I stayed in the hotel for 20+ days in June 2025. The room was clean, well equipped and close to many good restaurants, grocery stores, the Metro, and shopping.

Eban and Paula, who worked the front desk were very friendly and very helpful.

I will stay there on my next trip to Madrid.

Tout était bien mis à part le processus de check-in à l'extérieur comme nous n'avions pas reçu notre numéro de réservation. Le processus est long et non-confidentiel étant donné que nous devons inscrire nos informations nominatives (no. passeport, adresse etc) sur un écran visible pour tous derrière nous. À notre avis, ce n'est pas digne d'un établissement de ce calibre. En regard de ce fait, nous émettons un bémol pour les autres visiteurs si la situation demeure la même.

Good hotel but major communication flaws if needed

This is hard to evaluate. The positive - convenient location for me, clean, spacious, all the necessary equipment. The not so great - which is not the necessarily the fault of the hotel - there was a party from other guests until 2 in the morning. It shouldn't be up to other guests to remind others about quiet hours and how to behave in hotels. This is accelerate by the shockingly bad automated check-in experience - no person, just a computer and the stepped process was not clear and faulty. No person to ask question and if you have multiple people checking in it takes ages. Furthermore, you only have a phone number to call when you have problems with other guests. In my case they triggered a fire alarm and had a party. This could easily be avoided with having staff on site. I don't like to give this hotel a bad review as it is a good place to stay. But this lack of personal and noise is a downer.

This property was really good. It has a really easy check in process and the staff are very friendly and was very understanding of us barely knowing English. I wish I could stay longer and I know the next time I stay in Madrid, it will be at this apartment hotel again.

Very close to the nearest metro station and very close convenience stores that stay open late.

Be prepared to buy your own seasonings and food but very spacious and very accommodating!

Cancelled my reservation and charged me double

The apartment was very spacious but still laid out very strangely. If you have the closet door open near the bathroom you can't open and close the hallway door. Not a big deal just really stupid. I found myself shaking me head at a lot of the ways the hotel is setup. I went to bed the first night and I looked down and saw several peanuts lying on the ground. Luckily I'm not allergic.
The bathrooms were mostly clean but it looked like the only toiletterie was the automatic soap dispenser and the wrapped bar of handsoap. I eventually found a sponge looking thing wrapped the same way the handsoap was but it was laying in a random closet. The bidet did NOT look clean and I was appalled that they would leave something like that unclean. I took a tissue to see if it was a stain or rust and immediately regretted my decision. Repulsive.
The worst part, and the reason I am even leaving a review, is because I made two bookings; I accidentally made a booking for one night instead of three. Hotels.com just told me to book two more nights and let the hotel know. Cool. They decided to cancel the second reservation completely but still respected the first booking. However they increased the room rates. I ended up being charged double the price for the 2nd and 3rd night even though I booked in advance. What a sleazy place.

The location was perfect, and the staff was more than helpful, and friendly. The room was very clean, and spacious.
The location was excellent, a 5 minute walk to a Metro station. The neighborhood was quiet, with 3 grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. Highly recommend the Aparthotel G3 Galeón!

I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years. The staff is helpful and friendly and the apartment style is great for longer stays. It is a little away from the heavy tourist areas, but with easy access to all Madrid by bus or metro. A great, reasonably priced hotel.

Booked this as we wanted the flexibility of being able to do basic self-catering, breakfasts for kids etc.
As per the title it did the job, it was basic but functional. As with everything you get what you pay for this was €338 for four nights for a family of four.
Plus points:
* Clean and cleaned daily.
* Quiet & safe.
* Located close to main metro line to the city centre.
Against:
- Heating and air conditioning system, would not want to stay in summer heat or winter cold temperatures.
- Very basic standard of furnishings.
- Open cable junction box in bathroom and other choice electrical fittings.
- Very basic beds.
- No provision for washing up i.e. no liquid, cloth or tea towel.
- Chipped and cracked crockery.
- Noisy fridge
- Not much locally in way of eating establishments. Average area.

Great experience. Staff was very friendly, they wait for us since our check in was at midnight,
The room was very clean, has a lot of space, kitchen, mini fridge (very usefull)... Overall we recomend the hotel, no doubts about it.

Talking about the location, it as good... Puerta de Alcala and Gran Via are 30 minutes walking from the hotel... Very average, good location.

In general, if u dont mind either walk 30 minutes to the city or pay a taxi, best choise is this hotel.

We stayed four nights. It was a challenge to find the location on a side street.
Reception desk help was great. Management does accept pets. We had an instance of a barking dog on upper floor. Parking garage in the basement would have been very convenient if we'd needed it. Didn't visit 4th floor, but was told that they have there a casual area with ice machine, vending machines, work-out machines, and breakfast buffet area. (Breakfast costs extra).

Great apartment, enjoyed my stay

My room was clean, the twin bed was comfortable and I was pleased with the size of the apartment. I wasn't pleased that there was no cleaning equipment in the kitchen, not even a cloth to clean the dishes. The shower pressure was good, bit fiddly getting the temperature right.

The hotel was in a quiet area but plenty of shops close by, partially loved Lidl bring a 5 minute walk north on the main road! The metro and bus stops are close by which was very handy. The staff are all very friendly and understand English, which is great because my Spanish is limited.

Don't plan to use the gym tho, I wanted to but it only contained a step machine, stationary bike and weight machine. The weight machine can do pull downs and flys but there is limited space in the room and it was far too warm for comfort.

Overall, great apartment and I enjoyed my stay but there are improvements that could make it amazing. If I ever go back to Madrid, I would happily stay here again

Great hotel for repeat travelers

This apartment style hotel is on a quiet side street, but close to shopping of all sorts, grocery stories, bus and metro lines. There is not much staff turnover, so repeat travelers truly feel personally welcomed. The kitchenette, and lay out of the apartments makes for a homey feel.

The rooms were clean. No A/C. Kitchen had no dish detergent, dish towels or paper towels. We stayed for 4 nights (on our vacation) and we didn't feel we should have to go to the store and purchase these basics. Wifi was great! Staff was excellent help and friendly. It's about 10 euros cab ride from the Palace and Plaza de Oriente. OK neighborhood if you can walk. The rooms should have some take away menus from the neighborhood and also recommended restaurants within walking distance.

Close to the metro station. It is very easy to get main attraction places (e.g. 10 min. away from Del Sol square by metro and 20 min. from the Santiago Barnebeu Stadium by walking). This hotel shows photos on his page that don't show the real place. The gym is useless, old and dangerous to be used. The rooms are small and dated. Kitchen is old and stove useless, very low heat that makes it impossible to cook anything. Just good to warm up things. The rooms are small and dark. The situation of the hotel makest the rooms dark. Safety box you pay. Washing dishes in kitchen you do. Cookware very small. Location far from center. Metro is close but 1/2 hour to get to center of Madrid thar makes it tiring. Area of the hotel is in a small street next to one of the most busiest streets in Madrid- Tetuan. On the other hand is a decent $ if you book it right. Breakfast doesn't have warm food, only cold. Uncomfortable hotel and upsetting the way they publsh it.

Quiet, out of the way apthotel in Madrid

Reception was very nice and helpful, especially the first night when I arrived in the middle of the morning due to a flight delay. The room was large and decorated fine however there are chips on almost all the furniture and on the walls, the kitchen is old as is the bathroom. The sofa was very soft and I sunk in. The bed was a bit hard. Everything seemed to need renovation and new life. The hotel had a very large terrace which I didn't expect. Keep in mind, the neighborhood which has all conveniences (metro, cafes, shops etc..) no doubt seemed rundown and not the nicest area in Madrid. Also, I wouldn't recommend if you are first visiting Madrid, it is too far out for major sites.

Aparthotel G3 Galeon is a small apartment hotel with a very good central location in Madrid. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and refurbished from my last visit 3/4 years ago. Though, the breakfast is not very elaborate and it would be good if they can at least include eggs, made to order. The other thing which needs improvement is the elevators.They also need some trolleys for luggage movement and new linen, especially the bath towels. The bathrooms can also do with some maintenance and renovation.Overall a pleasant apartment hotel, which can be much better, with minor changes as suggested.

I would recommend it

I was there for Real Madrid match. The stadium is 20 minutes walking distance. Very nice and friendly staff. The room is large and in good condition. There was no air condition so I felt little hot although i was there at the end of October, so i wonder how I could stand it if it was July or August.

The room was nicely designed, in a different era, but renovated in the recent past so that it was clean, neat, and fresh looking with lots of light from tall windows. Hotel personnel were very friendly and provided helpful information. We paid to have laundry done there, which was a convenient and helpful service. The breakfast was only \"continental,\" so less substantial than what we received in other locations. I would not pay additional for the breakfast again, but would otherwise recommend the hotel.

Our unit - 403 - was clean, quiet and comfortable. The 24-hour front desk personnel were extremely helpful and fluent in English. Daily room service was included which is unusual in an apartment hotel. Two minutes to the Tetuan metro, five to the Mercadona supermarket, 20 to Sol and downtown. Surrounded by small bars, restaurants and other services. Kitchen facilities suitable for light meal preparation - addition of a toaster would help. Area felt safe - a suburban area with very little English \"on the street\". Would certainly return.

Decent hotel near the Bernabéu stadium and shops

Apartments converted into hotel rooms, still have a living room separate from the bed and bathroom, with a small kitchenette station, includes kitchen utensils. The staff is friendly and helpful for any needs. Within walking distance of the Bernabéu stadium, and located in a blue-collar neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants.

Great location, large suite

Our stay for a couple of night was excellent. Large rooms/suite with comfortable bed, and the internet was fairly quick. The location is nice that it is on the outskirts of Madrid, but close to a Metro stop that takes you directly to the city centre. The parking garage below is as tight as any I have ever been in, but it was secure. I will definitely be back.

The apartment was very spacious, had great cooking facilities and was an easy walk to the Metro. The staff was fantastic, all spoke English and were very helpful.

Good Hotel on a budget.

Room was fine. I thought that the kitchenette facilities were okay, but would be helpful to include some supplies to clean the dishes and pots. Our plates were still greasy from the previous visitor.

Great hotel

Stayed here before and found the hotel great value for money. The staff are really friendly and always willing to help a confused tourist! The rooms are a great size and the side street on which the hotel is situated is quiet but still close to shops and a bakery.

Great hotel for family

I have no complaints of this hotel, other than the fact is it in fact a bit far from the city! It is about 20 mins through subway to city center, which isn't a big deal for me for the added comfort of the room.

It has a stove and it is very spacious. Also has free wifi in the rooms, which was very helpful for us. A market is very close by so you can buy everything to cook! However, there is a lack of restaurants or young night life nearby. It is more in the suburbs.

The staff is very nice and helpful! They helped with recommendations, translations, etc.

Ideal for people that want to taste the real Spain

We spent 7 days in Madrid and the hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Easy acces to a lot of stores: bakeries, grocery stores, farmers market, electronics, everything within 100 - 200 meters (yards) and quick and reliable connections with the city center by subway (metro). The wireless connection work without any problems.

The personnel speaks perfect English and help us with everything we needed. Even with sending a package to some friends in Valencia. Really nice people.

Ideal for people that want to taste the real Spain, in a non-expensive , quiet environment.

Great hotel for football and seeing Madrid

We stayed here with our two children aged 8 because it offered 2 separate rooms, a small kitchen area and because it was close to the Bernebeu where we went to see a match. It was perfect for what we wanted. The room was clean and airy - perhaps the bathroom could do with a bit of updating but there was lots of hot water which is far more important! The hotel is in a great location, fantastic bakery round the corner plus a supermarket so we were able to have breakfast in the room and also make packed lunches for the day. The football stadium is a 15 minute walk away, perfect for when the game ends, and the centre of Madrid is only a few stops on the metro, the station for which is right by the hotel. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for clean, good value accommodation and, like us, value being in a separate room from your children!

Pros: Support staff at the hotel were excellent. They tried to address deficiencies in the Hotel.com advertisement, but it would have required moving the family twice in a 3 night stay. Con: Hotel.com Ad stated a 699 sqft room with a queen bed, 2 single beds and separate sitting area that had a pull-out sofa. This room does not exist in the hotel.

Excellent place to stay in northern Madrid

The room is actually a mini one bedroom apartment, although pretty small in size, it still has a little kitchen with everything you need. The room was very clean and quiet, bed comfortable, bathroom of good size. Reception guys were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located in a very commercial area, just steps from major Bravo Murillo street, a minute walk to Tetuan metro station. Very convenient to public transport. Direct metro line, 10-15 minutes to the centre. Just in front of the hotel is an excellent Asturian restaurant. Several other bars and restaurants are within the same block. A couple of supermarkets and an excellent bakery are within a five minutes walk. Overall, it would be difficult to find an area with higher density of local businesses in Madrid.

The best value for money accomodation option we ever found in Madrid, highly recommended.

Great hotel in Madrid

Since it is not in downtown Madrid, you can go to places that are local instead of full of tourists.
The hotel is great, clean and everyone is nice and it is close to the Tetuan metro station.
