Luxurious and delightful property by the river, just across the bridge from old Heidelberg. We loved the beautiful decor, the robes and slippers, comfy bed, cozy sitting area, and plenty of books to read! The breakfast was next level- everything you could want after a morning hike up the schlangenweg or up to the Schloss. Or both. I recommend you do both, one at sunset and one at sunrise 🌄🌅 the TV didn't work so well, but ee didn't care because Heidelberg is entertaining enough!

We had no A/C in our room. We discovered it the first night of our stay but the front desk goes home at 8 pm. We then reported it in the morning of the next day but we were not given a new room until 9 pm the second day. We had to move all of our things.
The furniture has stains and some of it is broken. Almost all of the plants are plastic. When we complained, the manager told us they didn’t care if we gave them a bad review.

located good,promising parking but leading you to park in a public car park The rooms look good in pictures but in an uncomfortable reality, the heating did not work .and nobody explain to us how to operate it, simply not worth the money.

The location is fantastic and by far the best thing about the hotel. You’re 5 mins into the old town and the views from the hotel across to the Schloss, the river and the old town are breathtaking. The decor and the style of the hotel is also very on point. The room was very clean and spacious.

However there is a lot wrong with this hotel. We felt the hotel is trying to be something it isn’t. This hotel is charging 5* prices but doesn’t have the facilities not the staff to back this up.

1) There wasn’t any parking on site when we arrived and the gentlemen who hung around waiting for us to get our belongings together was the most unprofessional I’ve EVER come across. We are certainly not prude, and perhaps it was the casual way we were dressed but you certainly don’t expect an employee of a hotel like this to start using the F word whilst having a conversation with you! BIG NO

2) We weren’t advised there was a Spa or a Hot Tub/Sunbathing area outside when we checked in so we went looking for them on the second day and we were followed around and made to feel very uncomfortable like we were doing something wrong.

3) Breakfast is overpriced at €25. Our advice is save your money and buy from the old town. The only warm option on the menu is ‘eggs’ and when my poached eggs arrived they were so overcooked.

4) The spa is private (tiny) so was booked up and the outside hot tub area is difficult to find, unorganised and a little scruffy.

We wouldn’t go back.

Excellent location across the bridge from the busy and noisy town centre. Amazing view to the castle and the old town. Beautiful rooms. We stayed with 18 months baby and it was convenient to stay in a family suite, where she could sleep in a separate room. We did not use the little kitchenette, but it was good to have it. Breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the hotel to any type of travelers.

This property is directly across the river and a short walk to the city and to Philosophers Walk. We loved the views of the city and castle from our window. The facilities are kept immaculate. They have a Nespresso machine and coffee in your small well-appointed kitchenette. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the shower is a treat with its generous water flow/pressure (Reminiscent ofvthe showers at Frederiksbad in Baden Baden). I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to get over my jet lag while enjoying a beautiful town.

We loved our stay at this súper chic boutique hotel that is every bit as special as the pictures suggest. The staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. Breakfast in the lounge was a treat for the senses. The hotel is very close to the Philosophers’ Walk and the Castle. We enjoyed both, particularly the guided tour of the castle.

Great location close to bridge to Heidelberg Castle area and restaurants. However, our room was difficult to get to and separated from the rest of the hotel. Maybe that's what they consider a deluxe room. Its probably larger than the rooms in the main building but did not have air conditioning or ventilation, just a portable air conditioner or ventilator of some sort; didn't really cool the hot room much. Didn't opt for the expensive breakfast option ($25 euros per person) and instead used the in room coffee machine and had a nice breakfast in one of the nearby restaurants as we headed to the castle.

The views were spectacular! Room 20 main building was our favorite! Garden and jacuzzi access with castle views was a bonus. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Extra bonus, we had central AC for the beautiful but very warm Fall season visit. Reserve a parking space if you have a car, as parking is limited!

Beautiful boutique hotel with luxury flair. Accommodations are fantastic and attention to detail is amazing. Love the setting across the Heidelberg Castle and the historic town is just steps away. The only downside, a waitress during breakfast time that was rude and snobbish. We complained to management and next day, she was a different person.
Julia, at front desk, was amazing! What a wonderful personality and so helpful. Overall, our time at this gem of a hotel, was unforgettable. We’ll come back soon!

Hotel ok but very disappointing

Hotel was very nice but not as expected for price paid. The staff were very pleasant but only so much they could do due to what was on offer. The breakfast was average and the room did not seat everyone, very small therefore all four mornings we had to sit in lounge area and walk through reception to select food and return to our seat. Didn't get boiled egg ordered one morning (our only request) and cold milk for coffee which came in cup and cooled quickly. No restaurant or bar on premises therefore no way of requesting a snack or coffee. This wasn't clear on booking and poor for a hotel at this price. Nespresso machine in room not to everyones taste with limited milk. Kitchenette in our room but no provision for cooking on hob so pointless. No cleaning materials for washing or drying cups. Lounge never vacuumed or properly dusted during our four days despite being a small area to cover. No tidying in lounge at all. We are not great drinkers, in fact my wife doesn't touch alcohol and for some that is part of holiday. Other than a small walk in space with honesty bar near reception, that was all available. Miniatures available as you would normally see in a minibar and not much else. We were expecting something really special at the prices charged but this wasn't the case. It is sometimes good on holiday ordering food and coffee with room service. I believe they would go collect takeaway food for you but we can do this anytime at home.

I had been here around 2 yrs ago, and liked it's graceful and quiet, thoughtful services. Of course, luxury room as well. Thus when I planned this summer trip to Heidelberg, without second thought, I booked this hotel again.
Well... I could feel 2 years time. In positive way, they seem very diligent about room maintaining... keep doing renovations, thus still very clean and all new room condition.
Slight, very slight down point is... they become too busy, as result, for example, they converted former elegant lounge area(that had been opened to guests for all day with free tea) to extra breakfast room... maybe too many guests. (well... anyway it's nice to know they are doing well. )
Even though they become busy, they are still sweet, cheerful, and thoughful and offering decent breakfast.
I could enjoy my stay cozy and pleasant this time again... and surely will recommend to my friends.

This was our favorite hotel we stayed in while touring Germany. It's easy to walk over the bridge into town and the staff always have maps and great recommendations for anything you might want. What a Gem!

We had business in Dusseldorf but took a one night trip to Heidelberg prior. Everyone at the hotel was extremely accommodating and helpful with suggestions on things to do and made a dinner reservation for us. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in town and even on a really chilly evening, the walking was fine. Best to leave your vehicle parked at the hotel since parking is at a premium.

The room was nicely decorated with a lovely view of the river and castle. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The robes were quite cozy! Note: There is an additional charge for cleaning if you use the kitchen in the room. We very much enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which included made to order eggs. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel

Bad start finished well

On arrival with Jack Russell (dog) in tow I was not only blamed for not telling the hotel of this prior but was then offered the choice of a pricey upgrade to a 'dog suite' or a downgrade for no discount to the infamous car park dog room. When I suggested we call it quits, a garden dog room was located and this was brilliant. Great room, terrific view, nicely equipped, lovely bathroom, incredibly discrete service. Could not ask for more.

A very bad welcome became a memorable stay and I'm considering going back with dog and husband next time. Will be interesting to see the choice of room that is on offer :-) Thank you for making good HS.

You need to consider there isn't reception available 24-hr and there isn't Elevator. Otherwise the view is the most interesting part. Breakfast serving didn't have a chance to try due to timing with business hours. Car park space is limited.

Great hotel, located on the bank of the Neckar River facing the Old Town. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and had a great view of the river, town, and Heidelberg Castle. The quality of the accommodations was superb, as was the level of service provided by the staff and concierge. It was the highlight of our ten days in Europe.

I chose this hotel because it is very close proximity to the hub of everything you really want to see in Heidelberg and has been rated very well. From the minute we pulled into the small courtyard we were treated very well and greeted with smiles and courteous demeanor. This is a very nice place to stay and well worth the cost. We have stayed in hotels across Europe and this is in the top 3 over the last 3 years and countless trips.

Pros - Very clean, very friendly staff, GREAT location to see the sights. Good food for the free breakfast buffet. Deserves a high rating. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Bathroom is relatively large for such a small room. There is even a tub that fits two people nicely. There is a kitchenette that has a nice Nespresso coffee machine and the non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary. It was over 100 degrees out and the room had a portable A/C unit that worked flawlessly. We were very thankful for that. Valet parking is on par with the average price you will pay across Europe. They are very careful with your car and luggage.

Cons - There are very few. We couldn't figure out how to use the shower that has a very large rain shower head. Probably user error but we turned all the knobs. I don't know. Sometimes the traffic during the day can be heard from the street to include night life goers walking by.

I have to say I was a little disappointed in our stay at Heidelberg Suites. I was really looking forward to it as from the website and information on the internet it looked lovely but in the flesh our room was run down. Curtains were hanging/falling off their curtain rods, there were large black marks and dents on a number of the white walls in our room, we had no telephone, a number of lights had broken bulbs and therefore didn't work and the walk in shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The location of the hotel is good as it looks back over the old city and the castle. We had a small view from one of our windows which was nice and it was an easy 5 minute walk into the city centre. The outside facade of this hotel is beautiful but there is definitely room for improvement on the inside.

Arrived to be told to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, there wasn't lift access to our room. Room had no telephone. Breakfast was not pleasant, my husband and I both ordered omelette (oily, salty, inedible) and told there was no toast to accompany it! This place relies in appearance rather than service. Staff showed no interest to tend to guests requests. Disappointing.

Fantastic hotel near the old bridge

A very shi shi hotel. Exquisite furnishings and grounds, real luxury. Rooms have a kitchenette with dishwasher - if you need one. Superb views of the river and castle. Beautifully manicured gardens behind the hotel. Great breakfast, staff cook your eggs on request, just how you like them! Would definitely return. Very friendly and relaxed staff.

Excellent Hotel

Excellent hotel in a stunning position high above the rhine. Room was expensive but a good size, nice en-suite and with a stunning view. Everything was very good and we enjoyed our short stay there. There were two problems:
1 On trying to book the restaurant on arrival in the early afternoon we were told it was fully booked unless we were after 9pm. This was a shock given we were residents and given the remoteness of the hotel.
2 On asking to have tea on the terrace to enjoy the lovely sunny day and the views we were told it was not possible as the terrace was closed due to some rain in the morning. This was very poor as the sun had been shining for hours.
Point 1 was eventually resolved and we were given a dinner reservation at a convenient time. And the food was very nice.
Point 2 was not resolved and my view is that if a resident wants tea on the terrace then that is what they get irrespective of whether it may have been rainy earlier in the day. Management need to review such policies.

Lovely hotel with views of the castle

We stayed in a really comfortable room with adjoining livng space. Staff were very friendly and the room itself had a great view. It was a walk over the bridge to the old town with lots of restaurant and small bars to enjoy.

Nice room with limited facilities

Stayed in a Junior Suite for 3 nights just after Christmas. We were greeted by a nice guy who parked our car and took our luggage in the room.

Room had a nice view of the castle with comfortable bed.
It makes no sense that bathroom wall is not up to ceiling, so light, noise or smells come direct on your bed.

It is ideal if you want just a room. Services of a hotel are not available. Restaurant was not available. They said reception till 10pm but By 8pm no receptionist around. If you try to call the hotel in the evening no one answers.
The hotel offers \"parking\" facility. The want to keep the car key. So if after 8pm you wanted to use your car you cannot cause no one is at hotel and garage is closed. I complained the 1st night about that and they promised that when receptionist leave they would leave me car key in room. Did not happen.

Beautiful view , stylish decor, friendly staff

We were lucky enough to have room / suite No 18. The room has a jaw dropping view of the river and old town. The staff are all extremely friendly and attentive with excellent restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended!

The rooms are recently-decorated and spacious, but the buildings have an Old World charm.

The location is convenient and enjoys a great view of the Castle and old town. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the old town, over a pleasant route and then the Karl Theodor bridge.

The Concierge Made It Special

We stayed 3 days at the hotel in room 5 on the second floor. The room had a small balcony tucked up against the side of the property with zero view, but was fine for a drink. The main room faced the courtyard, so while there was no real view it was light. The courtyard was mostly quiet when we were there and the only detraction of the location (other than the lack of view) was cigarette smoke wafting up from below. The room was very large and suited our family of 4 well. It would have been quite luxurious for two. As with other guests, we all found the breakfast lacking, particularly for the quality of the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is across the street from the river and a short walk to the old bridge to the heart of the old town. Close enough, but not too close. We visited the local \"castle,\" the old town and on the recommendation of the concierge one of the neighborhoods close by and the ruins of castles in Neckarsteinach, a 15km bike ride away along the river. We also ate at one of the restaurants recommended to us, a real local neighborhood beer garden. We can't say enough about how well we were treated by the staff, but in particular by the hostess/concierge, Melanie. If she is there when you visit, you will be well taken care of.

Beautiful unique stay

Unique boutique hotel experience. Stay here if that's what you like. Beautiful grounds, attention to details, wonderful staff and service. Our room was so spacious for a family of 3! Beautiful decor (european elegance). Perfect location for Heidelberg but away from the crowds and tourists. Thank you Heidelberg Suites! We so much enjoyed our stay with you!!!

Lovely View, Lovely People

The Suites is right down on the waterfront, a very short walk across a historical gate into the old downtown and what is now the shopping district. The suite was just a standard one because we were late booking but at that it was still a lovely 2 rooms. More, the hotel staff were amazing! They parked our car for us, brought our luggage up without asking if we required help, provided excellent suggestions and directions for where to go out, and to boot, we were a mere 5 blocks from the Castle that overlooks the City and a crazy near vertical lift. All in all a perfect way to tie up our holiday.

Beautiful hotel close to Heidelberg's Old Town

The hotel is in a beautiful set of buildings overlooking the river a short walk from the bridge to the old town of Heidelberg. The suites are spacious and very tastefully decorated, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying a couple of nights in the area and not too concerned about price, as the suites are a little on the expensive side.
