The room was really tiny. The two single beds could barely fit in the room at odd angles. The room and equipment had not been properly maintained or was damaged and had not been replaced for years. It hadn’t been properly cleaned for a very long time. The elevator was rickety and the doors closed too quickly and violently. There was one reception staff who was almost reluctant to assist with anything.

The price was way too high for the quality of the room.

The beds were tiny and the mattresses were thin.

The bed linen was clean enough and we were able to get a bit of sleep, although I was up until 3am trying to book another hotel so that we didn’t have to spend another night at Homy Northpoint.

In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to families with children as it did not feel safe.

I would only recommend it if you have absolutely no other place to stay and better if you can negotiate a lower price.

Wall, floor and bed sheet wrere dirry. Bathroom was so small that cant even turn around. Building might be over 50 years old. Orher than location is convinence, nothing is recommanded I already forefeited the upcoming booking with non refundable fund and booked another one.

The room they put me in for the first 2 nights were absolutely horrible. It smelled and was VERY dirty. The walls were patched with different wall papers and had a layer of dust. The floor had hair and dirt. The toilet was so close to the wall that I could not put my legs straight. I’m only 5’1” and 113 pounds so im petite. It was impossible to use the restroom. The third night I finally requested a room change. That room was much cleaner and had more leg room when using the restroom. I should’ve asked for a change right away but I was just exhausted after a 20 hour flight!

As soon as i walked in the door i was met with a massive cockroach. It petrified me, the issue was the room was so small and designed in a way there was no way i could kill the thing, and honestly we needed a place to keep our stuff for about 8 hours and get a shower or else i would’ve moved to a different hotel.

Of course for that price you really can not expect high luxury but I consider there is a minimum. The rooms are tiny, very old and not clean at all. The hotel is in a very old and dirty building too. I will be honest but I stayed in the room 5min but left directly as I couldn’t stand it. I prefer to sleep outside than there. This place is a typical example of hk subdivided surviving flats and I would recommend to consider other places probably further for that budget but in better condition.

Message to the staff: the service and checkin was friendly and good, so nothing to complain about that but I really encourage you to completely review your rooms and do full renovation to offer a decent service to people and improve living conditions. More than business it’s just minimum service as your mission to accommodate people.

Staying here was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel by far. I have never reviewed a hotel before but feel that I am obligated to warn others. Some of the photos on the listing are completely fake and not this hotel. After checking in and walking into our room, we immediately took photos, checked out, and reported it to Expedia. The room we checked into had absolutely no lights in it, the walls were torn up and warped with stains. The only good thing I have to say is that the men at the front desk were nice enough. I recommend staying anywhere other than here.

Good things: Walk 5 minutes to Mtr and bus across the road to get to airport with the A21 bus. The Tram is very close by and the Fresh vegetables and fruits and meat market is behind next street parrallel to Kings St. This hotel is located on Kings Street and was hard to find when we first arrived from airport. You need to tell A21 bus Driver of your hotel then he will tell you where to get off then walk 5 - 7 mins from there to Kings Street. ROOM: very very small, and wall is peeling. Bed is clean. but the FLOOR is not so clean.

The room I stayed with my daughter is nice. Small but clean. If you don't have too many luggages and ok with a small bathroom where the toilet and the shower are not separated, it's a good choice. The location is convenient. Many buses stop right outside of the hotel and the mtr is about three minutes walk. Tiny bit of noise from the cars outside but not a big deal. It's one of those things you compromise when you pick a convenient location like this hotel. Tons of shops and locals restaurants in the area. I got some Xmas decorations and a suit case in my area. Not as populated as mongkok or TST so it's definitely a good location especially if you want to be in Hong Kong Island.

First, the bad. The rooms look terrible. The wallpaper is peeling and stained. The hotel will not win any beauty contests.

But it provides the three basics I need: effective AC, reliable internet and hot shower. It's also in a great central location. The staff were very polite. There's a large common area for guests.

Hong Kong accommodations are very expensive so for the price, I thought this hotel was well worth it. I would have stayed longer except the price went up.

If you are looking for a private bedroom with a shower but you don’t want to spend too much money this is the best place for you. The hotel is located in a great zone with many convenience stores, restaurants and a MTR Station nearby. The communication and check in/out was really fast and easy. The room is clean and has everything you need, however, the walls are really thin and you can slightly hear other guests, but for the price you are paying is not bad. I recommend this hotel if you are staying 3 nights or less, totally worth it.

The Homy Inn operates as a hostel so if you are trying to find an affordable spot in Hong Kong, and are willing to make some sacrifices, it might work for you. Our room was clean and tidy, the beds were good and the linens nice but be warned, the room was very small, really small; just six feet wide by twelve feet long. barely enough room between the two beds to walk with a bit extra at the end for luggage. The attached bathroom was also efficiency- minded allowing only a knee-knocking nine inches between the front of the toilet and the wall. The shower, draining to the floor, offered the unexpected wet foot with a midnight visit. The room included a small screen television and AC that worked. The floor had three different levels to it; difficult navigate in the night.

The Homy Inn is nicely located a couple of blocks from a MTR (subway) stop and on a major street with tons of buses including a direct bus to the airport. Our room was on the twelfth floor; the elevator is an uncomfortable fit for five and the halls a narrow four feet or so wide. However, if you tend toward claustrophobia, or are inclined to nighttime musings about the exit plan in the event of a fire, this may not be the place for you. It’s certainly OK in a pinch but honestly, it wouldn't be our choice for a return visit.

Please rethink to stay this inn.
They are selling a bed which means this is not a hotel even a inn.
You have to stay with different person if you stay twin bed room. Be careful because I did paid in full for one person but try to change to 2 person to stay, they said i can not, period. So i ask 3 times even they Hotels.com. but couldn't do anything. So I have to stay new hotel and lost 3days paid full.
Be careful to pay in full especially this inn.

Cheap stay on Hong Kong Island

A Saturday night stay and I wanted to be on the Island. In North Point between two metro stations. Not a smart area but quite safe and surprisingly quiet in the room. Very small with combined shower/toilet - like small rooms in Japan but less sophisticated. Common areas rather basic but friendly staff. Prices were very high in other hotels so this was the best option. Still not cheap and may be better to stay in Kowloon as the metro takes the same time or less to get there from Central. OK as I am not tall but could only move one or two limbs at a time in the single rooms!

It’s a very homy hotel matching well with its name. I will recommend it for single traveler who is on a business trip or on a short stay. The room is so tiny that there is not really enough space for two to both stand in the room. I enjoyed it very much as I am traveling by myself. It has a very competitive price. The place is tidy and clean, and quiet. It’s just 5min walk from the MRT. The clerk at the counter is very friendly and helpful. I would certainly book this hotel again on my next trip.

Homy North Point is located in a population centre where you can eat practically everything, but the restaurant immediately next to it is a famemonger although the food is decent. Toiletry is provided at check-in so you can take only what you need. When you return to your room, passing through the check-in counter is optional. Beware that occasionally furnishings are found broken, but you are advised to notify management about such events. The air-con is easy to operate though.

Checked in late in the evening and was greeted very warmly by the counter staff. Check in was simple and took less than 15 mins. Room was as expected for HK standards - small and cramped - but clean, which is the most important for us. Daily cleaning was done in our room which is great. Their staff responded really quickly when we reported a faulty light in our room at past 9PM! Overall, if convenience and budget is the main factor this hotel is a great choice.

Nice neighbourhood hostel

Upon arrival, check in was a quick procedure. Room was clean. Staff was really helpful providing us answers to our questions. Shops were aplenty all around and you can really immerse yourself in their local scene. Transportation is conveniently accessible by bus, tram and MTR.

The place is clean and quiet, and acceptable for the price. However, be prepared for tiny space, particularly the bathroom which is so small it is not possible to close the bathroom door while using the toilet. There is not enough space for a chair (let alone table) so it is not suitable if you want to work. Overall it was ok but it is necessary to go down to the reception area to get drinking water -- if a small kettle and cup could be provided, I would stay again.

Hotel for backpackers mainly.

Inaccessible to physically disabled visitors. I read the review and no one mentioned about the condition of the accommodation. Just \"small room\" was taught about.
I am on walker as I sprained my ankle and ligament torn. I reached the location and realised the Inn was converted from old building and reception was not located on ground floor. I needed to climb staircase and took lift to second floor to register. How could I move my luggage up the staircase.
Approached the staff, replied that insufficient manpower to help me carry the luggage. I checked out after 1-day stay and returned to same place three days later. This time another room was assigned, the air-conditioning unit was not cool enough after 30 minutes. I called for help, the staff came to check and stand himself under the fan coil unit. He said he felt cool enough. Said nothing he could do. Very impolite indeed.
To be frank, I should not complain for the price I paid for. I just hope management can look into the staff attitude and share the difficulties I had for my physically problem.

We stayed one night in a room for two. Room is small, but has everything: fan, towels, teethbrush, shower gel and shampoo! We didn’t use aircon as it was cool. Beds are comfortable, bedlinen is super clean and white! Sleep was comfortable, area is quite.

Staff is friendly, we were late ( check in after 11.30 pn) and notified receptionist, he waited for us without any problem!

Would be great to have more sockets.

I found the staff helpful. The young man who could speak English was very helpful as I had a bad ankle injury. The door in the room next to mine was very noisy and the lift closed on you as walking through. The rest was fine. Was good to be able to make a cup of tea. I would stay again.

This is my second stay after two years. I remember it to be clean and neat in a very compact room but this trip my daughter and I were rather disappointed . The air in the room is poorly ventilated and almost smelt like a damp basement that has not been opened for a long time. Fortunately the weather was cool enough for us to keep the windows opened except that the traffic was almost too loud for bed time.

Homy Inn is somewhere in-between hotel and hostel. You get a private room, but this is definitely Hong Kong style, where you step out of bed and into the washroom. The room is just large enough for a carry-on luggage and yourself.

I got a double bed. It was comfortable and I slept well through the night. A small TV is mounted above the bed, only a few channels to choose from, but a traveler should be out and about anyway and not inside watching TV. Air conditioning is mounted above the bed as well and it is very good! Not much space to store your clothing, the drawer is no bigger than a nightstand sock drawer, but there is under-bed storage.

If you feel a bit claustrophobic, you can hang out in the common area on the second floor. I didn't get a chance to check it out, but the staff mentioned that there was water and snacks there. The staff are very friendly as well.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It's on a main street steps away from MTR subway, buses (both local and long distance), and trams. If you don't feel like leaving North Point (it's in North Point, by the way, not Causeway Bay), everything is within a few minutes walk.
