The room was nothing like the description. It was old, run down, and very basic.

The picture on the listing is very outdated and does not reflect the true room.
There are no heated floors as claimed in the listing.
The annex is two blocks away from the hotel, and is very old and in bad repair.
The annex has a secured entrance, which opens into a hallway with trash, broken light fixtures, and exposed wiring.
The apartment itself has a bad smell, like mold and cigarettes.
The beds have sheets and one thin blanket each, which is not sufficient.
There is one closet for the whole apartment, and it is mostly filled with a fold-away bed (which has no room in the apartment for the bed anyway).
The walls are stained and dirty. The paint is cracked.
The balcony is used to store cleaning supplies.
You have to unplug the fridge in order to plug in the microwave.
The neighborhood is very noisy at night with people yelling and traffic noise.

I'm fairness, the apartment does have some good qualities:
Namely, it has extra security on the front door.
The hot water was available immediately and was plentiful.

Very nice hotel close to the railway station and within walking distance of major attractions. The amenities were in good condition, and the room was clean. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but the menu looked extensive and the prices seemed reasonable.

The facility was in a terrible part of the city and our annex room was very old and in disrepair. The room smelled of smoke. The toilet leaked on the floor. The tub/shower was horrible - small, disrepair, difficult to get in/out.

Please is clean and safe. I wasn’t able to do check in until 3 pm. even when Expedia have a 2 pm check in. And we have to pay to storage the luggage because we got there early to check in. It does have a restaurant roof top and food is very good.

If you are traveling with kids, this is not the place for you. They moved us to an apartment building which looked like a haunted house 2 blocks away. There was no light in the hallway, no security. The fridge made a loud noise the entire night and the rooms were nothing close to the pictures advertised on Expedia. Stay away!

Excellent location, reight next to Subrail, Train, Bus and Taxi. Perfect for our various planned tours. Great staff, always on hand 24/7 - very helpful, clear systems checking in and very simple. Room cleaning service was outstanting, thank you.
We stayed in an apartment which was 2 blocks up from main hotel and included residential - lovely little apartment though our view in the mornings from our kitchen and balcony to the right where off the adjoining hotel roof which is redundant and used as a old rubbish store - not a nice view eaxh morning and if this was taken away would make a huge difference to our stay.

Loved the location for access to stores, cafe, restauarants and gym.

The staff were kind and went out of their way to be so helpful. I can’t even describe how above and beyond they went. The area isn’t terrible, albeit kind of out of the way from the main gardens and you might pass through some sketchy areas, but not the hotels fault for that and honestly, the staff make it worth it.

The room and hotel itself was nice. The location and noise were not. It’s on the corner of a busy and loud road, and because there’s only five floors you’ll most likely hear the cars at night unless you’re on the inside rooms.

I was originally on the first floor and literally couldn’t sleep and they kindly moved me to the third floor, although it was barely any better I appreciated the accommodation.

The hotel is in excellent location for the Meteora trip - 2 minutes walk. However, during hot weather it can be uncomfortable to spend first hour upon staying in the room. It might be typical in Greece to cut the AC while you are not in the room, but here it can be really hot if your room faces west. When we arrived, the temperature in the room was +39C (102F), +33C (92F) outside. The AC will start only when you lock the door from inside. It takes about an hour to bring it to 30c (85F). It will blow continuously all night and you’ll wake up to 25C (77F), which was fine. During cooler month it is a better option. The staff is nice.

Location is good as it is steps from Larissa train station. When we checked in, we realised there was no water supply to the building due to a water main break in the area. The water was not restored until late in the evening. Problem is the hotel didn't have its own water storage tank.

My personal property was thrown out and then it was suggested for me to search in the dumpster across the street on the left hand side.
The tv and air conditioner did not work during my stay.
Otherwise it was fine, the rooftop was pretty, the balcony was nice, the train was accessible.

Loved our stay here! We reserved the 2 bedroom apartment which is just up the block from reception. Perfect for our family. Small refrigerator, microwave, table, glassware, plates, utensils, kitchenette, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, nice sitting area, great hot shower. Hotel wifi works there too. The recommended hotel restaurant was a perfect spot to wind down and enjoy the sunset. Right across from Larissa station so super convenient. Free luggage storage while we toured the Acropolis before checking in. Nice grocery store nearby. Highly recommend the Ariston Hotel.

Great place for family of 5 or even 6 to stay at that doesn’t break the bank and is close to metro. It’s hard to find one room accommodations in Europe for larger families, so this was a good solution. It is a suite, separate from hotel but it’s quiet and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dodgy but the shower is strong and the hot water is hot! There are A/C units in the two bedrooms, so we had to leave doors open at night to ensure everyone got some air throughout the apartment.

Close to Larissa Train Station which was perfect after visiting Meteora for a two day excursion and returning around 22:00, tired, ready for a shower and sleep. Check in was quick and friendly. Beds are pretty hard, but I was so tired it didn’t matter.

We landed at 3 am and went to the hotel. My kids and I were checked in that early without extra money and no fuss💕.The manager is a lovely person. There is a restaurant in the hotel with reasonable prices. Larissa station and a supermarket a few meters away. Many amenities around. Excellent place to stay. I will be back this week.

Needed a hotel within close proximity of the main railway station. This hotel was perfect, just a few minutes walk from the station. The main area of Athens is probably a 20 minute walk away to the main bars and restaurants, but this isn't an issue, and for the price this hotel was ideally priced and located.

It was very nice that they included breakfast at no charge. Room did not get cleaned because you need to turn key in. They did not inform us of that. Way to much money. We stayed an extra day but changed hotels. I would not stay again. The oscar is much better and a bestwestern is close by. Street noise is bad. Breakfast was skimpy.

Terrible, it was dirty, insects crawling around, curtains never moved or washed, cob webs and dust. expensive for what it is, this is def not 3 stars, but more like a hostel. The area was lower end and scary at night.. if you just want a room to sleep, it’s fine, not when you take a kids like we did. photos look great compared to condition of room.
I also think there may have been illegal activity such as prostitution happening on the top floor... so bad...
On the other hand, staff was awesome and food was home made and wonderful.

The hotel staff and the owner are super friendly. I took a taxi from airport to the hotel, and due to some unexpected charges, I was short on cash, the taxi couldn't paid by card. so I was baffled and the driver wasn't very polite. but at this time, the owner of the hotel stand out, asked the driver to calm down and let the hotel paid to driver first and then have the payment back from me. The owner was super friendly, I enjoyed the conversations with him in the hotel lobby and thanks to the local tips. I would recommend this hotel 100% to anyone. In my opionion, When you are in a foreign country, a friendly hotel staff weigh much more importance than hotel room itself. Close to central train station, nice location not far from acropolis.

Th room we were booked into was way too small for triple and the street noise was so loud from the second floor. The hotel staff did move us into an apartment in an adjacent building and attempted to be very accommodating. But the apartment was not what I would have wanted to stay in more than one night. Is was on the ground floor and felt very cold and damp. The beds were very low to the floor and uncomfortable, and the bedspreads were warn. We found termites in the bathroom along the wood floor baseboards. I would not stay here again.

Great choice for shady neighborhood

The staff is very friendly and does their best to help you in any way possible. The location is great if you plan on taking the metro to and from the city center but not so much if you are walking to it. The center is not far, but the neighborhood between the hotel and the city center in general is quite shady, not advisable to walk alone after dark. Breakfast is reasonable, not outstanding but all the basics are covered.

I stayed here purely for the proximity to the station. The room was good enough for the purpose of a pit stop after a long flight. If your expecting 5 star luxury I suggest you pay 5 star prices and go elsewhere.
I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, despite other reviews. I believe bad staff reviews come from people who don’t know Greek culture and customer service, Greeks don’t kiss your feet upon arrival.

To conclude, good value, good location next to Athens central station (larissis), friendly and helpful staff.
I would stay here again.

The staff are welcoming and obliging. All the basic amenities are provided. Breakfast is reasonable enough. Rooms could be cleaner. Maintenance generally seems to be lagging behind the optimum. Not a good neighbourhood after dark. Beware the man offering to give directions in the subway station nearby. He will direct you to some awkward stairs so that he and another can pick your pockets. We chose the hotel so we could walk to the station for our train to Thessaloniki. It is a short and simple walk. I would not choose this hotel if I needed to stay more than 1 night. I would prefer to pay a little more and go a little upmarket. No complaints. This hotel delivers everything that it offers.

Friendly staff, however listen to all the advice and decide yourself. Good room service. Has balconies and close metro and train stations. About 10 minutes in the metro to key tourist sites. There is a good coffee shop about 5 minutes walk and convenience store are about the same distance. A local or flea market is set up in the morning which is again a 5 minutes walk.

Can be a little noisy as it is situated on a main road.

Stay well clear, do not waste your money!!!!

Upon arrival we were met with a cold reception and I am not talking about the weather. The reception staff were completely unaware of their unprofessionalism and to add insult to injury the owner of the hotel had the same rude mannerism. The room was small and the bedding was really bad to the point of where I was actually contemplating purchasing a small rug of my own. Please please do not waste your money.

Hotel walking distance to metro/bus stations

The hotel is currently under renovations. The whole front is covered in scaffolding. The elevator was broken when we arrived. The person who assisted with our check in chastised me for arriving early. We arrived at 11:30am and check in was to be at 12:00pm.

The hotel is near a supermarket and great bakeries and eateries. It is near metro/bus stations, but there are so many different lines, I would assume most places in city center would be near stations.

As a tourist, I did not like that there was no \"front desk\" personnel to ask for directions, recommendations, etc. We were told to just leave our keys on the dining room table when we \"check out\".

I did see a cockroach when we entered the building, but did not spot any in our \"apartment\". (That may just be wishful thinking.)

This hotel is right by the Central rail station and the underground Larissas, so it is a very suitable place to stay for that purpose. Staff were great and we enjoyed the amenities in the room, e.g., Wifi, coffee machine in room, etc.
