The hotel's location is perfect and it's always nice and clean. However, The entire facility needs an upgrade, especially the showers. They were all rusted and worn out. The toilet had very poor water pressure so you must flush several times 😳. AC is as loud as it gets, poor sound proofing in the windows so you also hear the exterior noise. The rooms are spacious, but bedding and furnish look like 100 years old. The pool, the bar and cafe were the hightlight of this place. The menu at the restaurant could use an update too. The majority of the staff was friendly, but some were rude for no reason.

Loud and noisy during the night. Granted it was Christmas Eve. The room was substandard, the toilet did not work properly, the air did not work when heat mode was needed. Had to call room service for repairs, towels (which were pretty old) and blankets (they did address the issues in a promptly manner, however, I don’t want to deal with issues while vacationing). The location is a bit far front the touristic colonial zone and you will need to take an uber or taxi which will cost you between 7-10 dollars. The staff is friendly and helpful overall, trying hard to do their best, except for Lucia on the front desk who needs some training on providing a friendlier attitude and customer service. We checked out early and found a better accommodation for a similar price point and closer to the spots that we were interested in visiting. Lastly, the breakfast is definitely not worth the price for the quality of what is offered. The wait staff did do a great job and were very attentive. Definitely not coming back to this property, in my view it is not worth what they currently charge.

Very good price compared to other hotels in this city.

Why give out a room that is less than acceptable and then when I complain you tell me sorry there’s a better room available.
Why not just do better right off the start?
1st room; toilet would not turn off, humidity was crazy high so much that the sheets, towels, toilet paper all felt wet
Also BOTH ROOMS had ONE bottle of water! ONE! What are my wife and I…? Camels? Who drinks ONE 500ml bottle of water between two people over 24 hours?

The first night we arrived at room 817, which was damp and smelled musty. Most of the outlets didn’t work. The air conditioning didn’t work either, so they moved us to room 717.
In the meantime, I had complained about several things, like the wet floor where it kept raining inside and they didn’t put up any sign to warn people. The breakfast was awful—
the eggs were burned, the glasses were dirty.
Since I had such a bad experience during those days (from the 22nd to the 29th) and I missed my flight, they gave me the option to book again so things could be better. They moved me to room 1121, where the kitchen was dirty with coffee stains and the dishwasher had marks.
When they changed my room, I told them with the condition of 3 things:
my safe box, extra towels, and a blanket.
All the rooms were damp and smelled bad.
I couldn’t go out the next day because they didn’t install the safe box, and I couldn’t leave my documents secured.
And to top it all off, there was no hot water.
That day they moved me to 1109, which was even worse—hahaha—no hot water, the AC was broken, the noise from the AC was horrible, and the smell was unbearable.
Finally, they moved me to 1205, which was one of the better rooms, but the shower didn’t work well and the tap water wasn’t hot.Honestly, they tried to be accommodating, but there were so many bad things.I’m 100 percent sure that the hotel’s humidity can cause respiratory problems because my daughter got sick. My eyes were hurting.

Booked one night originally. Check in was easy. They didn't have the two rooms I needed side by side but they did a great job getting them as close as possible with an upgrade to our rooms. The hotel is beautiful. With on-site options for food and a bar. The coffee shop is definitely worth checking out. The Cafe con Leche was delicious. The pastries as well, and of course the hot chocolate. If you know DR you know they have incredible chocolate.
The area is hustle and bustle lots of shops ( didn't go for that purpose but will definitely next time). Lots of food options and you see police everywhere. Its in an upper scale area so its pretty safe for tourists. However, anywhere you travel that you are not from, you must take caution. This includes the DR. DR takes tourism seriously. Just practice safety. Dont wander places.
The ms we were given were clean, sooooo spacious, with a beautiful view, amazing rain shower head with hot water for those of us who love hot water, this is a major plus as its not always great on an island. Complimentary sap, shampoo, conditioner as well.
The staff were helpful as we ended up having to stay an extra night last minute. They accommodated us and the process was easy even though I booked through Expedia initially.

The not so greats: toilet was a delayed flush so you really had to hold it down for the toilet to flush. Its an island sometimes it happens...no biggie. We figured it out and all was good. The other room flushed perfectly.

This is my third time at this Radisson in Santo Domingo. There’s no reason to stay anywhere else. For what you pay, there is no better bargain. Beautiful lobby, very nice staff, and close to a lot of good dining options. It’s also just about a 10 minute Uber ride from the big mall. And by the way, that Uber ride is basically like $2.50. Incredibly affordable.I’ve stayed at other hotels in the city that are much more expensive, but like I said, there’s no reason to. And the staff was even nice enough to let me check out a couple of hours later. Definitely coming here again. Thank you, Radisson Santo Domingo!

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en este hotel y sigue siendo igual de espectacular. Es un lugar realmente hermoso, con mucho estilo y atención a los detalles.

Me siento muy a gusto cada vez que vengo. Todo está muy bien cuidado y el ambiente es muy agradable. Definitivamente uno de mis hoteles favoritos.
