Andy at reception went out of his way to help with all of our requests Thank you
Breakfast was a big disappointment for me. The breakfast order was taken at the bar, and I felt very rushed in selecting my order I felt I was not given enough time to go through the menu. The lady was also taking orders from golfers doing take aways as well The bacon and egg and bacon roll was coved with BBQ sauce and the roll was burnt bacon overcooked, I could not eat it. I would like to see menus on tables and orders taken from there as we had with our dinner menu.
I have stayed at Dormie House on four occasions and noticed that the hotel is now running with less staff.

We stayed in a refurbished King Room and it was lovely. Beautiful room, comfy bed, great value of money. We'll definitely stay there again, it's perfect for a weekend getaway. But we won't eat there again, the dinner wasn't great.

I paid $1100 for a renovated room and thought it would be pretty decent for that price … instead I got a renovated room but very small and claustrophobic windows had locks on it that couldn’t be opened like they were painted shut and was told in listing it had 50 inch tv but it was only a little 28 inch tv in the corner on a mount all awkward to watch from bed or any angle and no toaster and microwave in room only mini fridge and kettle .. I thought for $1100 you would at least get those things cause you can get cheaper rooms at different places that have all those things plus more ! Very misleading listing and the shower wouldn’t stay hot when using and turn cold so I told reception and their excuse was it’s an old building and everyone showers at same time … whaaaat lol … does everyone shower at 5:00am I don’t think so… the only good thing about this room was heated tiles in bathroom that’s literally it ! And they didn’t even have a common room with microwave for all guests !! So I had to go downstairs to kitchen where they cook in restaurant and asked them to reheat my food otherwise I couldn’t eat what I had in fridge … and no elevator even a small one so I had to life my luggage bags up the stairs … what a pain

Stayed for one night. I was kindly upgraded by the polite helpful front desk staff.

He even went ahead and turned the heater on so the room would be warm after I had my dinner.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Everything I needed was included.
Very quiet

Lovely location. Ground floor Queen room extremely small - no room for luggage as the bed took up almost the whole room. Bathroom only suitable for one person at a time. Overlooked the buggy garage so had to keep the blind closed. Would definitely request and pay for a larger room if we ever stayed again. Staff were friendly though and the terrace for meals overlooking the golf course was beautiful.

Shame we had not been to Dormie House for a while very disappointing.

Not like staying at a hotel, more like staying at a superior pensione. The room and bathroom were spotless and fresh-smelling. (I hate that artificial hotel smell.) Being able to
Open windows was a bonus. Quiet despite carpark. Having the restaurant/café was so convenient. Sitting out the back on the outside patio area with a view over the golf course and its many trees was delightful. Staff professional and pleasant.
Shall definitely return.

Refurbished room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Due to the nature of it being an old building it was quite noisy and could hear doors slamming, floorboards creaking and conversations through walls. Was attending a wedding locally so this was a convenient and affordable place to stay.

We stayed here for one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The staff at Dormie House are incredible - so helpful and friendly. All of the guys who helped at check-in and dinner were so welcoming. We had a delicious meal and dessert, it was hard to narrow down a selection from the many choices on the menu! This was followed by a lovely sleep in the comfortable bed, which we really needed as we were taking part in a big event the next day. Everything was clean and fresh. I attend an annual event in Bundanoon and was so glad to have discovered the Dormie House. I'll be back next year!

Nice place although our room overlooking the golf course had golfers wandering right past our window and chatting. We didnt expect that we would be beside the practice area.
What was REALLY annoying was the UHT milk tubs in our fridge just curdled when we made a coffee.
Surely its not too hard to replace these every decade or so? We went to a service station to get fresh milk.
Next morning we ordered a bacon and egg roll and a hash brown in the dining room.
We waited 30 minutes and it still didnt arrive so we cancelled the order.
Bar staff were very apologetic and gave us a refund, and also a free B&E roll.
Kudos to the young man.

Room very small.
Heating control confusing and staff wasn't sure how it worked either. Room was too cold, had to get fan heater.
Dining room was warm the first morning but no heat on the Sunday morning.
Stairs hard for my wife to manage.
Suggest putting a lift in the storage room.
The venue was quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

The Dormie house is a beautiful historic building on the edge of a nice golf course. You will want to get a refurbished room. If you rely on hotel wifi during stay, be aware that, even though they offer wifi, it is so bad as to be non existent.

When we arrived the room we were meant to be checking into was dirty when we opened the door. It had not been cleaned from previous people staying. The staff were friendly and accommodated us with some drinks whilst waiting for it to be cleaned. No air-conditioning on hottest day in March, we asked for a fan but that didn't work. Bed uncomfortable and in need of upgrading. Generally i guess a cheap stay but you get what you pay for.

Lovely renovated room although the tv did not have a remote control.
Bed was very comfortable and we had had 2 peaceful nights of sleep. My only suggestion would be to have a full length mirror in the room or out in the hallway of common area. As we were attending a wedding it would have been convenient to have a full length mirror to assist us. I would stay here again without a question.

Dormie House is an old style hotel set in shady gardens adjacent to the golf course and in a quiet residential area.
My room was adequate, quite small, with a bathroom.
The tap dripped in the basin, management advised they would rectify that.

A lift would be good, as the stairs for us older people are getting hard. Other than that, I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and sitting on the deck with a cold beer watching the golfers is the best way to enjoy the game.

It was ok, renovated room very nice on 1st Floor and no Lift but ok for us. Light in hallway on sensor and was shining under the door. Not sure why it was going on and off through the night, couldn't hear anyone in hallway. Builders started at 7.00a which was annoying. Would consider elsewhere next time.
