Although we were unable to secure an accessibke room for my Mother, the staff were wonderful in accommodating us and were helpful and friendly. Great location, close to the beach an attractions. On street parking was a challenge but only because there are fireworks on Wednesdays during the summer.

Let down by the small things.

Booked room with seperate sitting area, was given top floor room, which was extremely warm due to weather and despite fan, affected us having a goodnights sleep, as a window couldnt be opened due to it being broken. Along with bed and sofa also being uncomfortable. If we could of cancelled the second night we would of done. After breakfast we were given the room below which was better, firmer bed, decent sofa, opening windows. Shower quite small and mould present in sealant, rusty radiator so would benefit a refurb.
Breakfast was £11 per person and which had to be chosen from a list, no food available to self serve, so basically a bowl of porridge would be £11 if thats what you chose. We had cooked breakfast and the food and preserves could have been better quality.
For the price of the room this in our opinion is poor.
The hotel itself was quiet and in a good location, although parking is few and far between depending when you visit.
On checking out we went to pay for the breakfast we had had, (although due to the issues of the first night thought it might have been nice to be given it complimentary, but no) in cash, to be then told it was card only, considering 2 days previously the world came to a halt due to IT issues, is this really a reasonable policy, cash is legal tender.
Overall this could be a excellent hotel, friendly staff, but let down by cost cutting in several areas.

Lovely hotel just a shame other houses up the street rather in disrepair and unpleasant, which is no reflection on the Andover which is well presented. Only problem couldn't open the window for fresh air they did supply a air conditioning fan.

I had excellent service from reception and bar/restaurant. Decor is attractive and lounge and rooms comfortable. Chef is excellent, dishes imaginative and tasty. Good breakfast.
Only negative is steep stairs to bedroom.

Great choice for an overnight stay

Great little hotel. So close to the front (2-3 minute walk to the Sea Life Centre) but far enough way from the main strip that you don't hear any noise from it.

Excellent friendly service, very clean and very good standard. Only had a one night stay so didn't use the bar but it looked very nice.

The only downside was the warmth due to no Aircon but I wouldn't expect a hotel of this nature to have it and they can't control the weather! It was amid the hottest week of the year.

Room and hotel very clean, tidy, comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the shower enclosure was small and had two sliding half doors that met on the corner when closed. When open, you only had room to step in sideways and diagonally. Area was good but end of street had lots of full, overflowing rubbish bins with overspill on the pavement. Didn’t try food or bar so can't comment. Would stay again but as both 50 would ask for 1st floor next time as 2nd floor was a bit much for old knees. Our fault as we didn't bother to ask as just 3 nights over a busy bank holiday.

We had a small double and it was smaller thank I expected but was lovely and clean and the shower room was great. A real asset for this hotel is the location, literally a minutes walk to the seafront.

Excellent location and Adult only. Its was a noisy room though, no 12. People passing on craky stairs etc. Light from the outside coming through the very light curtains and extremely hot. There was a fan in the room but it was very noisy to sleep with.
Good linen and bath towels. Nice bar area.

What a surprise !

Like a road and hotel / building from Kensington placed in the delights of Yarmouth . Was taken aback by the presentation and the staff members . So polite and cannot do enough. So well decorated and finished. Lovely bar and food available as required. A great little find and will visit again … the room I had was with a massive bay and was beautiful ( shower a little small but who cares as I fitted ). Surpassed my expectations and thanks to you all for making my stay pleasant. I almost felt at home … just something about theis place. …

Decided to stay in Great Yarmouth very last minute so although the price was high for a double room for one night considering the time spent in it and the area around was rather rough looking, we can understand as it is classed as high season. Very comfy bed, duvet and pillows and very clean. Good shower although small and helpful tea and coffee making facilities.
Cannot comment on the restaurant as sadly this was closed. We would stay here again if the cost was a little lower.

Ok but not what I expected for the money.

Initially stayed in room 7 and the room itself was nice. The bathroom was another matter! The shower was so small that both my daughter and I struggled to get in the shower cubicle and the water scalding one minute and freezing the next. The next morning I spoke to reception who kindly moved us to room 25,which had a much bigger walk in shower! The room was much nicer and had clearly been refurbished. The down side was that we couldn’t close the windows which resulted in us been woke up at 5am by the seagulls. I advised reception about it and hopefully they will get it sorted out. Overall the hotel was good, but for the price I would have expected better. Breakfast was good, although it’s £7.50 pp unless you book direct. We had food in the bar which was very nice, although the portion sizes were very small and it was very pricey. Parking was also tricky, which isn’t great when you’re tired from travelling. The staff were very friendly, although they got our breakfast order wrong twice. The area where the hotel was is a bit run down too and I was a bit worried about leaving my car around the corner from the hotel as there was no parking spaces free outside. Probably wouldn’t stay here next year.

Great location and hotel itself is presented really nicely. The breakfast was really good and staff were excellent (especially the waiters/waitresses).
Located literally 2 mins from beach it is a great location and saves having to drive anywhere, which is a good thing as Parking was a nightmare. We luckily found a space not too far away, but the hotel should make customers aware. Saying 'Parking available' is technically a true statement; but it is actually a case of there are parking spaces outside but these are shared with the other houses/hotels and people visiting Yarmouth, so you may be hunting around for a while.
Shower cubicle in our room was a tad tight to get into. Ok if you are slim build, not an issue, just one to be aware of.
Also (and this is out of the Hotels control so no bearing on them at all), there was two 'rank' (that is the only word to describe them) old fridges a few doors down from the hotel. Feel sorry for the hotel for having that outside.
The hotel itself is well presented, clean and I would recommend staying there.

Lovely suite, staff were excellent, bed was very comfortable, room and hotel overall was extremely clean and tasteful - with an outside seating area it made the whole experience really lovely.
Close to beach and all amenities, and well worth the price. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s definitely worth considering for your next stay.

A fantastic hotel with wonderful staff, the quality of the food from breakfast to the evening meal was just first class quality.
The room that we had was a ground floor king size bed en-suite bedroom.
It was spotless as was the bathroom, with lovely bedding.

The best hotel!!!

I first stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago ready for a planned visit to the local hospital. As soon as I arrived, the service was amazing. I was checked in very quick. Offered help with my bags, and they even called a taxi for my trip the next day. Beautiful, calm surrounding, friendly staff and I just felt settle instantly.
I have just come back from 2 nights at the Andover after some surgery. I was so well looked after. Water brought to my room, and people checking to see if i was ok. When I come back for further hospital visits I will never stay anywhere else now

The hotel has a great location right near the beach, Wellington Pier and the Sealife Centre, as well as a short walk from the Time & Tide museum.
Was welcomed with a friendly check-in, and staff were polite throughout. The room was clean and tidy, no dirt, sand or spiders!
There was plenty of room for my stuff, and the bed was nice and comfy/big.
If I had to have one complaint, it's that it's very easy to hear other rooms and their TVs.

I was dissatisfied with Hotels.com advertising as the pictures of the room selected and paid for wasn’t the same as advertised. The pictures shown are random ones of all rooms but the way it’s shown makes it look like the pictures are specific to the room listings. So what I was expecting to stay in wasn’t as good as advertised and looked like the listing of the cheaper room. To top it off the building was covered in scaffolding which wasn’t mentioned on the website before booking. The staff were pleasant and chatty and the hotel was clean. Also to add the radiator in the bedroom didn’t work and the shower pressure wasn’t the best either. I was a shame as the hotel on the website looked far grander than it actually was.
