Terrible customer service and very unclean

I was looking for a cheap place in a great location, and I wish I had read the reviews better. From the start, the contact person to help with self check-in was SO RUDE! I asked to get instructions on how to get into the property and I got a short response as I was waiting outside, just trying to get into the room. I called back again and she said that the info had actually not been sent, but she would send it then. Once inside, the area itself looked similar to the pictures. It has a lot of space. But… It’s very old and dirty. The first night in the bed was disgusting and I had welts. I don’t know if they were bed bugs or what, but very red and itchy. I stayed on the couch after that. After the terrible customer service and then the bites and lack of cleanliness, I cannot recommend this place. It needs a thorough deep clean to be considered safe for guests.

Good location, but flash of bathroom was not working. They mentioned that they provide schuttle service for Milan MXP Airport, but when we requested they rudely refused any help in this regard. Breakfast was not provided despite commitment.

Dirty and uncomfortable!

Horrible experience. Beds were horribly uncomfortable and the couch was filthy. I wouldn’t let anyone sit on it let alone sleep there without a sheet or cover. Couch was most definitely NOT a pull out bed as advertised and I got the room that was for enemies it seemed. Room C! If you get assigned that room, cut your losses and find another place!! If I had arrived earlier I definitely would have.

Fantastic location within 5 minutes of the Duomo and 3 minutes from the Missouri station.

Property itself is very old, not well lit inside, the hot water is not really hot, the toilet flush doesn't work well, the TV doesn't work

not even hot water, no water pressure, mosquitoes everywhere, sink leaks, freezing, no proper bed sheets, the whole place creeks like it’s gonna fall apart, dust and paint particles everywhere, really looks like super old and run down. Heating did not work and waa freezing. Internet not working. Terrible experience and nobody to speak to. Online messages ignored.

Brilliant place

The apartment was amazing, very clean and quiet, with towels, kettle, glassed and the wine opener:) the lift was also available, and it is very close to the cathedral and loads of local shops. Karim provided exceptional customer service, we will book it again when in Milan. Well recommended, thank you!

Bed bugs, a door that doesn’t close, a glass door with a light that doesn’t turn off behind it, noisy people in the other apartment all day and all night, no privacy, windows that don’t close even, rains inside, no hot water, no water pressure. Maybe don’t consider that place an apartment.

Customer support was awful and aggressive and I payed 30 euros extra just to come 3 hours early.
Room was cold and informed them in advance that that it is cold but nothing changed and I felt cold and sick now.
I have never seen such a service and room. Not clean towels.

Check-in went well. The shower was not clean and there was sewage smell that come out of from the bathroom, so we had to make sure to leave the toilet top closed and the bathroom door closed at all times. Also, the stairs and the elevator leading to our room smelled like urine. The light in our room, next to the door entrance, would also randomly turn on and off during the night. During the last two days of our stay, the wi-fi didn't work, which was important for us since we were working remotely. Administration called the network to resolve the issue, but couldn't get it resolved before we left. I understand that the people at the front desk can't resolve all of these issues, but the accommodation administration still needs to do major work. The only upside was that it was very close to all of the major attractions.

Terrible, mould smell, no AC. When I got there it looked like a courtyard from a horror film. I was given the room, which had no AC, inside was very humid and couldn't breath because of the mould smell. At night, I had to leave the windows open so I could get some air coming in but I did not close an eye all night, because of the noise. The second night I was offered another apartment, which had a very aged AC which made a terrible loud noise and of course I couldn't sleep at all. The mould smell was present there too and got bitten by mosquitos. Overall, the stay was terrible.

litte place right in town...

The flat was good! Just the outside was a bit confusing and no sings, toke me a good 30 minutes to find and open they door. I guess, the receptionist could had take me to my apartment but she was more interested in leave as I back there with 5 minutes and she was gone...
in side of the flat was functional and clean.

This was a wonderful stay. It felt homely and the staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful. It was situated right in the city centre, close to some of the best food spots in town. I would highly recommend staying here.

Highly recommended, great value for money

My friend and I stayed for 2 nights in 2019. The location is fantastic; close to all Milan has to offer. The receptionist was kind and helpful and the cleanliness of the room and shared bathrooms was a pleasant surprise. All in all, far more than what we were expecting. Very good value and recommended as a comfortable base in the heart of the city.

This is completely false advertising. The rooms are tiny bare bone hostel rooms, nothing like the picture advertised by the hotel. Nothing. The shared bathroom is nicer than the actual room, which has a door that doesn’t close unless you lock it. The room is super loud and you can hear everything and there is nothing nice about this place and please don’t be fooled by the fancy FAKE pictures.

Great location and good value for money

The location of the hotel is hidden in a side street and quite hard to find, although when you know where it is, you’ll see is very close to the Main Street. This hotel is within 2 minutes walk of the cathedral and giant shopping centre. The staff were very pleasant and spoke very good English. The room was tiny, by tiny I mean literally just a bed in a room which is almost touching the walls, but if you’re like me and not actually in your room much except for when you’re sleeping then this is fine. The price of 50 pounds / 57ish euro was I thought a little steep compared to other hotels I’ve been to in Italy especially considering we were using a shared bathroom, however everything was maintained well and overall had a good experience.

I don't see why people are writing negative reviews forthis hotel - if you are doing a short city trip then this hotel is excellent. Sure windows are single glazed and there's some noise but it is not that bad really.. Very commutable and close to main sights. Clean facilities and friendly staff - they recommend a lot of good places to visit and restuarants to go to. The bathroom facilities is as good as a 5* hotel, very clean and modern. I'd certainly go back here if I revisit Milan. Have fun and a safe trip.

Quirky Hotel, but nice enough. Checkin stinks!!!

We only stayed a night so it was fine. The check in experience was horrible waited an hour for 5 other groups checking in before us and some were trying to push their way in front of us who came afterward. It's one person who has to check in and show people to their rooms. It takes too much time and he needs help. The room was clean enough, but could have used more bedding and better air condition in the summer. Otherwise the quirky courtyard and entrance was nice.

Great location overall. However, the apartment is a bit run down and the locks are flimsy as well. We opted for the shared bathroom and the door couldn't be locked. Safety would be the utmost concern.

Booked what was advertised as a \"luxury\" apartment to arrive and be told the luxury room was already taken and ended up with a rundown looking apartment with the most hideous bathroom I've ever seen , dirty shower, chipped paint work, damp on the walls and yellowing curtains. Great experience at ApArt

I was only in Milan for one afternoon/evening before an early morning flight. It took 10+ minutes to find this place once I arrived on the street, as the sign and address number weren't very conspicuous. I knocked on the huge green door, and someone opened up a smaller door within the door. I was greeted warmly, checked in, and was even helped up the stairs with my heavy suitcase. Room is small but totally sufficient. Bathroom is shared, but was modern and functional. Some of the lights are motion sensor, which was a little confusing, flipping switches and nothing happening. (The bathroom light did shut off mid-shower, but not a big deal.)
The front desk guy also gave me good info on how to get to Linate airport. I ended up walking the few blocks from hotel to Piazza del Duomo to the taxi queue. Even at 5:00 AM there was a taxi waiting there. It's only 15-20 drive to airport, and taxi cost 28 or 30 Euros.

This is more of an \"Air B&B\" set up. The guys manning the \"office\" were friendly, and one brought my bags up to the room. There was no real singe, and had I not stopped at the change store on the square to ask for directions, I would have been lost and particularly skeptical of the environment I was going into. It happened to be barely palatable for me, because the price was right for a quick overnight, where I was just looking for a bed to sleep in and a shower to clean up in, before catching a plane back to the US. Think shared college dorm. I would never book multiple nights there, o r frankly go back, when for ten more dollars, I could have stayed in a legitimate hotel room. If I were 18 years old, back packing around Europe with a friend, it might not have been of issue. The place was advertised as if they can somehow get $350 a night during high season. If they can, then pigs can fly too! it was as clean as it could be, under the circumstances, and I won't begrudge the innkeepers for what they have, but I won't be that cheap again. Photos on line looked much better than what it was!

Hard to find, weird.

We arrived from the train station and walked to the hotel's address but found no info to tell us that it was the right place...no hotel name. We booked a while ago and it was called Tranquilo B&B....none of this name was evident and we hadn't been informed. Fortunately a passing local took pity on us and told us the small step through door in a large door was a hotel entrance and which button to press to get reception.
Reception was two people on jerry rigged computers. Fortunately the booking was right. The lift barely fitted 2 people and the room was tiny for our family of 4 with the double bed in the loft next to a closet that was the bathroom. It might have been trendy once, but books tossed carelessly on shelves around the apartment just added to the uncared for feel of the place.

One of the worst night stay.

I arrived 9pm at night with my family which I have 3 kids include 6 year old son. There was no one in the place and I have to ask help someone to call the person since my phone did not work in Italy even I sat up my phone available in Italy. After running around asked for help I've got touch with the person taking care of the hotel. He said keys are in the kitchen, however there was no keys available. And no WiFi log in information. So I could not contact with the responsible person. We could not go out as a all family together because there was no keys. Even I put my side problem aside. It was one of the worst night stay at place. In the future, I hope no one will have this king of issue.

ApArt Hotel Lupetta 5 Review

The room turned out to be not what we expected, i.e. sharing of the bathroom and toilet was not as we understood from the description of the hotel facilities from website. We thought it was one entrance apartment with 3 bedrooms sharing one bathroom and toilet inside, but it is 3 separate bedrooms sharing an outside bathroom and toilet. At night my wife and boy were afraid to leave the room to go to an outside bathroom and toilet. And condition of the rooms were not up to a standard we used too at that price for that matter. One of the guest locked the toilet and bathroom from inside and could not get access to the facility in the morning to shower and use toilet.

But the hotel reception desk and service staff was very friendly and very helpful with any information we asked for.

Just to have a place to drop your stuff

As there are a lot of people coming from different parts of the world (with different biological clocks) there's always someone awake, plus the wooden floor creaks. Thus the rooms are very noisy.
One day even we had a sort of expedition running through the rooms.

Not a Hotel or B+B!

This is NOT a Hotel! It is apartments.
When we arrived we had to wait for a person to check us in only at 1500.
It is called a Bed and Breakfast.........no Breakfast was provided!
The apartment my family and I had, did not look like the picture so it was very misleading.
When we checked in there was a huge search for our booking.
I will not recommend this \"hotel\" to anyone!
The only good thing about it was the location........400metres from the Duomo.

-check in da remoto, ma ci abbiamo messo più di mezzora per accedere alla stanza
-le luci dell'appartamento non funzionanti
le spine, gli interruttori e le prese tutte rotte
-riscaldamento non funzionante
-lenzuola bucate
-la finestrella del bagno affaccia sul pianerottolo interno di fronte all'ascensore
sporcizia ovunque, polvere e capelli in ogni dove
-la seconda mattina uno dei collaboratori ha provato a entrare a forza nell'alloggio bloccandomi la porta con il piede
-il mio compagno ha contratto la congiuntivite da contatto
le travi sopra il letto perdevano pezzi sulle coperte
-in più punti c'erano degli approssimativi \"rattoppi\" di buchi sul muro fatti con pezzi di carta di giornale
-la finestra della zona giorno che affaccia sulle finestre di altri appartamenti senza scuri, tende o persiane
-la finestra della cucina con la tenda attaccata col nastro adesivo
-pagato la tassa di soggiorno in contanti si sono rifiutati di rilasciarci la ricevuta

Da non andarci !!!!! E non consigliatelo!!!

Ho affittato un monolocale con un letto matrimoniale, 2 divani letto e cucina, proprio per stare comodo e lavorare. Il letto matrimoniale era meno di un letto alla francese messo in un sottotetto. Le foto sono misleading . Il riscaldamento era rotto ( in camera erano 15 gradi ) nessuno e’ mai venuto a controllare ( anche perche’ non c era mai nessuno alla reception e non rispondevano al contatto telefonico) . Non mi hanno nemmeno cambiato camera, per cui ho lasciato la struttura con un giorno in anticipo. Ho chiesto un refound almeno per la notte non usufruita visto il disagio e si sono rifiutati !

Die Unterkunft entspricht überhaupt nicht den Fotos. Auf der Matratze war ein riesiger Urinfleck, überall waren Haare & das Badezimmer war voller Schimmel. Personal nahm unser Anliegen überhaupt nicht ernst.

Desastrosa atención

Por la relación calidad precio no estaba tan mal. El problema fue que la habitación no tenía el control ni de la tv ni del aire y hacía un calor infernal en el último piso del edificio. Un ascensor donde si entran dos no entran maletas. Y el recepcionista fue incapaz de buscar soluciones. Ni lo intento siquiera. Fue lo peor. Al decirle que no habían controles pregunto si quería que llamáramos a la policía. Absurdo

There was a water leakage in the bathroom on the upper floor and therefore the whole lower floor of the apartment was dripping wet! To us this seems like a known problem since before we already saw some stains on the wall and ceiling, in the night we knew why. No acceptable refund was offered and we are really dissatisfied, it was a horrible experience! Customer Service is horrendous, they did not take on any responsibility for this mess...

Dalle foto sembra un bellissimo attico , peccato che il posto sia stato molto trascurato, la porta di ingresso si apre con una manata, la scala esterna stretta e maleodorante, ogni gradino puzza di pipì, un montacarichi per ascensore, dentro questo mini appartamento divani macchiati e impolverati, scala interna traballante , condizionatore rotto, la camera da letto piccolissima dentro spine della corrente scoperte,con finestra ed una porta che da sulla scala esterna , sicurezza per 2 ragazze zero. Bagno sporco. Abbiamo abbandonato l’alloggio dopo 10 minuti.

Hebergement pas comme sur les photos ! Le lit était cassé, la porte des toilette cassée dont elle ne se fermait pas . Chauffage qui ne fonctionnait pas et la météo n’était pas bonne donc on a eu froid la nuit . Immeuble très vieux condition d’hébergement zéro ! Cet hébergement ne devrait pas être proposer aux gens ! On entend tous le bruit de l’extérieur et les gens parler donc pour le repos la nuit c’est vraiment pas top ! Bref je déconseille
