Our stay was great! We were sad it was only for one night! The pool on the grounds was lovely, as well as close proximity to Termina Therma. We enjoyed our spacious room and the setting was amazing even though it was a bit far from the train station (though taking the bus makes it very reasonable!)

It was a lovely place to spend time. It was in a very quiet location. Our room was a tremendous space. The shower was the best we have ever experienced. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the castle-like feeling of the hotel.
What was lacking was the parking. There was a meeting and dinner held at the property by an organization on Friday night. Parking was horrible. It would have helped if the hotel let us know this was going to happen.

Where to start! I would hazard a guess that most of the positive reviews here are made by the owners/ staff etc. this was the poorest 3 star we stayed at when visiting Switzerland. This is a very confused hotel. The castle part is full of random items from old to new. The room was beyond basic and old. A 1970’s bathroom, ad hoc tables, wardrobes. An outdoor balcony but no seat. Random pillow stuffed in corners of the room. No tv from the bed! No amenities bar water. No safe, kettle making facilities, nothing at all! We had to laugh when walking in otherwise we’d have cried . They seem to be trying with the spa (despite there being a there not 6 mins walk away). A restaurant (local cuisine and Indian) backing the confused. A restaurant that managed to give a very basic breakfast where you have to figure out the toasting machine and egg boiler yourself. The scrambled egg was swarm, old and cold as was the other what was supposed to be warm items. Reception service was mostly poor. They only told us of a local discount pass a day into us staying! One that would have helped save us money! No mention of a festival happening in the town during our stay. Just generally not a great experience and we would definitely not return. All aspect of the service and amenities arent quite cutting it so I would suggest they pick and concentrate on improving one area. . This is a hotel that would get ripped apart and yet really benefit from an Alex Polizzi visit.

Great location and hotel

The hotel has a beautiful bar and wonderful restaurant. The views from the room were spectacular. Our room in the Schloss was huge even though we just got a standard double room. There was even a walk-in closet. The decor was very traditional and the bathroom was big but was done in an old fashion style with a long narrow bath with a shower attachment. More modern decor is in the outer buildings.They have an elevator so accessibility is good in the Schloss except for the restaurant where there are a few steps to go up.

The reception desk staff were very friendly and could speak multiple languages. I could converse in English with them.

The location is very convenient with free parking. It is a very easy walk over to the thermal baths in the Bad Ragaz resort. Walking to the town center took me about 5 minutes.

The breakfast at the hotel which is included was terrific with many options to appeal to different nationalities. The restaurant in the evening was wonderful with an Indian buffet.

We booked a last minute getaway to Bad Ragaz for the night and the hotel did not disappoint! Very beautiful location, excellent restaurant, and thoughtful ownership and staff. They are in the progress of updating the property and I’m excited to see what they do with it.

The hotel is nice, the room was spacious and comfortable. It’s a 2 minute walk to the Tamina Therme and you can get t discounted tickets at the hotel which lets you in directly without waiting in line. The food at the hotel is really good, especially breakfast. For dinner we had to wait even though we had a reservation and the service was slow, but they were very nice about it and offer us some freebies. The service was very friendly.

Very overpriced room in the annex, most rooms of this quality cost 90-100CHF. The restaurant at dinner only offered a buffet for 52CHF - as I didn’t eat the meat’s offered (limited) it left me with soup and salad fir that price or a long walk to and from town as the buses don’t run late.
Extremely disappointing after other Schloss hotels I have stayed at .

I arrived at 2pm and was told I could not check in till 3pm - I was aware of this but many hotels will check you in early if the room is ready.
Not a friendly feeling at this hotel other than at breakfast which was good.

Would not recommend this hotel is you want other than a very ordinary experience - nothing special here, including the price.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our rooms were not in the main bldg. which we would have enjoyed but in a modern annex near the swimming pool. They were spacious and immaculate and quiet. The extra bed for our grandson was a double and he loved it. We could have connected the two rooms, but didn’t! Breakfast was included and excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of the town...highly recommend.

Historical property that maintains much charm in the main structure. Beautiful location with gorgeous views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Very nice size bedroom/sitting area and bathroom. The bed was so comfortable. Just loved how they kept so much of the period architecture and details. Wish we could have stayed more than just one night. Would definitely stay here again and spend more time. Only thing I found that was a bit surprising was the condition of the carpeting in our room. It could use a good shampoo for some spotty areas, and the floor was a bit squeaky, but to be expected in a historical property. Overall, I LOVED it!

When we first drove up it was such a beautiful sight and I had been very much looking forward to our stay. It was all the little details that made us disappointed. For the reputation and price I was expecting a top notch facility. The ‘heated’ pool was freezing cold. The jacuzzi cost an extra 5£, which made the hotel seem cheap. The breakfast supposedly began at 715am but when we arrived at 8 there was not much selection, some cereals, breads and cheeses. It was as we were finishing out meal at close to 9 that they finally began bringing out the full array of items. There is also nowhere in town where you can purchase souvenirs and upon our arrival in the town of Bad Ragaz at 13.30h all the shops were closed, except the grocers. It was a lovely location but for the price and luxury we expected we were disappointed.

Hotel Stay in Switzerland

Stayed in the Schloss Ragaz Hotel in Switzerland. The Hotel room in the main castle was exactly what I expected. The room was large but the bathroom a bit small but it had modern facilities. The staff were friendly to me and my family. The restaurant had good food however the bar could have been manned a bit more. Overall it is a nice hotel that I would stay again at.

I have stayed there with my parents on our way to Milano. We did not intend to visit the village, but only to stay for a night in the hotel as the location and the price is so attractive.

The hotel is an amazing place for people who wants to take a rest at peaceful place. And you can combine some small trips to the other cities. The castle is located in a small village, yet not too far from the highway. You can stay there and visit other famous tourist sight such as St. Moritz or Zurich.

And the room is so clean and worth its cost. But do not expect something very cheap; you are checking a review on a hotel located in Switzerland. Facilities are well prepared.

I was impressed by their 'good bye gift.' They have prepared a little bottle of home made jam. This so lovely.

I would like to stay there again.

Good hotel in superb location

The hotel has rooms in the main building (castle/schloss), as well as in separate pavilions. While the rooms in the pavilions are more comfortable and better equiped one has to walk a good distance from them to the restaurant, bar, reception, etc., something that is less than pleasant when it rains. The location and the park are very nice and the personnel was very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant (more than the hotel itself) justify that it is rated only 3-star.

Das Rezeptionspersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Therme kann man gut zu Fuss erreichen und es gibt eine Vergünstigung vom Hotel. Die Zimmer sind für den Preis ok und Sauberkeit ist mit Ausnahmen gut. Eine Renovation ist wohl in näherer Zukunft unabdingbar. Wasser in der Dusche war nur genug warm bei sehr wenig Wasserdruck. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein aber fein. Leider wird er nicht wirklich betreut und viele Gäste halten sich nicht an das Hygienekonzept (textilfreie Zone). Das Frühstück war ok, die essentiellen Dinge sind vorhanden. Leider wird ab 10 Uhr nicht mehr wirklich nachgefüllt (Frühstück dauert bis 10.30).

Das gebuchte Zimmer im Dachgeschoss und Blick in den Park war nicht frei. Stattdessen wurde ich ohne Erklärung in einem Hinterzimmer mit Blick auf einen Erdhang untergebracht. Das Zimmer versprühte den Charme einer Handwerkerunterkunft, welches bei 198 CHF pro Nacht nicht angemessen ist. Die Matratze war durchgelegen, das Möbel abgewohnt, die Zimmer hellhörig. Über mir wurde ständig Möbel geschoben, unter mir ans Fenster klopfend Einlass erbeten. 2 Nächte konnte ich nicht schlafen. Das Zimmer roch nach Zigarettenqualm, welcher auch das Übersprühen mit Lufterfrischer durch die Hausdame nicht verschwand. Für Nichtraucher und Alleinreisende eine wahre Enttäuschung. Im Restaurant gönnte ich mir ein Dinner, reserviert an einem Tisch mit Blick in die Küche. Leider Standard für Alleinreisende. Der Service war am Abend erstklassig, beim Frühstück fühlte ich mich ungesehen.
Mein Fazit: nicht für Alleinreisende zu empfehlen

Das Zimmer hat leider alt gerochen, die Möbel vor allem Polster und Teppich. Die Putzfrau ist am Morgen einfach ins Zimmer gelaufen, als wir noch im Bett waren. Lange vor Check out um 11:00. Man hat uns nicht korrekt informiert über das Wellness Bad Tamina in der Nähe und in den alten Wellnessbereich vom Schloss geschickt. Dort hat eine Badewanne mit Sprudel nicht funktioniert. Das ganze war sehr altmodisch eingerichtet.
Wir kamen nachts retour und kamen mit unserem Zimmerschlüssel nicht rein und waren vor verschlossener Schlosstüre. Beim Chech in wurden wir nicht informiert und uns wurde kein Badge abgegeben. Das Morgenessen war ok, einfach. Die Tapete im Restaurant war neu und gemütlich wie auch die Lampenschirme zeitgemäss. Die Bar im Schloss war nicht im Betrieb. War eher langweilig. Es hätte jedoch einen wunderbaren Flügel. Der italienische Kellner im Restaurant bei der Ankunft war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ein Aufsteller in diesem Hotel. Er war bescheiden und wollte nicht das Trinkgeld annehmen. Es soll ihm zurück kommen, ein weiser Mann.

An der Rezeption erhielt ich wie im Portal angekündigt ( bis 17.-) einen Getränkegutschein.
Als ich diesen für ein Aperitif einlösen wollte, wurde mir ein kleines Bier im Offenausschank angeboten. Dieses habe ich dann dankend abgelehnt und bin gegangen.
Wiedergutmachungsmögichkeit bei Nachfrage an der Rezeption wurde nicht genutzt.

Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber, praktisch + funktional eingerichtet, das angeschlossene Restaurant toll
der Zimmerboden war unangenehm kalt, das Bett durchgelegen = eher unbequem
das Licht im Gang vor dem Zimmer brannte die ganze Nacht, das ist nicht ökologisch, der Stromverbrauch unnötig, die Lichtverschmutzung sollte eliminiert werden

Schloss Hotel Aufenthalt- Tamina Therme

Das Personal war sehr freundlich bei Empfang und Fragen , die Zimmer in den Bungalows sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen , es müffelt etwas , die Grünanlagen sind vernachlässigt , man muss zum Restaurant fürs Frühstück laufen - teilweise den kleinen Berg hoch , dort wird man dann vom Melitta Kaffeeautomat empfangen, es ist ein etwas unorganisierter Bereich , mit einer Eier Koch Anlage , also jeder steckt ein Ei auf einen Drahtständer und soll dann warten bis die Eier gekocht sind - kleiner tip auch aus hygienischen Gründen- legt gekochte Eier in einen Korb und gut ist sorgt für weniger Frust am Morgen , den Wellness Bereich kann man sich schenken , der Pool hatte grünes Regenwasser drin und plastikabtrennungen , was super ist und sehr zu empfehlen ist die Nähe zur Tamina Therme und die angebotenen Eintritte sind super praktisch , ein Bademantel im Zimmer wäre schön , eine grosse einfache Tasche wäre auch schön auch für Leute die zum Wellness gehen wollen, wie gesagt das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und wirklich bemüht , für die baulichen Dinge kann es auch nichts , der Ort selber hat ausser der Therme nicht viel zu bieten leider , für Golfspieler ist das Hotel aber ideal

Schöne Familienauszeit, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Grosses Zimmer (Junior-Suite), im gleichen Komplex Wellness-Bereich mit Whirlpool (Durch kleinen Schnürl-Vorhang vom Vorraum abgetrennt), Sauna, Dampfbad, Erlebnisdusche, Ruheraum, Freibad (nur Sommer). Die Therme nebendran wäre zum Preis der 2h-Karte den ganzen Tag nutzbar, was wir nicht gebraucht haben. Gute indische Küche, schönes Frühstücksbuffet mit verschiedenen leckeren Brotsorten, Obst, Säften, Müsli, etc. Für uns ein sehr schöner Urlaub.
Vom Nebenbau, wo Wellness und einige Zimmer sind, muss man zu Fuss 5 min zum Schloss gehen, wo Rezeption und Restaurant, Bar, etc. sind. Für uns kein Problem, man könnte es bei eingeschränkter Mobilität zur Not mit dem Auto machen, aber es ist sicher gut, das vorher zu wissen, ggf. auch für einen Regenschirm im Gepäck.

Das Schloss Ragaz braucht dringend ein Update

Wir waren schon einige Male im Schloss Ragaz jedoch merkt man, dass am Hotel nichts mehr gemacht wird. Der Teppich des Zimmers 10 war extrem fleckig und wir haben Spinnweben im Zimmer gefunden. Das kleine alte Badezimmer ist schmuddelig. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich verlottert und in die Jahre gekommen. Der Sevice beim Frühstück war nicht besonders freundlich und dass die Hotelkatze aufs Sims gesprungen ist und uns aus dem Teller fressen wollte, war auch nicht unbedingt hygienisch.
Wir haben gehört, dass das Hotel verkauft werden soll aber ich finde es dennoch sehr schade, dass man sich für die Gäste die noch buchen, keine Mühe gibt. Auch wurde und ein höherer Preis verrechnet als über Hotels.com gebucht.

Schönes, altes aber gepflegtes Hotel

Grosse Zimmer (im Schloss) mit guter Ausstattung und schöner Lage.
Einziger Negativpunkt: das Bett war schon etwas durchfelegen.

저희를 응대해주시는 직원 분들 모두 친절하셨고 영어를 못하는 저희가 난감하지 않고 천천히 응대해주시는 모습에 감동적이었습니다. 다시 한번 감사드립니다.
또한 호텔 모든 서비스를 이용해보진 않았지만 릴렉스 오아시스에 있는 수영장과 사우나는 정말 최고에 경험이었습니다. 사람이 적은 시간대였을 것이기도 했을텐데 재밌게 잘 놀다갑니다.!!
그리고 리셉션 옆에 레스토랑이 있었는데 디너 야외는 예약석이라 안에서 먹었습니다. 덥기도 했고 파리가 좀 많았고.. 조리실에서 직원들이 떠는 소리가 다 나더군요 내부가 조용해서 다 들렸나봅니다.
괜찮았어요 음식은 맛있었습니다..
아 호텔 내부 더웠습니다
레스토랑과 리셉션 직원들은 매우매우매우매우 친절했습니다😁

Historisk slot - misvisende billede forside

Fint historisk sted på et ældre slot. Desværre lidt misvisende at det første billede ikke er fra selve hotellet men et spa der ligger ved siden af hotellet og pt. er under ombygning. Personalet var venlige og steder har en masse potentiale, de ved også ved at bygge om da vi var der.

Schönes, gemütliches Hotel im altertümlichen Stil. Das Zimmer war sauber und gross. Das Personal sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Die Qualität der Speisen im Restaurant sind sehr gut, aber das Personal bei Andrang leicht überfordert.

Wir waren in den Pavillons, im ersten war die Heizung kaputt und heizte die ganze Zeit. Dieses Zimmer roch auch unangenehm. Wir konnten dann dank des sehr zuvorkommenden Barkeepers (die Rezeption war nicht mehr besetzt) das Zimmer wechseln. Betten sehr bequem, Zimmer zweckmässig und sauber. Das Wellness ist ein wenig low budget mässig (es riecht etwas, entspannende Musik und Bademäntel fehlten) aber zweckmässig. Der Ort ist innerhalb 15 Gehminuten durchs Grüne erreichbar. Die Lage ist ruhig. Das Frühstück ist solide - nichts aussergewöhnlich aber es hat alles was es braucht. Schade war, dass eine zeitlang mehrere Platten und Behälter komplett leer waren.

Wellness könnte besser sein (wenig Charme, Einwegbecher für Getränk und Tee aus der Thermos, Bademantel nur gegen Bezahlung), alles sehr sauber und Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, Personal beim Morgenessen eher zurückhaltend (konnte keine Auskunft geben über Anleitung des Eierkochers.

Gutes Hotel, im Winter etwas schattig

Das Hotel war gut, eher älter, aber man hat sich wohl gefühlt. Ich habe mich so auf den Innenpool gefreut, weil es auf den Bildern so aussah. Aber das ist das Bild von der nahegelegenen Therme, nicht vom Hotel. Es hat aber einen kleinen Saunabereich, der war auch schön. Das Nachtessen war für meinen Geschmack sehr teuer und es hatte wenig Auswahl, das würde sich aber ändern, erklärte mir der Kellner. Gestört hat mich, dass ich ab 10.00 Uhr 3x vom Zimmerservice rausgeklopft wurde. Ich checkte um 11.00 Uhr aus.

Ottima esperienza

L'hotel è molto bello con il fascino del passato. Noi abbiamo dormito nella depandance, spaziosa con il giardino privato. Il personale è molto disponibile e gentile. I bagni bad ragaz sono a 200 mt, comodissimo per andare a piegi. Assolutamente consigliato.
