Prices don't reflect how nice these rooms are. I stayed in a suite which was a huge room with everything you'd need. Weirdly the sofa is underneath the TV but there are 2 other chairs. It's an old building and there is clearly work that needs doing but it's clean and comfortable.

Check in was good, no drama. The evening meal was absolutely fantastic and well priced. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. Staff were courteous and friendly. I would definitely stay again - the hotel was right in the city centre and was close to the places we wanted to get to. My only negative was the room was a little tired regarding the decor, but apart from that bed was ultra comfy, shower was amazing! Will definitely miss that. But if the room had a fresh lick of paint it would be 10 out of 10.

The building is not as advertised, looks very run down and scabby on the outside and the photos provided are definitely mock ups rather than actual photos.

No real signs or directions to reception on arrival, it's not clear which of the front doors you're meant to go through. No proper reception area to sit to wait to check in as it pairs with the restaurant.

Room was not as advertised, very small, very worn down and dated, was downstairs for some reason, had a tiny window and was cold despite the heating being on. Bathroom had someone's fake lashes on the floor despite the room being \"cleaned\" before check in.

Restaurant was fine for dinner, food was alright but service was pretty bad, staff not really paying attention to customers and long waits on drinks and bill despite it not being busy.

Staff on reception were nice and tentative but that's about the only good thing about the place. Would stay elsewhere.

Definitely go visit Arndale shopping centre as well as Trafford Centre

Room not ready for 2 hours

I was incredibly disappointed by the service of this hotel. I arrived 45mins after the advertised checkout time. I was visiting for an black tie event so needed to get ready in my room and leave by 5pm.
On arrival I was told my room was not ready and would be cleaned in 15 minutes. An hour an a half goes by in which I am forced to get ready for this event in the hotel lobby, using the poor restaurant toilet to get changed in. My room was finally ready by 5pm but I had to leave so I threw in my suitcases and left.
At no point was I offered an alternative room to use, and when asked if I could at least have a free drink from the restaurant whilst I waited I was refused.
I cannot honestly rate the rest of the facilities because other than sleeping in the bed for 4 hours, I didn't get to use a single one. There also was no information given to be about the hotels facilities or even any information within the room about any.

Upon discussing this issue via the booking platform the hotel apparently said I was lucky to have been upgraded to a deluxe room...no use if I couldn't use it when I had needed! And the only compensation for this poor stay was a 30% discount offered on my next stay....which there is no way I would be re booking anyway!

The location of the hotel is well suited to visiting the local stadiums, and has a tram station right behind it so travel is easy.

Decent hotel for a reasonable price

The rooms are adequate for what they are. Internal rooms without windows are always a little strange to stay in. The reception is tucked away by the restaurant and there's not much faff for checking in. Clean, well presented bathrooms. Just a good all rounder hotel. You're getting what you're paying for.

Would stay again in the main hotel, staff were outstanding! Breakfast was on point! Many parking spaces but I feel there shouldn’t be a charge as already the hotel is expensive. For a first timer it was a bit creepy setting inside and dark however it’s very beautiful staircase for taking pictures. There is also the option to stay in small cottage type room behind the hotel but it did not look the best and the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade which we were grateful for. No views, a lot of site work going on around the area but it’s close to most places to visit.

I've a mixed review about my stay at the Trafford Hall Hotel. My first visit was pleasant, free room upgrade and the double room was nice. Bathroom was modern, good shower. The bed was comfortable enough - although had dirty marks on one of the pillows. Towels are big and couldn't complaint about the facilities.

The second time I stayed, I booked a single room. Was \"upgraded\" to a double... but it had no windows or aircon. Asked reception for new room, as I couldn't stay in this new room. Was given a room on 2nd floor (there's no elevators btw, but this was fine). and was given a new smaller room with window. Again, bed was fine. Most towels were clean - one was stained/dirty. But this time, the bathroom was awful. Again, same modern style bathroom with good shower - but the sewage smell was disgusting. When I returned to my room after being out all day, I had to throw open the small window and get the fan back on. This had to be kept on all night because of the awful smell. The drains/shower definitely needed to be cleaned properly, because the smell was unacceptable.

I’m not sure why the room was described as a king suite? The word suite is very misleading especially as I paid £160 for a room with basically just 2 large beds in it? No chair dressing table etc…. Lighting very poor one bedside light was broken and hanging upside down, no plug sockets near the 1 mirror in the room to do your hair but the lighting was so bad you can’t see yourself in it anyway! The tea and coffee making facilities very basic with no decaf options, and no plug socket next to the kettle? So you have to take the kettle off the stand and put it at the side of your bed to boil it!! The bathroom was ok but the sink is tiny so you struggle to get the kettle in there to actually fill it up? Overall the room is very plain and bare and basic and I was very disappointed with it for the price that I paid. I have paid less in Manchester and stayed in much better… I picked here because I needed parking which I had to pay an extra £5 for and the car park isn’t great and needs attention. It’s not worth the money

Stayed here for 2 nights as it was close to family members that we were visiting (otherwise I would never have considered choosing this hotel / location). The room was nothing like the pictures, we booked a cottage room but ended up with a windowless dungeon in the basement with no natural light. The walls were paper thin and we were kept up till the early hours of the morning by a large family above us, and then woken up early by the same family, resulting in us only getting 3 hours of sleep. The double bed is 2 beds pushed together, incredibly uncomfortable mattresses where you can feel the springs and cheap, thin duvet covers that don’t stretch over the width of the bed. I would avoid this hotel altogether!

\"Tired looking\" building inside and out but quaint. I believe its an old, tranformed town hall, that shows its age on the inside. That being said the room was clean and adequate, and the staff was very nice. I wish there was a better system in getting your room cleaned. They dont have a sign you see at other hotels that say \"do not disturb\" on one side, and \"service room\" on the other. So you were left with the cleaning staff knocking on your door, different times every day, asking if you need anything. When they knocked we were either resting, or getting ready to leave, and we were told by the front desk, that they wont enter to clean your room if youre not there. Also, no safe for valuables in oir room.

Awful place to stay, service just as bad as the hotel.

Room wasn’t clean, pen marks on the sheets, hairs in the shower, marks all over the walls. Beds are hard, and we were given a ‘free upgrade’ but that then meant we were in a room which backed on to a huge pipe that I can only assume was the heating system. At 6am this started up and that was our wake up call as it made the most horrendous noise. Walls were paper thin and we could hear people in the corridors until late into the night.

We didn’t even bother staying for breakfast, but on checkout after waiting for a staff member to be found we did raise our issues. Only to be told we could expect a call in a couple of hours for a manager to discuss.

Of course no call.

We were also advised by the first member of staff to pay for parking in the morning, yet the next in the morning told us not to worry about paying, so really hope we don’t get a fine through the post but who knows.

Although this wasn’t a cheap stay, my advise would be pay the slightly higher price and stay elsewhere.

Extremely terrible experience started with a long wait till check in . I booked a large room but they placed me in another building saying all rooms are booked and we are sorry had someone check in after me but stayed in the main building. The second building turned out to be the staff building where i couldnt sleep from the staff speaking in hindi loudly and shouting at the corridor . Bathroom wasnot clean and the shower floor had a suspicious brown thing that i opted to wipe . Terrible customer service . Kindly review this property wouldnt pay 10 dollars for a room there

Got there early as we were going to Cricket and left the car there. With forethought we should have booked for dinner as when we got back couldn’t get us in. Usually all hotels we stay in ask if you want a table which is helpful. We were rushing to get to Cricket so never thought.
Everything else room facilities were good. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as it was buffet which usually suits us but Sausages were cold and the rest tepid.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in a very spacious suite, both clean & comfortable. Staff were extremely polite & efficient, even when busy, found time to be attentive. We were there to watch The Hundred at Old Trafford Cricket Ground & the hotel couldn't have been in a better location, literally a 10min walk down the same street! Think we've found our new go to hotel. Very happy all round.

A fantastic hotel

I absolutely loved my stay and I will definitely book again. The staff were wonderful, all friendly and helpful. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable with all the facilities I needed including hairdryer and ironing board with iron. The only thing lacking was hanging space for my clothes but that wasn't really a problem. Breakfast was lovely with everything from beans on toast to a full English. Continental was also available with yogurt, pastries and cereals. A convenient location, easy to find and plenty of parking. Disabled access wasn't great as the one disabled parking space was at the back of the hotel with entrance through the fire doors, which weren't always open. Overall a great place to stay and one I highly recommend.

My stay was truly enjoyable. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, creating a relaxing environment. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any needs or questions. The amenities provided added to the overall experience, breakfast was amazing and a large selection of choices. The location was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions and activities. Good value city break.

The hotel is a lovely old building and its well-located for Trafford Bar tram station. The area is a bit run down but OK.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the even upgraded us to a nicer room which was welcome. Room pretty clean, great shower. Bed was a good size and although pillows not as comfortable as I'd like slept fine. Breakfast great. All in all a good value stay.

Trafford hall half marathon stay

Definitely not 4 star maybe a 3 but clean and good location to tram station
Need to pay attention to maintenance no pop up waste for whb told had no spares also thermostat button missing on shower on high but would of been too hot for a child or vulnerable adult. surprised to find the room we'd booked not in main hotel.

Wouldn’t recommend

I was made to pay for parking yet everyone else I was with didn’t. We were told our rooms were giving free upgrades but the rooms were definitely very run down. The overall experience was ok, drinks were very expensive. Check in was easy and straightforward. But I was told free parking but then was the only one made to pay

Recommend - Would stay again

Great value for money. Very helpful staff. Room was a good size. Breakfast was good value for money but rather slow - fine for us but not great if you are in a rush! Would stay again.

A place with a bed but expensive

Nice and fairly clean basic room but just loads of little niggles which can just annoy you. Room door didnt close properly due to a missing screw ( would of left the room open if we didnt realise) did rectify the issue immediately. Toilet roll holder fell off immediately. Bathroom door handle wonky. Hole in bedding. Also they were hoovering the reception at midnight which i thought was strange.
