We had booked a king room for two nights. Unfortunately it did not suit us and the wonderful Susie moved us to the garden wing which was excellent. King bed was so comfortable and a big bathroom. Large screen TV and the room was huge. Our first night was up the short driveway to the cabin like rooms. So strongly recommend the garden wing which is closer to the restaurant and the grand hall with the open fireplace. There is another guest lounge with open fireplace which was so cozy. Breakfast was excellent with good variety. We ate dinner in Katers restaurant and the food was excellent. All the staff were very efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay again but in the garden wing.

Really lovely grounds with communal areas to sit around fire places.

Sadly I had a very noisy room what sounded like it was above the back of house staff area so my first night had alot of noise travel into the room but it was quiet the second night.

Very cold area and I stayed on a freezing night but thankful for the radiator heaters aswell as wall mounted heaters (only worked after filters cleaned)

Was a little disappointed that our room was not part of the lodge it was separate. Would’ve been good for Hotels.com to have that noted when we booked only because I wanted the heritage part of the building but didn’t get that experience was up very high on a hill and needed to use the car to get down to breakfast. Breakfast was unusual. The staff didn’t seem to know what was on the menu when I asked if it came with toast they didn’t know and didn’t even attempt to try and ask. There was no direction as to help yourself to tea or coffee etc.

We just had a great and relaxing long weekend at Peppers Manor House. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and are bathrooms excellent.
We dined at Katers Restaurant. The menu choices and food were very good.
My only suggestions are to: 1. Up the breakfast options, including having a person to make coffees and 2. Keep up with the ongoing maintenance, such as refreshing some tired decor and paintwork in the fireplace room.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here for 3 days. I can't fault a thing - the property is absolutely gorgeous to begin with, extremely well manitained with manicured gardens and bunnies about, the pool was so lovely and clean to swim in, the staff are extremt friendly, the rooms are large, very clean, with comfy beds and well serviced. We are definitely coming back again!!

The grounds, amenities and gardens at the Manor House were fabulous, with plenty of seating and to quietly sit or lovely areas to stroll through. We had a lovely relaxing stay. Staff were very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Pool was really nice, perhaps they should get more than just 3 sun lounges at the pool. We stayed in the upper level rooms in the garden wing which was great - large, peaceful and very comfortable. However, perhaps other guests who may have mobility issues, they should inform them beforehand that it is one flight up with no lift. Or at least contact them prior, to inquire if its OK before allocating them that room.

We were mesmerised by the grandeur of the 100 year old (1926-2026) manor house and its grounds. Everything was just grand, right down to the piano in the large room near reception. The staff were wonderful to deal with.

Nice, smart looking place, with roaring fires and rolling grounds and lots of cute bunnies everywhere! Decent value too. Knocked off a star however, for a lack of attention to detail in a few areas: the room and bathroom were spacious and well equipped and we slept really well (admittedly, we'd missed a night's sleep the night before, having been on a 10 hour flight!). But a towel rail was loose, the sink cracked, the sofa cushions were stained and the plug extension socket sparked when moved a couple of centimetres to plug in our phones. In this day and age there should be USB sockets for devices by the bed anyway, and this was in the fairly modern Garden Annex.
It was too cold to use the pool but it looked like it needed a good clean.
Breakfast buffet wasn't bad but some sweet pastries and cheese (which I don't think there was) would have been nice too.

A spur of the moment booking turned into a delightful getaway. The staff were impeccable, friendly, efficient and accommodating. The room was so clean and tasteful and the location peaceful.
As for the manor house itself, it was charming, well loved and we made the most of the many sitting rooms and fireplaces. The food was delicious and fresh. We were sad to leave and highly recommend a short or longer stay for a country getaway.

Beautifully maintained grounds, and a peaceful quiet environment but for the high end cost I had greater expectations such as better coffee/tea making provisions, inclusion of complimentary toiletries/shower cap etc, some local produce for breakfast such as jams ( although local honey was noted). Whilst the included breakfast was adequate the quality of the cakes and pastries could have been better. The TV was too small for the room, and could easily accommodate a larger one. Staff also seemed not to know what could be seen and experienced in the local area.

The place is nicely heritage, however the Covid-19 mentality as regards the contents of the minibar, were lamentable. Only 2 little cartons of milk...nothing else...room service had to be organised at the bar in person as well. We'll probably look elsewhere next time.

We had planned to only stay for about 4 days. Our plans changed due to a family crisis and we were there for 10 days. In that time the whole staff team were sympathetic and supportive in many ways. They are a great team and worthy of high praise. Peppers is not just somewhere to stay it is a "destination". The property is oozing in charm of years gone by. You need to see it for yourself!

The building itself was lovely and our room was good and spacious. It was disappointing there was only a basic small tv and no other options than free to air. I expect nice places to have foxtel or Netflix these days so it very much limited my relaxing Saturday night when I wanted to watch something.
The bed wasn’t overly comfortable and I had a sore back the next day.
We went to eat at the bar but found only fussy expensive options when we just wanted something simple like a club sandwich we could have in front of the fire. Speaking of, there was a notice you had to ask for these to be turned on. I would expect in winter these are on by default and it makes it less inviting to have to ask for it to be started. I would have been more likely to buy something from the bar and sit next to the fire.
The driveway was full of potholes and not food for anyone’s car, not sure why you can’t spend the money to fix it and make it better for guests.

It was lovely to arrive and find that I had been upgraded from a Queen room to a King room. There is quite a difference and I would advise paying the extra $40 or so when booking, for such a big room. There is a modular lounge (rather small for two people) and a fairly large TV. The Queen room is better suited to someone that doesn't need to spend too much time in their room. A quick overnight stopover would best. The King bed was extremely comfortable with nice linen and the bath towels were very large and soft. Biscuits were provided, however a nice shortbread would be an improvement on a Milk
Arrowroot. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn't working in my room. I was offered another room with Wi-Fi, however it was a Queen room and I decided that I preferred the King room, even without Wi- Fi to Chromecast a movie. I was given a voucher for two complimentary drinks at the bar, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed a glass of red sitting in the main house reading room by the electric wood fire. There were two other wood fires in other rooms, however they were occupied. The grounds are delightful with the daffodils on display and lots of bunnies about, enjoying the day. The staff were very nice and couldn't do enough for me. All in all, I had a lovely stay.

This is a lovely old homestead property. It's a little tired in places but that adds to the heritage charm. The big let down is that staff are not properly trained and there is not enough staff to have someone at the front reception all the time. Outside of reception, we pretty constantly saw staff who were present and lounging around but not on the job. Reception staff were not able to answer basic questions about the property. No criticism of the staff involved: this is a training issue which is a management responsibility. Disappointing for an Accor property.

As we visited in Winter, we loved the open fires inside the manor house. We sat and read whilst enjoying hot chocolate. The staff at dinner and breakfast were very attentive but not intrusive. A relaxing short, overnight stay. We would be happy to stay again, perhaps in Spring to see the daffodils in bloom and enjoy a game of tennis.
