Centrally located, not too far from a El Corte Ingles department store. Clean & functional accommodation. Good breakfast with something to suit all tastes. Was only there one night, so unfortunately never got an opportunity to try the spa area out. All told - a fine choice .

Well-located, the Illunion is a ten minute walk from the train station and just ten minutes from the old town area with all its cafes and restaurants.

The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Absolutely lovely room, incredibly friendly staff, and my daughter adored the pool! The location worked well for us — while some of the popular attractions were a little walk away, taxis were very affordable and made getting around easy and convenient.

Although the food at hotel restaurant was mediocre, it wasn’t an issue at all since Málaga offers such an amazing variety of fantastic dining options nearby — you’re truly spoiled for choice.

Overall, the hotel offered outstanding value for money and was absolutely perfect for a family stay. We had a wonderful experience and would happily choose it again on our next trip to Málaga!

Had pleasure of spending last two night's of Spain vacation at Ilunion Malaga in order to be in close proximity to Airport Malaga; ultra clean, good restaurant and bar on-site with great food choices and staff, pool/exercise/sauna health centre, with amicable and professional staff.

Travel companion had unfortunate incident at indoor pool (loose grab bar at steps leading into pool), and reception staff/manager handled issue.

Would def book hotel again and give it high recommendations.

PS Really GREAT gin and tonic!! and breakfast buffet!!

The hotel was nice, clean, spacious and is in a convenient location. Staff were responsive and accommodating to guest.

Breakfast was very good as it is prepared and cook on the same day and with a lot of options to choose from.

However, before our stay, I message the hotel informing that we are celebrating my wife’s birthday and that if she can have a small treat ( a piece of cake, a bottle of wine or whatever ) it was acknowledge by replying to my message BUT THERE IS NO TREAT WHICH I AM WAITING FOR DURING OUR STAY

Hotel very modern and when we noted to Reception that the bath was too high to climb into and had no safety rails we were moved immediately. Thankyou Amin for your help. My primary gripe was that there was a girls hockey team plus trainers/officials staying at the same time and they made breakfast time a nightmare. They took over the dining room with all their gear and did not vacate once their meal was over but stopped other guests(including one lady with a wheelchair) getting tables. and access to eating facilities. The officials were as bad on their iPads
It completely spoiled our breakfast and the staff seemed unable to cope with it. We know that there are Conference facilities at the hotel so why couldn’t they have vacated there? I realise that in this financial climate that no hotel chain is going to refuse a large booking but surely the management should have checked this situation and issued guidance to the waiting staff because certainly none of the officials who travelled with this team made any effort to take command of a situation they had created.Plus the hotel is further out than I would have liked The walk to the city is along a busy main road and the bus which Reception had advised us to take still had not arrived after 40 minutes. I would not have chosen to walk back that way late at night so we took taxis. Would choose a more central hotel if I ever returned to Malaga.

A very comfortable hotel not too far from the city centre. The pool and hot tub were only lightly heated in January which was disappointing, however the service and amenities were excellent
. We stayed in a top-floor suite with a very large balcony overlooking the harbour. It was a quiet room, and very well equipped with soundproofing.

The location was about a 15-20 minute walk from the tourist places.

Our Room reeked of tobacco. Luckily they were able to change it. Not sure how they were unaware of it; it smelled so strong.

I want to share of our Bad breakfast experience on 1/27.

We arrived to breakfast around 10:16 a.m. and when we provided our room number to the man at the front desk, we also asked when brekakfaat ended. He said half past 10 and that they had been there since 7. I remember thinking why he was sharing so much information, I didn’t care what time they got there, I just needed to know how much time I had.

We asked again to clarify and he again repeated half past 10. I looked at him and said at 10:30? and he looked straight at me and just ignored me, didn’t respond to my question. I remember being confused at the moment but now I realize that he was being rude and unkind. He could have said, oh you know we do close in about little over 10 minutes but you’re welcome to grab a plate we just need to clear the dinning room by x time.

He also did not greet guest at least our group as we were leaving. I saw him on the computer and phone looking at photos of staff? Like professional photos. Even when we got there and first arrived, he was looking at the screen I had to wait a moment for him to give us his attention…

I wouldn’t lodge here again. I’m sure Malaga has lots of great places.

There were several lovely places to gather and the pool area was really nice.

The safe in the room is broken. I requested to fix it and left a message with the front desk. He assured me that he would get a technician to take a look.
By the time I checked out the hotel for three nights, the safe hadn’t been fixed yet. I had to carry all my possessions with me during the trip in Malaga.

We’d a one night stay before travelling on to Estepona. The hotel is in a very good location within a short walk of the centre.It seems more suited to business and conference guests, but it was fine for our needs. The bedroom is large with a huge comfortable bed. We didn’t eat or drink there so can’t comment on food or service quality.

This is a modern, well maintained hotel with good overall facilities, good room cleaning etc. Breakfast restaurant is excellent (just the coffee machines are slow). However the dining restaurant and bar on the ground floor (and associated room service) are absolutely terrible: poor service and not well cooked food. That is also noticeable because there are so few customers in that restaurant. Avoid this part of the hotel as the plague! Should this latter been taken care of, it would be an excellent modern hotel worthy of the per night price it charges.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station. It was expensive, but with good reviews, I decided to pay extra expecting a quality stay. Unfortunately, that’s not what I got.

At check-in, I was given a room that wasn’t ready—filthy, with towels on the floor, an unmade bed, and trash everywhere. After I complained, they apologized and asked me to return later. When I did, they gave me the same room, now cleaned.

Not long after, water began leaking from the ceiling near the AC. I asked for another room, but was told the hotel was full. Instead, a technician spent a long time fixing it while I just wanted to rest in the comfortable room I paid for.

Maybe I was unlucky, but based on this experience, I can’t leave a positive review for this hotel.

Stay was great except for the mini fridge

The room was nice and everything was great except the fridge was leaking. We think someone changed the temp and it caused the ice to melt that was built up on the top part. The fridge looked a little dirty, but everything else during my stay was great. We let them know there was a puddle around the fridge and they asked us to come down and get some towels.

I booked two rooms for my family and myself. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. My concerns were the walk to the centre as it was the other side of the river. But, a taxi ride was only six euros. The pool was good, I’d definitely stay here again.
