Have to do the check in by myself on the computer. I like human interaction so I did not liked it. After that when I needed help i was able to get it. Hotel was not close to touristic sites. The room was good

A/C in the room kept shutting off (after about 45mins) during the night. I assume this is done to save energy. Woke up every hour very sweaty and had to get out of bed to manually turn the A/C back on. Made my 3-night stay very miserable…Hotel is soooo environmentally friendly that they even have carbon footprint ratings for each of the meals in the restaurant. I’m all about saving the environment, but not at the expense of my sleep while on summer vacation…Overall, hotel was very nice. It should also be known that it is located in the LGBTQ+ district of the city (in case that’s a deal-breaker for anyone reading this). And despite what is listed on Hotels.com, this hotel does NOT have a laundry facility (only a laundry service where the hotel will wash your clothes for about 5 euros per piece of clothing). We ended up walking to a laundromat about 0.75 miles away. Kind of a hassle but I’m not spending over 100 euros per load of clothes.

Good location near the west side of the park. Across the street for the Big Bus tour. The breakfast with the room is fantastic, it gets crowded but is located in large rooms. Wonderful staff if you need help. If your looking for restaurants, a couple very good ones are a block or two away.

Air con did not work. Stuck at 27.5c Transferred to another room this was stuck at 24.5c.
Open windows but noise from air conditioning units was so loud.
Wi fi not working, goes on and off. Call help desk and nobody answers. Disappointed stay this time. And we have stayed here three times in the last year.

Great hotel with quirky (in a good way) decor. 5 mins walk from nearest U bahn station for simple access to all parts of Berlin. Good gym, lovely breakfast. Comfortable bed in a decent sized room. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

The hotel is amazing. It has good amenities like a table tennis area, bar and gym. Really beautifully decorated. The only things I did not enjoy is that it’s a little out of the way, and there’s little staff as the check in and check out are self service.

I missed the human connection. Having said this, the staff I spoke with were very kind.

Hôtel qui semble un peu défraîchi à l’extérieur mais très bien entretenu à l’intérieur. Le personnel est très agréable et très serviable. Nous avons pris tous nos petits déjeuners à l’hôtel et le choix du buffet était très impressionnant. Ça vaut la peine de réserver les déjeuners avec la chambre c’est encore moins cher. Nous avons aussi dîner sur place et c’était délicieux. L’hôtel est très bien servi avec les autobus. J’y retournerais sans hésiter.

The check in is painful as no check in desk. All online with tablets in entrance to hotel. We arrive early and complete the lengthy forms and was then told rom not available. We found someone and said you can’t check in till 3pm so would have to come back and do the whole form again!

We did return and got the key but only one. This was not ideal as need to have one key for the electricity. So when you go for breakfast you phone won’t charge etc. when we got into the room there was cleaning items left in the room which was odd. The double bed had two single duvets. The lighting was awful and no large lights so the centre of the room was always dark.

Overall it was clean and the bar staff in the evening were amazing. Breakfast was ok but €25 seemed a bit high for what you have. The last day we didn’t have breakfast but wanted a coffee before we checked out. The bar doesn’t serve coffee until 10am. The restaurant wouldn’t serve me a coffee only breakfast for €25! I was told you have a coffee machine in room but you need to have bottled water to use which wasn’t provided.

The hotel was OK but left a bit frustrated and don’t think I will be back.

Great stay, as always. I particularly enjoy the facilities and the rooms which are of a good standard and include a fridge to cool your drinks. I am mentioning this because I've come across some other hotels recently that did have a fridge in the room.
Gym and sauna in the basement a definite bonus. Staff are friendly. The hotel exudes a calming and relaxed atmosphere. What's not to like?

The breakfast was good. Items were seasoned well, so no salt was needed. The gym was nice and had enough equipment for a good workout. There is also a table tennis room which saw a lot of action from other guests. You’ll need to use your room card to keep the power on in your suite. They are serious about energy conservation, so get an extra key if you want the central air/heat to run while you’re away. Otherwise, as soon as you remove the key, the power will shut off. The location is close enough to walk around the historic neighborhood. They also have parking if you drive.

7th floor rooms aren’t very convenient as
You need to take 2 separate lifts at opposite ends of a corridor to access your room. During my stay, one of the only 2 lifts to 7th floor was out of action so getting to and from breakfast in the mornings took too long. I tried taking the stairs but once in The stairwell, you can’t get out except thru emergency fire exit doors on ground floor to the street - I couldn’t get back into the rooms corridor. Other than this the room was as great. Pretty basic amenities in the room eg combined body wash and shampoo not separate; no moisturiser, rooms don’t have an iron and the iron I was given had cracked metal base which snagged my dress! It’s auto checking in and checking out so great if you’re on business and dont want to queue for reception etc.

Parking is conveniently next to the building. 25 euros per day.
There are computers to self checkin but there is a room with staff available to help. The staff are helpful. The room itself had a king bed and two bunk beds. The top bunk is literally at an angle, so it didn’t feel safe to use. But luckily we didn’t need it.
Room was clean. No toiletries. Soap was empty. But staff were quick to refill. Checkout was easy. Breakfast was the best part. Amazing variety and quality.

The room was clean, staff at the bar was very nice! The sauna in the morning wasn’t working but at night when I came back was working. It says there’s laundry service, but it’s not self service. You have to send out and it’s only on mondays. It also says here they have shuttle to the airport but they DO NOT. Overall our stay was fine. It’s about 10-15 mins bus ride to the main city. And fairly close to some restaurants.

I stayed for two weeks and overall had a very positive experience. The staff is extremely friendly, check in and check out were smooth, and the pricing is reasonable. The location is convenient, close to bus lines, with taxis always available and Uber typically just two to three minutes away. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, cereals, and juices.

There is also a convenient self service store on site where you can buy snacks, beverages, and essentials such as phone chargers. It is simple and efficient, just scan, pay, and go.

The only downside was the WiFi. Be aware that your room location will directly affect your connectivity. During my 13 day stay, I was only able to connect to the hotel WiFi from my room about 2 percent of the time. The remaining 98 percent of the time I had to rely on my phone’s cellular data. In contrast, the connection in the lobby was stable and fast.

I mentioned it to the staff and hope management improves coverage with proper signal extenders. If you rely on internet for work, having a backup option such as an eSIM is strongly recommended, as it was essential for me during my stay.

A truly awful place and the bed was so uncomfortable. I had to move to a different hotel. I was assured by Evie at the reception that I would receive a refund for last 3 nights which is why I decided to move and the after I left I was told that I wouldn’t receive this after all. So they lied as well. Horrible.

The room was very comfortable and the location was central so it was easy to go to many of the sites. Although the decor was very interesting, I didn't like the online check in, and the overall atmosphere was that of a Las Vegas casino. Very big, very loud, unusual mix of people. However, once upstairs it was quiet and rooms were a nice size.

This is a huge hotel with self check in and out. It’s clean and comfortable - located in the area of the city where all the government buildings and consulates are. It’s not in the heart of Berlin, I would say - but perfectly nice and good transport links (bus and underground).

The unmanned check-in is convenient, but you'll need to find a staff member to get VIP benefits. The hotel is close to the bus stop, the breakfast is delicious, and although the hotel itself is old, the room was fairly spacious on the 6th floor facing the park plaza, and I had a great view of the New Year's fireworks.

The premium rooms were so modern, spacious and quiet! Not very impressed with the bar woman being quite rude and this being the only option we always ate outside. Shame we couldn’t play table tennis because the same woman wasn’t very hospitable. The gym and sauna were awesome.

Cool place. Easy self check in/out process in seconds. Good location and kind staff. I was assigned a room in the 7th floor and had to take one elevator, walk about 80 meters and take another one. Not so nice, however it was a great stay overall. I'd stay there again if I ever had to go back to Berlin.

The room was excellent—spotlessly clean, very quiet, and comfortable. We stayed in a junior suite on the sixth floor facing the inner courtyard, and it was a peaceful retreat.

However, I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t respond to several emails asking for guidance on the best way to reach the property from BER Airport. After a long journey, the self-service check-in system also felt frustrating to use; at that point, I would have preferred assistance from a staff member, especially when you’re tired and can’t find your reading glasses.

We also hoped to use the sauna, but it was switched off. A staff member informed us that guests need to request this in advance so it can be turned on, which isn’t something I’ve encountered before—I normally expect to use such facilities at my own convenience.

On the positive side, the location is fantastic, with the U2 station nearby offering easy access to many major attractions. Despite a few inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to Hotel Berlin, Berlin.

The hotel was just okay. A bit dated and an awful check in experience. No staff to speak to you upon arrival - impersonal touch screens only. We had specified a twin room and lo and behold ended up being given a double room. This inconvenience could probably be have avoided if there’d been someone on check in. No milk in the room and very narrow single beds and thin duvets.

Ok stay check in was not efficient electronic check in at stand but every person had to go to customer service after so was worthless. Hotel general appearance was nice the room was in working order and I liked the curious botanist toiletries. Called to have safe fixed as it did not work and never got someone to fix it. Did not recognize my parking credit perk from hotel.com so had to argue for it. Customer service was rude. Breakfast staff pleasant and helpful. Decent location for site seeing but need transportation pass.
