Worst night at a hotel
Check in was slow, the room wasn’t ready when I got there even though it was already check in time. Then they gave me the wrong room, a double bed when I had reserved and paid for a king. They finally changed it after like an hour and a half and gave me the right room but there was loud music in the pool area at 2am that didn’t let me sleep and despite calling the front desk numerous times they didn’t know where the music was coming from. I was only there for one night and it was a terrible experience, I couldn’t rest at all.

Unfortunately my stay was met with disappointment. It started off with the unwelcoming receptionist at the front desk. I understand everyone has bad days but at least try to mask it. However I wasn’t going to let this ruin my experience. Boy was I wrong! My girlfriend and I proceeded to enter our room and noticed it it didn’t have a unpleasant smell. The room smelled moldy. It was as if someone had placed a bag of wet laundry and let it sit overnight. I noticed it wasn’t just my room, I had also booked three other rooms for my family and we all had the same issue. I had to switch rooms three times because all three rooms smelled exactly the same. The room I finally chose still smelled but wasn’t as prominent. It was the best of the worse. We also visited the lobby bar a couple time during our stay and noticed that morning customer service isn’t as friendly as the night shift.
On day two our toilet broke down and took 6 hours to fix. I’ve been to many Marriott’s and this was the worst experience. What saves this hotel is the location which is prime! 10/10. The hotel is literally located within the blue mall which was convenient. Unfortunately I do not recommend.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were tidy and comfortable. The guests in the adjacent room were a little noisy at times. We also enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast each morning and ordered from room service. The hotel is in a convenient location for shopping, and the level of security that the hotel provided was noticed and appreciated.

I had a terrible experience, there was a very loud music until 4 am, this is the most expensive hotel in santo domingo, and I could not rest! Paid for parking, wasnt able to use it , had to go back to activate..: the phone in the room did not work, so I had to go down the lobby to order, my grand daughters went to sleep , came in late because I called, burned and cold, order more towels even as I said I had two toddlers in my reservation we were short of towels, hotel is very comfortable, and nice rooms, I really had bad luck

Parking is terrible for a \"luxury\" hotel it should have a proper parking located directly at or near the hotel entrance, instead you have to go around to the other side in Santo Domingo traffic whic takes about, believe it or not, 30 minutes minimum in rush hour. In addition, even though my one night stay was prepaid through Hotels.com they blocked US$700 (seven hundred dollars) on my credit card. That is outrageous. Only good thing is all hotel personnel is very friendly and welcoming.

I didnt like how the service desk handled my check in; Before they accepted 100$ deposit considering my room was paid; they wanted a credit card only and put a hold and wouldnt even say for how much( they ran my card the code 5 didnt contact the bank about travel came up declined; my room was fully paid they didnt let me in the room untill I go check with the bank to get the deposit and I am frequent stayer at this hotel I felt neglected distespected and in my future travels will try other hotels! The Bell boys all know me were shocked even they saw this as a disrespecting a valuable customer! Everything else was great!
