Reception were very rigid and wanted €20 for an early check in right up to the last minute despite only one there.

Shower was small, toilet did not flush well.

It was a nice hotel but there was a lift to travel up. This was extremely tight. Also the shower was so small my partner struggled to manoeuvre properly.
The room was nice but the photos made it look a lot bigger than what it was. The view was amazing though!

This is not a 4-star hotel. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work. It was like a sauna in there. I was advised to open the balcony door. I did this, it was noisy and let in flies, which bit us. Talking of the balcony - it opened out on to a power generator. Lovely.

The beds were rock solid and short. My feet hung off the edge (I am 6ft 1, so not excessively tall). The lights were weirdly wired and we couldn’t turn some off without using a strange power-cut switch that cut all power to the room including chargers and the tv.

Bring your own shampoo etc… there’s some gloop in dispensers in the bathroom that appears to be hand soap, shampoo, well… everything. The shower cubicle was wonky, the room and hotel in general is tired looking and in need of renovation.

There is no front desk after 11pm. When I checked in, they hung on to our passports. I asked when I would get them back: ‘10, minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour, don’t worry,’ was the response. The lift could barely fit me and a 12-year-old with rucksacks.

To top it all, we were locked out of our room when we needed to get our bags and head for the airport. The janitor had to come along and fix it.

The location is pretty good and I think the hotel relies on this for custom. I definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Upon arrival I was informed that they had a plumbing issue and would be moving me to another hotel 20 min away. This was 20 min in the opposite direction I needed to be. They did not offer transportation and told me to just walk back to the train station and buy another ticket to get to the other hotel. When I asked if they would provide a discount or transportation, they were suddenly able to give me a room. Once i accessed my room, i noticed that the air conditioning did not work. They told me it was turned off for the entire building. The street was too loud to leave the window open while sleeping. Considering AC was one of my requirements when booking, it was disappointing. There is no complementary coffee, water or toiletries. They had a hand soap dispenser in the shower with only hand soap. The staff was friendly. You could have the same experience at a hostel for a fraction of the price. I would not stay again.

The service and hotel is actually great, location is fantastic walkable to the major things you wanna see.

The only down side is that the lift is tiny (which they can't help) and the bed mattress is sagging (now this needs replacing) that I woke up with sore back.

Absolutely terrible, very surprised that Expedia rated this a four star. Expedia - please review this. Hotel was well placed, walkable to good interest points.
Staff very not helpful, they did not help with basic questions. Property is very dated. Room keys were a big issue, we were only given one room key per room despite booking 2 triple rooms. Were told that we had to manage the one key between occupants! Also tried to change us for another key to use! Asked for use of an umbrella, told they had one but it was broken! No English tv channels, but they insisted there were but then wouldn't help us. When we tried to contact them after our stay to discuss with management the issues we had, we were told to message their main inbox where messages are filtered! The list goes on unfortunately.

The hotel is near the atractiva that I w antes to see. The room was little, like most on Europe, but clean and had everything we needed. The employees were polite and helpful. The only thing is they need more, the ones that work at the front desk sometimes are the only ones there. A couple of times I arrived at night and there was no one at the front desk, probably the employee was attending other chores. But we had a great stay there.

This is not a four star by any means. no coffee in room, one elevator broken other is slow, AC and fan disabled and no small room fans, mosquitoes through open window so bring itch cream, breakfast was good, tv didn’t work well as it was pixelating, weak water pressure. Not unusual for European hotel but hotel ratings need to change.

The staff at Mokimba was excellent! David at the receptionist desk was outstanding! When our original transportation at 5am was cancelled a few hours before our departure, David took care of everything. He stayed beyond his shift end time of 11pm till 5am to ensure we would have a taxi at 5am to take us to the airport. I was shocked by his incredible service! I would stay at Mokimba again because of the excellent staff! The neighborhood was safe and was within walking distance for the metro and the Duomo.

The hotel description said it had air conditioning. The room was very stuffy with no air circulation at all. When I asked the front desk, he said heat had been turned off and they were not ready for the temperature to rise so early in the year and that the technician hadn’t yet come to turn on the AC! He told us to open the window! Our room was on the first floor overlooking a very busy and noisy street and we needed to close the window in the night to keep out the noise. I asked for a fan, and they didn’t have one either. Spent 3 uncomfortably hot nights in the room. Another issue is that one had to climb 5 steep steps to get to the elevator, which is so tiny. A lady in a wheelchair and a family with an infant, had to leave the wheelchair and stroller in the common area of the hotel lobby! Unacceptable! The hotel needs to specify that it is NOT handicap accessible! My 80 year old friend who walks with a cane found it hard to climb those 5 steps in the lobby before you could get to the elevator, besides having to lug the suitcase up there too! Overall very disappointing stay in King Mokinba hotel.

Our room was just as we had booked, couldn’t fault it at all, it was very spacious for 3 of us and we had a great street front view. Walking distance to the city centre (and the Duomo) and in a safe neighbourhood. Would stay there again!

Our room was perfect for a couple traveling for a short stay. The shower definitely is on the smaller end. Very easy access to/from train station. Google walk was able to get us to the hotel in a matter of 10 minutes walk. The location is also within 10 min to the duomo and shopping. We are at a really nice place called slow sud https://slow-sud.it/ristoranteasole/
Authentic Italian food for a great price.
Front staff will be available all day until 9-10pm. If you have to checkout early make sure you get it done day before. We were able to stop a taxi and as we were heading to the train station. The hotel was nice and very clean. If you need a larger shower you may need to inquire that before your stay. The hotel also offers taxi pick up from the airport at an extra charge of $30 euros.

We found the hotel easily and it was very well situated close to the city centre and Parco Sempione. The room was sufficiently big for three people and the bathroom nice and clean. The bed was, in my opinion, a bit hard and short. I'm not extremely tall 168 cm, but my feet reached outside of the end of the bed.

First - strange name. The people at the front desk during the day hours were very helpful and they helped us get a very early check in. Night time guy - don’t bother him. The moldings around many of the doors on our floor were coming off. The lighting system requires you to put your key card in a contraption at the door for the lights to work. The shower barely fits a person and it’s very noisy when you invariably hit the surround. Oh, no wash cloths. The walls are paper thin though generally the place was quiet overall. You cannot adjust the heat in the room. They set it for the whole property. It was very warm. The elevator could only house 2 people. And 2 pieces of luggage. None of this would keep me from staying there again though. Wi-Fi was good. Did not try breakfast so can’t say but there are a number of Cafe/bars within 1-2 minutes. It’s a 3 star European hotel. It meets those criteria. It’s fine.

Terrible customer service ! Terrible beds and they advertise as having parking but they don’t !! They refer a public parking lot, located 1km away that costs 3,50 Euros per hour! If it’s raining be prepared to get soaked. And if you have mobility issues check in advance how to get to the room , because they have an elevator that barely fit the luggages and there are a few stairs steps to reach it.

The area of the property was safe but of course even it says safe for solo female traveler, there was a male stranger standing outside of the hotel in the morning and said “Hello, beautiful” to me.
It’s not hotel’s fault but it of course made me uncomfortable.
It was a quite area so that makes me feel scary when a male stranger talked to me.

I find it hard to believe this hotel is a 4 star hotel. The rooms were small and relatively shabby. The air conditioning did not work, so the room was painfully warm (and it wasn't a particularly warm day in the city). We also had trouble getting consistent hot water in the shower. To top it off, there was a mosquito in the room.

I can't say the staff was much better either. The team refused to help us pre-book a cab (trying to instead get us to use the hotel's transfer at a much higher rate than a normal cab) and was generally unhelpful.

The rooms are very small. There are no amenities (kleenex shampoo) only a soap.
Shower is very unconfortable, door is 45 cms so an overweight person wont fit in. Smaller than a cruise.
The hotel is very chic and location is perfect. 3 blocks to Duomo. 4 blocks to train and subway. And a lot of dining options.

The property was in an ideal location for me with an easy walk and to central areas I was visiting on my trip. E.g Duomo and Teatro Alla Scala. A few things within the overall description are slightly incorrect. So the rooms are not soundproofed as described which meant there was significant noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridor. The property also advertises 24 hour reception - this was closed after 9pm and we were given an access key code for the door which to me isn’t a 24 hour reception. The property is advertised as being four stars but I think this is unlikely to be correct as the finish in the rooms was not high enough to justify this rating e.g. the wallpaper behind the tv stops abruptly and does not cover the full wall and the bathroom was very small. There was also a mini bar but no pricing list and it wasn’t made clear to me on arrival where the bar / restaurant was so I ate out every day of my stay. Overall the cleanliness was good in the bedroom but there was a few hairs in the bathroom on arrival.

Overall, the stay was more than satisfactory for my short visit to Milan but there were a lot of areas that I felt were misrepresented on the listing and could be improved.

This is NOT a four star hotel. Very poor value. Room was REALLY noisy (facing the front and I live on a main road in central London), breakfast was terrible (dried up and left out for too long, machine coffee which for Italy is sacrilege, surely?), most of the reception staff were pretty indifferent (one lady was quite helpful but she only seemed to be there for one morning, the young man at reception was indifferent at best and actually tried to overcharge me), bathroom was tiny - the size of the shower is almost a joke. Even though it was warm, they refused to turn the AC on so had to sleep with window open, which let mosquitoes in (and the overwhelming street noise). I would be ok with that normally but this 3-night stay cost me over EUR700. Better off staying at the NH or other 4 star chain hotel as quality is guaranteed and it would be the same price. The only thing about this hotel was the amazing location but to be fair, there are plenty more in the same area for the same price that are on back streets.

The balcony was a bonus, although it did get noisy at times with the trams that ran right underneath our room. Would definately stay here again.

Well, in general I would say that this is the one of the horrible hotels I even been!
Just be ready and get your iron with you, otherwise if you wish your stuff to be ironed call to reception early morning!! Because in afternoon they don't have iron anymore!
Thanks to the receptions which is was out of the duty and opened the door for us, otherwise nobody is replying so I afraid we could spent first night on the street if not him.
What's was good that the room was clean, and thanks for that.

The hotel is dated. Staff is rude. Charged 7 euros for small bottle of water (zero complimentary)
No coffee or tea in room.
Room was dirty (dead flies on floor)
AC is so weak it barely cools the room.

Never again and highly NOT recommended

Expedia tried to contact them for my concerns but they did not respond.

Overrun furniture, dusty rooms, hardly working AC, Old and scary lifts. I reached around 3:50 PM at the hotel and front entry door was locked. No staff around to request opening the door. There was a notice on the door that if door is locked, call on this number. Luckily someone came out of hotel and door opened automatically so I didn't had to stand in sweltering heat atleast. There was a notice on the door with a number to call in case staff is not around. I called the number and staff on phone told me where my room key was. Went to the room and AC wasn't working. Called staff again and they sent someone to fix it. The staff that came to fix just did some adjustments in temperature and fan speed and AC started working. I really wanted to forget about charges I had paid already and get some other hotel for the night but unfortunately, majority of the hotels were not available at that time and I had to stay only one night.
Having said this, staff was indeed courteous. Location is 10 minutes walk from Cadorna station and 10 minutes walk from Duomo

Air conditioning was broken during the whole staying and it was record hot in the city. Floor completely damaged and broken (and dangerous!)
Elevator to become claustrophobic for (no air, super slow).
The hotel is old, antiquated, with zero amanteties. Breakfast was poorly done (hard bread, rotten yogurt and machines containing juices were empty.
We told them about this and they didn't do anything nor we were given a discount on the final bill. Horrible.

The hotel was chosen for its proximity to the Teatro dal Verme. It was ideal for this. It provided a good clean place to stay. The rooms were a little on the small side and other facilities were basic. Access to Metro was a short walk which made getting around Milan very easy.

I arrived early after a long and tiring flight and they allowed me to check in much earlier which was impressive. Breakfast is nice with reasonable price. Though small as a hotel, but stylish in general.

The room is very small and our room was on the street side. We could not sleep all night because you could hear all the noise from the streets. The windows are very bed. The shower was not working properly. The pillow was so flat and shallow.

Good location - walking distance to shops/downtown and The Last Supper. Very friendly staff, although they held my passport until I left. I am not sure if this was an oversight or if they do this for guests, but since I paid in advance, had I not been so exhausted from flying for 2 days, I would not have let them hold my passport. I did not realize they had it until I left. Small room even for European standards - slightly musty odor; however, with the location and friendly staff, and since I was traveling alone, it worked well for me as I am not super particular.

When we returned to our room, we had no AC. They must-have known as the AC unit outside our room was partially disassembled.
