I love the property , room and staff so much .Everything was perfect except lift bec going up and down to 3rd floor with bags is difficult but going up the lovely staff help me to take my luggage but coming down it’s hard but overall it’s was perfect and bed is really comfortable.I really liked it and going back next wk again

Very nice and clean place, and the bed was very comfortable. However, I didn't sleep well, as the hotel room doors slammed constantly. The doors do not soft close. They are heavy and they slam. This needs to be addressed. I would stay here again if I knew they could fix this issue.

Just got home from a 3 night stay. Stayed here quite few times.Normally stay with son and have 2 seperate rooms.On this occasion i was staying on my ownThis room was the best so far .Very spacious.and clean.House keeping came to room daily and were very polite.
Breakfast lady very chatty,She always very polite and always cheerful,can have good laugh with her.Apologies I know I've stayed several times but I'm just no good with names. Breakfast was ok and always plenty of food and variety of drinks.
Nice staff on reception.
Easy quick check in and out.
Plenty of parking .
I know the hotel does look bit shabby on outside and some rooms are bit dated and repairs are needed,but couldn't really fault this room.
The entrance is to side of hotel and i know the entrance is open at night ,but I can honestly say I felt safe there even on my own.Thanks Barons court staff for making me feel welcome yet again.

The Lidl over the road was very handy. I tried adjusting the television and a toilet roll fell down from the bracket. No bath towel on the first night, just two hand towels.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was nice but the hotel could do with updating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful,but this is the only plus for the Hotel, the room was very tired and dated,the room below housed a number of males who talked all night and into the early hours,so much so i had to use ear plugs to try and sleep,the reception is to the side of the building as the front entrances are no longer used,the car park looks like a disused carpark,i didnt have the breakfast,as i didnt want to stay any longer than needed

Cheap and cheerful. As others have said it needs a revamp inside and out. The room and bed was clean, done the job for me as I was only staying to get my head down and leave early for work the next day. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a family or a few days stay though.

On first seeing the hotel in person I was a bit apprehensive as from the outside it appears very run down. Free parking onsite is a bonus. We received a warm welcome at reception, room was clean and had everything we needed, we slept well. Breakfast was great. Overall great value for money.

We were looking for a hotel in the area and this one was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area. Our room was clean and had coffee and tea available the only downside was in the bathroom where the shower slider was loose making it difficult to shower.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, it became immediately apparent that the property bore little resemblance to what was advertised, and the experience caused significant distress to my family. On arrival, the front of the hotel appeared derelict and closed, with no visible signage, no other guest vehicles, and a police van parked outside. After driving around the side of the building we eventually located the reception entrance, however we were alarmed by groups of intoxicated individuals loitering around the entrance, and we did not feel safe even parking our car. As we entered the hotel, two police officers were leaving the premises, which further heightened our concerns. Despite these issues, we proceeded to check in and went to view our allocated rooms (319 and 325). While walking up to the third floor, the corridors and stairwells had extremely strong and unpleasant odours. Upon entering the rooms, the following issues were evident.One room had a broken shower, with the shower head wrapped around the bath taps
One room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke
The rooms felt unclean and poorly maintained
The rooms were clearly not representative of the photographs advertised on Expedia
I returned to reception to request alternative rooms. Unfortunately, only one alternative room was available, which we gave to our daughter as she felt extremely unsafe. While returning to our car to collect our luggage, we encountered a visibly intoxicated woman with blood on her clothing

When I arrived at the hotel I found what looked like a closed down building with no other cars. I then walked round the building where I found a man urinating in the car park and found another entrance. I went to reception and rang a doorbell that was on the desk as there was no one around. 3 rings and 10 minutes later a kind young man turned up and offered to help me with my bags which was the only pleasant experience I had. He informed me that the lift was broken and just to follow the signs. The doors to the floor were wide open and 3 men were stood staring by the entrance. We walked through cigarette smelling corridors, finally found the room and slightly turned the key in a flimsy yale lock that felt unsafe and as if a small child could push it open. The room STANK and was boiling hot even though the radiators were cold. I went to open the window for fresh air and was met with used condoms and cigarette ends and screws on the ledge infront of the window. My friend then got locked in the bathroom from the inside and I had to let her out. We found cloudy water coming from the tap. On further inspection the mattress and curtains had visible blood and other bodily fluid stains on them. I was scared for my safety and decided to leave after 20 minutes and did not come back. To charge £70 for that is absolutely disgusting!!

Quite old building and facilities but kept in good condition. Could’ve done better.

Staff requires more training on how to welcome and service guests rather only taunt them with exit time or to pay £20 an hour…

The welcome was warm at the reception and my room was huge with a sitting area and bedroom space.
The hotel seems to be going through a revamp. My room was very clean and well presented although the carpet showed signs of age and had some spots.
I stayed because I was attending a party nearby and just needed a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable which was the most important thing.

Room 1, tv not working, heating on full blast and shower had split at the root so no water coming out. Swapped for room 2 and shower was broken so then after the breakfast managed to shower in room 3 floor 3. The heating was extremely poor last night but I had given up but then. I will not spend another night there as the amenities are so shocking. Who cleans the baths and doesn’t report the broken showers???

This place is not fit for purpose, how it is still being run as a hotel is beyond belief. The place is filthy dirty and unsafe. Booked for 3 nights but couldn't stay due to the condition of this place. It actually looks like it's closed down as you approach it. Didn't stay, booked into a premier inn instead.
Do not go by the pictures on Hotels.com. I am surprised Hotels.com have this place on their system and I would suggest they need to review it. Have reported to health authority.

Pleasantly surprised as some of the reviews online initially left me worried.

Whilst the exterior of the hotel and some parts of the communal areas would never win a beauty contest, my room was very nice, bed extremely comfortable and nothing really to complain about apart from near non-existent TV reception and the lack of an in-room hairdryer (I assume this would've been available to request from reception).

Unlike a lot of hotel rooms today, this room was actually heated with a traditional radiator rather than air conditioning system, but the room had that as well had it been summer. One thing I noticed as I walked down the corridors was how nice and toasty warm, the place was.

A freshly cooked to order breakfast was available in the morning, which was a good quality and reasonable choice of cereals, pastries, and toast. Service was prompt and friendly.

The hotel also has quite a large restaurant lounge area including some of the ugliest lights you'll ever see in your life - but once you get use to the decor in places, you'll soon realise that it's actually really good value for money.

At the time of my stay, the hotel was not providing evening meals. However, they do permit food deliveries and there is a large Lidl supermarket literally across the road.

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a poor experience from start to finish. The staff seemed disorganised and unsure of what was happening, giving the impression that the hotel is either in special measures or certainly needs to be.

Breakfast was particularly bad. There were no plates, no cutlery, and shockingly a member of staff was making themselves toast and eating it in front of us. We were told the night before that a full English breakfast would be available, only to find out the next morning that it isn’t served on Mondays. The whole experience felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests.

Tables were left dirty with old plates and tissues, and even after we left they still hadn’t been cleared. We stayed 5–6 years ago and the decline since then is extremely noticeable. No restaurant or bar available either, which was another disappointment.

Overall, a very underwhelming stay and a real shame given how good it once was

Bed was comfortable and room had all the usual amenities ( tea , coffee, Kettle etc ) and a TV with free view channels .
Breakfast was good too with all the usual suspects of full English breakfast.
There is a LIDL supermarket directly opposite hotel which can be convenient if you want to top up on groceries .

Stayed for one night and will definitely go back again.

The rooms are clean apart from some stains. The TV system is poor in 303. No news and limited channels with a remote that will keep on switching the tv on if switched off. Only recourse was to switch it off at the plug.
The shower, ocean needs work to it, first room had now shower capacity at all.

when arrive the hotel looks abandoned, the halls are disgusting with food lying about and stains all over carpets. the shower did not work at all, moved room and shower was warm, the room was filthy, stains all over carpets and towels, bin not emptied from previews guest. mould on windows, receptionist did not seem to care and said there was no one else there as manager was away abroad for the week which i think was lies. checked out after the first night and refused to refund , this hotel is the worst i have stayed in and should be closed

Upon arrival, we were asked for a reference number, but the receptionist couldn’t locate our booking using the one provided. She assumed it might be under a different address, though our confirmation clearly showed this location. I eventually had to give her my surname for her to find the booking. The room is acceptable for the price, but it’s poorly lit, especially near the bathroom area, and there aren’t enough power outlets. Additionally, the shower wasn’t connected, despite there being a shower head installed. The staff member at checkout was lovely and cheerful. The location is excellent, the area is pleasant, and the room offers a beautiful view. There is also ample parking available.
