We really wanted to like this place as we’re looking for regular cheap accommodation for diving weekends. It’s pet friendly and right opposite the beach, reviews were ok. Price was very cheap for 2 nights. Room looked basic but fine when we checked in. However we abandoned the room after a few hours at 3am due to bedbugs eating us alive. We checked into another hotel, deep cleaned ourselves and put out contaminated clothes into a bag. We will not be staying again.

Cool place to stay, but run down and in need of some care. A lot of people seemingly work there but a lot of rubbish lying around, rooms in need of upkeep and a general sense of neglect.

Breakfast was good, we ate one evening meal there and it was the worst we had in our 12 days in Jordan.

The dive shop on site was friendly and helpful, people who worked in the place were friendly (the one woman working seemed to do 10 x as much as any of the men).

South beach was good for a couple of days - the reef offshore is accessible for kids and protected from the glass bottomed boats by being in a roped off area.

We live in Aqaba and we always check in to a hotel just so the kids can enjoy a swimming pool . We tried many hotels in Aqaba and for the price we recommend this hotel for locals or tourists . Mr Ali at the reception is the best . Thank you .

🙂 de kleurrijke accommodatie stemt vrolijk, genoeg plekken om te relaxen, ligging bij het strand met snorkelmogelijkheden
☹️ Omdat het hotel overboekt was hebben wij in een hotel aan de overkant geslapen. Kamer was niet erg schoon, ‘s ochtends geen water in toilet, airco werkte niet. Alleen WiFi bij receptie.
Wij hadden de pech dat het erg waaide toen wij er waren, waardoor het ‘s avonds koud was. Het Bedouin Garden Hotel is daar -enigszins begrijpelijk- niet op ingericht.
Service van medewerkers was matig.

Malik at desk was awesome. All staff nice. Hot water for shower. Would have been a nice enough place to stay except very loud group of people partying, singing, drunk, loud music til after midnight. One day they started at 5pm and were still at it at 1am. Did not get much sleep for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. It is my understanding this happens frequently. We were glad to leave.

Rustic Bedouin experience near the beach

We've stayed here about 10 times and don't even bother looking for other options. It has all the basics at a reasonable price. Pet friendly the 2 times we took our dogs. Nice dive center that is great for kids 10 and older. 10 minute drive to town for more flexible dining options.

I’d rather sleep on the street

Location was the only think this hotel had as a positive. Lobby was dirty, at 5pm local time our room had been given away and they offer us blankets to sleep in the lobby if we paid 60% of the room cost, the WiFi was not available and the place had a bad odor. The parking was limited which could be associated with their overbook but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I wanted to keep an association with.

I booked two rooms the first room had a non-working T.V and a very bad smell from the bathroom they changed it for me to another room that had a bathroom with a blocked toilet but without smell!
Water pressure is very weak you can't enjoy a shower.
Breakfast bufeat is boiled eggs, tommatos and humos!!!!.
Furniture is very old and needs to be changed

No-go | Chauvinistic, overbearing, invasive staff

My girlfriend and I where dismissed and denied our room booked through Expedia by inappropriately acting, intrusive and intimidating check-in staff because we would not provide a marriage certificate. The guy slouching on the office chair at the check-in did not care at all about us for the first 10 minutes. When he finally rolled over he put on a disgusting smirk and looked up and down first my girlfriend then me. With a tone, half condescending half flirty, he then asked my girlfriend why she was not wearing a wedding ring. The note that his behavior and gesture was unappropriated was plainly ignored. Instead he further tried to inflict his mid-eval societal views on us and lectured that he does not approve having non-married guests and asked smugly if we could provide our family book (seriously?). We told him to get his manager, which he did after we got the attention of the other guests around. The manager tried to calm things down, excused and provided a hasty explanation: non-married guest cannot share rooms according to law. This however was neither mention in the terms and condition when we booked on Expedia nor could he provide proof. We felt mistreated, humiliated and let down and declined the offer to take two separate rooms (and pay for it). We left on the spot and went to an expensive 5 star hotel (def. worth it). I urgently advice to not visit Bedouin Garden Village. Absolute no-go.

Rooms not available despite booking...

We booked 2 rooms to accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids.
After arriving on site, we were informed that the rooms were not available despite our reservation.... After lengthy and useless negotiations, we had no other choice than finding another hotel on the spot by ourselves. This was during the Hegira week-end, meaning all hotels were full. It was just a nightmare. Very unprofessional service. Swimming pool is very very small and dirty.

Great value and fun near Aqaba, Jordan

This turned out to be a great option for my family. We were able to easily fit 3 kids and 2 adults in the room and were pleasantly surprised by air-conditioning, a refrigerator and a TV in the room. We had expected a more rustic experience. A few family members took advantage of the on-site diving amenities and we collected some great memories from this visit.

Abu Kareem (aka Ahmad) the restaurant guy made us feel like royalty. The room service guy Muhammed was also super friendly and respectful. All the other staff were also pretty cool. I wish I could say the same for the visitors, some were really nice but there were several douchebags--not much you can do about that I guess. Let me suggest to the douchebags reading this review: go to Dubai. Here are some examples of what douchebags do: complain about eating hummus when you're in Jordan, and bring your own pomegranate to breakfast, bring your own bread to a restaurant, complain about sand in your room or bathroom when you're staying next to a beach, complain about hearing the Azaan when you're in a Muslim country, walk around like the world revolves around you, speak your non Arab language to everyone without even trying to say a word of Arabic when you're in Jordan (since the world obviously revolves around you), glare at kids, not take a shower for several days, etc. Anyway, keep up the great work Jamal and company and God save us from the douchebags!

Beware of what you're getting for the price.

The hotel is definitely for budget backpackers and very weathered compared to the pictures. The toilet and sink in our room kept leaking water and therefore had a sewage smell. The shower had terrible water pressure and you couldn't use the hose due to the poor pressure. We had to squat in the shower and use the faucet. The beds weren't nice and the room was fairly large. Where our room was located, it was extremely windy and our door kept rattling. We had to use a bungee cord to keep it from constantly banging from the wind. The terrace area was nice for wifi, although the wifi was very slow at times. The breakfast was ok. There is a public beach across the street but the beach isn't well taken care of. There are trash and bones (from food) everywhere. We visited in November and the wind made it hard to enjoy.

I slept until 11:30 AM and missed the breakfast.
Receptionist offer me to join the staff as they prepare their breakfast 5 minutes later one of his staff is calling me to join him with breakfast. That was very nice of them
Check out at noon you can stay later as long as you want you can leave your luggage by the reception and use the facilities all day after check out

The resort is very basic. Absolutely not three stars. But the location, the pool, the place itself is very nice. The breakfast is very very poor. My advice is that if you want to stay here, you should have a car so that you can go to Aqaba to have your meals and shop. If you don't , it's better to book a hotel in the town. One more thing is the price, this place is very cheap and over all you get more than you pay

Well, to start off with the good things, this place has got extraordinary and helpful staff and a location to die for.
Secondly, it looks very good at night.
However, in daylight, you can see that it is not that well kept - it's dusty and the overall feeling is that the owner did not pay much attention to details. It's truly a shame, because this place could really be one of the best in southern Jordan!

Very poor customer service. Arrived there and nobody at reception. When I did finnaly track down the manager to check in he demanded up front payment. He didn't have a clue about my hotels.com reservation! The only hotel I stayed at for 3 weeks in Jordan that wanted up front payment. It seemed that others staying at the hotel also had this trouble as there always seemed to be someone lingering around reception waiting to be helped...

Only after about 2pm was there a younger more helpful staff member working at the desk.
When booking a taxi to the Israeli border through reception the price was ridiculously high. Still had to pay it of course as I was foolish enough to not ask what it was prior to getting into the the taxi. 25JD! It costed the same for a taxi from Wadi Rum for me! When booking a taxi, do it on your own accord as this hotel takes a commission.

If I had to do it again I'd stay in one of the other hotel/dive centre accommodations in the area. People seemed happy coming out of Darna hotel! Just saying.

Affordable; okay for short stay

The hotel was fine for just two nights. There is really nothing to do here other than snorkel or scuba dive or take the touristic glass-bottom boat tour and even if you don't want to dive, the diving center attached to the hotel will pressure you into trying it. I stood firm, however! The dive center did hook me up with parasailing at a nearby beach club which was really fun with more hospitable surroundings. Otherwise condition of hotel is as stated in other reviews - needs more cleaning up of the sand, but again it was fine for such a short stay. Not much food options either.

More of a Hostel than a Hotel

If you're looking for a hostel with a traditional, rustic feel, this is a great spot. The location is great for beach access, although the hotel was difficult to find, since directions are unavailable on Google Maps or Apple Maps. The receptionists were helpful, especially the night receptionist. My friend became very ill during the night, and he helped me locate a 24-hour pharmacy and checked on my friend while I was at the pharmacy. He even offered her herbal tea to soothe her stomach. No one cleaned our room during the whole 3-night stay, and we found a used diaper under the bed. The air conditioning worked but escaping the heat was difficult since the only \"indoor\" area was our room, which opened to the outside. We didn't use the pool facilities, although the hotel staff kept it clean. \"Continental breakfast\" meant plain egg omelet with fried bread, and a triangle of spreadable cheese and a tub of jelly with pita bread. Not bad, but not what I would consider \"continental.\" As single women it would have been a bit disconcerting if we hadn't been previously aware of the culture. At night the only people hanging out around the hotel are guests and middle-aged and young Jordanian men who are either staff or are friends of the staff. Most are respectful but some you don't want to deal with. Parking spaces are limited inside the gate, so if you're wary of parking outside on the road behind the hotel you'll want to make sure to grab a spot before they're taken.

The staff was great. Nice restaurant and a very nice complimentary breakfast. We loved being out of the hustle and bustle and near the sea. Did the scuba diving and they recommended the Bedouin desert tour with the camel ride and dinner. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

Budget hotel with benefits

We spent a couple of happy nights at the Bedouin Garden Village. Comfy room, great price, a nice surprise at breakfast with a simple omelette to go with the normal fixings, and a good dive shop operation on site. The rooms are simple but comfortable - definitely good value. It is a short trip by car south of Aqaba proper, so it is best to have your own vehicle if you go.

I visited this hotel after the R2D cycle race with a group of ten. The rooms were clean, nice, well equipped, and the location was perfect for a morning swim at the beach. The hotel staff were friendly, accommodating and we had a great stay.

The hotel had steps that where uneven and did not have railings. The hotel covers many of it's public areas with Ivy and they let the roots hang down into the sitting areas and walkways it is like walking through a jungle. Our little ones enjoyed the pools, they are small but good for getting wet. They had parking for 6 but they park one of their trucks in their parking area full time so it is more like parking for 5 we noticed about 6 cars parked out on the street most mornings. For breakfast they served a fried egg with a few tomato slices, and some cucumbers slices with some humas, jelly, and bread.

We stayed here for just one night as a stop over in Aqaba before heading to Petra - it was fine for one night and the staff were very friendly, but both the kitchen service and the wifi were very slow. We felt safe and comfortable and our room was clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay.

The room was small and tight. This is a great place to stay if you want a \"no frills\" room. Perfect for divers who just want a place to rinse their gear and sleep at night. The bed was very hard. There was no soap or towels in the room. These were available but had to be requested. In my opinion, the actual room and breakfast IS NOT the same as seen on the website. The rate (price) for what we received was okay.

my adult children adored this place

Nice staff, wonderful sitting areas beduin style, good feel. Dogs barking and fighting at night outside. Young guests leaving food in the open overnight, inviting all kinds of animals. Some smell from toilets. Enjoyed this place with adult children.

Really relaxed feel and so close to the beach where you can snorkel just a few meters from the sand! Amazing. Staff really helpful and friendly. Can rent snorkel gear from hotel. Good Bedouin style areas to relax and chat with other guests and swap stories of travel and tips.

Brilliant for divers and low budget travellers

The hotel is ideally located near one of the main diving sites in Aqaba but this means that you will be 12km south of the town centre. Although the hotel is very close to the beach, you have to cross a dual carriage way.The hotel has several areas to relax with free wifi which is a bonus. the best place inour opinion is the roof terrace which unfortunately is often overlooked by a lot of guests.The service at the hotel is poor and often very slow. Prepare yourself for a long wait when ordering food or drinks and avoid placing orders during the staff's own meal times....Cleanliness is certainly not a forte of the management which appears to lack any female member of staff.

Nice place for snorkeling or the beach

There are several of these little hotels all squished together in one area right across from the public beach on the South Coast. My friend and I stayed here and had a wonderful time, but we spent little time in the room or hotel. Check in went well, there were no extra \"hidden\" fees, just the cost advertised and the guy behind the desk was friendly. We were able to rent snorkel gear easily and head to the beach. We ate in town (I recommend having your own car or being ready to shell out for taxi). The hotel grounds were very attractive with lots of greenery and shady places to sit. The pool was very small. The room was okay, the beds and bedding were fine, the AC worked great, but the bathroom was kind of crazy with a nearly-broken toilet (took FOREVER to fill the water tank). I wouldn't want to stay very long but for one night and an afternoon of snorkeling it was perfect.

An excellent place to stay

The hotel was excellent. The space in the hotel was imaginatively used, with lots of nooks and crannies to relax in as well as roof top spaces to enjoy the sunset. It was literally across the road from the beach, which was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool area was also clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and provided a good service. The diving instructor (Veronica) was excellent. The hotel manager was very friendly and took opportunities to ensure we were enjoying out stay and that we were comfortable. When my girlfriend lost her camera he even phoned the police and told us how to go about reporting it. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to relax and enjoy the seaside. We hope to come back to this hotel again in the near future. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Aqaba as it is a unique set up with a friendly atmosphere.

Laid back- good location if you are diving

We went there purely to have a dive. They've just opened up that service this year and have new equipment and our dive guide was a lovely Spanish woman helping them set it up. The roof top for sunset viewing and the cushioned lounging area were cool and there are a couple of competing neighbouring businesses which give a choice for eating etc. Room suited us fine.

This was a very good hotel. Staff was really helpful. They arranged our visit to Petra, which is 2 hours away from Aqaba. The room was clean and the pool was amazing given the weather. The Red Sea shore is just across the street, with an amazing view of Israel. It was good value for our money.

Convenient to great snorkeling!

This hotel is about 10 km away from Aqaba city center, so it's not convenient to restaurants, etc. However, if you have come to the Red Sea to snorkel, this hotel is a great jumping off point. The hotel is across the road (2 minute walk) from a nice public beach that is not crowded and has great coral and fish life. We were lucky enough to see a sea turtle (hawksbill). The hotel rents snorkel gear (a little pricey, but you pay for convenience).

The room was nothing special, but clean enough and with good air-con and hot water, and tv. The small pool was nice for an evening dip. The staff was always very nice and pleasant, helpful for arranging transportation and giving advice. Overall I would recommend it to people on a budget who like good swimming and don't mind a basic room.

Good, quiet and relaxing basic property with GREAT staff service

This is about a 10 minte taxi ride from downtown aqaba, it has GREAT staff they really helped with everything, has a very mellow and relaxed vibe. the food is good and it is literally right across from a big beach. The rooms are basic but clean and acceptable. Our water wasn't getting very hot, but we just went in the pool :) We booked the 4 person Chalet and it had a king and two doubles and it is a small space but we were happy with it. We rented a car and used it as a day trip jump off to Wadi Rum and Petra

Great Value in Tala Bay

Friendly Staff, great value for the money, and a two minute walk to the beach. Bedding and bathroom is basic but once again great value for the money. Definitely the best value in Tala Bay. I also liked the diverse crowd of travelers. I went with my wife (I am American she is Ukrainian) and I felt welcome and taken care of. I will come again for years to come.

- Son propriétaire Ali très sympathique, accueillant et arrangeant, les employés souriants et à l’image du gérant.
- La décoration extérieure, vous voyagez dans un univers colorée et artistique incroyable, où chaque détails enchante petits et grands.
- Le centre de plongée du Capitaine Mahmoud (mesdames il est célibataire, très sympathique et patient avec les enfants) nous avons adoré la plongée avec Mahmoud qui a réalisé le rêve de nos filles avec un baptême de plongée.
- Une vue incroyable pour les couchers de soleil
- Une proximité immédiate avec la plage (une des meilleure de Tala bay)
- Une piscine très agréable qui permet aux locaux et aux touristes de se rencontrer et d’échanger.
- Un rapport qualité prix très abordable pour l’endroit.
Les chambres sont dans leur jus (mais le matelas est très bon et la chambre propre et point positif elle dispose d’un frigo) et la Clim est un peu fatiguée mais tous les points positifs précédents compensent largement cela.
Nous avons passer un séjour très sympathique et si nous avions eu plus de temps nous y serions resté une nuit de plus avec grand plaisir!

Mysigt ställe. Nära stranden (bara en väg emellan). Pool finns (men den är kall). God mat till bra pris. Vänlig personal (men alla pratar inte engelska). Rummen är enkla men rymliga och har egen toalett och dusch. Sköna sängar.
