We arrived after midnight due to a late flight and customs. The hotel was nice but our room in the back was run down and sparse with limited amenities. The room was at least three decades past an update. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast and the staff and service was great. Prices in the gift shop were not clearly marked and the clerk tried to sell me a small bottle of water for $6 US dollars.

We arrived late and booked a stay to spend the night. Very close to the airport, Rooms were clean and the staff quickly accommodated an extra bed free of cost for our Party of 6, bathroom was clean but it does need some maintenance.
Included breakfast was ok, I will not pay extra for that breakfast buffet. Our kids used the pool before checkout and it was really nice.
Since we arrived late there was no food available or room service therefore we walked outside to a nearby Mcdonalds.

Staff were kind, enjoyed food at sports bar and airport shuttle. Breakfast restaurant too expensive and cafe cart did not open until 10am. Bathroom needs better cleaning and no hot water for showering. Place seems it would have been great 10 years ago. Maybe would stay again after remodel.

Clean room. Nice pool area. Reliable shuttle to the airport. Great bell man service. Hot tub was cold. Outside bar/restaurant closed by 5pm on a Saturday. Coffee shop closed at 6 on Saturday and didnt open till after 845am on Sunday. Lastly rooms have thin walls and you hear everything in the hallway.
Just saying all this so others are aware.

This is a very old hotel, and the lack of an elevator is already a significant drawback. What makes it worse is how poorly this is handled by the staff. Despite arriving with two toddlers, a large stroller, and multiple pieces of luggage, we were assigned a room on the second floor with no assistance or consideration. That alone shows a clear lack of empathy and basic hospitality.
At a minimum, situations like this should be anticipated and accommodated—whether by prioritizing ground-floor rooms or offering proper help. Instead, the experience felt indifferent and poorly managed.
Overall, the combination of outdated facilities and the staff’s disregard for guest circumstances makes this place hard to recommend.

It looked like they built a fancy new front on a cheap hotel from the 70’s. The bathroom was gross, but not just like it wasn’t clean, like decades of wear and scale. They had no elevator to the room, and everything past the lobby was really dated. I was honestly shocked his was under a banner like Wyndham.

Nos llevamos la mala experiencia que el check in era a las 3pm y nos hicieron esperar hasta casi las 5pm porque no estaban disponibles, y el personal se mostraba bastante estresado por la cantidad de personas con el mismo inconveniente y no fueron muy empaticos con los huéspedes.
El hotel está un poco deteriorado, hay pasillos con alfombras en muy mal estado!
El desayuno muy bueno y muy surtido

Our bathroom tap was broken. Couldn’t run the water at all, I think the censor was broken. And the shower head was broken and only a small stream of water was coming out. Our coffee machine also was broken had to hold down the buttons for it to work.

Overall a good stay, and excellent breakfast. The lobby experience, which was very nice, does not match the room experience however. Our room was very dated but still clean. This property also offers a selection of restaurants as well. Staff were friendly and the free shuttle to the airport was great and timely.

Check in was the slowest I have ever experienced. Check in at hotels should be quick and easy after a long travel day.. this was the exact opposite!
Paid for a king room and was given a room with 2 queen beds and when I showed my reservation was told it’s because they are full!? I reserved it.. why bother to offer room types if you don’t honour them?
The bed was the worst I have ever slept on. The springs were poking into our backs and the mattress was so worn out it was awful. It’s ok for a quick stay but I wouldn’t return for more than one night. The shuttle to the airport was nice perk so good for a night before or after a flight

Rooms were dated. Windows did not completely close. Beds were clean air conditioning was good. I do not know if there were elevators to any other rooms but we had to go up and downstairs. They were a little unsteady and we are in our 70s.
The worst part of it all was no hot water! That is the worst after a long day of traveling.
The breakfast was very good and had a lot of variety. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I booked this hotel under the impression that it was a 4 star hotel. I was extremely disappointed upon entry. The property is old and low quality. The breakfast was disappointing and the hotel was just overall boring. I will say that the staff were nice but I would not recommend. I left a day early

Por otro lado, el personal es excelente, amables y respetuosos, le doy un 10. El desayuno es muy bueno!

This resort is an older resort but the quality of care they give is unmatched . The friendly kind staff go beyond their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.The food was fresh well season and good . If you’re coming from America the flavor of the food will just explode in your mouth with flavor . Definitely would go back if a chance presented it self the sun rise and sun set is truly beautiful. It was a much needed trip .

This hotel is bad need of maintenance. Broken tiles to walk on. Broken tiles in all the pools, likely easy to get cut. Rooms are aged and not in great condition. At the time of my visit, hot water wasnt working and worse staff didn't advise me of this at checkin.
Avoid this hotel.

Cons. The airport should explained better, I didnot know you had to book the shuttle, so I booked for 8pm and was told if our flight was late there would be one at 9:45. Wrong after a taxi, the front desk gave us breakfast voucher.
The coffee machine is a joke! Maintenance needs fone our toilet didn't flush right and the patio door was very to locked due to the fact the locking assembly was almost falling off.

Some things to note: They provide shampoo/conditioner (not separate), bar soap, and their hairdryers are not optimal, the shower in my room did not get hot (not even warm), if your room is near the breakfast area, it will be loud in the morning. The pool area is really nice with a swim up bar. They also have a little games area with a pool table. The staff are all super helpful and the property was very clean.

The pools were so clean and so great, stayed here for our last night in Costa Rica to be close to the airport for our early flight! The hotel had an airport shuttle that dropped us off and we avoided having to order a taxi or uber. The staff was great and helpful, will definitely stay here again!

This was my very first and definitely not my last time at this spot. From thecmoment I got there to the moment I left, was treated like a queen. Vip Tours helped me out more than enough w info and shuttle service amd scheduling my apt w the spa. If youre thinking about it jus book. You will not regret. And make sire to get the breakfast. The lobby was nice. The outdoor pool is cleaned would be amazing. There is not a Jacuzzi. But a kitty pool rather that may be slightly warmer than the actual pool. There is quite a bit of unfinished construction in the building. Horribly dirty floors. Our room was not ready for 2 1/2 hours after check-in. However, the front desk gave us a $60 credit to use at one of their restaurants which is actually pretty good. The beds are decent. They were unable to provide towels.

After we checked in with Simon, who was very kind and thorough, we were greeted by Marvin who assisted us with our bags to our room. Marvin was super friendly, kind and helpful. We had been traveling for hours from Jaco and were very interested in getting a meal. We went to the hotel restaurant and thankfully the host told us that if we wanted to order food, due to only one chef being present we would have to wait for 45 minutes. We asked one of the concierge people outside who told us about the restaurants in the plaza across the highway. On foot we were able to cross the bridge and ended up getting food from one of those restaurants. Once we returned to the hotel I requested some face cloths, waited for a long while and they did not come. I requested again and was initially only given large bath towels. I requested again and was brought hand towels and was told that there were no more face towels at that moment. It was already late in the evening and we had a flight the next day. We checked in on the \"hot tub\" which we understood to be a \"hot tub\" but was cool water. Attempting to sleep was terribly loud due to the passing traffic on the highway. The windows and the wall behind us shook with the wind, the curtains were old and needed to be changed to black-out curtains or at the minimum be custom fit so the high beam lights from the outside did not peer inside our windows.

Breakfast was very good and did not disappoint. The airport shuttle was also great.

This was not up to the standard of a Wyndham in general and certainly not what was advertised. There were no hot tubs. None of the restaurants were functional, and the place was extremely understaffed. The staff for room service was extremely overworked doing other hotel maintenance and therefore there was really no room service available. I ended up having to download and order from a delivery app. I also ordered a to go breakfast because of Ramadan and initially I was told they couldn’t accommodate, despite the fact that breakfast was included in my reservation. I was only provided miscellaneous nuts, one apple, and one bottle of water. There was also no ability for me to make tea or have a hot bath because my bath would not stay full. The tub was also pretty disgusting. There were bits of paint chips and black anti-slip tape littering it. My goal was to stay at a relaxing 3 star hotel before my 12 hour journey home, and I wasn’t even able to take a hot bath enjoy a mug of hot tea or have a proper breakfast. Not to mention the fact that one of the staff was extremely unprofessional and put their hands on me twice after invading my personal space . When I made complaints about all of these things, the on-site “human resources“ staff was beyond unhelpful. The entirety of the experience was beyond disappointing.

This place is horrible and has no customer service! Would not recommend this place to anyone. I fell and nobody said sorry asked if I was ok or offered a dr. I was told a manager would talk with me today at 10 then they are in meetings all day. Now they have to send in a request for possibly gettin their insurance to go to the dr. That should have been offered at the time of the fall not the next day when I have to catch a flight
