Staying at the Adina Apartment Hotel at Mascot is always a pleasure. We often use it to overnight before an early flight. It's ideally located with many restaurants in the immediate vicinity, the train station is a 2 minute walk away and the domestic airport a 5 minute taxi or Uber ride away.

Reception staff were very good, but much clearer communication about the actual pick-up point for the airport shuttle is needed. Note: most patrons would assume the ‘front’ of the building would be the street level where the main stairs are used to get to the foyer - not the ramp entry at the side/back of the building).
All in all a pleasant experience.

Great location two blocks from the train which will take you to the airport or into the center city in just a couple of stops. Plenty of restaurants in the pleasant surrounding neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and attractive with kitchenette amenities.

We were on the second floor, and there appeared to be some water damage in the hallway, so it was a little moldy smelling, but the unit itself was perfect for what we needed. Other than the smell in the hallway, everything else was fantastic.

Overall it was good stay. It is close to mascot train station and airport. If you are going to airport from there, take the public bus or uber it. I didnt get any room upgrade as part of VIP because there was only 1 room left and staff asked for $50 for this upgrade (didnt expect that). What i didnt like abt the hotel is the smell in corridors. It smell horrible! Room inside is decent sized. Bed is a single bed (i had twin studio) and it wasn't soft which is what i prefer.
I would stay again in the future due to location and proximity to cbd!

I stayed two night in a standard room (Friday and Saturday). I was not offered an upgrade to a studio room as a VIP with Expedia.
The bedside lamp bulb was burnout, no milk in the fridge for coffee the next morning. When I returned from a day visiting Sydney CBD, my room was not made up. When I went to discuss this matter with the reception staff, they told to that in the fine print and now that they are a service apartment accommodation, they only clean rooms every four day. I do not recommend this hotel if you want a typical hotel stay!

The property is only a few hundred metres from Mascot station, making it convenient for visitors to catch the train to the airport terminals. It is also very close to a number of good restaurants and cafes. There is an Asian restaurant attached to the hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet.

Put the chain lock on the door!

This hotel is super convenient to the train station and the airport. We have stayed here a few times. It suits the purpose, and there is plenty of room.
The last time we stayed in this hotel, we were woken up by house keeping, and then they opened the door to come in. Then later we were still in bed and housekeeping knocked and opened the door again. Then again later with the do-not-disturb sign posted outside the door, housekeeping knocked again and opened the door while I was getting dressed! So stay at this hotel at your own risk.

Convenient and comfortable

Have stayed at the Adina Apartments in Mascot many times. Either before or after a trip as an airport shuttle is available (at a small cost). Often when meeting up in Sydney I prefer to stay here as it’s only a five minute walk from the railway station and a ten minute train ride to the city.
Stayed in interconnecting rooms as we were four friends who required a bed each - 4 single beds provided which
were very comfortable.

They control your heater and turn it off on you

Where to start… we stayed here for 4 nights, we spent a entire day up in the mountains at the snow only to come back and find the windows open in our room and the room absolutely freezing! Tried to turn the heater on but they had restricted the use of our heater/aircon. Tried calling reception but no answer as it was getting late, so we froze all night and had barely any sleep. Tried to find a spare blanket in the cupboards and there were none, our doona didn’t even have a cover on it the whole time. No spare towels either. Our microwave didn’t work so the meals we brought couldn’t be cooked. Their website states laundry service and facility’s. Asked reception where we could wash our washing and they point to down the street at a laundromat. We were not walking down the street with our dirty undies and socks! All electronics in the room were very dated. Room service did not come and give us fresh sheets or towels on the 3rd day as stated on their website we had to call and ask. But the main thing was the heater, they control your heater from down stairs, they can turn it off when they please and change the temp on you. Asked them to turn it on for us as we were freezing only to get to hot and then not be able to turn it off!! Absolutely ridiculous, we are paying for the room and the amenities we should be to use the heating whenever we like and turn it off when ever we like!

I really appreciated being able to check in early. This enabled me to leave my bags and head to the city.
The bed was super comfortable.
Mascot station is only a short walk, giving great access to the city.
The airport shuttle was excellent too.
I recommend staying here as the hotel is conveniently located between the city and airport with good transport connections

We only stayed for one night. Shops and restaurants are all walking distance. They even have a playground nearby in Mascot community. Train station and bus stops are also within 5 mins walking distance. Airport was like 10 mins away. You can uber or Lyft easily. Unfortunately the hotel is longer provide their own airport transfer service states in the hotel description.

Room itself is clean. Quiet, very helpful and welcoming staff. The gym is very tiny, but the equipments are clean. Check out time is at 11am, and they can hold our luggages until our flight is ready.

Good price for this stay

We often stay in Mascot between Domestic and International flights. Our options are this Adina or one of the two Meritons, all of which are excellent and similar so it comes down to price. The Adina is the most convenient for bus access but is often the most expensive. On this occasion, the Adina price was the best.

For an airport hotel I was surprised the room wasn’t sound proof
It was also very expensive to catch a cab on arrival, but after a 24 hour flight we didn’t want to wait for the transfers

Returning on an International flight it was a convenient and close location from the International Terminal.

It was a shame the dining room/bar was not available for breakfast due to work being done on it.
