Have you ever been treated like a thief in a hotel where room rates are $600+ a night? The Mondrian HK is the perfect example of a brand that is all marketing ZERO delivery. Check in was ok. Room was tiny even for HK standard. Mattress was Motel 6 quality. Avoca was understaffed with terrible service and management. Never went to a restaurant where there were more hosts than waiters. Breakfast was way subpar by HK standard. Eating breakfast in a \"night club\" is not my idea of luxury. The winning move was the check out. I was asked if I had consumed anything from the overpriced mini bar. I said no. Then was asked to sit on a bench (lobby looks like the waiting area at a mall toilet) while they checked the room to make sure I was not lying. After 15 mins I was cleared and declared NOT A THIEF and allowed to leave!! Wow what luxury! FYI - also offered free cocktails as a \"VIP\" when I checked in - but that never materialized when I spend $4000+ at the bar inviting my staff... All fake - \"Motel 6\" with lipstick on does not equal luxury!

The staff meet you at the front and lead you to the registration and help you with the luggage. The staff are super helpful to show you the subway, the laundromat etc. The foyer is small.

The premium harbor king size room was absolutely perfect. The view was unbelievable and there is so much to do in the area. The restaurant at the hotel is wonderful and the food was excellent. We had the most incredible time during our stay. I would have to say above all, the best part was the amazing staff. They had a personalized note waiting for us when we arrived, and they even had our names on the tv screen welcoming us. Every staff member went over and above every expectation we had to make our experience the most memorable and we were very impressed how important it was to everyone that we were most comfortable and that we had everything we needed at all times. We didn’t have to ask for anything because they were always prepared for everything and knew what we needed even before we knew. We are very pleased with every part of our stay.
