An older property with some quirks, but the location is ideal, and the staff wonderful! The in-room mini onsen a gift after a day of skiing. A close walk to all the fun restaurants and shops of Hirafu, and the ski in/ out access is ideal. Shout out to the front desk team who answered all questions and helped us book a car at the last minute when uber flaked.

This hotel is such a wonderful gem. Staff are super nice, rooms are very well-equipped, and the amenities are hands down the best. We booked a room with a private onsen which I highly highly recommend. It was so incredible after snowboarding all day and getting to relax in your own private onsen that has a view of the mountain. So beautiful. They have a locker room to store all your gear on the base floor that goes right out to the chairlift. So convenient. It's also in a great location, super close to restaurants and Ace Gondola. They gave us a bottle of champagne for our Anniversary which was so sweet. I guess other people say it seems old but I think it's super charming. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great place to soak in the sauna after a hard day on the ski runs. Good ski in ski out right by the family lift, and convenient locker 1 or 2 flight of stairs up depending on the room number. Proximity to the Main Street and ease of access to Seicomart for snacks or food trucks for affordable options. The hotel is pricey since we booked last minute, but likely more affordable options available if booked earlier.

Booked the deluxe room with private onsen. While having a private onsen was the best part of the room the rest of the room was subpar. The mattresses are very thin and are quite stiff making for restless nights, and the shower is outdated and could not adequately hold a single temperature at one time fluctuating throughout. The breakfast at the hotel is very minimal and last seating was at 9am which is the earliest I’ve seen at any hotel. It is understandable that most individuals will be trying to get on the mountain first thing, they should accommodate for a later breakfast time as some people may want to sleep in, especially after a heavy day of skiing. The ski in/ski out lockers are down a large flight of stairs then down more narrow stairs to get to the mountain, which is fine but they should put rubber matts on top of the concrete so guests don’t damage their equipment in the ski locker area. Hope they are able to continue to update their infrastructure to compete with newer properties and make the guest experience better.

Even though their lockers for ski in, ski out was down a set of stairs, once you store your items, it was within easy reach of a ski lift. The hotel itself is a bit dated but totally made up for by the convenient amenities and super friendly and helpful staff. The store inside had good selection of basics. While no microwave in the room, they had one in the lobby you can use. Booked a room with private onsen and the view of Mt Yotei was gorgeous!

Ideal base for skiing in Grand Hirafu, with ski in/ski out access to the Ace Family Lift and location is walkable to a good variety of food, shopping and ski hire options, as well as the King Gondola and Hirafu Welcome Centre. Staff were friendly and helpful, and buffet breakfast hit the spot each morning. Onsen was lovely after a day on the slopes too! We loved the view from our room, watching people ski down the Family Run. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Great ski in ski out location for Niseko Grand Hirafu. So convenient. Easy bus from Sapporo to the hirafu visitor center about a 5 minute walk away also. We loved the private onsen in our room. That turned out to be a highlight. Comfortable beds, clean room. The outside of the hotel looks a little rough. Needs a paint job but everything else was perfect!

We had a western room for December (final week of early season). It was cold. No idea whether it was just my room or the central air-conditioning/heater is down. The in-room heater was not sufficient to warm the room. Asked for different room but they said they are full booked. Booked this property in July, so I was rather disappointed to be given such room. Front counter gave us a portable heater. That did the work but that thing was constantly in the middle of the room so that we don’t sleep cold.

The onsen toilet is yucks. It reeks of urine smell. It’s horrible. And no slippers provided for the toilet….whenever I step into the toilet, it feels like I am stepping on pee stain then I walk all around the changing room. The hotel need to clean the toilet hourly or if not allow the patrons to wear slippers in the changing room. Oh and they don’t provide housekeeping daily. It’s every 3 days.

The plus point is, this hotel is near amenities and food. Less than 10mins walk to seicomart and other food options.

I have to break down to different parts while comparing with Niseko Grand Hotel (which I have stay for 5yrs before switching to Yumoto Niseko Prince hotel;.

Location: Good location Near Hirafu, but I need to walk about 200 meters with huge and large ski bag and luggage down and up the hotel as compared to Niseko Grand Hotel where the bus dropped me in front of the hotel. Rate 3/5

Price: Yumoto is more expensive than Niseko Grand Hotel because they charge extra cost to access to the Onsen. Niseko Grand Hotel Onsen is free.

Accessibility to Ski Resort: Yumoto can ski in/out at back of hotel, but Niseko Grand Hotel will have to wait from its schedule timed shutter bus which is very inconvenience for skier.

Friendliness of staff: The female staff (especially Ms. Kawaguchi) tend to be more patient and polite toward foreigner as compared to the 2 male staff.

Overall: 4/5. The hotel is in good location to ski and wondering around without worrying of the schedule bus if you stay away from the Ski Resort. If the price is good ($450 or lesser per night), this hotel can be returned to stay.

We would like to compliment the front office manager Mr Tamura for going out of his way to find the transport to go to the Gondola station for ski lessons. Great ski resort - you can ski right out of the hotel's ski storage area. It's also located next to the Hirafu welcome centre so convenient for buses and everything else in town. Lots of variety at the breakfast buffet, good place to load up before getting up the mountain. Then can't beat the apres ski onsen, what a great way to recover from all day skiing. The men's has a view of the slopes, while the ladies has a view of Mt Yotei. Amazing. We stayed in a Japanese room which was a little tired, but clean and enough room for the two of us. A bit cramped with the futon down. Rooms however are only cleaned by staff every four days, no big deal but would be good to get the bins emptied, towels changed etc. Futons were re-made every night.

Toshiros bar is fabulous. My western style room w private onsen was great. The bed was comfy too.

The staff is GOD AWFUL. Zero concept of service. Barely speak any English. I needed a cab in the morning, they called one company and said fully booked. I asked them to call another. She just stared at me and said all fully booked. Magically when I called a company I found a cab. Absolutely unacceptable. They have no shuttles anywhere, no form of transport help. They won’t help you get to and from the airport at all or even inform you. They just say no we don’t do, you find car or bus. What is that?!
I’d love to stay here again but I won’t because the service is abhorrent. I think it’s best to stick to private lodging or proper big hotels. Oh may I say, my room set me back $600 USD a night so this place isn’t cheap either.

The staff is friendly, beds are super comfortable, and slope side location is incredibly convenient for your ski holiday. Every rooom gets a Ski locker To store your gear downstairs so you don’t have to traipse it upstairs. The Public are allowed to use the onsen for a fee sobit can get busy in late afternoon. The building itself is a little dated and has some years on it but everything was in good working order. The breakfast buffet has a huge selection of both Traditional Japanese and western food.

We were charged about 1,500yen for accommodation and onsen taxes. Double futons were comfortable but the pillows. The 3 futons fit exactly the room without much extra space. We got up late for breakfast and went down at 9:15am (9:30am closing) and there was very little food left and they won't allow to refill too. We were only able to eat congee and 2 pieces of bread. One thing I like is the view from the dining hall. You can watch the skiing area from their big windows.

We found the Hirafuti hotel to be very comfortable. We booked a western style room with a private onsen and it was perfect. The room was very comfortable and we loved our beautiful view of the slopes from the tub. The staff was very helpful and many people spoke English which helped us a lot. We enjoyed the bar in the lobbey and the very easy access to skiing with the ski lockers. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and found that they had many great options. We never did have dinner at the hotel so i cant speak to that.This hotel was so convenient to everything! I would definitely recommend it. The only improvement i would offer is for a more comfortable lobby with more seating for people to gather.

Hotel building looks old from the outside as compared to other new developments nearby. However room is big for Japan standard. We are very happy with the room, cleanliness and amenities inside the room.

We took train from Sapporo to Kutchan station and took the public bus from Kutchan to the hotel. We alighted at Hirafu Welcome Centre and walk backwards to the hotel. Location of hotel is central. There is a nearby supermarket (walking distance).

We booked a huge room 64sqm enough for 4, although 2 of us are staying; because my son may join us.
We booked extra beds upfront.
We were held ransom when we checked in - it is NOT the room we booked, they say it is by the number of people - not size and no. of beds! We agreed to pay additional onsen tax, breakfast, but NO!
They want to charge us another USD1000 - my son is not allowed into the hotel.
Fortunately, his friend's wife at another hotel couldn't come and he joined him, or else he would be throw out in the streets! Hotel even asked where my son went to verify, to ensure he did not stay with us!
It is hurtful insult.

Shortchange
Breakfast at any hotel is normally at 7am so that we can start skiing at 8am - NOT ALLOWED.
We can only take breakfast at 8.30am because they had about 200 students at that time of our stay.
Again we were compromised without choice - they made the rules!

This place will make new rules unheard of by normal international standards.Avoid because you never know what new rules they will make against you.

The hotel is close to the Hirafu Welcome Centre where shuttle buses to the airport or Sapporo stop. It is a ski in/ski out hotel close to the Family chair lift. I booked a Japanese room with private onsen. It was very pleasing to relax in the private onsen after snowboarding for the whole day. The only problem was that there was no non-smoking room when I checked in end March. They did offer non-smoking room in peak season though.

Really enjoyed our stay. Food was great. We had half board for 4 days and never got bored. Staf were totally friendly and helpful. Next to the slopes so convenient. We had a room with outside bath which was fantastic except for being quite enclosed. Not the step-outside experience I was expecting. Only complaint was the size of the room. Why does it have to be so small when there is so much available space in Hokkaido? It's the kind of room size I'd expect in Tokyo!

A decent transitional Japanese hotel

In-room onsen was a nice touch after a long day of skiing , the ski lockers are a bit far from the main properties with many stairs to go. Getting the ski gears down those stairs are a bit tiring .
The hotel doesn't not offer shuttle services
There is an outdoor onsen tub which offers a nice view to the Yu-Tai mountain in the communal onsen area. I stayed at the Vale before I moved here, the two give a nice contrast of the westernized serviced apartment versus a more tranditional Japanese style hotel . Fairly pleasant stay , but if u want a more luxurious service and real ski in and out experience , the Vale prob is better.

Great location, standard Japanese room

Nice to stay few nights here, which is super well located in Niseko - Hirafu, with direct access to the family slope and 2-seater base chairlift. 10mn walk from Welcome Center where bus would drop you.
Hotel is a bit oldish but well maintained. Standard Japanese room is small and would be very tight for 4 persons! 2 is ok, tatami bed is installed every night around 7-8pm.
Bathroom is more a tiny cabin, but the point is to use the onsen on 3rd floor, which is quite good with external views on the slopes!
The main minus is that they charge 300 yen on top of the room, just be aware

Great smaller size hotel near skiing/snowboarding

We enjoyed the Japanese style rooms and private onsens in our rooms were so convenient. It was a truly unique experience that added an amazing memory to our trip.

Stayed in a japanese style room for the first time. For comforable and pleasant experience. Nice onsen. Ski storage available and you can ski down to the lift from the hotel. Good breakfast as well, plenty of options.

We had a great stay at the Niseko Prince Hotel. It is a very convenient location not only because it has ski in/ski out, is within walking distance to Grand Hirafu, the Hirafu Welcome Center, and the local shops & eateries; but also because of the on-site amenities (onsen, spa, ski lockers, ski/snowboard rental, restaurant serving breakfast buffet & dinner). I don't see much of a need to leave the hotel unless I really wanted to venture out to explore the town.

I also like the savings perks while staying here such as the discounted lift tickets and vouchers/coupons for guest conservation efforts (not daily room cleaning or bed making) which can be redeemed at the souvenir store, restaurant bar, or cafe.

Please note that it seems like much of their customer base appear to be smokers as options for non-smoking rooms are limited to twin and triple rooms. The staff was nice enough to lend me an air freshener spray to help with the odor.

Additionally, much of the hospitality staff is limited in English, so I'd recommend brushing up on your Japanese, pictionary abilities, or become somewhat proficient at using online translation apps/services.
