Your choice of hotel

Came HongKong to watch Twins concert at the coliseum and boy, this hotel is a stone throw away from the concert hall. Super convenient and also a stone throw away from the MTR. Will be my first choice in the future if I’m coming for another concert.
Front desk staffs are pretty friendly and can converse well in English and mandarin too.

I was locked inside the room as their door lock was malfunction after I put on the door knob latch at night.
Call housekeeping but they also could not open the knob. I had to wait till they called another guy for assistance. I think the hotel knew there was a problem as when I checked in late around 8pm, a guy came to the door to see if my room card worked or not. Anyway, this incident made me not too satisfied especially the morning I had an appointment to go to.

This group hotel is too disappointing. I'm Aug 21, 21 check in. At that time room number is 990. The room is big. (I don't want big prefer comfort). Because I want to try a day to see how comfortable it is and then transfer to a long-term monthly rent. But completely disappointed. First, the plug were found for dozens of minutes. Located the top of the kitchen sink (only one plug, nowhere). The hot water cooker power line is not long enough. Very ridiculous. The bathroom door position design is a gap, the water permeates the ground. And there is no hair dryer in wash room. Smell bad in the room. The curtain was fell off. The hardness of the bed is like sleeping on a table. Furniture just like antique. Scare to touch, it seems very dirty. The TV is too small and the position is too far away. It's really test my eye vision. I wanted to change the room but just want to leave quickly instead. Like a haunted house. Front desk staffs need to provide more training. Never think about this group of the hotel and come again.

It was nice. The room is quite spacious. Our room’s drainage was clogged so we were transferred to another bigger room. It was spacious and nice, apart from the insect bite of my daughter.. As an active kid, she was all over the place, she even went under the bed where I think she might had those bites.

All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Everything is great. 1st time staying here and there's definitely another time. The staff are super friendly. Asked for an ice bucket twice and they were delivered in a timely manner. The refrigerator is large. The harbour view is great. There's a microwave oven which is really convenient.

Just one thing that bugged me, Delphine at the front desk slammed my HKID on the keyboard or the desk. She may have a bad day and perhaps the frontline staff are overwhelmed by heavy workload.

A CLEAN AND CONVENIENT RESIDENCE

Our short stay at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis was very comfortable and efficient. The staff were extremely friendly and cooperative, and provided us with a very smooth check in process, although my wife and I arrived at quite different times. The staff also responded to my wife's request for a larger room, and arranged for us to have a more spacious environment. We have stayed there before and always found it bot comfortable and convenient, because transport arrangements are very convenient.

Carpet had a huuuge stain. Bed sheets and quilt cover were dirty, even after being changed new ones, still had dirt on them. Swimming pool has mould floating around in them. The designs of the rooms are very outdated and desperately need a refurbishment. Aside from the grand lobby room, I’m surprised at that this is a 4* rating and charges so much.

It's unfortunate that I have to give this review. Previously I had been traveling to this Hotel for years. I always get the club level because it goes above and beyond my expectations for a great hotel. Had wonderful service, clean rooms, and a great location.

However, this year I found the attitude had changed. The Hong Kong protests took place during the time I was supposed visit. One of the flights I was on was canceled. This entire situation threw off my trip due to safety issues. Under these circumstances businesses would generally issue a refund or at the very least offer credit to reschedule the booking. This hotel did neither. They hid behind their corporate policy and denied my request 3 separate times. In their defense, it's in the policy that there are no refunds. Under normal circumstances, that would be expected. Under these circumstances, it was not expected or received well. I do not wish to do business to a company that holds it's own policy more valuable than the customers they do business with.

So, thank you for your past service, but I will not be returning, nor recommending you to any associates of mine. I will actively suggest other hotels in the area, and to avoid traveling to your establishment. I hope your hotel enjoys the payment I made, because instead of having a loyal return customer that would have spent thousands of dollars over the years, you've got one less customer that will be funding someone else's hotel chain.

The location is not bad and their shuttle bus service is very convenient (but you cannot use shuttle bus service before checking in and after checking out). There were some problems because of the hotel is too big (1)my room was in the end of the floor, so very far from the elevator (2)some receptionists are new and they need to train (3)there was always a queue at the reception and needed to wait for a while every time. But I can recommend to the others.

The Pros: Easy to access bc right across the street from MTR; both ATMs and convenience stores in attached mall; absolutely beautiful pool!

The Cons: Boring breakfast for the price; hotel room \"so so\"; price of room should have been much less for what it offers; and couldn't use pool the entire stay bc of over zealous staff worrying about storms (understandable, but HK is hyper sensitive about safety)

The hotel has a great location close to plenty of bus stops and the metro so it was easy to get around. It is also connected to a mall so we were easily able to find restaurants and buy any drinks or snacks close by. The staff was friendly and let us check in early since our flight arrived early in the morning which was very nice of them! The only negatives are that you can only connect two devices to the WiFi before incurring an extra charge (which was inconvenient since we did not have a local phone plan) and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Overall had a good experience though!

The Harbour Plaza Metropolis is a comfortable and clean hotel, with a number of good restaurants and bars, a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour, and is very conveniently located so that one can catch a train to China or a shuttle bus to TST, where one can get the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island or the MTR to Hong Kong or to other parts of Kowloon.

One night stay in a club room on 20th floor. Room was a bit dated, particularly the bathroom and had a bit of a strange smell, typical of a tropical climate - dampish.
Food and view in the club lounge was good and the staff happy to chat and serve.
Pool is good but doesn't get any sun in the afternoon.
Didn't try and of the restaurants, as lobby area seemed to be very busy.

The Harbour Plaza Metropolis is conveniently located with very efficient transport options to go to many different parts of Hong Kong. It has some very good dining locations, but is also in area that features some delicious restaurants. It is also close to Victoria Harbour, and one can walk along the harbour front and feel both relaxed and in a very healthy environment with a beautiful view of the harbour, the ships, the ferries and the traditional junks take passengers to parties around Hong Kong.

Thoroughly recommend the club room for extra USD50.00, happy 2 hour all the drinks you want 6-8, sports tv , breakfast also some free laundry and other restaurant discounts along with a panaromic view of the harbour inside or outside tables.

The hotel doesn't feel exactly like the pictures they advertise. however the hotel is still very good, the furniture felt very old, the hotel main entrance is under construction and we used a backdoor to enter. the staff were polite not welcoming, the place was clean, the lobby looks great, the room review was good, the bedding was great, the air con was working well, the bathroom was good. just the room furniture are very old fashioned unlike the pictures, also the location is great, as there's an MRT behind the hotel that starts at the hotel station so the train is empty from the hotel station usually. would consider it for my next visit.

This is my Hotel of Preference when coming to Hong Kong, because of the room size, as well as the location right beside the Hung Hom Station!. Great Shuttle Service to TST, easy free Shuttle Buses from the Kowloon Airport Express Train Station to Hotel. I always choose the Superior One Bedroom Suite as I can meet with vendors in the living room and kitchen table area. Bedroom remains a private bedroom with a desk that overlooks Hong Kong! Great views!
The kitchen area is very convenient and useful for keeping snacks, food, drinks cold, and so on.
The Dinner Buffet is to die for! But their A-La Carte menu is just as tasty if you do not want to overeat.
Some areas of improvement. 1) Fix the front door issue, as entering the side door means congestion, and is not pleasant way to enter the Hotel. 2) Also WiFi reception in some rooms is poor. I had to change rooms to get the proper reception that worked great once I changed rooms. 3) Sometimes I had to wait 3-4 minutes running the hot water, before the hot water came out. 4) Furniture is old and outdated- time to refresh all room furniture with newness. 5) Bring Back CNN on the TV 6) add a Coffee Maker with coffee and tea to each room.
Despite some of these minor issues, this is always a great place to stay and call my home when in Hong Kong!

This is a reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location that needs an upgrade. We have been coming to this hotel for both short and extended stays (there are suite rooms with a kitchen and living area) for many years. The staff has always been near-perfect and this time we stayed on the club floor where wonderful people helped us with our every need. The food selection for breakfast in the club room was also quite good. But in all the years we have been coming the hotel has NEVER upgraded their rooms except to re-upholster a few pieces of furniture and replace carpeting. The beds have not been replaced and badly need it as do the old room furnishings. All of that said, the hotel is located within the Victoria Harbour area and right across the street from the train station with connections to everyplace in the city. The hotel is connected to a mall that has restaurants, shops and a grocery store. We would return there again, but were disappointed that the hotel rooms are not up to standards for Hong Kong and that problem gets more serious as time goes on.
