Spacious room, helpful staff. Some more attention needs to be given to reduce use of single use plastics e.g.plastic straws (which are banned in Europe), move towards soap/shampoo dispensers rather than individual tubes and improve signage on reef to prevent people walking on it.

Barcelo Tiran Sharm hotel is in a slightly secluded location. The main reception is a good 10 minutes walk from the gated entrance. It is difficult to get to Sharm el Seikh from the hotel due to lack of affordable transport. The only option to go to town is by ridiculously expensive taxis, even if they were booked by the hotel’s own limousine service. Rooms are clean, room service is excellent, the hotel grounds are well maintained, grass and flower beds are beautifully manicured. Good choice of food, but all of the alcoholic drinks are substandard quality, there is room for improvement in this department.

V friendly staff but often some of them are trying to sell you something or seeking tips. The hotel is a bit in need of a refresh and the facilities are limited. Also, the haggling at the shops on the hotel premises can get very frustrating. There are no set prices for anything.

The hotel really needs updating. The facilities are old and need modernising. It all looks a little sorry and in need of TLC. As it is on a coral reef, access to the beach is limited to a small part of the beach with people going downstairs at 4.30 to claim the beds by the water.
The food is really not what we expected but the staff were mostly nice.

Nice hotel. Some parts a bit worn. Pool and beach area are great. Beds a bit hard. Taps and shower not working the best. Staff were great. Very helpful and attentive. Tipping is obviously expected. People selling the services can get a bit much. Especially the beauty salon guy. Trying to sell a bald man a haircut and nails.

We had an amazing stay. Although the property is a bit outdated the atmosphere overall was fantastic. Very pleasant and engaging staff, wonderful facilities , food was good also but it could do with more varieties.
Sharm is amazing and we looking forward to go back.

Barcelo was an amazing hotel to stay at in Sharm El Sheikh. The staff were very warm and generous. They consistently went the extra mile to make my partner and I feel welcome. I celebrated my birthday here and as soon as Basem found out, he arranged a little cake with a candle and the staff sang as well for me. I would definitely recommend. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff and especially Mostifa, Basem, Hassar and Mahmoud at the restaurant and bar. We spent a week here and at the end we did not want to leave! Hope to be back soon.

Wonderful long stay!

今回は70日間、リモートワークをしながら滞在しました。
残念な点もあったもののトータルの評価としては大満足の95点です。
特にクリスマスからハッピーニューイヤーにかけてのレストランメニュー（ランチ・ディナー両方）はとても素晴らしく、キューバ歌手やアルゼンチン舞踊団を招いてのショーはとても楽しかったです。
プライベートビーチもNabq保護公園に位置していて、ビーチエントリーからのシュノーケリングで無数の魚と珊瑚礁を楽しめます。
また併設されたダイブセンターBlue Planetには多くのダイビングプログラムが用意されていて、特にプライベートボートでのダイビングは最高。
ややお値段ははりますが、自分たちのグループだけのプライベートだし、行きたいダイブスポットもリクエストできて、熟練ガイドのラマダンがその日の流れやコンディションを考慮してガイドしてくれます。幸運にもハナゴンドウクジラの群れがいるとの情報を船頭さんがキャッチして遊覧してくれたりとプライベートならではのサプライズでした。
ホテルスタッフもみなフレンドリーで優しく、いつもちょうどいい距離感で気遣ってくれました。
最初の頃はビーチやプールサイドでのエステなど客引きにうんざりしたけど、行きたい時には自分から行くからとハッキリ断ってからはもう言ってこなくなり、勧誘ではなく自然に会話できるようになりました。こちらの意志をハッキリ伝えれば、何の問題もなく付き合えます。
レストランでも長期滞在の私たちが飽きないようにとパスタを毎日、味変してくれたモハメッドさんなど、70日間もいたので、ここには書ききれないほどたくさんの素敵な思い出があります。
バルセロの全員にありがとうと伝えたいです。
こちらのホテルは高級ホテル過ぎず、でもスタッフも施設もサービスも料理も素晴らしい、プチ贅沢なホテルです。
美しい紅海のシャルムを楽しみたいなら超オススメです。

We stayed at Barcelo for our honeymoon and it was lovely! The food was great and the beach is beautiful. The rooms were very clean and we were welcomed with a lovely cake! although it did take a couple calls to get toothpaste brought to us, we were sent a fruit plate as an apology for the tardiness!

The view was great, it was nice to have coffee and look out onto the water.
We had several issues in our room (outlets not working, toilet leaking, and a very slow draining sink). After 4 phone calls and going down to the registration desk twice, some came a fixed two outlets and said someone else would be by to fix the rest, nobody ever came back. We spent the whole week constantly mopping up the bathroom floor, making sure we didn't overflow the sink just by washing our hands, and constantly switching things that needed to be plugged in into the only two working outlets. The staff was not friendly or helpful with these issues.

Resort is extremely lacking...

The customer service we received at this resort was awful. We had airport transportation pre-arranged with them and they forgot to pick us up. Their damage control was awful and I did not think refunding us one way was enough.

Your choice for food is only a buffet and the food is horrible.

The Egyptian hospitality we know and love is non-existent at this resort. You get hounded no matter where you go in the resort, being bothered to buy extra services even after you firmly tell them NO. The staff is not warm and welcoming.

I had so many issues with this hotel but don't have it in me to go into complete detail. I visited this resort to see if it's somewhere I would ever send my clients (I am a travel agent) and I will NEVER EVER send someone to this place. I highly recommend AGAINST booking this resort. There are so many better options in Sharm with better customer service, better food and a better location.

We came from Cairo to stay a few days at the Barceló. The resort was definitely better than we expected. The front desk manager Walid was just a gem. He went above and beyond for us. Overall great experience. Beautiful pool and beach.

Fantastic Hotel , staff and amenities

Stayed 10 nights from 31st August and we ( went with my daughters) were treated as VIP by every member of staff that we came into contact with.
Beach a few steps from the Hotel. Beautiful views. Massive clean pool with more then plenty of sun beds.
Food good and staff went out of their way to meet our Vegetarian needs.
To name a few staff who were fantastic..Mohammed from Housekeeping who kept our room spotless ( room 4211). Mohammed and Ahmed in the Bar who were very entertaining. Will definately visit again.

I didn't enjoy my stay. Lots of things went wrong.

I had to move rooms twice as the showers didn't work. The music at the pool and beach was far too loud. There were lots of Russians who kept pushing in to the queue and being really agressive. The food wasn't very good either. And they took about 20 minutes to bring you a drink at the table. Definitely not 5 star. I left and went to another hotel.

Tiran Sharm hotel has a lot going for it with some excellent and very helpful members of staff - especailly the 'also-rans'. The main problem that you are not informed about in advance is that it is so far out of the main town that it is very expensive to go elsewhere for meals by the time you have added on the two-way taxi fare.The only real option is to go full inclusive from the start - not easy to change once you are there! The hotel is run by an Italian company and the whole focus is Italian - nothing bad in that but it does mean that you need to accept that many of the staff struggle communicating in English. Also the food has a strong Italian bias. The food is of a decent quality, especially for a running buffet-type meal but it is a little too much the same each day. Trip are organised well, but again there is a strong Italian focus in communication. The one thing that I cannot understand is why the hotel has its whole schedule one hour ahead of the rest of the country. It is difficult to work out when events are as sometimes (e.g. flights) you need to work on Egyptian time but at others (e.g. meals, end of bar service etc) you have to work on hotel time - and it is easy to be caught out! Having said all that, the hotel is very well organised and there are a lot of activities if you want and plenty of relaxing pools, sun-space etc. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time within the large, seafronted hotel area and all will be well!

If looking for a quiet 5 Star hotel this is the one, it has everything,
Pools outside your room, large commumial pool and small kids pools, and a lovely beach, and plenty of sunbeds.
All staff were plesant, frendly and helpfull.
Plenty of activities throughout the day for all age groups.
Entertainment in the evening every night.
Food was to a good standard.

The only draw back is the distance to any towns although only approx 15 mins for airport by taxi

Have a happy stay.

If you are looking for a resort in Sharm El Sheikh, the best is Tiran Sharm Hotel. I would definitely rate it as 5 Stars as the food is great, you have a variety of pools to choose from and the staff is just what one would hope for. Asem the bartender is a true example for the hotel and its service. What more would one want of a vacation filled with great service, excellent beach, snorkeling and fun filled day with many activities to choose from thanks in part to the Animation staff.

Don't look too closely

During our stay the hotel was full, so this may in-part have added to our experience. Previous reviews have stated that the hotel was spotless unfortunately this was not our findings. The dining experience was a total nightmare with the hotel operating a 'Every man for himself' policy on finding a clean table and geting your drinks. In the bars the quality of the sprits was apalling, and the plastic glasses used in the pool/beach bar have definately seen better days.

Best place to snorkel in Sham El Shank

Great location on the beach. All inclusive had a great menu. Bar liquior was weak. If you don't mind walking, local restraunts just 10 - 15 minutes from the resort. We had reserved a fullocean view with King size bed, did not get all the request. after haggling with the manager for two days, we received a full ocean view with twin beds.

I had a wonderful time at the Tiran Sharm. The hotel was excellent, superb room and fantastic pool area. But what made it really special was the staff. They were all so friendly and really made you feel welcome, especially the guys at the pool bar who were great fun. I also met a lot of very nice people during my stay and it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. I would definitely recommend the Tiran Sharm to anyone looking for a top hotel for a relaxing holiday.
There isn't really anything in the surrounding area, but with everything you could want at the hotel there was no need to venture out.

Reluctant All inclusive

The staff in the hotel are great, they are happy you are there and they want you to have a good time!

The management However don't want you to experience the delights of 'All Inclusive'. In reality they don't want to be an all inclusive hotel. They have 5 restaurants on site but you are only able to use the main dinning room (very repetitive / low cost menu ) + one visit to one of the themed restaurants per stay. Extra use of the 'empty' themed restaurants have to be paid for. There is also a lunch barbecue at an extra charge on the beach. Afternoon snacks at the pool bar are terrible(left over lunch in rolls) and are resentfully served, and children are reluctantly served at the bars.

Its a shame that the leadership of this hotel undermine the hard work/good will of their staff. If you don't want to be All inclusive Hotel then be honest with your customers and market your hotel as a BB or Full Board.

Recension av Barceló Tiran Sharm – En oförglömlig

Jag hade en fantastisk vistelse på Barceló Tiran Sharm! Hotellet överträffade alla förväntningar – från service och personal till mat, poolområden och den avslappnade atmosfären. Rummen var rena, fräscha och mycket bekväma. Personalen var alltid hjälpsam, leende och gjorde allt för att man skulle känna sig välkommen.

Det som verkligen gjorde resan speciell var hotellets egna korallrev precis vid stranden. Att kunna snorkla direkt från stranden och mötas av färgglada fiskar och vackra koraller var helt magiskt – en upplevelse man annars behöver åka båt för att få!

Maten hade ett stort utbud och något för alla smaker. Poolerna och strandområdet var välskötta och gav både plats för avkoppling och aktivitet. Dessutom är läget perfekt för den som vill ha lugn och ro men ändå kunna uppleva allt det vackra Sharm el Sheikh har att erbjuda.

Jag kan varmt rekommendera Barceló Tiran Sharm till alla som vill ha en minnesvärd semester med både komfort och unika upplevelser. Jag ser redan fram emot att återvända!
