We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday at Sunrise Garden Beach Resort in Hurghada! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The water slides were fantastic for both kids and adults, and the daily entertainment was excellent. The highlight was the amazing Tuesday Sunrise Festival — truly unforgettable!

A special thank you to Mr. Moamen at reception for his constant support and professionalism, and to Shaben, the main restaurant manager, for kindly arranging a special vegetarian curry for us on seafood night. That thoughtful gesture meant a lot.

We highly recommend this resort to families looking for fun, relaxation, and exceptional hospitality. The team truly goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Keep up the great work!

We had a lovely winter holiday at The Sunrise Garden Resort. There are two pools and a private beach, with plenty of sunbeds. The food was amazing and there was plenty of choice. We most ate in the main restaurant but also went to the à la carte Indian and the Mexican which were in the hotel next door. All included in the all inclusive. There was good communication from the hotel. Staff were helpful and we had access to a nominated member of staff via WhatsApp. The resort was beautiful and was clean and well maintained. We had lovely rooms and there was a great cleaner for my room (8219) who worked hard and with great pride. There’s access to lots of activities which are reasonably priced. We went quad biking, horse riding and snorkelling on a private speed boat. The sun shone, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

We have visited this hotel a few times, we ended up checking out a couple of days early as we both had sickness and upset stomach the whole time we was there just as we thought it was getting better every time we would eat something we were running for the toilet to be sick or need the toilet, the food is the same everyday, the eggs are raw was at breakfast, sun beds on the beach was a big issue not enough of them, we was having to get up at 6:30am to get a bed, drinks was in very small paper cups, the mini bar on visit before has been refilled everyday and on this stay was filled up once every 7 days. Be warned they do not accept Egyptian pounds anywhere in the hotel it’s USD or Euros they want. To sum the hotel up me and my family will not be returning and are looking for alternative hotels on the island.

This property is right on the Red Sea. On arrival, I complained that the app did not work, the online form does not work, and no one replies to emails, phone calls or messages. Our first room was dirty, their where red drops all over the restroom. They cleaned it, and missed spots. We complained and they moved us. At the massage parlor, we had to wear underwear during the sauna, steam and massage. Between each of those, the counter clerk would ask, \"How are you?\". Well, I'm sweating and standing in my underwear and you are in my space. The Hamman was straight on the stone and uncomfortable. The massage lacked luster. They don't seem to understand customer service or comfort. The food at the resort was mediocre. Ice is like gold for them. The restaurant servers were awesome. There was someone making noise above us each night from 7pm to 3am and the staff would do nothing about it. If you like Mexican resorts, this place does not measure up. The app is so bad; it shows restaurants closed when they are open and the map is useless. I guarantee it doesn't get fixed because no one there seems to care about providing a quality experience. Even the shuttle was impossible to get.

My husband and i have stayed at this hotel around 6 times and always seemed to enjoy it,Unfortunately this visit with other members of my family and grandchildren was not so enjoyable.
We went for 10 days and each visit to either breakfast,lunch,or dinner was always a fight to get a table we also varied the times we went but it made no difference,never any proper fresh orange of a morning and when asked for some was given pineapple diluted i might add and told that was it but also my grandchildren had cola but it was served in red hot glasses.
The food was definitely not up to normal standard i know food is repetitive when you are away but on a whole i normally find something to eat but not this visit.
Also what i noticed was that fruit is normally a part of the all-inclusive but as alot of people like water melon many times it was with held to serve on the beach at an extra cost WRONG.
I personally felt that when this hotel is busy the staff cannot cope their manners were a joke we witnessed far too much this visit to ever want to return Unfortunately many times our beach towels was removed from our beds yet we only went to the bar,our air-conditioning didnt work for 4 nights when we complained they literally didnt believe us let alone even seem bothered,we was awake to 27.5 degrees in our room so i called a meeting with the front desk manager Mr Mohamed Ashour who said he would get his technicians to look (motor went) so we was right anyway will i be back no sorry Sunrise.

Had an enjoyable 8 day stay with our 19 year old daughter.
Service is impeccable.
Lots of food choices in the buffet for all meals & lots of included a la carte restaurants for evening meals. We had no problems getting reservations, even on the same day or more choices if you booked for the following evening.
For a 5 star hotel & with everything else being so fabulous the only let down were the drinks choices which were disappointing.
Drinks & Cocktails were very basic with not much choice. Even with only having local spirits, they could make some ice-cream cocktails.
We would return though as everything else was great.

Sherif the new general manager is amazing and look out for Boushra and Osman in the reception as they are brilliant

If you land on your feet and get Ahmed serving your room then you are onto a winner he has real eye to detail. The pools are heated to 29 degrees which is lovely and the hotel is fully accessible on a motability scooter which is amazing for me - I love the new Pier which has ramps into the sea - this is our families second time here and it quit honestly just keeps getting better and better

Returned from a week's break and can say that this hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms are modern and clean. There's a choice of pools as well as the very fun waterpark-be prepared to climb a lot of stairs up to the top!
There's seven Al la carte restaurants that you can use as part of an all inclusive deal deal. We ate at the Italian, Mexican and Asian ones and the service and food was brilliant. Top though, you need to book a reservation on the tablet in reception. We found that if you booked early in the morning, there were always reservations free for the following day.
All in all, an excellent break and an excellent resort!

The hotel location was great, the beach was very nice and no litter, kids had a blast on the pool and the staff were super friendly and catered the whole family.
The whole staff from reception to housekeeping were amazing even the maintenance team were professional.
When it comes to food they served all cuisine special thanks to chef Mohamed.
Animation team were highly active and lots of activities were ongoing.
Slides were well maintained and safe and life guards were always alert.
Definitely will be come back again.

I was going to give five stars but there were two things that altered the overall positive experience of our trip.
The first is that waitors aren't allowed to accept tips. All tips go into the tip jar. Sounds fair on first thought. But in reality it looked to me (and i could be wrong) as if the waitors were constantly being watched by the multiple managers in white and blue shirts. So to me it appeared as if the waitors were acting more out of fear of getting reprimanded rather than out of motivation to do a good job in order to get a tip. I mean Egyptians are used to working for tips. But that's clearly a management decision to appeal to Europeans who aren't used to constant tipping.
The second thing that i thought could be improved was the music. The animation team played the same songs over and over again that are played at resorts all across the world. Hearing \"I will survive\", \"country roads, take me home\", or \"Barbie Girl\" is not why i flew all the way to Egypt. Egypt is the music hub of the middle east and Egyptian music is far easier to dance to than European and American music. Other than having Egyptian staff at the resort it didnt feel like Egypt. It felt more like Mallorca.

The food was pretty good. The salad bar was abundant although the quality of the food wasn't too high. For the price we paid it was appropriate but definitely not 5 stars.

The animation team was extremely motivated and made this hotel special. All of them tried very hard to involve the guests

Worst experience ever by being physically attacked by a east European guest and hotel management discouraging you to call police as it happened on our last day. The lenghty investigation would delay our departure, they said.

This was a last minute decision because we had to cancel a reservation in another hotel. I read the reviews and decided on this one because it was rated extremely high as a family friendly and we were not disappointed. We took the family suite a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom unit. The children room is very cute with small desk and nice decorations so my kids loved it.
The hotel has everything you want, amazing wide variety of food, several swimming pools and a decent sized aqua park. It has it's own beach and if you love snorkeling you can take a walk to a nice area with a bice coral. There is also a diving center. Close to shopping.
The best was the staff. They greet you with a big smile and try their best to accomodate. Special thanks to Fahd froom room service who was extremely accomodating and helpful, Hamada from the swimming pools, Kareem a young chief from kitchen. But most staffs were amazing and you can see that they enjoyed their work.
I definitely recommend it and I will go back in the future.

The hotel was nice until my kid and myself got afood poison throwing up and diariah all night and we told the reception manager he said not from us you maybe ate something outside we didn't we just had drinks on the way until we ate the snacks at the hotel I paid full board but my son and I only were able to eat cup of soup and just water because of the nausia we had during our stay. Then my wife went to get a massage and since we are in Egypt we taught everything in Egyptian pound they gave her receipt look to everyone reads it 2006 that mean 140 dollar then when she went to pay they charged her 3800lb and told her it was 200 euro the 6 they said euro sign whythey show her the price in euro and we are American in Egypt it was very deceiving and when I talked to the manager he was sarcastic he said your wife is adult and should know if she doesn't know she should ask , it's only 60.00 different which is not big deal but the way they handled it was like a scam

The resort is lovely and huge. Lots of things to do and see around the resorts. Restaurants around, we wish we could have tried more but they were fully booked. All inclusive menu for breakfast was pretty much the same - was ok. Lunch was hit and miss and dinner was good. Pools are fantastic! Staff are great and very helpful.

Downside was the faulty room door. We requested for someone to look at it on two days and no one ever turned up. Eventually we just left the door closed without actually it being securely locked.

We were so disappointed and dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel, the place is over crowded, room wasn’t clean, linen was dirty and unchanged “see photo “ front reception staff was unwelcoming and unfriendly, reception itself was unpleasant with no AC functioning, dining room was a total mess, hot no AC also smells funky, staff unwelcoming as well, No order at all! Food was mediocre. Mamlouk was a bit cleaner and food was decent. Beach wasn’t too bad, the staff establishment wide wasn’t happy with their jobs and makes you feel unwelcomed . The room was so dirty, floors cabinets bathroom and even main hallway outside room, had to change keys everyday because they would just stop functioning.. so terrible… the thing that was most disgusting in the room was the bed linen which was so dirty and you can tell it’s not washed.. housekeeping guy would knock on the door every evening to basically say hi and wait for tips. So unprofessional, it’s not like you actually cleaned the room properly.
During checkout they didn’t even bother asking how was the stay, which tells you a lot about how they run business. We ended up leaving and staying in another hotel which was a bit pricier but definitely enjoyed it “Steignberger Aldau” I would highly recommend this one. AND HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND SUNRISE TO ANYONE.

The overall experience was not bad. However it was way below my expectations. I have been in another Sunrise hotel in Sharm El Sheikh (Sunrise Montmare) and it was really an amazing experience there. The staff in Sharm El Sheikh were very hospitable, cheering and professional. That is what made me choose Sunrise this time in Hurghada but the staff in Hurghada were on the complete contrary, non professional at all, some of them were always gloomy, very non professional comments from many of them. When you see this altitude from a bunch of them, you know that they are not well trained and the quality standards are questionable. Some of them were trying to enforce us to move to a specific table every time we want to sit in the main restaurant, and this happened 3 times. The good thing is that I made a complaint and it was taken seriously. Special thanks to Remon ( the restaurant manager, Assem ( the Chef) and Doha (from the reception).
This were trying to do anything to handle my concerns. However my comments on the non professionalism of the staff is directed to the management in order to give them more training and have some strict measures on the quality of service they deliver to the hotel clients.

My experience with this hotel from start to end has been amazing. All the staff are helpful and very accommodating, from the reception to the restaurants to the children's club. The swimming pools, beach which is only a few minutes walk and the alacarte restaurants. I would recommend the hotel and we are already planning our next trip.

Fantastic experience- definitely returning

We had a great 1 week stay at the resort, with my wife and 4 year old. We enjoyed all the facilities at the hotel. We were vegetarian and the hotel staff went to great lengths to ensure we had adequate food at each meal. In particular I would like to thank Hanny, the restaurant manager, amongst a few for his excellent support.

Spacious Hotel with Very Good Beach

Very nice hotel with well maintained gardens and beach. Rooms comfortable, spacious and well equipped with tea and coffee facilities, fridge, free safety deposit box, hairdryer and shampoo and shower gels. The hotel has four themed al a carte restaurants, (Italian, Oriental, Mexican and Asian), that offer a good variety of dishes with excellent service, well worth visiting. There is an aqua park area, ideal for the kids, as well as a quiet pool area, there are snack and lunchtime meal facilities available from midday until 5.00pm available in the main restaurant, pool and beach areas. There is a daily activity program for adults and kids and evening shows and entertainment. There are numerous shops close to the hotel offering a variety of products, ( mainly copy designer label). Really enjoyed our holiday and plan to visit again in April.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, all staff are very friendly.
The location of this hotel is good, loads of shops opposite to the hotel.
You are able to use the sister hotel which is joined from inside.
food was ok lots to choose from we enjoyed the lunch from snack bar which is near the beach.
When we stayed there was not many English people just people from Europe. Last few days of our stay the hotel was very quiet.

Room service guy ( Ahmed) was very honest ; I forget my wallet in the room after check out and he ran after me at the reception to give it to me.

Reception desk ( Mohamed Elhussieny and Moamen ) both tried to do their best all over the trip

Customer service Suzan booked a la carte restaurant for me and for my family , even though the booking system was down , but she booked for me manually to keep me satisfied

I didn't like the attitude of Ahlam in customer service office , she should be more professional dealing with the guests.

The staff at the pools don't care about managing the queues for taking the float rings, some guests use the floats and ride it in the pool rather than using it at slides

It is not acceptable to have only one main restaurant which is so crowded , sometimes you need to wait until you find a table, even though the hotel have two open buffet restaurants but Gamila ( the beach restaurant ) is booked only for Thomas Cook guests !!

We ( a group of 15 ) liked the food at the main restaurant , but we didn't like the quality of food at the Italian one ( a la cart) .
The a la cart Mexican restaurant at Sentido ( sister hotel ) was above average for food quality
All the staff at the three restaurants were very professional and they tried to do the best to make

Soft drinks at bars need to be upgraded to a higher quality juice brand to match a 5* hotel

I think I may come again but to Sentido Hotel because large pools and shared Aqua park

I stayed for 7 nights, check in and first 2 nights were horrible. Afterwards, I am not sure whether I got used to it and decided to enjoy my time in spite, or things did improve, However, I doubt that I will be going there again.

It was alright, but I expected better.

The Hotel was good. Food and aqua were good. Employees at the reception were very co-operative. However, housekeeping was not up to the standard. housekeepers were very rude and unprofessional, extremely condescending attitude. Beach activities were not so good. They pulled the sofa boat too fast and it was windy which made it rather risky.
Also animation is not that rich nor creative. The dancer was very bad and boring.

Awesome hotel.

Great staff. Great animation team. Shout out to all staff especially Eslam, Mostafa and Mostafa (restaurant manager).
Hotel is very nice, clean, and you get to use the adjacent hotel at no additional charge which is awesome. These guys work so hard and they deserve the best. Thank you again!!!

Great hotel with fantastic all inclusive offer

We stayed in building 3. This is well located as the hotel has a massive complex. The problem with the hotel is the wifi is very poor and is the only reason why I have given it a 4/5. We went to this place with my wife and 6 year old daughter. The swimming pools fantastic and kept our daughter entertained. The constant availability of food and drinks means you are always being served. The staff are great and always smiling...

Very good aqua park

The newly opened aqua park is perfect however they need to review the entrance policy as it is ristricted for taller than 130cm.
The furniture need to be modernized.
The animation team is very friendly.

Nice hotel with great facilities, gym is excellent and the pools are large and good for kids.

Good hotel but bad rooms

The beach and pools were good, night entertainment was very boring and the bars other than the main one in reception had little to offer. Toilet in the room kept leaking and phone was broke took 2 days to fix the phone. Food was extremely good both the buffet and the other restaurants that needed booking.

Really good hotel

We have been to this hotel about 15 times, which speaks for itself. Some of the buildings are a bit tatty now, but the hotel is being progressively refurbished so this should soon be resolved. These refurbishments are being carried out without affecting the guests enjoyment of the hotel in any way. The hotel is constantly being improved over the years.
The staff, as always, EXCELLENT, and cannot do enough to help you enjoy your holiday.
Only minor criticism is the TV in the room, whish is well past its sell by date, and unreliable.

Great hotel, great team - perfect for families!

We returned a week ago after spending a week at the hotel with our sons, aged 7 and 5 and, in the main, we had a lovely time.

We had a family room in block 10. The location was perfect for us as we were close to the pools, not too far from the restaurants and on the day our son decided he wanted to chill out in the room, we could sit at the pool but keep an eye on him in the room. The room furnishings were fine, although the bed did sag a little in the middle. But it was well laid out for our needs and perfectly adequate.

The food was good and varied. Our youngest son is dangerously allergic to nuts and sesame seeds but we were able to manage his food without too much issue. We were very impressed with the Italian and Mexican restaurants. However, we had great difficulty booking a la carte restaurants. Every day, no matter what time we tried, they were all full. Eventually my husband visited guest services and they were able to book us into the Mexican restaurant one night and the Italian another. The food was great and we were pleased to eat there, but surprised that, on both occasions, the restaurant had quite a number of open tables on the evening despite being shown as full! We also ate at the Mamalouk buffet a couple of times.

We had heard great things of the animation team so we're looking forward to getting involved. The first 2 days we saw Latino dancing going on but not much else by the pool. On the 3rd day there were a few more activities and by day 4 there see

Excellent family holiday

I took my 2 boys for a few days of much-needed relaxation. We all enjoyed our stay tremendously. The facilities are excellent as is the staff... all very welcoming and pleasant.

Nice resort on the surface...

More a 3ish* hotel and not as stated.
Rooms need modernising (broken AC / old crt TV with broken remote, better shower) and deeper cleaning needed with doors and handles needing more attention. Big room.
Staff were mostly friendly and attentive (some a bit over attentive!)
Was invited to a VIP event hosted by the hotel but reception staff didn't know about it. Whilst most staff speak German/Russian well English seemed a bit harder for them to understand.
Spa facilities were awful.
All inclusive aspect was good included internet which was sporadic in the room.
Food on offer was good generally although needs to be more vegetarian choice. Difficult to book table in a la carte restaurants.
Beach was nice.
Diving centre was good and team were fantastic.
Think they need to provide more information for the non tour travellers.
Overall felt safe in the resort and as a single female travellers that was important. Would probably go back.

We have just got home from our stay here we had a great time weather great most of the staff was polite food was ok but being able to go to the restaurant made up for the main buffet. If you do want to go to the fish restaurant just make sure the boat is going to pick you up.

I booked this resort for my family as an all-inclusive holiday (we have a 3-year son) because of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. I have stayed at numerous resorts in Hurghada, and this will be on the \"go again\" list.

Check-in for us was a bit slow, but that was because they wanted to get us a better room, and we are now glad we waited. Our room ended up being in-between the beach and the restaurant, a nice middle spot for us with our son. AND they gave us one of the rooms with a double-balcony; my son and I enjoyed our mornings out there before heading down for breakfast. This also meant we had more natural light with 2 balcony doors. I suggest asking for one of these double-balcony rooms on the 2nd floor. Our room was in the 4000's for numbers (building 4 I guess?). The room was clean, and as always in Egypt, catch your cleaning person on our first morning, give a small tip, and you will have a very, very clean room daily.

The grounds are well-kept. The beach gets overcrowded by about 8:30 am, so if you want a spot, go early! The pool with the slides and a shallow area for kids was great, and warm. This was a fun spot to hang out. The snacks before lunch are not too bad - pizza and burgers and such, even fish one day. Overall, the food is good. I find food in Hurghada is never as good as in Sharm el Sheikh, but I always found something to enjoy. The kitchen is run very professionally, and things are kept hot and fresh.

Lovely hotel close to beach

The hotel was beautiful it was very clean rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, our cleaner of our room was excellent and friendly he was called Mohamed Hussien we were very impressed with the lovely bed designs he left us and his friendly personality!!
Our room was air conditioned which we were very grateful for after a hot day by the pool and beach.
We were all inclusive the food was fantastic and had a lot of choice the chief Mostafa was friendly and welcomed us daily with a lovely greeting and smile.
The guests at the hotel were fvarious ages and nationalities all were friendly and welcoming.
The beach location was fantastic views were lovely!! The beach was a five minute walk from our apartment.The airport was just a 15 minute drive from the hotel which we found very appealing.
The shops on the complex catered for most of the items you may require.
We visited the Blue Waves excursions on many occasion as we was overwhelmed with the service we got Syed one of the staff was fantastic and gave us excellent service!!
We went on every boat trip there was the glass bottom boat was very special and the captain of the boat took special care of us showing us the reefs and all the beautiful sights( we can't remember his name) his boat was seven 7 sea special thank s to him for a truly unforgettable experience!
We can't praise all the Blue Wave staff enough for the hospitality they showed us and the fantastic experiences we had whilst on our holiday!! We can't wait to see them

Amazing Family Holiday

I traveled with my Wife and two children for 5 days , I am a firm believer that a holiday is what you make it, so we did have a good time at this hotel. The hotel is lovely & clean, the rooms are spacious and clean but need some improvements , breakfast and dinner is good and a lot of variety's which you can always find something to eat , the snack bar was good but the evening is something boring and the animation team there need to think how to be much more active than this , the hotel is full of Russian people which is the main guest but german and british start to be shown on our last day

Relaxing beach getaway

This is a good place to relax and soak up some sun, but it is quite a long way out of Hurghada town centre area so not so easy to get out and experience the 'real' Egypt if you want to.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Good variety of food in the buffet (main) restaurant, although the food in the a la carte restaurants was decidedly average.

I spent a perfect vacation at this hotel. had a very nice and clean room, great restaurant with many varieties of food, perfect animation team (Obama& Mohamed ).
Very helpful staff starting from the reception Mr. Mohamed.
Very professional team at the guest relations department (Ms. Kate Gsc )
Also Ms.Tanya at the guest relations department is very helpful.

The resort has a nice stuff, is set in beautiful grounds and has a beautiful beach but definitely not a 5 stars
1- the room was far from 5 star, its big but old, I expected a nice LCD TV but instead I found an old TV which doesn't work probably in fact it needs a miracle in order to work from the first time, the air condition needs at least an hour to start to cool the room. The bath tub was dirty with hair on it. The mini bar doesn't work at all. From the first night I found ants all over the bed plus big black stain on the pillow and the blanket... eww! I was very disappointed
2- The food, it's all you can eat and drink place so the breakfast buffet was good, however the lunch and dinner at the buffet restaurant is awful, the food is all catered towards the Russians, its tasteless with no variety. The only good thing is the a la carte restaurant but you need to book in advance and depending on your luck 'cause it’s always fully booked. Drinks was OK
3- Spa is nothing special.
4- You have to pay for the WI-Fi.
5- It's far away from down town and they doesn't provide a free shuttle
6- Lobby is cool which has a pianist and the lobby bar is fantastic, I enjoyed the smoothies they serve
After all it wasn't a bad experience but wasn't what I expected, I don't think I'll go to Sunrise Select Garden Beach resort again. In my opinion it’s overpriced
