I had Kate as my front desk employee who is excellent. Friendly, polite n carry a smile as well as very helpful. On the other hand , Nelson is not very good. Need improvement. Talk to head guy Danny who’s very friendly as well. Been to the old n the remodelled room. The old one carpet n decor need a lot of work.

Regarding thecdaily cleaning of the room, it started off well at the beginning of the stay. However, as the week went on, the room wasn't cleaned and tidied up to standard. The cups were dirty and weren't relaced. Used cutlery were not taken away
Also, it was a shame the pool was closed.
It would be nice if bottled water were provided as part of the package

The room and hotel needs updating.
The shower flooded and nothing was done about it.
The staff were not very helpful. We were always trying to find a member of staff to serve us for food and drinks. The restaurant was shut down. If we had known about the restaurant before we would have booked somewhere else.
Just not good enough and will not visit here again.

The Harbour Plazas are all good, this one is no exception, you know what you are getting if you are a regular. It is a bit of a trip back in time to another era, wood trim everywhere makes it warm and welcoming. Rooms are not big, but are usually nice. The facility is clean. The only thing I didn't like was out of the hotel's control, that the building across the street was being renovated so the Starbucks, Cafe De Coral, Pret a Manger and several others were all demolished. This meant an additional block just to get to McDonald's, about the only restaurant around, as well as a Wellcome, and a Circle K. Pret was there but a full block away. As such it was inconvenient. Otherwise it is a great hotel near the MTR.

Do note that the free WIFI is almost non-existent. You can’t use it as it’s so so slow, nothing can get loaded on your phone! Definitely not catching up with times!

Also the hotel is next to the HK funeral parlour so you might want to take note of this. We had some relatives who booked at the hotel and seem uncomfortable with this.

Staff calls the housekeeper and then says the sheets will be changed the next day. Then when you ask why not the same night if you spoke to the housekeeper the staff calls them back and says oh there is only one housekeeper. When checking in you better not arrive too early but arrive on time. Otherwise you will wait until 3 pm on the dot to get checked in.

I've stayed at this property many times over the years as it is very convenient to our HK office. They have recently done some room renovations, but they were pretty cheap mods. We had constant trouble with our room keys, the beds are hard and uncomfortable.
The restaurant does a good job and has a great breakfast layout, but is relatively expensive. they do have a work out facility and the room price is good.

The hotel is in a great location, but is dated and in need of a renovation. The room furniture was worn with doors not closing properly etc. Room rates were good that made up for the other shortcomings.

The hotel is situated in the best of both worlds. Short walk to local markets and dined like a local, or short MTR to Causeway Bay or Kowloon for the fancy restaurants. Not much shopping nearly other than local market type shopping. But it was fun, and we enjoyed the experience. The hotel is right opposite the North Point Government Office and Quarry Bay. In the evening there were plenty of locals jogging around the bay or strolling to North Point which has a larger shopping area than Quarry Bay.

As our business meetings were around Central, the location of the hotel suited us. Will stay there again.

Stayed at the hotel quite a few times during the years. The hotel is certainly showing its age. The rooms are dated. And the shuttle bus service to/from Cityplaza stopped after COVID. But the staff are nice and helpful. The lobby cafe very good with comfy chairs. One MRT station away from Cityplaza or 20-25 minutes walk. Many dining options nearby. Overall good if you don’t mind older hotels.

Pictures in Hotels.com website are misleading - we (2 adults 1 child) got a twin room with a folding bed crammed in - nothing like the modern looking pictures in website. Also, WiFi in room was really lousy, kept dropping off and slow. I was hoping to do some work in the room but ended up having to go to a nearby cafe to work./. Not commendable for the cost of the stay.

The hotel is near Quarry Bay metro station, very convenient to anywhere. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. However, the building is really dated. We had a studio room No. 3202 with half harbour view and with a stove, fridge and sink. There is no electrical outlet in the kitchen and bathroom. The ice tray was dirty and the Samsung fridge was rusty. I will not recommend, at least, the same room. Personally, I will not stay at this hotel again.

The bartender May was very professional and personable at the same time. Very accommodating service. The lady at the front door bottom of the escalator needs to learn how to smile. She has more of the attitude of a jail warden receiving new prisoners than a friendly welcoming valet. Hotel suffers of the same disease as the Hong Kong does in general: An increase influx of Maitland Chinese both tourists and staff largely uncivilized, unmannered and uneducated.

We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour Plaza North Point. Even though it’s slightly further from the focal attraction of the city (7 MTR stations from Central, 5 from Causeway Bay), we appreciate its cleanliness and the view from our side harbor view room. Our room was spotless clean everyday and the staff in the lobby was helpful and efficient. Highly recommended for the price and quality of service!

Hotel is located in a quiet area near Quarry Bay. It only takes 3 tram stops to get to North Point where there are plenty of restaurants and stores for shopping. If you don't like riding the trams, there are bus stops, and metro stops near by. My room was rated to have a city view. There was not much of a view to speak of. I think the advertising was a little misleading.

Attentive and professional staff, generally clean and tidy, just a little tired and dated fixtures and fittings. The refrigerator was very noisy (throughout the night cooling nothing inside) there weren’t enough cloths hangers for a weeks worth of business meetings, there is no minibar as they suggested, and surfaces were a little sticky and dusty round the edges. Despite one very pleasant evening in the bar (after a particularly long day), two subsequent visits were aborted due to no staff?

For the price, you could get a hotel more central, more modern at better location in HK nowadays. I was meeting some friends and that why I have stayed here. But it is a tired hotel and there is just better hotels in HK. It may be a choice of certain people. I will not be coming back.

I didn't personally stay here. I booked for my son and his girlfriend. I have gleaned all the information from them. They found the hotel peaceful and relaxing and most of all safe. My son's girlfriend is from Hong Kong so told me what area they needed to be. They had a very enjoyable stay and thankful at the end of the day for the aircon.

location was good, but lots of issues w old hotel

The bad
- non-smoking floor we were on was constantly smelling smoke.
- people next door kept yelling late at night in the corridor. one night i had to open the door and tell them to quiet down.
- One day the water coming out was brown, i talked to reception, only to find out they were fixing the filter. you would think they post a note of some sort.
The good
- the location of the hotel was very convenient and
- breakfast was good w decent selection.
- the room was a bit tight w 3 twin beds there was hardly any space to move around.
