Unbeknownst to me, the breakfast (which was mentioned on the Hotels.com website....WAS UNAVAILABLE due to \"renovations.\" Wow. When I arrived, my bed was UNMADE. My room....was in HORRIBLE shape, with paint spattered in tub, visible ceiling patching, etc. When I arrived back late to my room, THERE WAS SOMEONE SLEEPING IN AN OUTDOOR WALKWAY ON THE CONCRETE, covered with a blanket.
I'm very cheap when I travel, so I've stayed in some doozies...but THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE.
Just TURRRRRIBLE.

I'm sorry to say, The Grand is nothing even close to its name. It should be named The Disgusting. The pictures online are nothing like the rooms in person. First, the door to my room didn't fully seal. There was an opening where light still came in. The window covering was just a thin paper pull down. It didn't darken the room at all, when trying to sleep. While I stayed there, I saw at least 4 roaches. The television didn't offer local channels, just Amazon Fire TV. The only things I could say nice about this place was the staff were friendly and the bed itself was very comfortable. Basically, it's a place to sleep. Nothing more. It really needs to be condemned, dozed down, and rebuilt to a better
\"motel.\"

This was by far the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. And to be told by the front desk that I get what i pay for. 1st, I reserved 2 rooms with king beds and got 2 double beds. Ok whatever fine. Then you get to the rooms. Stale cigarette smell, bugs, the sheets and towels visually dirty. Floor sticky and dirty. Cigarette marks all over the sinks and tubs. Garbage under the bed, bug carcasses. Tub so dirty i felt like showering would make me dirtier. The door was dirty, duck tapped and nog secure. Neighbors yelling all night with no interference from the front desk. Listed for breakfast (as per search stipulation) and has no breakfast despite even having a sign in front for it. Absolutely disgusting

The staff were amazing. I have zero complaints about the staff. My issues is that it was never reported on the hotels.com app that this hotel was going through major renovations. I had booked a king non smoking but because of the renovations, i was stuck with 2 doubles and it was a a smoking room. The door to the room was damaged, it latched but did not close completely. The inside door handle was surrounded by duct tape. I did not sleep well because of the issue with the door. We were traveling from PA to College Station, TX because my step daughter was graduating. It was late and we were too exhaused to look for another one.

1st room 107 had a cockroach, on the night stand. I got transferred to another room next door and it had roaches also. The bed linen had not been changed also. I had to sleep on top of the bed, I had been on the road for 10 hours, and was too exhausted to get moved again. The staff were nice, but unfortunately the state of the premises let everything down.

If you love cold showers and less than secure rooms, this is the place for you. Our room had paper stuck in the peep hole as the peep hole was literally an open hole. The deadbolt was very rattly like it was barely in the frame. And forget any other lock or chain. Also lots of space around the door that someone in the know could have easily unlocked the door from the inside. No hot water in the sink or shower. The curtain / shade blocks people from looking in, but definitely did nothing to block the light. (See pic of dark room) Roaches noted in the room as well.

Reservation system notes continental breakfast. That is a lie. Staff noted that the breakfast hasn't happened in over a year because \"we are waiting on our juice machine to arrive.\" Ice machine is the same, but it probably would have been less than clean if they did have one.

The staff was friendly and the bed was ok, but the other problems outweigh those.

The pictures looked nothing like the facility. The room was dirty, dingy, the lights in the bathroom didn't work, the sheets and towels where stained. The walls where stained, the curtains where stained. The light by the bed was so hot it burned my hand to turn it off. There where multiple roaches in the room. The room smelled like bug spray. The floor was warped and uneven. The cops where there twice in one night to arrest derelicts. The entire facility was grimy and dirty. Its evident the owner has no care for his clientele. My friend got sick from the room smelling like bug spray. I didn't even want to take a shower as the bathroom had no light and the shower itself looked grimy and unappealing. The bed only had one sheet and one stained pillow that stank. The mattress sank in the middle and was lumpy and uncomfortable. The entire property stank like mildew and trash.

We checked in late. Around 10. About 4 am. The staff along with the previous renters of the room we were in open our door without knocking and let themselves in because the woman left something in the room. After it was returned to her from her hidden spot she leaves then 10 min later returns with a police officer claiming we stole something out of her notebook that we retired from the hidden spot she indicated. She caused a scene I caused a scene. When they finally left about 440 am. We packed up and left.. will never stay there again

If you trying to sleep with cockroaches, this is the right place. Didn’t have a proper lock on the door, so I couldn’t lock myself in for the night. Dirty towels were provided. And there was no toilet paper anywhere. Honestly probably the WORST place I’ve ever stayed at. Would not recommend.

I did an online reservation prepaid. Upon arrival, I told the female at the counter I was traveling by myself and I have a service animal. She had me sign a contract admission paper I suppose. She told me a pet fee was $10 that I had to pay, I told her it was a service animal due to the fact that I was tired. I needed a place to stay with the payment was nonrefundable. I decided to pay her the $10 asking for a receipt. She refused to let me have a receipt for the $10. So it is my interpretation they do not follow their policies.

When I got to my room, the door didn’t opened up. The door had to even opened up with a key.
When I got time to go to sleep, there was a bunch of Mexicans with their truck having a tailgating party literally right in front of my room and blasting music. I called the staff twice and they had to remind these people to turn the music down. Noise level exceeded past 10 o’clock. Not a safe area for children.

This stay was subpar. There were no courtesy hygiene items. There were only sheets on the bed, no blankets. The worker at the front desk that morning said they had new comforters but they're not issuing them to the rooms because she doesn't want them messed up. I do not recommend to anyone regardless of budget. They also don't bother to tell anyone that the pool is closed, so we weren't even able to enjoy at least that.

After a very long drive across the country, I got to this hotel and they told me my reservation didn’t exist. I showed them proof and they sent me away. Very rude staff. They left me stranded. The assistant manager‘s name was Michelle and she charged me even though she turned me away at the door with a reservation number! This place has some of the worst reviews I’ve ever seen online and there is a reason! First of all the hotel doesn’t look like the picture. I booked a smoking room and the lady put me in a non smoking room so I guess they didn’t have smoking rooms. The floor in the room was dirty I had to sweep before I put my things in the room. No blanket on bed just a fitted and flat sheet. It had spiders and crickets. I went to take a shower that night and no hot water. Microwave made noise and WiFi sucks. I will never book here again.

Knocked on employee doors, called the number listed for the hotel and their company to find no assistance until 30 minutes later I finally got through to a person in their corporate office who couldnt remedy the situation either. I ended up going across the street to the Best Western who luckily had room.

Really old motel still in the middle of remodeling. You get what you paid. I didn’t have high expectations initially due to the cheep price. Check-in was OK. However, the front desk told me breakfast was not included. That was wrong and it is on my reservation. Room has smell, the toilet flush got leak. The front desk guy was friendly. Location was OK. There was not blankets in the room. I asked and the front desk guy said they did not provide but gave me a few bed sheets.

The property posted on Expedia, :wasn't real life: the rooms. I booked 2 rooms for 2 adults/4 children, keyed cards one didn't open doors, 2nd room was occupied w/o front desk knowing, totally embarrassing to open door and there's a party going on.
The rooms stank, stagnant, used the bathroom, no toilet paper, no towels to dry. You get the picture!!
Saddened that I lost $165. For rooms we didn't stay in, because \" Absolutely No Refunds \" makes ya go hmmmm.

The Grand had purchased the hotel, but not all of the hotel had been converted per the photos displayed on the listing. Only a limited number of rooms were available, and none were on the 1st floor or had a king bed, as I had booked. I was told the 1st-floor doors were being painted. The bed only had a sheet and a bolster. The bathroom outlet cover is missing and is exposed. New flooring had been installed. Shower needed repairs. No hot or warm water available in sink or shower. Continental Breakfast was not available but was advertised to be included. All of this info was given at check-in but room had already been booked, paid for and could not cancel. New electronic locks for the doors, but deadbolt did not line up to work.

The pictures that are advertised are taken from when it was originally The Magnuson Hotel. It looks like a beautiful, clean, luxury hotel. Trust me it is NOT. It's ghetto... outside was in disrepair and sketchy and the inside was dirty. There was A LOT I could go into but I won't.
I will say the bed was extremely comfortable, the AC worked good, and the shower was nice with hot water and good pressure. It was okay after I bought a blanket, (because they only had a sheet on the bed) and I bought air freshener and cleaning supplies, and insisted they fixed my door so it would shut all the way and latch. But it was a sketchy place to stay, especially for a woman traveling alone.

Nothing about the way this motel is described in Expedia is true. There is no breakfast. There is no gym. The room had garbage under the bed. There was no toilet paper, no plastic cups, and no coffee. The door to the room looked like someone had kicked it in—it was loose when locked. No working WiFi and terrible cell signal. AND NO REFUND. I left after 3 hours and never stayed the night.

gRANITE, the place was under renovations, but they should not allow people to stay there until it’s done. They were roaches. I had to clean out the refrigerator before I could put my food in it. There was poop and pee, stains all over the toilet behind it underneath it on the handle of the flush. The tub was black. The sink was black. The room was so smoke filled. I used a whole can of Febreze and it still smelled like smoke I had just driven 12 hours. I was too tired to go get another room and I had no money to get another hotel. I asked for a refund because I had booked two nights. I only wanted one night refunded and I could not get a refund both front desk ladies work very very nice so I cannot condemn that but I cannot get a refund. You cannot have brand new locks from China that are shadly put in and brand new lights on the wall that is going to make this place any better they didn’t even have blankets on the bed. It was just a bottom sheet and a top sheet and one nasty pillow. I had to use my clothes and a T-shirt as a pillow.

Room wasn’t clean even though the Front desk/assistant manager, Lakesiha Brown, called housekeeper to make sure room was ready for check in. She said it was. I walked into a dirty room. Hair was everywhere, floors wasn’t swept, dead roaches in drawer. But Lakesiha was very sweet and understanding when I informed her of my room. She allowed me a later check out. Huge thanks to Lakesiha who not only worked front desk but cleaned rooms in between. Thanks for all your help!

Pink mold on shower curtain. A million hairs on sink, shower, bed, pillows, sheets, floors. Cleaning staff doesn’t have any actual cleaning spray or a vacuum. This place is disgusting and the state should shut it down.

I’m surprised Cheaptickets even took this property to advertise it. Rooms are not comple it seems like they are working on them. The door very insecure and most of all. Roaches!!!!!!
