In general, I have a pleasant experience staying in this hotel for 2 nights.
The cons were lack of green plants and shadow on the hotel's territory, the very poor WIFI internet that is available only at the lobby.

i loved my stay at Samra Bay, animation team is awesome and very friendly. all the staff are amazing and make you feel welcomed. I loved the food presented in the buffet restaurant - all was fresh and tasty!!

Overall, this is a bad a hotel. The money you save in the booking, you spend in the hotel as they nickel and dime you for everything. The all inclusive package is very misleading. The package only means free meals at the restaurant and free soft drinks. When we found that out, we upgraded to the package so that we could get alcoholic drinks as well, however, we later found out that they have no variety in alcohol. One type of rum, whiskey and vodka. All of them were some brand I never heard of. Also, any type of mixed drink was extra even though we paid for the higher all inclusive package.
Many areas of the resort were still under construction. There are about 4 or 5 very over priced shops on the property. There is a pharmacy less then five minutes walking from the lobby that is much more reasonably priced and has anything you might have forgotten. The hotel has one “heated” pool. By heated, I mean that they put a cover at night on the pool and let the sun heat it in the morning. By 2:00 Pm, the water is cold again. The biggest disappointment in the hotel is the hours. This hotel is only open from 10:00 until 5:00 Pm. Pool, beach, gym, all close. Also, gym cost extra to use.

WiFi in the lobby is free, but was horrible and the WiFi in the rooms is over priced and very weak. The only thing that saves this place is the better than average entertainment at night. They have good shows and a group that gets the audience involved but I would never stay there again.

Beware that this hotel deal directly with expedia and not ebookers so book through expedia. Had to fight tooth and nail for things ebookers promised. The hotel reception staff first reaction was to say no to most things. Samra bay is next to a building site and the hardcore drilling started at 7 in the morning. Having asked to move rooms it was ignored. The pools were freezing, the sea was slightly warmer!

Cleaners are constantly cleaning and Hotel is spotless.
Food was Excellent lots of choices and Chefs will go out of there way to make you anything.
Only fault Local Spirits could be better.

Wonderful Red Sea Resort

Set in a perfect location, there is no need to go anywhere else if all you want is to sunbathe and swim. Perfect for families or couples of all ages. As a single older woman I cannot speak too highly of the staff for their care and consideration. Still somewhat under construction, but beautifully maintained with lovely gardens. If you want to explore further there is a wealth of opportunities. A highlight for me was a trip to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings et al. Spectacular. Beware of Egyptian tummy, and don’t drink the ice. Plenty of bottled water provided freely. Definitely going to return.

The truth to what you need to know.

WiFi is really bad, addition charge if you want to use it in bedroom. Get a SIM card from Vodafone in airport or the shopping mall. Do not book anything from hotel, 5-10x more in price, get a taxi from outside n haggle, we paid around 20-50 Egyptian pound for each trip. Excision book from “down town” couple of tourist office available. Laxor cost us £20, dolphin house £17, desert sefari £20,try to haggle lower if you can. Hotel drinks are served in a little cup, other hotels give you the bottle. I saw no animation team, just one vollybull that no one took part in. We never got the room we booked n paid for, nothing in surrounding area but that’s pretty much very every hotels. Spa is also over priced, you can find one 3min walk outside the resort. I liked the food, different options everyday. One shop around the corner if you want to buy drinks, very cheap from shops, 5 Egyptian pound. If your a smoker, go to Spinneys, a super market. Air con was perfect in bedroom, bath room small but clean. Shower was weak but can work with it. Depends what room you get, you could end up with a room with a view of nothing. Mc D and KFC 10-15min drive away. Airport took us literally 7min to get back too. Party life in down town, nothing special. Would I go back to hurghada? No. Btw Laxor trip was a big disappointment. If your taking kids, go to jungle aqua park instead of this hotel, better situated location, hospitality in that hotel is amazing, and presentation on drinks is excellent.

Staff in the kitchen were really nice so were the house keeping. Right when I arrived the front desk gave me a bad room I had to complain until they gave me a better room. The hotel doesn’t have a doctor I cut my hand in the beach and there was nobody around to help it took me 1 1/2 until I went to the hospital and I got stitches. The front desk told me make sure you have enough money to pay for the hospital deposit while I was bleeding bad

Nice hotel, worth to stay, recommend!

Great hotel but some points are not good enough. The wifi at the lobby annoyed me, don’t know what reason the wifi password is gone every day or every two days. They don’t give me the password, instead I have to give them my cellphone, they inserted every time! Sun towels which is nice every room has two huge towels with a fancy bag, in the information letter mentioned sun towels will be changed daily from 18 - 20 o’clock if we leave the sun towels on the floor, two days out of 11 days so far, which was actually ok but i have to call every time and it takes ages sometimes to get changed. One free A la carte at their Italian restaurant and oriental per visit, information letter mentioned Saturday, Monday and Wednesday but when we booked, they said Italian only Saturday and oriental only Monday (what a pity missed the chance). We tried the so called Italian restaurant but for me not. The foods aren’t Italian at all, which is as same as from view main restaurant. The foods at main are delicious especially the desserts but ice cream is missing in my opinion. If they can change the foods every two weeks is better, we stay 11 nights but had it repeated one week later which is a bit boring. Entertainment at night are not really interesting, so we went just few times and that’s all. The location is good, not far away from the airport (we paid two euro for taxi to the hotel), shops (souvenir shops, travel agencies for excursions, pharmacies, restaurants) are 500m away from the hotel.

Nice beach, pools and food

This is a pleasing hotel and I enjoyed my seven day all-inclusive stay at a very good price. I was disappointed that I did not get the room I ordered from Expedia. My housekeeper was excellent as were the restaurant and bar staff - all very friendly and helpful. The front desk was a bit disorganized in my opinion. Worst thing was the lack of a dependable WiFi system. Not available in room, only in the lobby. They said routers were available for the room but \"no more were available\". So do not expect to do any internet-based work while there; maybe occasionally check emails when the lobby WiFi is working. Actually, this forced people to somewhat socialize in the lobby.
The clientele were predominantly German (80%?), with a mix then of Russian, Polish and other northern Europeans. But the staff understood English and seemed to like speaking it more than German. Communication was not a problem.
The pools are well maintained. The larger pool was cold (maybe 23 C) but I could still do my laps there. The smaller pool was heated for children, water aerobics, etc. The beach area was kept clean and the landscaping was nice.
I had no real problems with the room other than the mini-fridge was noisy at night. The AC was also noisy but could be turned off. I am not a gourmet but I must say the food was excellent. At dinner and lunch there were usually different selections, all well prepared, and breakfast seemed to be the same every day but with a wide variety of choices and an omelet bar

Amazing experience in Hurghada

Samra Bay was an amazing experience all around. The staff was superfriendly and welcoming. Food was way above average for an all inclusive. We received a free room upgrade which was a nice bonus. The beach was quite and perfect for relaxing. I didn’t think that swimming would be possible in January, but we managed to spent at least an hour every day inside the water, best time was from noon to 2pm. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to escape the cold Canadian winters like myself. Special shoutout to Ahmed in the stylish lounge whose fun attitude was really the cherry on top.

Remove 2 stars - that is what it is worth

Not five stars worth - dirty, towels smell of cigaret smoke, 50 % of service staff do not speak english, Lousy food and the same each day, a chef stood behind the buffet eating with his hands from the buffet which are very bad hygiene only internet working probely is in the lobby, building or renovation in progres - the lobby bar and lobby staff in the bar was doing a great job but this place is NOT a five star resort.

An sich ist es eine schöne Anlage. Aber viele Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufdringlich und versuchen einem immer etwas anzudrehen wie Tagesausflüge, Wellness usw. Ein nein versteht man dort nicht beim 1. Mal. Sehr flirty waren sie auch, obwohl man deutig zu verstehen gibt, dass keine Interesse besteht. Meine Freundin und ich waren jetzt im Januar dort und das Schlafzimmer hatte keine Heizung , sodass wir abends mit 4 Decken und selbst gebastelte Wärmeflaschen schlafen gehen mussten. Was auch unverschämt war, dass man sogar mit Euro zahlen müsste und nicht mit deren Währung. Finde, dass es generell ein Abzockerland ist. Das Kliente hat uns diesen Urlaub genau bestätigt wie wir es uns davor vorgestellt hatten.

Es wurde umgebaut mit viel Baulärm auch bis spät in die Nacht hinein. Die Sauberkeit im Speisesaal hinter den Köchen war bedenklich. Heruntergefallen Speisen wurden nicht weggeräumt .... In Hotelnähe haben streunende Hude einen Abendspaziergang vor dem Hotel nicht zugelassen.

Freundlicher und Aufmerksamer Service

Es waren einige wirklich erholsame Urlaubstage im Samra Bay. Auch wenn nur ein 4stern Hotel, der Service und die Sauberkeit liessen an nichts wünschen. Besonders die Rezeptionisten waren von einer ausgesprochenen Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Das Animationsteam war soft und respektierte die individuellen Entscheidungen bei den Aktivitäten mit zu machen oder nicht. Besonders hat mir auch gefallen dass während des Aufenthaltes jeweils die Mōglichkeit bestand kostenfrei einmal im italienischen und einmal im orientalischen Spezialitätenrestaurant das Abendessen einzunehmen.

Rejst starten af marts måned , stille og rolig afslapningsted. Personale i restauranten og baren er venlig og hjælpsomme . Ved udtjek petsonale siger at deres Visakard terminal ikke virker og vil have jeg skal have penge, og betale gebyr på det dette synes jeg er ikke var sødt fra dem, og vi er 2 voksne og 3børn har brugt deres transport til og fra byen med 1 bil, ved udtjekning mener det at vi skal have 2 biler da det mener at vi ikke kan være i er bil , vi betaler for 2 biler som det vil have men bruger kun den ene fra hotellet til lufthavn , sp jeg har betalt for 1ekstra bil som jeg ikke har brugt efter 2 personales præst som stå i receptionen

Over het algemeen tevreden over het hotel. Minpuntjes waren het kleine TV-scherm in de hotelkamer en de baai bij het strand, dat is voor snorkelaars niet helder. Wel is er een stukje verderop een mogelijkheid om te gaan snorkelen in de Rode Zee.

We hebben leuk vakantie gehad met mijn kinderen.
Leuk en vriendelijk animatie team. Alles was goed. Lekker eten en gevarieerd elke dag iets anders. Leuk personeel in het restaurant en in de bar, ze zijn kinderen vriendelijk en gastvrij en behulpzaam. Dank u wel samra bay team voor alles.

The worst stay in my life! Never again!

The hotel is still under construction, the beach is under construction also, tracks working directly on the beach. No place to stay on the beach. The same situation with pool, overcrowded because of works on the beach.
The beach itself is very small and so far from the sea, you cannot even see the shoreline. You can swim only in some small “lake” with sea water, looks like soup from people and salty water, quite disgusting feeling. So, you can forget about swimming in the sea with clear water, no snorkeling of course, no beach. The phone in the room is not working in whole hotel. Hot water is not working also (!) we took hot shower just two days during all the week. The sheets was not changed also during all week. They are changing beach towels every day, BUT looks like they are not washing them even, just drying under the sun (!) , the smell and marks on towels. So, i saw many guests who was buying new beach towels for them self (me as well) from the shops nearby. Check in: when we made booking, we wrote, that we will need transfer from airport and early check in( 6 am). 3 month before trip. There was no answer. We tried to contact hotel to confirm our booking, no answer. Until we reached head office in Cairo. Only them confirmed our request. But when we reached hotel, they said that early check in cost 50$ and there is no free rooms now, only suites. And we need to pay more for it also!!!! So we paid for one more night, just to be able to sleep after 20 hours flight !!!

Heel aangenaam, hotel in opbouw

Het transfer van vliegveld naar hotel was goed geregeld. Bij aankomst kon er nog gegeten worden (restjes van het avondeten). De hotelkamer had geen zeezicht maar was wel met zeezicht geboekt. Doucheputje was vies, douchekraan muur zat een gat in, douchedeur sloot niet en qua bouw was nog niet alles af. Gemeld dat we een kamer met zeezicht hadden geboekt, er werd werk van gemaakt. Na twee dagen een andere (kleinere) kamer met zeezicht. De extra \"huiskamer\" hadden we niet nodig en we waren zeer tevreden met de nieuwe kamer. De medewerking die verleent is voor de nieuwe kamer was perfect. Manager Fanny van de receptie heeft het traject goed begeleid.

De gastvrijheid van het hotel was nagenoeg super en je kon alles vragen. De managers pakken zaken snel op. In tegenstelling tot sommige medewerkers die het niet aandurven om initiatief te tonen en zelfstandig te functioneren. Het overgrote deel van de medewerkers voelen zich vrij genoeg om een grapje met je te maken als je hierin wat ruimte laat en accepteren het dat je hen ook op die manier benaderd. Erg prettig. De communicatie was niet altijd goed, Engels staat namelijk niet op de eerste plaats, Duits en Russisch kome op de eerste plaatsen. Hierdoor gaat het niet altijd even goed, maar met wat universele handgebaren komt het goed als je maar geduld hebt. Wij willen nog zoveel vertellen, maar de ruimte om te typen is op.

Wij hebben een geweldige tijd gehad en zullen zeker terugkeren naar Samra Bay Resort in Hurghada, Egypte.

Ei niin tunnettu hotelli

Saavuimme yöllä hotelliin. Olimme varanneet excutive suiten ja mielestämme saimme kahden makuuhuoneen huoneiston, joka oli ankea, pimeä ja pölyinen. Päivän valjetessa saimme perusteellisen siivouksen, mutta parempaa huoneistoa ei ollut tarjolla.
Kahden viikon matkan aikana meille selvisi, että hotellia ei välttämättä tunnettu taksienkaan keskuudessa ja hotellin arvostus oli heikohkoa.
Mutta, vaikka hotelli ei vastannutkaan netistä saatua mielikuvaa kuvien perusteella, niin oleskelumme sujui varsin mutkattomasti ja hyvän henkilökunnan ansiosta lomasta tuli ihan mukava.
Allasalueella pienempi allas oli lämmitetty ja iso kylmä allas sopi meille viikingeille !

Fräscht och fint i hotellområdet var det. Dock väldigt enkla och otrevliga rum. Ingen bra dusch, ingen varmvatten eller bra badrum. Gymmet var helt trasigt och inget fungerade.
Vi åt exakt samma mat i två veckor vilket var väldigt tröttsamt och väldigt tråkigt.
