1. The location is the best thing about this property.
2. Room was spacious but nothing fancy.
3. Support staff was very polite and helpful.

Cons
1. The elevator for our building was not working properly. We had to call some one to operate the elevator when we wanted to go to our room. And it only went up. To come down we had to use the stairs in the side alley which was filthy. This was highly inconvenient.
2. I asked 15 extra mins at checkout time of 11:00 AM which they denied very rudely.
3. The front desk staff , specially the night manager was very rude.
4. The hand held shower was leaking.

Overall I wish I could ask for refund for all the inconveniences.

No Transportation. Had to have Hotel Key Reconfigured each time I wanted in my room. I had extended my reservation due to Airport Inconveniences. And the Hotel Staff sold my Hotel room out from under me. Didn’t refund me either. I have a picture of the confirmation too. Stole all my property too. Along with The Supra too. But the Good Lord, will take care of them too!

Great Staff, Great View, Food is Great here. Servers are very nice and accommodating. Sometimes patience is needed because there’s others here too. There’s a few Hotties here too!

All kidding to the side. This is a very nice place. Very Clean. Elevators work nicely too. Beach is very clean. This is a Family Oriemted Place. I have only one concern, as I’ve had everywhere else. And that’s the door security. Between rooms on joining rooms. And the Latch at Main Door. It’s easily bypassed too.

firstly there was no phone in our room which will explain a lot
we wanted to stay on the 5th floor but the elevator only went one way-not both up and down
in the reception elevator it said their certificate had expired
the room keys-mostly never worked so each time this happened we had to go down to the reception to get a new key
the tv rarely worked-3x they came up to fix it and each time we had to go down to the reception
the receptionist told me if we ate breakfest at their restaurant we would get a 15% discount--the server wouldnt honor this
the toilet ran continually-it was never fixed and each time we had to go to the reception
their add said there was a gym-the gym was 5 blocks away-not convenient
the safe didnt work-not convenient
add all this up for $2K+for 3 nites-pathetic
can expedia remburse us at all for something to justify this terrible experience?

Everything was wonderful! They have beach chairs you can carry to your desired spot on the beach. The live music every night was great. The ONLY issue was the women's bathroom in the lobby, to me it feels it is lacking the same attention as the rest of the hotel. But other than that, the rooms look as pictured and we would definitely stay again in the future!

I had booked a room at hotel ocean for one night 15 minutes before I get there I get a call saying the rooms were over booked but they booked me at another hotel named becan which was horrible the elevator didn’t work the carpet in the lobby was dirty the rooms didn’t have any wash rags the bathroom was horrible the shower head was leaking and the funny thing is this was supposed to be there sweet.luckily I only was staying for one night

The hotel has an infestation of drain flies. The facility needs to have a professional exterminator come regularly to spray and get rid of that issue. I had to get rid of several of those drain files, a few spiders and a roach.

An older property. Easy check-in and check out. A little harder to find as it is tucked between restaurants. No parking on site, but there is a parking garage a block away. The room was nice and clean with a small ocean view. Hallways in the secondary building smelled mildewy. The room was conveniently located near the beach and numerous restaurants. There was loud music past 2 am.

I really liked Hotel Ocean because it was convinient to walk to restaurants and also to the beach. The location is excellent. The hotel staff is friendly. The hotel is clean. The hotel has great service, they had a bottle of champagne for us for our visit. I will come back to this hotel in the future. It is great!

Avoid at all costs – filthy, unsafe, and dishonest

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was disgusting—dirty, poorly maintained, with mold in multiple areas, stained sheets, and bed bugs. Loud music blared all night, making it impossible to sleep. We were so disturbed by the conditions that we had no choice but to check out early.

We were promised a refund for the remaining nights but have yet to receive it. To make matters worse, when I asked for a manager, Dafne at the front desk flat-out refused to provide contact information and claimed no manager was available. I have photos to prove everything and am shocked that this place is still operating. Absolutely unacceptable.

The location of the hotel is the only good thing about it.. but they dont have a working contact number like a phone which is a must they dont have a phone so if you are trying to reach them before you arrive no one will ever answer the phone and the same after you leave .. the staff are not helpful at all beside that they dont speak english so communication is very little.. for room service you have to call them every hour to remind them for what you asked for and it will come after some time as they have few staff

On May 8, 2025, I made a reservation to stay one night in your hotel via Expedia. I requested a room with ocean view and a balcony. Mightily costly if I may add.

Unfortunately, the room with the ocean view was more like a room with a view to a roof. The room was on the fourth floor and the ocean view was totally obstructed by the roof in front of us.

The only way to see a bit the ocean was by standing in the left corner of the balcony. If we sat down all we could see was the roof.

The balcony was shared and with no privacy. Wish I had been advised of this when I made the reservation.

I wonder how is it that your hotel has over 1000 reviews while another hotel very close to you only has 200.?

The condition of the furniture in the room was not the best, with visible damage to the furniture due to humidity.

In conclusion, the valet parking offered by your hotel was imaginary. I ended up hustling looking for parking.

Finally and to be fair, the piña coladas were great.

Hotel Ocean is in a great location. Directly across the street from the beach, it’s perfect. They offer beach chairs and towels, which is helpful and courteous. They provide daily bottled water as well. The room is spacious with a decent sized shower and bathtub. We had some issues with the AC snd they provided us with a portable AC, which was helpful. The hotel could use some slight updates here and there, but it’s kept clean and comfortable. The restaurant was decent, but a little pricey. You can get a discount as a hotel guest. All and All we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ocean.

I realized I way overpaid for my stay. It came out to around $300 per night. I was expecting a luxury hotel accommodations for that money, but it was less than your average 3 star hotel. The good: room was clean and no smell. The reception was friendly and polite. Walking distance to dining, shopping, beach, pharmacy. Night entertainment. The disappointing: room was almost bare, the tiny work table didn't even had a lamp, and barely any room for laptop. No coffee maker, nothing to boil hot water with. One of the two faucets didn't eork so well. The worst for me was the heavy too warm blanket that make me wake up numerous times at night covered in sweat, no matter how low the AC. I figured to raise the AC to 72 and sleep uncorered. During my 1 week stay in Miami, i stayed in 3 hotels due to family reunion, and none if the other cheaper hotels were so disappointing. I would've complain if the hotel wasn't so expensive. Also, they need to offer better coffee/hot water options. The area is very busy and crowded, can be lots of fun if thats what you're looking for. I prefer a less congested and more private location.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was lovely and we were so glad we'd booked the balcony with the ocean view as it was spectacular. They do have a late 4pm check in, which is later than most, but they stored our luggage. The location is really good, and it was quiet in our room despite being in a lively area. We ate at the restaurant onsite which was very nice, with a great vibe. We did have an issue with the prices though so beware. We were given a discount for being hotel guests, and paid a discounted price, but when it settled on our card every time the price reverted to the higher one, so very unhappy about that. Maybe use cash for dining.

I had stayed at Hotel Ocean approximately 25 years ago, so was hopeful that it had retained it's charm, I was not disappointed. The room with king size bed was perfect, very comfortable, plenty of closet space. The bathroom was very spacious. They even have beach chairs and towels to pick up in the lobby, which I did. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Hope that it will not be another 25 years before I go back to this charming SoBe hotel.

We were here for just one night. It was a hopping place to be. Island vibe music started about 8:30 am (could hear in the room from outside). Party/dance vibe music at night. If you are looking for quiet, this is not the place. If you are looking for activity, lots of people watching, walkable access to the beach, and lots of food choices within walking distance this is your spot.

The hotel provided towels and beach chairs and bottled water when we were ready to head to the beach.

Bed was comfortable. Room was very clean. We were in the handicap accessible room, so the bathroom did not have a door (wide entry) and the shower was sort of \"in the corner\" but not totally closed off. It was fine for us. If you prefer total privacy when you are in the bathroom, you would not want this type of room.

I would stay here again if we were in the area.

No pool. But the beach was across the street and a short walk.

We had a family emergency and tried numerous times to call the hotel and sent a fax. We received no response from the hotel. When we finally made it to the hotel we found out the hotel was under construction and all of the phones were down in the hotel. This also meant if there was an issue in the room you could not call for assistance . Our tv did not work properly. The tissues in the bathroom were wet. Once we went downstairs the staff rectified what they could. The staff were a pleasure to deal with, but it was a very awkward stay. We paid alot of money for a hotel under construction and having this many issues

It is a nice place with a cool restaurant/bar downstairs. The location is amazing. The rooms are spacious, which is unusual for the area and very nice. The downside is the bathroom, which was obviously designed by someone who enjoys watching their family members defecate, which is hard for most of us to understand.

It was crazy when we arrived at the motel. There was no parking at the motel for starters. The hotel sits very close to other hotels and restaurants around it. There was people walking and sitting everywhere along the front of the hotel and lots of
cars. A lot of confusion. My friend dropped me off to go and check in. I had to walk past people eating to find the door that went into the front desk to check in. They told me we had to park in the garage around the block. So after circling the block a couple times we were able to get into the parking garage. Then we had to drag our luggage from the parking garage across the street, along the side walk, around to the front of the motel, through tons of people eating and milling around, up some steps to get back to the front office. It was not fun. Then they told us our room was not ready yet and it was four o’clock by then and that was check in time. So we had to sit and wait to get into our room. Our room turned out to be set up for someone with a handicap. I went back down to the front desk to see if we could up grade to another room and they said the hotel was booked so they had no other room available. Our room was also located right next to loud music and people who were talking and laughing into the night. For an older couple this was not what we wanted. I would never want to stay in this hotel again.

This hotel advertised Ocean FRONT with a balcony on hotels.com - we booked an Ocean FRONT room. When we checked in they put us in an Ocean VIEW with a balcony. When I talked to front desk they said they didn't have any Ocean FRONT available although that is what we paid for and booked. They refused to do anything about it.

Hotel had a nice lobby and staff were friendly. However the oceanfront room I booked was a partial ocean view not really what you would expect for an oceanfront view. You see mostly roof. The shower also has very weak pressure. Be prepared to shower in drips.

The staff was extremely nice here. From holding our luggage early before check-in, to even getting into our room early. The night staff was equally as nice when we encountered them. Seemed a bit odd to walk through the middle of customers eating at the restaurant to get to the lobby, but it was actually pretty quiet once you get passed them and the music. I would definately stay here again if we are ever back in Miami Beach.

If i could give this place 100 stars I would!! Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. All the staff were extremely nice and accommodating especially Alex!!!
