What a lovely hotel. A warm greeting at reception. The room was clean and fresh, with tea/coffee provided. Plenty of parking and it’s a good place for exploring the surrounding area and getting to a variety of venues.

Was a great property as was up at the NEC exhibiting. one thing for me personally was i struggled with the shower due to the height of the bath but thats it otherwise fantastic hotel. Will definitely be staying again

on a side note the fact that you can get fresh eggs or omelettes made for you in the morning was an amazing treat and thankyou belinda for cooking mine superbly

The staff were friendly and check-in was easy. Unfortunately, our room had no towels. When we called reception (using our mobile as the room phone wasn’t working), we were told towels were in the bathroom and slippers in the wardrobe. We double-checked, but there were none. Eventually, two towels were sent up, but the room phone was never replaced. A bit disappointing, as we’ve stayed here before and previously had really enjoyable visits.

The rooms were a big letdown

Beautiful lobby and restaurants with amazing food.
I would rate the lobby and restaurants 5 stars.

However, the rooms were a bit disappointing. Our double room was actually two single beds pushed together, and the beds kept shifting — it was a terrible experience trying to sleep comfortably.

The toilet in my room didn’t flush properly, and the carpet was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The windows also don’t open fully, which made it feel stuffy.

While the reception and restaurant areas were outstanding, the rooms were a big letdown.

We checked out and I informed the receptionist that the pressure in the shower was very poor and cold water, the bathroom hot tap was spluttering for 30 seconds before running properly and also there was an old toilet roll on the floor in the bathroom when we went in. My partner has also informed me that the sash window was broken- the cord was snapped and hanging down.

Lovely hotel, this was our third stay, it’s very convenient for the airport only being 10 mins away. Lovely comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Our last stay was after our return from our holiday. Our flight had a 3 hour delay which meant that we weren’t going to arrive until after 2.00am, t I rang and they very kindly waited for us to check in. Will definitely stay again.

Avoid room 218 as the bath plug gets stuck, the room telephone doesn’t work and the sash window is broken ( which resulted in an injury from which a friend is still recovering) No first aid was offered, not even a glass of water was offered.
Unfortunately we found the staff to be inattentive, lacking care and consideration and disinterested that a guest had been injured due to a broken window mechanism ( there was no signage to alert guests to the danger)
Needless to say, there will be no return visit.

Generally OK but this hotel lets itself down in minor details. Clearly has a considerable business clientele but no USB points in room and to plug anything in next to bed you had to disconnect bedside lamp. Internet seemed very erratic and could not get a O2 signal at all. Car park very full more or less all the time and as we came and went often difficult to find a space.

Poor showers.

I have stayed in this hotel more than 50 times. The staff are excellent as is the food. However they really need to address the issues with the shower pressure and temperature. Every time I stay I hear the same problems and colleagues also complain. The next time we stay, same problem. It is not acceptable for anyone to leave for work having not showered properly. The basin water is fine so clearly a problem elsewhere particularly on the higher floors.

Good location of you’re visiting the NEC. Typical British hotel with poor breakfast choices and a hotel design that peaked in 1988. Many wonderful gastro pubs within a short drive. Good value, many worse options.

Good location and comfortable hotel

Excellent location for NEC.Comfortable, spacious room, plenty of storage, large bathroom. Evening menu had plenty of choice, staff were friendly and food was very good but service was really slow: 45 minute wait for main course alone. Would stay again though. Worth noting that hotel is in area with low speed limits and lots of average speed cameras !

NOT pet friendly in most areas of the house

This hotel is advertised as pet friendly, however at check-in I was advised that dogs aren't allowed in the bar or the restaurant.
As I have a poodle X with separation anxiety leaving him in the room was not an option, so we had to find a pub nearby instead. However, I had already pre-booked breakfast, which went to waste.

This hotel really should not be advertised as pet friendly if half of the building is not!

I booked a family room that said had one double and one single. The single turned out to be a double sofa bed with a mattress so thin I've seen thicker dog beds. As a result, my child didn't sleep much. Our double wasn't much better, the bed had deffo seen better days. I slipped in the bath tub when I got in as I don't think it had been cleaned properly and it was very soapy. The walls are paper thin so we could hear next door's conversation til well past midnight.

Stay in a few BWs and this one was by far the best yet.
Lovely entrance/lobby, great clean and spacious rooms which were very clean.
Comfy bed.
Good breakfast.

Nothing more to ask for a nights stay for work

Note, carpark for hotel is through the gates on the right hand side of the building

Car broken into

One of the vehicles was broken into and items stolen, whilst the hotel did see the the vehicle being tampered with (8PM) they failed to tell us of the incident.

Average room , lovely quality reception and restau

The staff were all very nice and friendly but for a 4 star hotel the room was very dated, the third bed in the family room was a low quality put you up bed and the toilet didn’t flush properly.
The area around the restaurant was completely different , high quality very clean etc but as you walk to the back of the hotel it felt like a different hotel.

Was ok nothing to shout about

I Paid extra for a premium room ? I would not want to see what a basic room was like.
Mixer taps in the bath no bath mat to stop you from slipping around.
No USB for phone charging.
Had to search for the kettle.
As far as i am concered i had a basic room.

The room we had was dated in terms of furnishings and decor. It was also noisy, located next to the car park. The heater in the room was noisy during the night.
The restaurant and bar area are quite modern.
Breakfast was ok but busy and the buffet area is cramped.
Wouldn’t stay again.

The windows were the old sash type and rattled in the wind. We had to stuff tissue into the gap to stop them rattling. The towel rail and bathroom fan were not working. Overall we had a comfortable stay and we would stay again. The issues highlighted were minor and did not detract from our stay. I notified the receptionist upon checkout of the issues and she said she would inform maintenance. I feel the issues were easily rectified and had not been done as no one had notified them of the faults previously. Overall a very nice stay.

Stayed there a few times. Lovely modern hotel in a pleasant and convenient setting. The staff are always most considerate and the cuisine excellent. Rooms are pleasant. BUT******** This time there was a problem with the water pressure: bath dribble delivery, shower the same (for cold water and left me with just boiling hot). Toilet wouldn't flush well enough to clear waste. Cold tap failed to deliver drop of water one morning - if anyone in a nearby room uses cold water it seems to deprive others. I had to make sure that I took a bath either very early or very late to get a normally running one. Also in room 216 the temperature knob came off in my hand and wouldn't go back. Had to move to room 201. At least the staff were really good about it.

My partner and I come here every year for our anniversary,we love the friendly professional staff,the food in the Marco Pierre restaurant is delicous and the cocktails made by Rob are an absolute must,he definitely is a great mixologist,cannot fault this hotel, very safe and welcoming,great night's sleep too! Great stay spoilt by car being stolen

For the most part our stay was very good..We were staying at the Best Western Manor Hotel whilst attending the Grand Design 25th Anniversary Show at the NEC.
The room was very good, the reception staff were a bit sedate, I think because they had 2 weddings on and were busy. The Restaurant was very good, a beatiful meal & great staff.
Great comfy bed. Slept like a log.
The absolute downside was that when I got up, washed and sorted I found that my car had been stolen from the hotel car park. The reception manager wasn't overly helpful (3 times asked if he'd looked at the CCTV only to be told he'd been too busy) but we'd clearly watched him sat doing nothing.
Such a shame & still a week later not been in touch.
The hotel had CCTV and a hydraulic bollard for the car park yet still car stolen.
I hold Best Western responsible for the theft of my car as much as the thieves themselves.

Firstly I must say my rating is because the negatives out way the positives.

We did meet with a few amazing staff here and I can’t commend Clair on reception and the lovely lady who brought us room service , you are a true asset to the hotel.

Sadly the other encounters we’d not good. Having an ankle injury I asked where the lifts were to avoid the stairs to our room, I was told by the member of staff on reception at night check in the hotel did not have lifts, I reiterated my pain and struggle with my ankle and he said the stairs were the only option,- and n check out with a manger sadly I found not only was there a lift, I should have been offered a change of room, Where my access could have been far easily reached. Secondly on arrival to breakfast it was assumed there were 4 of us, I only booked for three, this did not sit well with me and I knew there would be something come of it, on checkout I was given a bill for just under £200 , so once I questioned this as everything was paid on arrival , it turned out I was charged for another room, this was quickly sorted out. On one of the beds we had black bugs, just a few but a few to many for me this was only noticed on the morning of check out , & one of my party had been itchy after the first nights sleep from the same bed in the family room. Small things also, not enough towels, phone didn’t work to use room service and on reporting from my mobile it was deemed a “dodgy phone” with no offer of assistance…………………

The hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I had a lovely relaxing time when i there. The only downside is they no longer except cash in the hotel for example when buying a single coffee or glass of wine.

Fantastic hotel, we stayed here to attend an event at the NEC which is only a short drive away so very handy for that.

The hotel itself looks great inside and out, room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious.

Breakfast was a buffet and was good.

Plenty of onsite parking as well.

Can't really fault it, recommended!

Lovely stay. This was a return to the hotel - it has a lovely ambience and the staff are warm and friendly. The room was clean and apart from one day (Sunday) where it looked like the cleaner had not got enough time to complete the daily room cleaning, we have no complaints. Would visit again definitely.
