Room was spotless. Location was perfect with so many things nearby. The gym was super nice and better than what is included with many other hotel gyms.

I would like to shout out the woman at the front desk who was so helpful and friendly. She let us check in early and helped us find things to do. Would not say the same about the other front desk workers but SHE carried.

Overall, super great stay. Would recommend!

Our stay was overall ok; that said we feel a little cheated by the photos shown on the property listing. Don't be fool by the photos, the property is not as new as the photos make it out to be. Internet connection was also slow at times (which is uncommon for Hong Kong)

Otherwise staff we encountered are all very helpful and friendly. Location of the property is great, plenty of food options in the area.

The hotel is a bit run down. However I have to praise the service of the concierge when we checked out early morning on 17/9. There was a rain storm and the Uber driver didn’t stop outside and the concierge guy took 2 umbrellas to help us get in the Uber car. It was totally outside his normal duties and he deserved the highest recognition and commendation.

Black Mold issues

Do not recommend! Unfortunately, we could not wait to leave this hotel sooner due to the conditions there. Although the room here costs over 100 euros / night for the cheapest type of room available(Studio Room), this hotel has some serious hygiene/health risk issues.

The hotel has black mold in all its’ bathrooms (around the sink, tiles and silicone sealants), so since the first night of getting there I started sneezing continuously and getting an allergy. We asked the reception about this and they were receptive to our complaint, which was nice, but told us all the rooms have the same issue so they basically renovated two other rooms that night (changing silicone with black mold around sink and shower, painting the walls) and moved us the next day - which was better, but also not great since the renovation materials were not dry and the room was not ventilated properly - they should do this regularly BEFORE guests arrive and complain, not during their stay

The air quality in the rooms is very poor as well, as the windows do not open for fresh air, the only ventilation is through the internal system which just recirculates air instead of introducing between rooms instead of introducing fresh air from the outside, so all the rooms smell like mold, humidity in the rooms is extremely high even if you leave the aircon / vent running non-stop.

They charge way more for the “Deluxe Room” although it is literally the same Studio Room, just at a higher floor, that’s it.

Change of name since Covid but basically the same hotel. The suite rooms the sofa and dining table have been replaced by a very uncomfortable sofa bed and the sitting room area just looks wrong with 2 side chairs and only a coffee table. Microwave is in the room, limited cutlery and no wine glasses. A/C as always in HK hotels is noisey and the themostat setting bears no relation to the output. Comfortable bed, nice linen and towels and in a quiet area away from Causeway Bay - much more a local area with lots of small restuarants - do not expect English menus in all! Bring your own Nesspreso coffee pods as only tea pods supplied. In general a good hotel in the price bracket.

We are repeated customers to this property, even after they have changed their name of the hotel, we still decide to stay there due to the familiar local eats around the area.

Unfortunately, the front desk receptionists are very rude and unprofessional. They dont communicate or interact with you when you check in or when they are in the lift with you, they just ignored you or stared at you which we find it's a deterrance factor to continue staying in this hotel. It's unfortunate.

The air conditioner is right above the bed, air blowing directly to you when one the bed. No one can use it when sleeping or waking up sick! Carpet is dirty, no hand soap at the first, empty body wash at the first. No parking in front of building, you have to walk a distance in order to wave for taxi, hard specially when you have luggage.

The room is kind of small but that's you expect in Asia. Staff is friendly and helpful,the air conditioner is kind of loud especial at night. Location is very good and tons of the restaurant around. I spent 2 weeks in there and I can't even try all the restaurant yet. Transportation is good also, pretty close to the MTR (Mass Transit Railway).

I actually did not end up staying at the hotel overnight. But it is true the electric appliances is a little old. I did not make any difficult requests nor gave the staff a difficult time but the staff should have followed my instructions and should not call me outside of the premise because I said to wait for me to return for the fridge. And it is truly not urgent. But gave me a stomach ache right after I eat. But the boiler was handled when the cleaning lady came up. So I did not understand what the issue was but the fridge was dripping water when I first entered and later ok after I return.

I honestly don’t think I will come back again as I don’t know how to communicate with the staffs.

Awesome Room and Excellent Services

We spent 12 nights in the One Bedroom Apartment located at 27/F. Awesome view with a mixture of city view and a bit of harbour view. The room is as shown in their marketing photo (some places look nice on photo but could be small in real). Generous room size, both Bedroom and Sitting Room are spacious (in Hong Kong apartment standard). Having a washing machine in the room is a massive plus for a longer stay. There is nothing I can pick on for this room, it is good size, plenty of storage and I am satisfied with the housekeeping and hygiene.

Location is awesome, you have multiple public transport options around, 5mins walk from MTR, 1-2mins from bus stop and tram stations. Instead of fancy chain eateries and shops, you get a taste of very local residential area with lots of local food/shop options. But just a park apart, you can get to a major shopping area Causeway Bay in 5mins on foot.

I’d like to make a special note to thanks Sandra at Front Desk for your help on the Check In and Check Out process. We arrived a couple of hours earlier than standard check in time, Sandra has been very helpful and arranged an early check in for us. That is very helpful especially when you desperately needed a shower after a long journey! Thanks Sandra =) And I loved being greeted by the cheerful face every day when I walked pass the reception desk, also thanks for the info about the local area too~

It has been a very pleasant experience and I surely will stay here again.

I stayed here 4 years ago, but seems not much has been maintained since. Stayed 6 nights. Room smelt of stale smoke on my arrival, and at times could smell smoke in the hallway outside even though it's a non-smoking hotel. Carpet old, towels old and frayed, ripped on edges. Air-conditioning was terrible, fluctuating between extreme cold and heat 24 hours a day - we woke up many times every night from sweating or freezing. No local Chinese channels available.
These points led to a 3-star rating, but was dropped to 2-stars as I returned one day to find my brand new full white shoes stained with milk tea (the cleaners must've spilt the near empty cups in the bin), and while the hotel is great to book us a jumbo taxi to HK city check-in, the price was a steep hk$160 (I understand it's our choice to pay that price, but jumbos are very hard to catch on street). All in all, quite disappointed and will need to find another place for upcoming visits.

Standard corporate style decor, and reasonable sized room for Hong Kong with a good sized and comfortable bed. Shower and bathroom were fine. Room had fridge, microwave and kettle. We were on the 27th floor and large windows brought in good natural light and we had an open view of rooftops and skyline. Tin Hau is well placed for metro, bus and tram and the areas has a good selection of local restaurants,coffee shops and shops. Room only had one bed side table which was strange - good individually controlled bed side lights for reading in bed.

Check in was very smooth but throughout the night there was a loud “buzzing” sound which made sleep difficult. When I was at ge reception the next morning I complained about the noise and they apologised that it was due to the water pressure or something Iike that. Surely if the hotel is properly maintained this should not occur. Another thing was the sliding doors for the shower was rusty and noisy. Again a sign that the property was not properly maintained.
I have stayed previously in Citadines and Somerset properties but have not encountered such issues.
