This hotel was wonderful! It was in a great location close to public transportation and a little bakery across the street. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and kind. The rooms were lovely, clean and well-appointed. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was amazing!

I stayed here for business and it was a nice hotel. About a 15 minute walk from the train station, 20 minute walk to dkfz, 15-20 minute walk to the old town area with lots of shops and bars. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and had beautiful windows with great natural light. I purchased the hotel breakfast and it was fantastic - wide variety of healthy and hearty options.

We booked the largest available room called apartment. The hotel did not disclose when we booked it that the apartment was located in another building, a block away from the hotel. We had to roll our luggage there. The furniture inside was like from the flea market, the table scratched and warned out, bed was contemporary while the wardrobe was old fashioned brown, the sink in the bathroom cracked, no air conditioning. Felt like an old Airbnb and not a hotel at all. You would not find in this apartment anything even close to the nice pictures published by hotel on Expedia. Would not recommend.

A nice hotel

This is a modern hotel a short walk or tram ride from the old town. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Staff at reception were friendly, welcoming and helpful. There is an underground car park for which a fee is payable but it is secure so this was a positive for me.
Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was full on our first night due to a festival taking place in the city so it was necessary to select a time slot for breakfast on the Sunday morning, this wasn't a problem and there was a good selection of food and this was kept stocked up throughout service.
Even though the hotel was full it was very quiet (although when the people in the room above used their shower the water splashing on the shower base sounded something like an old steam train)
If I were to return to Heidelberg in future I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.

Large room with a comfortable bed and the best shower I've had in years. Not only has heating and A/C ventilation, but also has heating/cooling floors in both bedroom and bathroom. We upgraded our room and ended up with a private patio which was a delightful surprise.

We recommend Qube for a stay!

We loved our stay at the Qube. We traveled from USA and were skeptical the room would be small. We were pleasantly surprised the room was large and bathrooms even bigger. The room was very clean and well kept.
We reached the hotel early and they accommodated an early checkin. The hotel had coffee and tea available.
The location is quite ideal. Easy taxi drive or in fact you could walk to downtown Heidelberg or plenty of trains.
Overall great experience and good staff.

My family of four stayed here and greatly enjoyed our stay. It was very spacious and the bathroom was huge with a nice shower head. Transportation to and from any place is easily assessable and walkable. There’s also parking for 14 Euros/day. Breakfast was 19 Euro and had a great selection. I would definitely stay here again!

Beware, no restaurant or bar on Sundays or Mondays

Very disappointed to find the restaurant and bar closed after a long days driving. Both are closed on Sunday and Monday, this was not clear to us. I checked on Hotels.com but it was not obvious. Very disappointed with this.
The hotel and staff were perfect, no complaints with anything other than lack of restaurant and bar.

This was quite the walk from the edge of old town. When we checked in, we were told we were housed in a building around the corner. Did not like not being in the main building. Would choose a better location next time, however it was not unsafe. Just far.

We arrived in Heidelberg via train station and this hotel is perfectly situated between the train station and the main high street with all the restaurants and shopping.

Stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised to find it clean, comfortable, and convenient to old town. This was the one hotel on our romantic Europe trip I booked out of pure convenience and price… not expecting much… but we ended up really liking it. We were lucky enough to find a free parking spot on the street so we didn’t have to use the garage. Hotel was located about a mile from old town and we easily hopped on Lime Scooters which were fun to ride and plentiful to locate. Staff was very friendly and gave us an early check in and upgraded our room. Breakfast was standard but did the trick. Totally recommend.

This was a last minute booking as we were let down by two earlier bookings. Best decision we made. Very impressed by the whole hotel - from its high level of customer service and cleanliness. Our room (3 adults) was a good size, with a large bathroom and tea / coffee making facilities nearby in the hallway. Breakfast buffet - food was fresh with a good variety. Will definitely go back!

The strict adherence to Covid 19 protocols was a relief. They require proof of vaccination to reside in the hotel and enforce a mask policy while in shared spaces. Very well done!

Good location, great food, somewhat scary car park

This place is adequate but very quirky. It seems mostly catered to a business community. Very crazy neon lighting in the hallways and partly in the rooms. It was kind of dark to be honest- we were able to find our stuff, but it could have had another overhead light or two. The parking left much to be desired. We were able to park in their main garage which was a narrow scary zone. Its a stacked garage so you need to not have a high car, and no antenna. We saw someone's antenna get squished and they were a sedan (just as an FYI). Getting into the spots was kind of a joke and required a 10 point turn (maybe more) since you'd really want to back into a spot. Getting early to get a spot is a must or you might never be able to get in. They are narrow. If you don't see your car you have to raise the platform up until it shows up. The restaurant was great! If you stay do eat there since the food is excellent.

Reservation was switched from other Qube property in town. Apparently that hotel was unable to open due to COVID impacts. Had reserved a Junior Suite for three and the room at Qube Bahnstadt seemed small by comparison. Also, the bar and restaurant were closed and were being used for COVID testing. None of these shortcomings were communicated to me in a timely manner, which I find disappointing. Finally, the beds were very firm and uncomfortable. Qube Bahnstadt is an extremely nice property and I'm sure it will reach its full potential once COVID impacts subside.

Great place. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a room in the villa which was a beautiful historic building. Room had a nice bathroom, great water pressure, hot water, and lots of room. Room had high ceilings, very clean and a/c. Highly recommend. The hotel restaurant had a short menu but great food. Wait staff was awesome. Less than a mile walk to the alt start area.

Breakfast, location, room size and decor were all fantastic. The hotel could not accommodate my car because my car was too tall for their garage. I was advised to find street parking which is nearly impossible to find. I was able to find a garage about 5 minute walk from hotel which was very reasonably priced. I just wish that they could have provided me with garage option locations instead of me driving around trying to find parking. Also, I was on a lower floor, so with the windows open, I could hear street noise. Once windows are closed, though, room was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Bar and restaurant has a very relaxing feel. Overall, great experience and would return.

Quaint property. You need to check in in one building and then you may have your lodging either be in that main building or in another building in the middle of the block. We had the Junior Suite because we were 3 adults & 1 youth. There was enough space and the unit was pleasant. Very sound proof..we only heard the owl in the tree. That was great! If you required anything there was a phone and you'd call the main building for assistance. Internet was not the greatest after our second of 3 nights. The front desk was not able to rectify.

We rented a car and there is underground parking. It's a bit pricey at 19.50 Euros and it's stacked parking in a mechanical lift. (2 cars on one stacker) They DO have parking for an SUV in a garaged parking right next door to the main building so no worries if you have a larger vehicle.

Very close to main area. About a 10-15 min casual walk. Lots of small eateries along the way and very safe. The only 'minus' of this establishment would be the lack of outlets & lighting in the room.

Stayed in the Junior Suite which was in a separate building from reception. The room was well equipped with modern decor, and we loved the LED lights with option to change colours. The room was well proportioned for family with 2 children, and did not have the boxy feel of a typical hotel room.

The breakfast buffet (in main building) offered a lot of variety.
We were disappointed with the lack of dining offered on the evening we arrived (Saturday). We booked the hotel in the belief that we could have dinner there, after an 11 road trip to Heidelberg. Perhaps Saturday is the one day in the week when no dinner is offered in the restaurant, or it was an exception. When we asked hotel staff for alternative dining options, the suggestion was to head for the old town, with no specific recommendation. Searching for a restaurant suitable for children and vegetarians turned out to be a massive challenge, and resulted in the whole family being very grumpy.

The old town is approx. 15-20 mins walk from the hotel, although you can reach it by tram which stops just outside the building.

Although there is underground parking in the hotel, the entry is typically narrow and more suited for cars build a few decades ago. However, we had no problem finding parking (no tickets required over weekend) on nearby side streets.

Overall, we enjoyed the stay at the hotel, and had dining at the hotel been an option for us, we would have rated it 5/5.

A fabulous find. Although a little bit out of Heidelberg this was a great hotel. It was possible to walk into the town, it was a good 25 mins. There are buses and trams just outside or you can hire scooters to go in to the town, great fun! We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food. The family room was very spacious. There is an open air pool just round the corner that looked lovely. Walkable from the train station. Would stay here again!

The staff at the front desk was very helpful as were the staff in the other part of the hotel. I enjoyed the coffee maker and the room was lovely - large and comfortable. My only issue was parking which worked on the street fortunately but getting into the area off the main road was a bit tricky. It was easy walking distance from the river and the old part of the city.

We just had a quick 1 night stay in Heidelberg and booked this hotel at the last second. Only a quick 10 minute walk from the train station. The check-in staff was very helpful and the rooms were perfect. Nice restaurant just around the corner on the river and within walking distance of everything. Although we didn't eat there, the restaurant had very good reviews and looked busy for both breakfast and dinner. Would highly recommend for any duration of stay in Heidelberg

Most of the parking on the street was only free until 7 am, so we had to be sure to wake up and go out to the car before 7am to purchase a parking ticket. Otherwise a very nice one-night stay.

I loved this place. We stayed here on the first night of a whirlwind European vacation and it was just wonderful. The girl at the front desk was really nice and took the time to show us to our room and explain where everything was. The junior suite we stayed in was really quirky, but in a good way! A very interesting room with LED lighting and the bathroom was stunning. Probably larger than my first apartment and was just really clean and well lit. It was a little bit of a walk to the castle and the square, but Heidelberg is such a cool place that a little walk is very welcome. The breakfast was awesome too, I wish we could have had more than one night in this place.

Even though you checkin centrally, you are escorted out the door and around the corner to a separate secure building that has been converted into very nice, large and modern rooms. My 15 year old sons loved the lighting and hi-tech features of the room. Lots of space for all of our luggage. Very comfortable.

The Qube is a lovely hotel! Very clean, updated and modern. The staff was very friendly and professional at all times. It's in a great location, midway between old town and the train station. Both within 10 - 15 mins of walking. If you don't care to walk, the tram runs right in front of the hotel. The beds were a bit firm for my taste. But I used the duvet to sleep on and it was comfy. Definitely will be back!

beautiful hotel but no cooling in room

very nice hotel, trendy design. the window shades were supposed to be electric but the upper half worked with the button and the lower half didn't. not sure if that was intentional or not. but, the main problem was cooling. couldn't cool the room. it wasn't hot outside, but too warm inside for a good night's sleep.

My issue with accommodations centered on three things: 1) wifi connection was horrible, 2) apartment was on third floor of a building with no elevator and 3) there was no air conditioning,

Upgrade might not be what you had wished for.

The upgrade that was promised on Hotels.com was actually a move to another building opposite from the hotel where there was an apartment (a second floor walk-up) with a small lounge and a kitchen but no phone and or services like room service. This might be an upgrade for a long stay but not for a 2 day business trip. Overall the hotel service wasn't that great either. Maybe because I was in an \"apartment\", they didn't clean the room between the two nights I stayed. Also the staff was somewhat helpful but not very helpful. I don't think I'll stay there again.
