Clean, updated quiet rooms, good location. Staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke English. Convenient walk or quick ride on trams/buses to shopping, sites, train station. Can be a little noisy from street during peak traffic hours if window is open. Didn’t get a chance to try breakfast or happy hour, but it looked good.

Nice clean comfortable room in a great location. Busses and trams to the Altstadt or train station stop right outside the front door. There is a very nice market and bakery right next door. The parking facility was excellent.

Good location with bus/tram stop outside front door of hotel. 15 minutes walk from HBF or tram for €2.20. Bus to town centre takes about 10-15 minutes. Room was standard for hotel, nice hot shower, but no fridge. TV had a couple of English news stations. Staff were friendly. Supermarket underneath hotel, open Mon-Sat.

Pros-The hotel is only 10 minutes close to the old town. The area is quite and close to few restaurants and cafes.
Cons- I am very disappointed by the reception. The one person worst than the other- the only exception was Mark. The breakfast was good, but it was exactly the same During our 7 days stay. And as long as we were there for New Year’s Eve, we expected something more and different especially for this day

The included breakfast was sufficient and welcomed. The hotel is walking distance from the old city and castle. We woulld stay here again.

Great hotel in the heart of Heidelberg. Short walk from main train station with a train/trolly/bus stop just out front. Staff was excellent and helpful. There are a wide range of foods for breakfast. Missing/forgot anything...staff goes out of way to assist. Room was very clean, efficient and had just what we needed.

Convenient and pleasant hotel

Nice clean room in a hotel halfway between main station and the old town. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Free breakfast was excellent and much appreciated. There's also a supermarket on the first floor and a tram stop right outside. Minor negative points: no fridge (although this is common in most of Europe), and the air conditioning could have been a little more effective. However, these are only quibbles.

Only an overnight stop but the hotel was very clean, loved the huge shower, and the car park was convenient although quite steep charge for it. Good value for money and Heidelberg is a lovely city. Great supermarket underneath the hotel for provisions for a long journey which is worth a visit.

It was hot! We’re from Florida and even we were hot! We opened the windows but was not enough to get rid of the backdraft, we were told that the air does not go on unless the temperature outside is above 71 Fahrenheit. Great parking! 30-40 minute walk to main pedestrian walk area. Sidewalk is ample on main hotel street to walk there. The location itself is not a pretty street as it’s a Main Street but the streets behind have cute cafes to stop in for a bite or beer.

Beds were not comfortable, however, and there were only 2 towels for 3 people, but of course staff provided more when asked. There was a very harsh chemical/cleaning agent smell in the hallway so we kept our room window open the whole time for fresh air

The hotel was wonderful. The staff went \"above and beyond\" to help and the breakfast was wonderful. The local traffic and construction made it difficult to access, but this isn't an issue that the hotel can address. It is an issue that will affect travelers that stay there.

Well managed hotel in good location close to railway station and town centre. Good breakfasts. Reception staff had to double up as bar staff. No bar snacks available(other than nuts). Room and shower good but air conditioning controls complicated. A suitcase rack would be welcome. Bed comfortable.Good TV., lighting and furnishings. Shortage of cleaning staff during my stay, offered free drink in lieu.

The hotel is conveniently located..right by trams/buses. The room is small for 2 adults and child. The breakfast is fine and can get crowded on weekends..overall, decent value for the money but very generic. Not bad for a short stay

We reached at 11am and we drop by our luggage as the check in time is 14pm. When we back on 16pm with both kids sleeping they told us we still need to wait for 10 min as the room is not ready yet. Even a HOSTEL have no such a issue with a timing but a HOTEL have this issue. I am super disappointed and angry with this.

Perfectly located property within 20 minutes walking distance of Heidelberg’s Hauptstrasse. Bus and tram links literally outside the front door. Love the option of forgoing room valeting for a complimentary drink. Extensive breakfast buffet included in room tariff. Spotlessly lean. very pleased.

In the past we stayed at a small hotel right at the old bridge. This time, I was hoping for comfort, because we were there for 2 nights before flying home, and easy access so decided to go with a chain hotel. Parking was easy and the elevator takes you right to reception. The hotel isn't in the old town, but isn't too far, maybe just a few blocks. The streets can be quite noisy. The rooms are exceptionally tiny. Initially we were given a room with two beds and when I asked if it was possible to get one bed - thinking that we would get a queen or a king - we were given a room with one double bed which was really tight for two adults. The bed was not very comfortable as it was extremely soft. The breakfast was just so-so and I've had much better at the smaller hotels. To be honest, for the price I think we would stay somewhere else next time.

Nice hotel and close to old Heidelberg

Close to old town Heidelberg-you can walk to it from hotel. Parking is a little expensive, front desk staff are nice and very helpful. Air conditioner was so-so. We were there when Germany beat Sweden in the World cup and the was going crazy-fun to experience.

Shower drainage was choked and ponded. Reception initial response was that there was nothing they can do and I have to wait till next morning. Faulty key system that day as well which causes inconvenience going up and down the building. It was not a good experience and hopefully it's just a one off incident. Location was good.

Parking is located in the same building for 15 euro per day. The building also has a relatively large supermarket should you wish to stock up on wine or purchase something for lunch. The hotel includes a cold breakfast which includes ham, cereal, cheese, fruit, yogurts, pastry, juices, coffee and tea. A few restaurants are within a five minute walk but if you wish for selection you will need to take a ten minute stroll. Towels weren’t of the quality type but they did the job.

Excelent stay in a beautiful town.

I rarely have zero complains from a hotel stay and this was one of those rare moments. The hotel is very nice, modern and clean and situated near the center of the city. The room is clean and although it is not very large, we were very comfortable with our two kids. Heidelberg is a beautiful town and we'll definitely stay in the same hotel the next time. Special thanks to the evening-shift receptionist for warming-up our milk bottles :)

We stayed for 3 days for a short visit to Heidelberg. The hotel is practically brand new, very clean and an amazing staff. Although the room wasn't huge, it served our purpose.
Bed was very comfortable, Breakfast was quite good too.
It is within walking distance to both the tram station and old town.

Clean comfortable room. Stayed for 2 nights, and were offered a free drink each if room cleaning was skipped, but could get fresh towels at desk. Friendly staff. Small adequate complimentary breakfast. A 20 minute walk to the Monkey bridge, and other tourist sights. Nice secluded patio off bar.

We had a quick stay because of our tight schedule, but this hotel was a lovely retreat. Looks brand-new. Appreciated the coffee in the room--my husband loved it so much I ordered him some online to enjoy at home! The front desk was friendly and efficient. We appreciated the time they spent helping us with some travel questions. Parking was convenient and secure. We had to leave early for a flight so we didn't have a chance to try the buffet.

Holiday Inn Express is easy to walk to from the main train station in Heidelberg. It is in a quiet area but with a big supermarket right on the doorstep. Easy ten minute stroll into town. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Liked the fact there was a kettle in the room for making tea and coffee. The breakfast dining area was spacious and you could also eat your breakfast outside in the courtyard area.
