Room was clean and the staff were perfect. Anything I asked was answered to my satisfaction. Love that the rooms do not have carpet. Makes for a cleaner feeling. The windows do not open, but I think that is pretty hard to find in Hong Kong. It's not a 5 star, but you pay for what you get. It was reasonable for what I paid. Location is A1. I’m quite disappointed with my recent stay. My previous stay was acceptable. But this time the room with mouldy smells, air conditioner is noisy and don’t seem to be blowing, bathroom floor trap is choked, and it quite rundown. Smoking also seems to be allowed in other rooms. The good thing is its location and affordable pricing that’s what I can say.

The location is great. The service is so-so, my tea cups and cutlery only got renewed the first day I was there and then they just left it as is. The walls are thin so you can pretty much hear your next door's conversation. Otherwise price is good and everything else is decent. Oh and the elevators are very slow.

The room was okay for the short stay we had there, although it was very dated especially the bathroom. The mattress was really firm and uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and it’s very close to North Point MTR train station.

It is a bit old, but super convenient with the airport bus stop right across the road from hotel and MTR entrance just a few steps away. Staff were friendly which is kind of rare for HK. There is no drinking water so need to buy, supermarket around the corner so not too bad, but it would have been nice to have something to drink on arrival. If you don't mind it being old, I higjly recommend it for the convenient location and wonderful staff.

While staying there for 12 nights in April, a horrible incident happened that totally ruined our experience. On day 7 we found that 3 packs of dried seafood gifted by my sister and stowed in my suitcase were gone. After reporting the loss, a manager and another staff came to search through all our suitcases to no avail. He then reviewed all CCTV recordings and door lock entry data, told us he found no evidence of foul play, and advised us to report to local police. My own gut feeling was that this was most likely an insider job by the hotel staff. I refused to waste more valuable time on an allegation with no supporting evidence, so I decided to suck it up and accept the loss. Then on the last night when repacking our luggage, we magically found the 3 packs of seafood in the outer compartment (a flap that opens out after unzipping) of my suitcase which I never used in the past. We’re glad the lost items were eventually found, however, I was still puzzled by how they disappeared and reappeared. After check-out, I emailed Ibis with full details of the whole incident and asked for a comment. Their reply again did/could not provide a reasonable explanation. So unless the room was haunted and some paranormal event(s) happened during our stay, I knew in my mind what and how they happened. Lesson learnt for me even after traveling globally for half a century, going forward we will definitely lock all our suitcases everyday before we leave the hotel room, not just before a flight.

From the moment I set foot in the Ibis North Point property I gained a very favourable impression of the way in which the hotel is managed. Each and every staff member I encountered was very professional and genuinely friendly. I requested a room high up in the building, and was duly assigned one. The view of the harbour and its shipping traffic was spectacular: a real plus point. The hot water supply and pressure in the shower was excellent, and the room in general of a perfectly adequate size for a 5-night stay. The manager kindly offered me a slightly later check-out time in order to allow me to make the most of my day before heading to the airport. Michelle, at the front desk, was particularly helpful when it came to storing my baggage for a few hours prior to my departure. I have stayed in in a good number of hotels in a similar price bracket in Hong Kong, and this one is outstanding amongst them. Many thanks to the entire team for the excellent and scrupulous service you are providing for travellers.

Great location but in need of a deep clean.

Reception agents were great and very helpful. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was sorely lacking. There were filthy walls and mould in the bathroom on the floor, on the walls, in the tile grout ,and there is something growing on one of the ceiling tiles in the shower area. The sheets were clean as as well as the towels. This hotel is in a great look location, but it really needs to be renovated and deeply cleaned. Did not meet the standards that I expected from the Ibis Hotel chain.

Definitely not a 5 stars hotel, you get what you pay for. I personally have no problem with it, No complaint here. But this hotel is super convenient everything within minutes walking distance, MTR, Bus station, Ferry Pier, and tons of restaurant around the hotel.

Inexpensive but needs attention

The shower is so small that the shower curtain sticks to you when you are trying to shower. There was obvious wear and decay in and out of the room. Cleanliness was mediocre, when I first got to the room there were hairs all over even though it looked basically clean. It is inexpensive but you get what you pay for. However the staff are great. Very friendly, accommodating and responsive. And the location is convenient.

Excellent location, close to subway and bus stations. Many choices of cuisine, and great for shopping. Don’t expect much from the property. They don’t provide in room coffee or tea bags, no amenities in the bathroom.

First time in Hongkong. Just overnighting n left airport to go up to fhe Peak. Well worth it! Hotel a tiny hole in the wall, but hey, lotsa peeps there! Felt safe at midnight roaming for noodle house. Small beds. After long flight… was good enough to appreciate, even the tiny room. One block f big bus transfer station n Victoria harbour.

Looked like cigarette burns on the bathroom floor and it smelled moldy. All that said it was not a bad stay and the breakfast buffet is amazing.
