My stay at Hotel Nostrum Málaga Airport was genuinely distressing and felt unsafe. The hotel is on an industrial estate adjoining a casino. As a British traveller, I was unaware of the nature of the area, but it quickly became clear that it attracts disruptive guests and does not feel appropriate for families or women travelling alone. I arrived around 3pm after being awake all night in hospital and clearly explained that I urgently needed a quiet room. Despite this, I was placed in a noisy twin room directly above the reception atrium. The room smelled musty and unclean. There was no food or drink available during the day aside from overpriced vending machines, no minibar, and no toiletries beyond a basic wall-mounted soap. After being refused a cancellation twice, I requested a room change. The second room was marginally better but had no curtains or blinds, meaning full daylight, when I needed sleep. Later that day, I was woken in shock by two men violently banging on my door. I genuinely believed someone was trying to break in and immediately called reception. I was told a heavily intoxicated guest was being restrained and repeatedly falling against my door with a staff member. Afterward, the corridor was littered with broken glass, food, and what appeared to be blood! No one checked on me or followed up. The next morning, a receptionist casually said the incident had been discussed on the staff WhatsApp group. This lack of professionalism and safeguarding was shocking.

The lady at reception was not very approachable, looks that she doesn't like what is she doing. I didnt know i have to present the passport at the reception as i have done the reservation already amd is not like someone else could get in the possession of my reservation. And also i have someone that it was with me during the reservation but is from that region of the country but we was simply lucky that the person had the passport with it. Because they havent specified anything about passports and even more for someone who will acompany you, lets say its fine for the person who made the reservation. It was kind of embarrassing, imagine it didn't had the passport. What then? Stay separate? Or travel to get the passport? This is absurd. Anyway, on top of everything when i said that i simply didnt know about this and those details have supposed to be shared to me in advace, her aproach with her reply was kind of rude and unprofessional, asking me if i made a reservation before at some hotel, and i have been surprised when she said that. I have in many different places in multiple countries, you cant say that just because i am not aware for your rules, i could get easily prepared for this if they will inform me after i made the reservation online. The room is not proper isolated, you can hear people talking in the corridor or even next room, so quiet noisy for being called a hotel. Also location is quiet bad, being isolated, nothing close to that place, no atractions, no shops.

This hotel would be so much nicer if they picked up the trash strewn around the exterior of property. Very dirty and it gives a poor impression of the place. The casino next door was not expected but presented no problems other than no available free parking. The night clerk was not great but the day time staff was lovely. Rooms were clean and fairly modern.

The widow shutters rattled all night keeping us awake. I heard another guest complaining.
The shower leaked under the screen onto the floor.
Only one set of towels put out
The pool was closed for refurb.
The hotel is in an urban setting with no gardens and nothing nice to walk to nearby.

Cockroaches (cuckaracha), x 3 then a 4th, in the bathroom. Huge!. The first 2 spotted and reported approx 3:00 in the morning. They ran up as high as towels & toilet tissue. Although staff caught and flushed away those 2, and the 3rd, we couldn't use the bathroom from then on until morning. Kept bathroom door closed. Early morning 4th cockroach spotted, housekeeping staff were then available so mopped and cleaned all the surfaces, and changed the towels and toilet roll. Staff sprayed some beasty deterant - assured us that it was not poisonous to humans but to give it at least half an hour to disburse. Had already explained that husband has asthma. So essentially no bathroom. No other room (apparently) available. No complimentary soap, shampoo etc. Refund refused, but allowed to stay in room for extra few hours. Breakfast lovely. But NEVER AGAIN.

I’ve only scored it lower than excellent as it’s going through a lot of work at the mo the outside the hotel is a little messy but it’s great location for the airport, less than €10 to the airport. Apart from that this is a lovely hotel really modern and got some nice staff, only stayed a night but would defo stay longer when I visit Malaga next time.

Beyond dissappointed

The area felt unsafe. Thankfully we had a car, as I wouldn't have walked anywhere. It was surrounded by an industrial estate, with people sitting on the corners, pushing trollies and the rubbish was awful.
There was a casino, that felt very out of place and I didn't understand the need for it.
Air conditioning didn't work.
Pool and rooftop bar said it was open until 10pm, it wasn't! The whole area was shut off. Very disappointed with this, as that was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel.
Service at breakfast was atrocious! We had to clear a table in order to sit. We placed the plates and cutlery on the counter and they didn't even thank us or offer to clear the table. Coffee order was wrong, food order was wrong, and everything felt like an inconvenience to the two members of staff. They took our coffee order and then started chatting. When they were speaking in Spanish I very much felt like they were talking about us.
We put the empty juice jugs on the counter in the hope that they would refill them, they didn't. Everyone who walked in didn't know what to do, people stood there waiting to be seated but no one acknowledged them or helped, it was embarrassing to watch. We actually told one man to sit down.
We had the most expensive room and it didn't feel any different to a cheap hotel room. The toiletries were basic and stuck to the walls in dispensers. There was no door to the bathroom, which wasn't something we were aware of when booking. Would not stay again!

Nice enough facility, but...

The hotel's casino and neighboring gentlemen's club in an industrial park neighborhood made the hotel feel a bit \"creepy\". Further, whilst checking in at night I found the corridors and hallways to be inadequately lighted-- I did not feel safe. The hotel feels much better during daytime hours whilst naturally illumined. The facility itself is modern and clean. The housekeeper was helpful and professional. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle, but upon arrival Reception was very vague and non-committal about being able to provide the shuttle service apparently due to a taxi strike. Given that the local taxi union is now striking on a semi-regular basis, hotel management should have had a back-up plan to provide shuttle service despite the local taxi strike. For most guests, the main reason for staying at this hotel is proximity and transportation to the airport, so if there is no guaranteed shuttle service, what's the point of staying here?

We have to thank very warmly the hotel Manager who helped us personally to return our rental car and organise our transportation to the airport the next morning. There was a taxi strike last week-end in Malaga and without his help we would have been in a terrible situation.
Unfortunately we do not have his name, he was on duty Saturday Sept 24th during the day.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights September 2022. The hotel was very good, the room was large and very clean
The location is in a commercial area but only a short walk into main area. The desk staff we’re very helpful, the male member of the restaurant staff we’re less helpful very rude only thing he was interested was how much money he could make out a customer. Charging 3euro for ice to my room, refusal to allow my wife to take a glass from the restaurant to our room, it very much spoilt what was a good experience

The check-in process: Despite Expedia promising immediate after-hours check-in as I arrived at 1:30 am, I could not get a room because the booking was extremely late in arriving to the hotel (over an hour after I had booked, it still had not arrived). I eventually had to pay for a new room in order to get some sleep, which the hotel reimbursed in the morning. Personnel were super helpful, but had an error in the system and gave me an already occupied room.

Worst place I've ever stayed at.
Where do i begin? It's in a terrible neighborhood with a view of a warehouse covered in graffiti. No door to the bathroom and toilet with a window from the bed to the bathroom offered no privacy at all. No cups in the bathroom. I asked for them and was told (in an attitude) that they could not provide cups. No toilet paper holder, an almost empty roll of toilet paper and no spare, no soap dish or shelf at all in the shower. No where for shampoo bottles, etc. The fridge didn't work at all. Plastic lawn furniture in place of actual chairs in the room and the stained sofa covered with a sheet. Ants at the breakfast bar, and a very low quality paella at dinner with almost no seafood in it. The pool closed at 8pm but we were told the rooftop bar would at least stay open until 11pm. It closed at 830pm and they cleared everyone out so you had literally no where to go other than your room. Our \"suite\" had a view of a wall. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say i definitely DO NOT recommend staying here. Low quality all the way and i feel deceived and ripped off. Horrible. Really.

Very dark dingy property. The surrounding area is a rundown industrial park, the field across the street is riddled with trash and overgrown with weeds.

The hallways are not air-conditioned, nor is the elevator, the rooms are industrial and Poorly maintained.

Atrium above the front desk is filthy and dirty. The front desk staff was rude and very and accommodating.

Please search algorithm on Travelocity’s website, chose this hotel because the search for Acurio chosen indicated free airport shuttle. There is no free airport shuttle, it’s a taxi.

I was so disgusted and is appointed with the hotel, I left and booked a different hotel. I am hopeful to get refunded for this mockery of a hotel.

This was the worst place I stayed during two weeks in Spain.
The room was awkward since the bed and a giant cabinet behind it were positioned in the middle of the floorspace, taking up almost the entire room, leaving only narrow paths between the bed and wall. You practically had to walk sideways around the bed, which also made the room an obstacle course in the dark -- and you can't even reach a light switch from the bed, so you HAVE TO walk in the dark to get to bed!

And because there's no night stand, there was no convenient place to put my phone to charge during the night, so I had to again navigate the dark just to check the time.

The only furniture was a gross plastic lawn chair.

The shower dripped all night (I think every time someone upstairs flushed a toilet), the bartender was rude, the bed hard, and the location far from anything of interest.

I had booked two nights here, but because of the massive flight cancellations during the Omicron surge, my flight was moved up and I wanted to cancel my second day, since I would be on a plane. The manager refused, hiding behind \"hotel policy,\" even though cancelling just one of the days still gave them more than 24 hours to fill the room, which was completely unreasonable. There's no reason he couldn't have refunded me one day, but I guess it's hotel policy to rip people off.

Super convenient to Malaga airport with a great room - bed, shower, toiletries all top quality and proved just want I needed to rest-up after a long, stressful journey. There’s a super nice little restaurant on site with friendly attentive staff and freshly prepared food. The reception team were exceptionally good when I needed help with sorting out new travel documents due to a missed flight. If you find yourself delayed or need somewhere to stay near the airport to rest-up while travelling, I would wholeheartedly recommend you stay here. Heart-felt thanks to all the staff for being so warm and helping me reorganise my travel plans. The pro-active approach of the reception team was faultless allowing me to relax and get new flight plans and documents in place quickly. Excellent value, service and rooms. 5 out of 5 from me. Estupendo.

The hotel is in an industrial area at least 15 mins by car from Malaga centre. There are no accessible restaurants near by. The hotel restaurant was not of good quality (was served cheese that was rock hard and clearly stale)
The pool was tiny. The bed was the best part- very comfortable.
A little dissatisfied overall.

Took a 1 king bedroom. Didn't want to stay in the center of the town's madness, wanted easy access to the car. This worked perfectly, the room was super clean, had a fridge and safe as well as the TV. Also Air conditioner. Free parking under the hotel. I wouldn't go there because of the view around, there's not much to see, there is a poll on the rooftop, not fancy, but there is a pool.

The roof top bar and pool are very nice although dominated on our day by 20 somethings. Nothing wrong with that if in the mood to party and if you are somewhat close ro that age.

Our dinner was surprisingly good. A very nice high quality dinner. The chicken kabobs were the best tasting chicken and perfectly cooked.

This hotel is good for a one-night stay or maybe a couple of nights. The restaurant does not offer a lot of choices, though what I had was okay for one day. The room was clean and neat, but the toilet seat was old and needed changing from wear. I would stay here if I needed a place close to the hotel in Malaga, but I would not stay here for a longer trip.

This hotel was a last min choice as we were travelling through Malaga and decided to stay here. Good choice it was. The hotels only a few mins from the airport and also the city centre is quite closeby. The hotel was proper clean, staff were nice. Would definitely recommend this place as it’s value for money

Great food and service in restaurant. Well appointed room and comfortable king bed. Location good for quick travel. No walkable to any attractions, shopping or other food opttions.
