itself was spotless. The evening meal was excellent with a wide choice and the breakfast although basic w2as good. Sadly apart from sleeping the hotel offered little in the way of amenities or entertainment but for a short overnight in december it was excellent.

Very pleased with the hotel and staff. Excellent reception, informative and helpful. Cleaning staff equally good. Room was large with a good-sized well-equipped bathroom. Balcony with view of the sea. Good solid bed. Flat screen tv with a wide selection of tv channels. Copious buffet breakfast. Again warm and friendly waiters and chefs.
I arrived already with a cold which developed into a chest infection. When I enquired about pharmacies and a doctor, I was given all the necessary information and help.The staff showed a lot of care, concern - and also disappointment that I had to stay in bed for a couple of days while there was wonderful weather outside!! I really felt looked after.
I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy the area in the low season, and I hope that I will be able to go back soon!

Great Stay at Al Andalus

A group of six of us stayed early November. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the beach and Carihuela. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean (Towels changed every day). Food was typical Spanish buffet style, but adequate. The pool area and garden grounds were well maintained. All in all we had a great time and are considering returning in 2011

We read a lot about this hotel before choosing it and most of what we read was positive, and so it should be, the hotel represents great value for money. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by polite, efficient, knowledgeable staff who are all English speaking and very very smart in their red waistcoats. Room, 4th floor, large clean well equiped although the furniture was a little tired. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with constant hot water and a great shower. I have read that some thought the food was not good, forget it, the food was very good with 2 fish dishes, 2 meat dishes, 2 vegetable dishes, potato and pasta dishes every night. Always a great selection of salad, cold meats, cheeses and much much more. What you have to remember is the price you are paying, you will not want for more. Restaurant, big, clean with super efficient and very friendly smiley staff, good for a joke, very smart and nothing was to much trouble. The same at breakfast, bacon, eggs, potato, black pudings, choritzo sausage, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, toast, yogurts and a fantastic coffee machine, what more could you ask for. The bar, again good staff, well equiped, big flat screen T.V. This hotel is listed as a 4 star hotel, I have read that some say it is only a 3 star and they are correct in my opinion but it is one of the best 3 stars i've stayed in, and remember the money your paying, IT IS GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. If your driving parking is easy, if you travel by public transport, the bus stop is very close and the beach is literally a 5 minute walk. The only thing, and I mean the only thing I personally could find fault with was that it was positioned on a busy road which kept me awake sometimes in the night if we had the door to the balcony open. If your heavy sleepers or sleep with the door closed you will not have a problem. Again, for the money your paying I would highly recommend this hotel

We stayed at the hotel in 2009 and so had no hesitation in staying there again this year (2010). The hotel is well placed for the beach, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful and it is clean and well maintained. The buffet food is good but does get a bit familiar after a few days. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area.

Cons: VERY noisy lounge, entrance, dining hall, and also at the location of my room - right next to two elevators with plings every arrival at floor (mine, below and above) and drunk all-inclusive guests going in and out.

Please at least install sound reduction-materials in the big wall to cealing stone/concrete areas.

Et okay hotel til prisen

Det var et okay hotel til prisen, værelset stort og indbydende.
Poolen var helt fint men ekstrem dårlige solsenge der alle var knækket i midten så du lå meget dårligt og de skulle være hurtig og tidligt nede for at få en.
All inklusive cocktail der kan man vælge med 3 forskellige, virkelig dårlig stil og meget uinteressant men lækkert med snacks ved poolen efter kl 12 som burger og pommes frites.
Aftensmaden var okay men ikke særlig spændende og den mindste salatbar jeg længe har set.
Morgenmaden var okay, tilgengæld er restauranten forfærdelig med alt det larm der er og noget de burde gøre noget ved, det er ikke til at holde ud at spise der.

Men alt i alt et okay hotel

Ma chambre était situé au dessus du local à poubelle.
Chambre donc sans balcon .
Quand j’ouvrais ma fenêtre les cafards entraient dans ma chambre j’en ai même ramené un cafard à l’accueil .
Salle de bain minuscule avec des remontées d’égouts
Moquettes au sol très peu nettoyé.
Sèche serviette salle de bain rouiller.
Réglage de la pomme de douche casser
Armoire sans tablette pour ranger lés vêtements
Coffre placer au sol absolument pas pratique
Le lit garni de coussin décoratif plus encombrant qu’autre chose
Les fixations des portes manquantes ou cassées
Chambre placée juste à coté de 2 ascenseurs donc le bip toute les minutes

Dirty worn carpets in the hallways and in my room.
Leaky AC that dripped water, room smelled like wet dog.
Asked but was not allowed to change rooms fully booked.
Had to have the balcony door open the entire stay to be able to be in the room.
But below my balcony the staff sat smoking.
Had to have AC on the entire stay.

No nos gustó la habitación asignada y al comentarlo nos dijeron que al ser una promoción oferta no podíamos esperar más... 1º piso cuando hay plantas y el hotel no tenía ocupación total
y la ventana daba al patio trasero a la zona de descarga y basuras.... La ducha tenía el sistema roto de cambio de agua. Pero la limpieza y personal de limpieza y sala muy bien no tanto la recepción de la tarde noche... Un saludo

Este hotel carece de insonorizacion en las habitaciones, pues hasta los papeles se escuchan, cogi 2 noches en este hotel y no estuve ni 12 horas, por supuesto no hicieron nada al respecto aun quejandome en recepcion, pagué tambien 2 noches de parking y por supuesto ko han echo ni por devolverme el dinero, en fin no recomiendo para nada este hotel
