I stayed here a few years ago and it was always ok, not great but ok.
Its now no more than a doss house, with drunks, drug taking and the usual scum.
It stank of weed, the room was appaling, the bed useless and the bathroom mouldy, smelly and a right excrement hole.

Im easily pleased but I csn assure you avoid this place.

Not the best to be honest. Pretty run down accommodation, with the look of a homeless hostel about it. Stains on the walls in the room, bathroom door would not stay closed and swung open exposing you to the world. loo constantly filled itself up and overflowed. Room was cold so I had to buy a heater.

Sign hanging off wall making noise in the wind all night. Trams right outside window making noise. No remote for tv. No spoons with coffee cups. Toilet door not shut. Don’t stay here terrible hotel.

Don't use

Poor conditions in room, 1 towel, 1 mug, bathroom door not able to close. 1 socket at floor level if needed to use - health & safety issue for burns. Curtains did not cover windows adequately so able to be seen from road.

Worst place and area not for bussines or family

The Hotel seems shut down I had to use the back door, the door room handle was broken, carpet really dirty. I saw the receptionist when arrived and then just a number to call in case of problem. Area is dangerous and no facility close at all!

Do not stay here.

I did not stay in this hotel because when I called the desk no one picked up, when I went there a few hours before check-in, the whole hotel was boarded up. There was no one there. I didn't want to be a single woman alone in an establishment. A man called around 8 pm to ask if I was coming and I said No.

The room was dirty, there were stains on the walls that could have easily been wiped clean. The bed clothes were stained and such bad quality they were scratching and itching. My mother actually checked for bed bugs twice because she was itching. The beds were uncomfortable and the room very hot and you could not open the windows because of the trams directly underneath. The bathroom had no extractor fan and it smelled damp.

There were holes in the walls that needed filling, the toilet roll holder I assume used to be on the wall but there was a hole there instead.

You couldn't have the kettle and the TV on at the same time and the kettle cable didn't even reach the plug.

If it hadn't been for the amount of money already spent we would have moved after the first night.

The only slightly positive comment I have is that the staff were lovely and friendly

Served Its Purpose

Stayed here as a couple. There was a big concert on in Manchester on this particular evening and everywhere was booked up. We were attending a function elsewhere and needed somewhere to lay our heads for the night. The reviews prior to arriving were pretty terrible and I was dreading it, but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Room a little tired but clean beds and ensuite which made it ideal for what we wanted. Gentleman on reception was really pleasant and helpful.

Nothing special but does the job.

Staying for business and exactly what I expected. Basic, but clean and functional. Was woken up on several occasions by other guests in the corridor, as well as the emergency services tending to someone who had taken something \"not so legal\". Pricey enough for what it was, but decent enough.

An excellent place to rest your head

I must say I thought the hotel had closed when I first arrived at the tram station. However, my fears were soon put at ease. I chose this hotel because it would provide me a reasonably priced place to sleep. The room ticked the boxes that I wanted; warm, comfortable and clean. This hotel is the perfect choice if you just want a place to rest your head for an evening.

For a place to stay and have a hot shower it was fine. They did seem to be airing the place constantly and the air freshener in the room was a little overpowering . Didn't stay in the room too long and accept that isaccomodation only it was fine.

Very tired and not clean

The hotel was ok for a brief overnight stay but - the walls and skirting board were really dirty, as was the carpet, The bathroom was very damp-smelling and the shower head was broken so very difficult to wash my hair easily - there was no hairdryer in the room as advertines. The room smelled faintly of cigarettes and the corridors didn't smell at all nice - damp and unaired. Not the hotel's fault but it's right next to a tramline and also the blinds in the room aren't great and don't block out light from street lamps so didn't get a good nights' sleep.
Disappointing as I've stayed in Trivelles hotels before which have been better.

Basic accommodation in Salford.

Daughter lives in Salford so we decided to stay close to where she is.
We would have been better off paying a little more and staying closer to Manchester city centre as that's where we spent most of the time.
Our tram fares would probably have covered the additional costs of staying closer to the city centre.

Conditions at Trivelles Hotel in reality is not as indicated on the internet;
- Rooms are not sound proof as mentioned
- Proximity to the main Eccles New Road makes it very noisy and disturbing from sounds of vehicles and trains.
- lack of structural safety from likelihood of a vehicle loosing control and diving into the building.

Not luxurious, but clean and sufficient.

I was in Manchester for a competition nearby.
I needed a bed for the night, and a shower in the morning.

I checked in at reception with a very friendly and helpful staff member. He offered a choice of rooms in different locations within the building, for my own convenience, and asked a little about a my competition.
My single room was quite small, with a Bed, bedside table, lamp, TV, towel, small rail for clothes to hang, tea-making facilities and bathroom with toilet & shower. The bed was sufficiently comfortable, the bathroom was clean although the shower floor had a crack and was letting water seep through on to the floor beneath.
It's basic, but pretty much every I needed was available. Sachets of shampoo and shower gel were provided, although a hair dryer wasn't provided (perhaps I could have collected one from reception - I didn't check).

If you get it cheap, it should be okay.

It was new year so maybe it's different other times, but I only saw one member of staff in two days at check-in.

No big gripes as it was quite cheap, but there's nothing much to recommend either.

Positives: warm, quiet and right next to a tram stop. Fridge and microwave in room.

Negatives: shabby, soulless and poorly maintained.

having stayed at this hotel many times I have seen a slow deterioration of the place, on 7/12/17 I went to place some fruit in the fridge only to find someone old cheese sandwiches and a mouldy McDonalds burger already in there !!.. there was also people smoking in the hotel which was obvious by the smell which was quite strong. The manager seemed little interested just sat on the sofa on his phone, he just say ' oh sorry about that ' ... I am not a snob by any means but I am very dissapointed...

My Stay at Travelles Hotal Salford

Small Basic and Clean Hotel, its does the Job. The Reception staff were friendly and helpfull I was happy with my room it had a TV, Free Wifi, Mini fringe and kettle. The Hotel has a carpark around the back. There is also a Tramline that goes along Eccles New Road. The Area is fairley industrial and I got Taxis everywhere. I would stay there again.

Tiny, dirty room, right next to tramlines so very noisy, paper thin walls, cracked bathroom sink, tiny single bed, dried blood(?) on the walls.

I know this site is supposed to be cheap but the hotels offered should be suitable for paying guests.

This place is like a halfway house for people who've just left prison!

Fine for an overnight stay

Needed accommodation in that area for just one night and this fitted the bill perfectly adequately. No frills but perfectly ok for my needs. Right by the tram stop with direct links to Media City and the centre of Manchester. Comfortable bed and a decent shower.

A cheap hotel that's good to get your head down for a night's sleep and that's it. The room was small, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was unacceptably dirty there was a large amount of mildew in the shower and there was a noticeable amount of dust around the sink area.

Ridiculous service.

Lazy staffs, most of time the reception is empty Because staff is busy on his personal phone. I don’t know what kind of hotel was that !? Bed sheets were not cleaned, I could see some marks. I asked the staffs several times to turn the heater on, I was still sleeping in cold most of the nights. when it’s on, the room became overheated, no matter how I adjust it. WiFi was not as good as the reviews said. The hotel is very close to weaste tram stop, but it can be noisy at night times. Overall very uncomfortable staying.

Wanted cheap and cheerful so although condition of carpet/walls wernt the best, the room was very clean and very good shower. Room too warm but i supose this couldnt be helped. Was everything we expected so overall pleased and would recomend to anyone wanted a cheap place to stay.

Very poor. Very disappointed.

Email received that said no need to call to confirm so assumed all was fine. On day we were running late due to work and travelling down from Newcastle. Poor weather. Got call off hotel saying what time i would arrive. I said I'd try to be there before 11pm. Man said OK. On way down son got hungry so stopped to get some food and called the hotel to let them know I'm on way. Man said he wouldn't be there as it would be after 11. I pleaded with him to stay untili arrived. Once we got there the room light didn't work. He replied he can give me a refund!!! At 11.30pm!!. I had to ask for another lamp for the room. Bed uncomfortable. Only one small towel given. Two pillows only. Very poor hotel.

Easy to find, and managed to find a space in the car park without any problems. Friendly receptionist on front desk, and reasonably swift check in. Room served its purpose as a last minute low cost place to sleep for the night, however the bed was actually quite uncomfortable. Woke in the morning to have a shower, but there were no towels in the room, and reception was closed, so wasn't able to request any. The hotel is fine if you are on a tight budget, however probably worth spending a bit extra if you want a little more attention to detail.

If you want to travel by foot to a restaurant. You have a journey ahead of you unless you take the metro. There is a metro line just out front. Was not bothered by it. I would stay again.

Perfect budget hotel!

I needed a hotel for one night after seeing The Courteeners at the Emirates cricket club, and this was the only hotel that wasn't offering extortionate prices. Saw the reviews and was a bit put off, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. Small comfortable room with en suite bathroom, ideal for one night stay. Close to the main road, but didn't notice the noise at all even with the window open. Staff were very helpful, and even brought me biscuits and a bottle of water after I checked in. It may appear to be out of the way, but Weaste tram stop is literally on the door step. If I needed a hotel again in the future, I would definitely recommend for one night. Just perfect. Oh, and it has a microwave and a fridge!

If you are travelling with car the location is good, free car park and close to the motorway junctions. There is also a metrolink stop nearby the hotel if you prefer to get the public transport to reach the city centre.

Top notch, friendly, tidy, you had your freedom with the key card to enter and leave as you wished whenever which was quite good considering we weren't arriving back until around 5am on the Sunday. Overall, great little hotel. Good price, if needed i would definitely book this again
