Been trying to contact the hotel for months before the stay and no answer. Not Spanish not English not even local friends could get in touch. Make the no refund feel like a scam when you have no contact whatsoever with the hotel especially in another country.

Breakfast was okay but not the variety that a person from the US would expect but it was definitely a Colombian breakfast. I wish they would have had more choices in breakfast juices. This was overall a very nice hotel though and I like it because it's kind of on the older side but it's cozy and away from a lot but it's close enough to a small Mall.

The front desk staff was very accommodating! This was a big change since my last visit. Of course the housekeeping was good along with the gentleman that help you with your luggage. The only reason I don't give this five star is strictly due to breakfast. Breakfast was minimal in my opinion when comparing it to the other places that I've stayed. Overall I was very happy with this hotel on this trip.

Realmete la limpieza de la habitación estuvo buen , lo malo es que las personas que limpian la habitacion se roban las ropa de los huéspedes se llevaron 2 franelas y una faja. Mi maleta la abrí y la cerre en la havitacion al llegar a casa y busques mis prenda de vestir no estaban que molesta estoy que el hotel tengan personas trsbajando que tengan malas manas y mi referencia para el hotel terreroble.

I didn't have the breakfast because I was not enamored with the variety or the breakfast that they had so I just skipped it. They put me in a room that was an afterthought because again when I paid for a suite they initially try to give me a regular room which means something is wrong with the reception because this is the second time I order one type of large room but they tried to put me in a small room. I've noticed that I've had this problem with each visit. I specifically asked for a room with a bathtub which their website says they have but they gave that room to someone else so my experience was bad when it comes to the reception and the type of rooms they've been giving me. Each time they had to send somebody to put things in the room that wasn't there and the room was in poor condition. It was obvious that they put me in a spot that was an afterthought once I told them that they need to correct the mistake from putting me in a regular room when I paid for a suite. Housekeeping and the porters were good and friendly. It's sad that they have to bear the brunt of a bad review because of the service of the reception. I did not know why the reception keeps putting me in regular rooms instead of the sweet that I paid for and reserved.

Restaurant service is awful. Little things that could be solved easily but exist due to staff shortage! no napkins at tables, you have to search for sugar, salt. Constantly requesting staff to supply coffee mugs, butter, utensils. Don't think it's the kitchen staff as they are seen hustling, they just need to add personnel. A person in charge of it and at the restaurant who could notice this small things happening would easily solve this issues. I saw many patrons upset about this.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!
The first thing they went wrong was that I rented a junior suite but they didn't have it available when I got there. They put me in a regular room even though I paid for a junior suite. The porter is the one that helped get me into a bigger room. The bed was very uncomfortable in that room and I woke up sore everyday. They have better rooms so I cannot explain why this makes up happened. The maids service or cleaning ladies. The porter is the only reason I am writing this is high as I did because he was that excellent and bailed them out of a worse rating. I'll try going back there one more time when I come back and see if anything improved but for now this is why I rated it the way that I did.

I rented a suite hoping and expecting to get the best they had. Well, TV didn't display any color which I am sure they knew about!! shower water strength was poor, toilet leaked . This place used to be one of the best in bquilla but it seems that they only want to squeeze as much money out of it as possible, without re-investing any back! Only great thing about this place is it's location and both the security and the reception staff. Can;t beat the location.

Can't operate a restaurant with 2-3 people out front serving and cleaning. not fair to the restaurant staff because they are the ones taking the heat for poor management!! I had a reservation for 2 but a staff member wanted to charge me extra for taking a meal to my room when there was actually no tables ready as they were all taken or not cleaned of used plates!! door to my room was very hard to close-open and I warned them that if it broke that I did not want to be blamed - well it took them more than 6 days to fix! they don't allow visitors to go to your room and its not due to security reasons, its done for money! they will charge you 40K pesos PP even if that person simply goes up for an hour to visit you. Security can be satisfied by simply registering that person using their personal identification like other surrounding hotels do! crazy changes at this hotel which I believe will cause me to NOT stay there again!

Very old and outdated property. We ended moving to a much better hotel after the first night but should have left right away but it was late. We got to our rooms and they smelled musty and the bathrooms smelled like sewage. The room walls and doors were dirty and everything was very old. We found a ball of chewed up gum on the inside door handle, no fridge in our room that was supposed to be there, no toilet seat, our safe didn't work, the shower drain didn't drain and filled the tub up very quickly, the sink taps were almost impossible to turn on, the air-conditioner barely worked and the room did not cool down. The elevator was disgusting and probably hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if that!
Our friends had pretty much the same issues in their room but had a fridge and toilet seat, but no hairdryer.
This hotel needs major renovations and I would not recommend unless that is what you're looking for.

Should be rating themselves 2 stars, despite having three!! Taps to use in the shower , all were cold water. The air conditioning is ancient and only blows air, it does not cool the room. Rooms basic with old furniture and no fridge. Despite my partner going out with friends and me staying in the room alone one evening. I was harassed by security asking how many people were in my room (I was alone). Breakfast not exciting. They serve pink meat that looks like dog food. The highlight was the pool which we took use of with friends who we were visiting in Barranquilla.

It was filthy there was black mold on the walls in the room.The lobby was filled with what looked like homeless transients.There we’re whole drywall panels missing from the walls in the hotel.I took many pictures and will be filing a chargeback with my credit card company as I was forced to stay in a different hotel.We spent 30 minutes in this hotel and it was disgusting.

First the check in took forever the front desk attendant got on the phone and make us wait about 7 to 10 minutes while he dealt with an un coming guest over phone I had to literally asked him to please put the phone down and finish my check in. Mind me it was 11p and my son was asleep on my wife arms. Hotel is older and it really show in the rooms it has mildew smell and rooms are outdated.
Bed are extremely hard even my 8 year old said so himself and he can sleep on top of a rock, but the worst came in the am we were a family of 8 I had 2 rooms went to breakfast and the server there got verbal with my wife because we were eating too much and that we had to pay an extra fee we had 4 kids and 4 adults they took 15 minutes to bring coffee to the table and he was extremely rude to my family. We will never stay here again and do not recommend this property at all there are so many options in Barranquilla I just wanted to change I stay in Barranquilla every weekend.
