Great location, reception staff super friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault them.

Rooms are pretty small, air conditioning unit was poor, didn’t really have an impact and was cooler to sleep with the balcony door open! Rooms were not hugely soundproof.

Housekeeping was a bit poor. Had to keep going down to reception for things the housekeeping didn’t top up e.g. milk, shower gel, even toilet paper!

Wonderful hotel, great location, friendly staff

We absolutely loved staying at La Corniche. The hotel is really well placed for the beaches of Mourillon and also only 20 mins walk to the harbour, plus there is a bus service.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and responded positively to any requests or questions.
There was a nice little bar where we enjoyed a cocktail and in the morning an express breakfast.
Our room was a good size with a view of the sea
The terrace/ garden was very pretty and peaceful and there was also space to work.
Although next time we visit Toulon we will be going self-catering we intend to spend at least one night at La Corniche as we enjoyed it so much.

we were very disappointed with this hotel and in our opinion definitely not a 4 star hotel. our room was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in. The bed creaked on every move,air conditioning the noisiest I have heard, Staff at reception were good, never saw anyone else.

Loved every minute. Hotel was great old meets new - the outdoor old but inside modern and very clean. Electric shutters so you have complete darkness and get a sound sleep. The ocean with small boots is across the road and the towns 5mins and 20mins walk depending on what you want to see. Breakfast good at the hotel is option as there are plenty other places to eat at. Try the restaurant on the beach the food out of this world and the service amazing.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and had a wonderful sea view room. This time the photo shown on Hotels.com was of a sea view room. We arrived and were given a room on the other side facing an ugly alley/parking Lot. No sea view! We complained and were told they were sold out. They gave us free breakfast as compensation but we paid a lot of money for an ugly room. Then we noticed a big stain on our bedding. They switched it out promptly for clean bedding and apologized. We were very disappointed in the property this time especially since we had such a positive experience 4 years ago. The breakfast is serve yourself buffet. It was not replenished and very picked over by 9 am. We had to park on the street since their lot was full and carry our own bags with no Assistance. It’s not 4 star service.

Our room was directly off the main lobby, so some noise from the coming and going guests but overall a nice room. Parking is very difficult as it is only street parking and you must be good at driving on tiny roads very fast.

We went to Toulon to watch Bath Rugby. The hotel was excellent with great staff. It is better placed (near the beach) for summer than winter. Ask for a room with a sea view.
An excellent restaurant within a few minutes walk - Le Lido - worth a visit.

Very comfortable hotel at quieter side of Toulon directly in front of St Louis harbour and fort. Short walk to the beaches and park with restaurants and bars. Longer walk to main marina and Stade Mayol. Used couple of times for rugby trips and a great choice.

We were upgraded from a standard triple to a suite with two doubles. Great views of the coast from the balcony. Staff were helpful and friendly. Surfboards available to hire and a nice seating area, hidden from the road.

Five minutes walk from the beach, and from a row of restaurants. Two minutes from a shop and boulanger.

Would stay again, even without the upgrade.

Very pretty hotel. Friendly English speaks big staff dressed very nicely as well. Pretty design and entry with lush courtyard. Very nice halls and lobby area. Bathroom modern and well appointed but odd was not carried through into the room. Breakfast good in am but expensive. Parking is difficult. Not sure about area- felt a bit urban as did the beaches. Some nice streets adjacent.

First class stay in the charismatic town of Toulon. This hotel is ideally situated overlooking the beach which is about 15 minutes walk or a short taxi ride from the city centre, the harbour, and from Stade Mayol - the reason for our visit. We elected for a sea view room with a balcony overlooking the sea which was delightful. The room was fairly compact, spotlessly clean, well equipped and was perfect for our stay.The rooms contains tea making facilities and a small minibar/fridge. We were far happier staying here in more tranquil surroundings than in the city centre itself. The hotel is family run exuding style and class, the management and staff excellent and exceedingly helpful. Breakfast was served in the salon overlooking the beach and was good. We ate at 'Le Gros Ventre' which was very good.There is on-street parking around the hotel. We only stayed for 2 nights which was a mistake. We came for the rugby (Amazing experience - thoroughly recommended even for neutrals) and I had visions of a scruffy naval port - how wrong I was.Toulon is a big bustling town with plenty to see, a picturesque harbour and a very pleasant beach area. We only had enough time to scratch the surface; we plan to return and when we do, we will stay again at this hotel.

Wonderful service, brilliant location!

Despite a couple of small \"hiccups\" at check-in and check-out, I have to rate this boutique hotel on the waterfront in Toulon very highly, mainly due to the absolutely wonderful service provided by the reception staff, and of course its amazing location right overlooking the fisherman's harbor and out to sea. Make sure you ask for a sea view room though, as when I checked in, I was given a back room on the ground floor with a view of the back street #although I had booked a sea view room#. The problem was very quickly resolved. Again on check-out, there was a new member of staff and they charged me for the room again #even though prepaid#, but quickly rectified their mistake.
All through our stay there, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient #which is not always the case in French hotels#, the hotel was very clean and obviously well managed. It is in a perfect location overlooking the ocean, has a great little bar, and just a 10 minute walk in either direction to excellent restaurant areas on the waterfront. A 3 star hotel with 5 star service and location.

Great for rugby supporting visitors to Toulon

A lovely small 'boutique' type hotel, tucked away in a quiet area overlooking a small harbour and just a few minutes walk from the beach, Lido and a good selection of restaurants. We were there for a rugby match at Stade Mayol which was a 15min walk away.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English.
We had breakfast in the hotel which was a cold / continental type and a good selection. A little expensive at 14euro, but probably the going rate for hotels.
The private car park is a small wooden 'lock up' type garage so the car was off the street and secure.
Would definitely go back. We had a sea view with small balcony - very pleasant.

Best Western - Toulon

The La Corniche is a good hotel with a great position in Toulon. If you nook a sea view room the view from your balcony is magnificent and picture postcard. The hotel is out of the town centre but can still be reached in a reasonable 20 minute walk or 10 minutes on the bus. Area around the hotel is fine and the beaches are very good just across the road from the hotel entrance. Certainly a hotel to be recommended.

J'ai pris une chambre classique et j'ai été très déçue.
Clairement j'ai eu l'impression de dormir dans la chambre de bonne, bruyante, impossible douvrir la fenêtre sans être vue par les passants dans la rue , aucune intimité , du moisi dans la salle de bain, le parquet abîmé , mal posé !
C'est une honte de louer une chambre comme ça a 110€ la nuit !

Cet hôtel ne mérite pas ces 4 étoiles. 2 étoiles lui conviendrais mieux. Assenceur trop petit pour 2 personnes avec une valise.
Pour le parking, vous devez être accompagné par une personne de l'Hôtel à chaque arrivée ou sorti avec votre véhicule pour qu'il vous ouvre la barrière.
On vous annonce le petit déjeuné à 20 euros alors qu'il est affiché dans les chambres à 18 euros. Petit déjeuné avec peu de choix pour le prix.
Nous ne reviendrons certainement pas dans cet hôtel.

The room was somewhat small and it did not have a balcony as it seemed in the picture. The facilities were alright in the hotel and it was clean. But the room was uncomfortably HOT - we had obviously not even turned on the heating. Opening the window made it less hot, but also noisy and even at the end of november, mosquitoes got into the room and made sleep impossible.

Ci sono stati problemi con la prenotazione di Expédia. Abbiamo pagato per due notti ma l’hotel aveva disponibilità per una sola e gli addetti hanno dovuto faticare per non spostarci in un altro hotel. L’hotel in sé è carino ma la camera piccolissima e con vista parcheggio non valeva certo il prezzo che abbiamo pagato.
