I picked East hotel mainly because of its convenient location, it's right next to the MTR station, and it's connected to CityPlaza. The room was kept clean, attentive services by courteous staff. However, I found their mattress too soft for my comfort. Also, their semi-open bathroom/toilet setting means you wouldn't be able to share a room with a friend. But overall, I am happy with my stay at EAST hotel.

Excellent location and excellent customer service. We got upgraded probably and got a nice Harbour view which makes our stay very enjoyable.
Due to its central location to MTR, we managed to go back to hotel for a quick rest to get refreshed as the weather is still very hot. Everything is very attentive and we are thoroughly impressed. This will be our estimated hotel whenever we go back to visit

1. No available socket in the bathroom; no lighting on/off switch in the toilet or bathroom.
2. At night, you must use a torchlight or turn on the room light if your roommate doesn’t mind.
3. There is only one socket near the bed, so to use the hair dryer, you need to unplug either the microwave or the coffee maker.
4. The glass wall as a bathroom partition lacks shades or blinds, making it inconvenient to change clothes after using the bathroom due to wet floors.
5. The mirror in the bathroom has excessive reflection and is not suitable for cosmetic use.

We had a beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. Love the plentiful hot water, hand held and rain shower heads, very comfortable beds and pillows. All room controls built into the nightstands. All staff members were polite and very helpful. All our needs were met with an easy elegance and we enjoyed our stay. The woman providing housekeeping on our floor was sunny and efficient, detailed oriented.

The breakfast buffet at FEAST has many offerings and while pricy, the foods was fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit and BBQ bun. The view from the Sugar bar/lounge is wonderful and worth seeing. The weather was chilly during our visit so we did not visit the pool area.

The hotel is very conveniently attached to CityPlaza Mall and we accessed the Island Line train from the station located there.

Everything here is excellent, but nothing is exceptional. Perfect for a business hotel. The front entrance was closed for renovation, so the side entrance has to be used, which is inconvenient and a bit confusing.

Really great. Hotel building and room were pretty much perfect. Next door to the MTR station, with trains every few mins and lifts to ensure it’s all accessible. Also connected to a huge mall. Harbour view room was excellent and the views were incredible. Worth paying for. Pool really nice too, and quiet despite being surrounded by other buildings. Frustrating that we were once told the pool needed to close for a couple of hours due to storm warning when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but think that’s more of an HK-wide thing rather than this hotel. A few small issues that the hotel could improve: check-in desks need one queue line. Having 3 separate ones meant that we were stuck behind someone who took a while, and others who arrived long after us were seen first. One bigger issue was the service at Sugar bar, where we ordered a Cosmopolitan and were served a drink that included orange juice. We explained to the waiter and another colleague (possibly manager) that it should be cranberry, and were told it’s their twist, including cranberry and orange. It didn’t taste good so we asked if they could make a normal one just with cranberry. They said yes, that of course they had cranberry juice, but what was produced and delivered by a different member of staff was even worse, including grapefruit juice. He also revealed they didn’t in fact have any cranberry juice. Not great to lie to your guests, and I suggest you learn the cocktails on the menu.

What I don't like is that there is very little room/space for us to store our stuff. We have to put everything back into our luggage. We stayed for six nights and every night we had to get our clothing for the next day from our luggage and put our dirty clothing back in.

Sylish hotel

East Hong Kong is a stylish hotel, with quiet rooms, good gym with an excellent rowing machine, and good breakfast. A few things to improve: articificial sugar available at breakfast, better sealed shower door so water doesn't leak out. The use of bread to soak fat from bacon creates a allergy hazard for celiacs. They can also cover for bacon at breakfast so it doesn't get cold.

The hotel had poor soundproofness. I could hear guests talking and walking outside the room. I lost a lot of sleep and that caused me to oversleep. The staff gave me an ultimatum rudely to check out at 1pm or pay up for an extension of for $2000. Won’t stay there again.

Fantastic well-equipped modern hotel in Tai Koo

Fantastic modern hotel in Tai Koo Shing, with friendly and helpful staff, great amenities, including a pool, gym and rooftop bar. Also ajacent to City Plaza which is handy. The room is spacious for Hong Kong. We stayed in a corner room, which was actually smaller than the urban double we stayed in previously.

I am very much enjoyed my stay at East. I booked the corner room and I have no building block the view of the Victoria Harbor. Just the right floor, 24/F . You can enjoy the breathtaking view even when you are showering. Must try! One of the kind experiences!
