*Schimmel im Bad und starker Lärm – nicht familien

*Leider enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nicht familienfreundlich*

Wir waren mit Kind unterwegs und hatten uns auf einen angenehmen Aufenthalt gefreut. Leider war unser Zimmer (Nr. 203) direkt über dem Hoteleingang gelegen, was für sehr viel *Lärm durch vorbeifahrende Autos und rauchende Gäste bis spät in die Nacht* gesorgt hat – an erholsamen Schlaf war kaum zu denken.

Besonders enttäuschend war der Zustand des Badezimmers: *Schimmel an den Fugen und sogar an der Decke* ist inakzeptabel, vor allem, wenn man mit einem kleinen Kind reist.

Insgesamt entspricht das Zimmer weder dem Standard, den man bei diesem Preis erwarten würde, noch war es hygienisch akzeptabel. Wir können das Hotel leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

We only stayed a few hours due to our itinerary and arriving late but the front desk staff were very tentative and happy to help us get settled in. Check in and check out were a breeze and the location was perfect for us as we planned to visit the HockenheimRing the following morning. No real AC in this hotel but they did provide an in room fan and with the window open and blinds shut we slept comfortably.

Durchschnittlicher Aufenthalt

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Achat war durchschnittlich - eher einfache Unterkunft, entsprechend 2-3 Sterne.
Die Zimmergrösse ist angenehm, die Dusche in die Badewanne ist veraltet, nicht mehr heutiger Standard ! Die Spannteppiche im Haus sind ebenfalls veraltet,
sauber, einwenig abgenützt. Der Frühstückstisch war genügend und erfüllte den Bedarf.
Der Preis mit 17 Euro ist jedoch etwas zu hoch ! 12-15 wäre genügend. Es ist verwirrend, dass verschiedene Zimmerpreise, sowie Frühstückspreise im Internet zu finden sind.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean spacious room. Good breakfast (optional) to start the day. Free parking was available outside (not always close to the hotel). Location was convenient for access to Sinsheim and Speyer.
Not so good: very hot and no airconditioning and one small fan. Our room faced a busy road with large lorries moving late at night so keeping the windows open was not an option (we had asked in advance for a quiet room but this was the best we got). Only 2 small pillows on the beds. No in-room facilities - no kettle, no tea/coffee, no ice, no refrigerator, no iron or hair dryer, so very very basic.

This hotel is probably the best recommendation around the Hockenheimring.
Polite staff, clean rooms, good breakfast and a lobby bar which is open much longer than anywhere else.

Great location for Hockenheimring

We were at the hotel for the German GP. It was a great location about 40 mins walk away but with access to the shuttle from the campsite about 5 minute walk away.

We had a lovely welcome gift from the hotel.

Breakfast on the first day was disappointing but this proved to be as we went at the end of service. The other days when it was busy was ok.

The hotel could do with being updated to include air con in the bedrooms (appreciate this is hard). There was a fan in the room but with the extreme heat this didn’t really help. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room would also help but doesn’t seem to be the norm in Germany.

The staff were brilliant, very welcoming and very happy to help and a real credit to the hotel.

Nice little hotel, easy to find near Hockenheim circuit. Check in staff were fantastici n the evening. Room was big, clean and comfortable, but surprised to see a modern hotel without AirCon in the rooms.

Over all good hotel for an overnight stop with very friendly staff, particularly the night manager who could do enough for us.

Nothing to share. The hotel staff was nice. Only one thing, during check out, I realized that I left a male necklace in the room. I do not feel the hotel staff did enough to help me locate it. I called the hotel on several occasions to inquire but apparently, one staff member did not pass it on to the next. I know I left the necklace in the room, but when I told the staff member exactly where the necklace was, I didn't get the feeling they were actively looking for the necklace. Neither did I get a return call or email regarding the status. I checked out of the room on 5 August, called them on 5 August, and again on 6 August but to no avail.

A great hotel, very clean and spacious. Served as a stop over driving through Germany on way back from Northern Italy. No complaints at all with hotel other than vehicle entrance is not that clear as its shared with Macdonalds and other restaurants. Signage to Hockenheim racing circuit was poor in local area but this is no fault of hotel.

Short but good stay

I stayed at this hotel one night while attending a music festival at the race track. It was only a €7 cab ride to the ring. Staff was polite. Rooms were very large. Could have used some if that space for the bathroom but it was functional. I did leave a bracelet in the room which was supposedly not found by housekeeping so that would be my only complaint but ultimately would stay here again, housekeeping isn't responsible for keeping up with my jewelry I should have been more careful when packing.

Ideal for the Grand Prix

We booked this hotel because it was (just) within walking distance of Hockenheim ring .they have triple rooms which was a bonus - but no air conditioning which made it very uncomfortable. They did supply a fan.

A young lady at a local restaurant helped us to find this hotel near Heidelberg. The room was Clean, Quiet, and Comfortable. Lisa at the front desk was especially welcoming and helpful. We took note of the Achat locations--to use this hotel chain in the future. A Very Nice Stay Indeed!

Needs Update

The shower had no curtain but a shower door about half the size of the tub...not only would you splash water all over if you are not careful but the area that was covered also was leaking as the seal under the swiveling door was old and worn and I am sure it is in all the rooms like that as the property hasn't seen any updates since it was built. They also still have actual room keys on a key holder guests have to lug around and not more convenient and secure key cards.

The hotel was comfortable and clean.The staff were friendly and efficient; they provided information on local restaurants which were of a high quality. There is a small bar which is open to residents. It is near to Hockenheimring which is around a 10 minute drive away. This was our second stay at the hotel.

Just what we needed

I booked this for a colleague who was travelling back from Budapest and needed somewhere convenient to the motorway and with somewhere to eat nearby. McDonalds next door and supermarket a few mins drive so this did the job perfectly. I expect we will use this hotel again.

ACHAT Hotel in Hockenheim, Germany

The hotel was clean, cozy and well-maintained. I was very pleased with the location. The staff were very courteous and polite. The only problem I had
was the stinky toilets which I believe were due to low water levels. The stench of urine was horrible.
They nedd to invest in deodorizers with bleach to
eliminate this problem. I have never encountered a stinky toilet in a hotel in America.

Well, I checked into this hotel due to it being close to the Hockenheim Racetrack. I didnt get to the hotel until 2am the first night and was ready to sleep. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. I got to my room and it was not what I expected at all. First was the smell when I opened the door, then I when I saw the beds I was shocked. It was about 3 feet wide. There was no AC so the windows had to be opened. The Autobahn was about 10 feet from the hotel and VERY loud. So not much sleep was had that night. Got up the next morning to shower, and there was barely enough room in the shower to turn around. Needless to say I checked out and found a Really nice hotel about 15 km away in Sperey! I will not ever be staying there again!

great place for proximity to Hockenheim Ring

My husband and I stayed at Achat while attending the Formula Student Germany competition. The location is great for activities at the Ring. It is probably technically walking distance, but far enough that it seems too far--about 2.5km. But the price was extremely reasonable, and the hotel was great. The room was very comfortable, clean and in good condition. One minor detail: it is near the autobahn and we had our windows open. The road noise was fairly loud if you're a sensitive sleeper. We had no problem.

The hotel was like many othe mittlepriced hotels. No more no less. But one often get better in Germany.
The breakfast though was very good!

The light in the room was surprisingly poor.

And... if you tend to check emergency exit - just to be prepared... DON'T - you get on the roof and can't get back. No bell, no phoneno. no nothing... it is ok when the sun is shining :-)

Great place if you have a car

We arrived at the hotel after an 8 1/2 hour flight around 9am. Thankfully they let us check in even though we were so early, which was very much appreciated. The hotel was clean and the room was quite large. The location was not ideal, but the friend that we were visiting had a car so it was fine. Achat is located in what seemed to be the industrial area so the view wasn't much. But for the price, very friendly staff, and much needed bed it was perfect!

Also the free Internet in the lobby was appreciated.

An unexpected bagain during unfavorable Dollar - Euro exchange rate

This hotel is an unexpected bargain for those without Euros, and at the same time it is a very clean hotel with all room emenities and polite staff. It is the best bargain near Heidelberg, Mannheim, the Bergstrasse and the Odenwald The trade-off is that you need to have a rental car --- the bus takes more than an hour to Heidelberg and the train (15 minutes walking distance) goes to Mannheim --- you have to change trains there to get to Heidelberg. Also, there is no swimming pool in the hotel and breakfast costs extra. Still, it is an amazing bargain. If you come by car from Frankfurt Airport, take the A5 autobahn south, and then switch to the A6 Autobahn as you pass Darmstadt. Get off the A6 Autobahn at the Hockenheim exit, turn left from the exit ramp and then immediately turn right into the McDonald parking lot --- the hotel is right there.

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer. Der Teppich war etwas fleckig aber ansonsten war es recht sauber. Bequeme Betten. Gardine schliessen nicht vollständig. Sehr gute Auststattung mit Kaffekocher und Kühlschrank. Frühstücksbuffet sehr grosszügig. 1A der Wasserautomat! Sehr hochwertig, sauber gehalten und 24/7 verfügbar.

Teppich viele Flecken. Bad/Dusche sehr verkalkt Dusche Trennwand...Fenstern waren noch die Abdrücke des vorigen zu sehen....Duschzeug war leer...auch am Waschbecken für die Hände.

Frühstück sollte man darauf achten das die Speisen nicht alle sind ...zum Beispiel Brötchen dann erst gemacht bzw gebacken werden wenn sie alle sind ...Obst...

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen! Das Hotel machte insgesamt einen gepflegten Eindruck ! Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und ließ keinen Wunsch offen. We hebben dit hotel gekozen voor 2 overnachtingen op onze reis naar Oostenrijk en om Heidelberg te bezoeken. De keuze voor dit hotel vanwege prijs, service en locatie. Het is een net hotel, goede voorzieningen, een goed ontbijtbuffet en vriendelijk personeel.

Zwar saniertes Bad aber Duschabtrennung und unterer Duschbereich Fliesenfugen waren total verschmutzt, Fön kaputt, an der Rückwand unterm Tisch nicht gründlich gereinigt (Getränk ist wohl jemandem runtergelaufen) Unten an der Rezeption zwar ein cooler Raum mit Motorradtheke und Autobildern aber leider als Abstellplatz für Kartons und Gerüppel vom Hotel genutzt. Nicht wirklich einladend!!!!!! Hotel Eingang ist auch als Durchgangsstraße z.b. von Mc.Donalds Besuchern genutzt. Sehr gefährlich vorallem für Kinder!!!!!

Leider ist die Lage sehr laut, denn das Hotel liegt direkt an einer Schnellstraße und auch der nahegelegene McDonalds ist in den Abendstunden laut frequentiert. Daher war die Geräuschkulisse Abends leider sehr hoch. Da mein Zimmer keine Klimaanlage hatte, musste ich mit offenem Fenster schlafen, wodurch die Nächte etwas schwierig waren. Die Zimmer an sich sind nicht modern, aber für wenige Übernachtungen ok. Das Frühstück war am ersten Morgen auch ok. Nichts Besonderes sondern eine solide Auswahl. Am Abreisetag hatte ich Pech, da nicht schnell nachgelegt wurde und ich nicht viel zur Auswahl hatte. Ob es an meinem Besuchszeitpunkt oder dem Personal lag, kann ich nicht sagen. Insgesamt war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wodurch mein Aufenthalt alles in allem ok war. Aufgrund der hohen Geräuschkulisse, würde ich nicht nochmal dort übernachten.
