This hotel was extremely noisy from 9am throughout the day due to ongoing construction work. Builders were cutting tiles with loud machines, using a digger, and creating a lot of dust and strong burning smells from the tile cutting. It was impossible to relax or enjoy the stay.
The room was very poor for the price we paid. We previously stayed at Alibaba Hotel, which was cheaper, had much larger and more modern rooms, bigger swimming pools, and a huge aqua park. Compared to that, this hotel offers very poor value for money.
On top of this, I made a small mistake with my reservation, and the reservation manager, Ahmed Bakry, charged me $120. He showed no willingness to help or find a solution, so I lost $120 for nothing.
Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience. I will never return to this hotel and do not recommend it to anyone.

We had a problem in the beginning while taking a flight the hotel said they don’t have our booking and gave us a little hard time awaiting the same but later we enjoined the place. Hotel should organize shuttles as getting uber is very inconvenient and pricey

We stayed in a swim up room which was great, it was like having our own private pool at times! The food was lovely, a great selection including great eggs made to order for breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, a special shout out to the cleaner Ahmed and Hamada from the dining team who were both great!

The services were amazing, awesome, kind and patient people, they were always smiling and all the time happy to help. If I could come again in Egypt, I would definitely chose Sunrise Aqua Joy again!
The staff priority was our comfort and well being, I am really impressed about that. I leave the resort yesterday but I already miss those people and that place.

The resort was lovely. The cleaning products used were too strong smelling and gave me a headache, so I had to air my room out for hours before I could enter it again to sleep. To make our arrival easier, I wish there was a map of the property, explaining the location of all the restaurants, etc... Overall, this place was beautiful, the staff were nice, good food and a safe place for kids to play and wander around while parents relax or play with them :)

The hotel manager Sameh and Osama were very nice and helpful. Always willing to go above and beyond. However, there were problems from the start. Ahmed the night receptionist was hostile and ill mannered. Checks were not made against booking, One of the rooms was cancelled during check in and we were told one adult and child had to find another hotel or pay for a room that was already paid for. Check in took a whole 3 hours, issues were escalated to manager Sameh, who upgraded us, however, blame was transferred to expedia. Room was not to the standard as expected, broken door safety bar, broken door handle, balcony doors did not shut, one of the rooms AC did not work, brown tap water, and drains did not drain. The la carte restaurant's which are 6/7 restaurants was not bookable, as staff were booking for visitors before the window for booking became available. Heated pools-advertised as 6 heated pools, when we got there only two were heated and on one of the days the heating was not turned off.
All issues raised a number of times. There was no action taken.
Excursion companies were charging variable rates according to how gullible clients were, transportation for the excursions was horrendous for example, backless seats, that did not have seatbelts, and we were charged £10 for 3 drinks that children thought were complimentary at the end of excursion. There should be prior vetting before they allow companies sell products.

Bad communication with airport transfer services. 45 minutes to get someone to help with the luggage. Food is average and with no service. Buffet removes the food before closing hours and don’t help you with drinks or anytime. A few efficient employees, mostly slow.

I planned to stay in sunrise aqua joy hurgada me and my wife for three nights from 7/3/2021 to 10/3/2021
After carful research and reviewing hotel photos I made the reservation through expedia
But when we arrived the hotel, we got shocked our vacation we waiting for months ruined
The main reason we came for the beach and snoring activity is faded , its not an open beach its marina for yachts and we cannot swim farther a very small part of the still water however the photos shows without any yachts and shows the open sea
I asked the receptionist to cancel or amend my reservation but he said you didn’t book from my side please get back to your booking agency
After a long way drive, I compelled to stay one night also to looking for another hotel so I start communication with expedia and they get back to hotel and amend my reservation to be one night will be deducted and refund me by the other two nights so the most of my stay there used to finish with expedia and looking for another hotel
When I am checking out the same receptionist told me your booking was cancelled at all and you must pay this night by cash here and with the same way I replied get back to the agency its already paid but he said we sent them an email and we waiting for reply and till then you cannot move out of the hotel
Me and wife got shocked are we under arrest till they reply after debates take over two hours, I call the police we need to move our second day getting ruined and the police came an

The staff polite and helpful - and all seems aware of the guidelines for managing safety for all.
However it seems that Covid has taken it’s toll - the overall rating was in line with a reasonable 3* hotel. This hotel was certainly not 5*
Phones did not work in the bedroom and bathroom. Air condition switch missing.
Dress code for the restaurant was written but not enforced. We were quite bemused when a staff advised that we “dress up for the a la cart”. On arrival at the restaurant there was no dress code and falls short of Reasonable attire.
The disabled facility did not fit for purpose as the wheel chair ramp was far too steep and presents a risk to users

اسوء خدمة في العالم بشكل عام ، عند استقبالنا اخرونا للساعه ٤ حتى تسجيل الدخول للغرفة ثم كان يوجد خلل بالخزنه ولم يتم اصلاحه لليوم الثاني بسبب التطنيش المستمر من الموظفين والتسليك بكلمة حاضر وحاضر وثواني نكون عندك، والغرفة كانت ملاصقة لغرفة بها اولاد ونحن متزوجين جديد لذلك كان ذلك اكبر مصدر ازعاج وعدم راحة لنا، فقط الاكل تبعهم كان جميل جدا اما الخدمة بشكل عام فااااشله بكل ماتعنيه الكلمة ولذلك لاانصح احد به ولن اكرر زيارتي ابدا له

Everything was amazing and organized. Staff had to do double or triple the work and they did it with a smile. Sanitizers were everywhere filled with fresh sanitizers. Hadn’t had the chance to see any of the staff face because they were all wearing breathing masks (we traveled during the covid-19 outbreak). Never faced a problem with food availability (special thanks to the chef himself) nor the food quality. Two thumbs up

Overall a good stay:

Pros:
1. Good selection of food for meat eaters.
2. Swimming pools, water slides and activities/animation team were fantastic.
3.ginnia the hotel liaison and the reception staff were very helpful.

Con:
1. Bathroom - especially shower was very dirty with hair plugs and also poor pressure in the shower. The hotel did manage to fix this eventually, but took a while and shouldn't have been dirty in the first place.
2. Bed mattresses need replacing - very sunk in.
3. Vegetarian food selection was difficult. A lot of the buffet items were incorrectly labelled as vegetarian (I think chicken and seafood is considered veggie in Egypy). However the hotel chefs went out of their way to make us something vegetarian, which was much appreciated.
4. Only 50 seats in the restaurant, so if you want to book to eat there as part of the all inclusive option, you really have to book as soon as you wake up the day before, otherwise the other tourist have already reserved the restaurants.

From the moment we walked into reception, the staff could not do enough to help. The best service I've ever received. The food was outstanding, especially the Asian Al a carte!!! It seems the Sunrise chain have recently taken over this hotel so does need a bit of TLC but nothing lacking that spoilt our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully return one day.

I arrived early in the morning about 10:30am and the resort checked me in with no fuss or extra cost. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was also spacious, clean and my balcony overlooked the pools within the resort, which was great. The food in the international buffet restaurant provided a wide variety of choice and very good.

I recommend this resort to anyone wishing to visit Hurghada.

The room and the furniture were worn, but the cleaning was very good.
The food was really good – all meals were good with delicious food. Every day there were new and different dishes.
The swimming pool was really good, perhaps with a small downside regarding the beach, which was very small.
The hotel itself, the lounge, and the restaurant were quite nice.
We had a fantastic holiday.

Das Bett war schmutzig. Und das Zimmer hat übel gerochen. Man sagte mir man könne mir kein anderes Zimmer geben, da sie komplett ausgebucht wären. Komischerweise waren im Netz noch Zimmer in diesem Hotel für den selben Tag verfügbar. Das Personal hat sich nicht sonderlich professionell verhalten. Eher flapsig. Wenig respektvoll.
Der einzig positive Aspekt dieses Hotels ist v das recht gut ausgestattete Fitnessstudio

Bei unserer Buchung war leider kein Flughafentransfer inbegriffen, sodass wir uns darum selbst kümmern mussten. Das Hotel ist insgesamt schön und die Wege gut zu schaffen. Bei unserem Zimmer gab es zunächst einige Probleme, die aber auf Nachfrage behoben werden konnten. Wechseln durften wir unser Zimmer leider nicht.
Die Poollandschaft war abwechslungsreich und der Strand sauber. Leider kann man keinen weiteren Strandspaziergang machen, weil nur ein kleiner Privatstrand vorhanden ist. Gestört hat uns, dass man am Pool und draußen auf der Straße ständig angequatscht wird, weil einem jemand etwas verkaufen möchte.
Der Zimmerboy war ziemlich auf Trinkgeld aus und hat immer wieder gefragt, ob wir seine schöne Deko gesehen hätten. Gewischt hat er den Boden allerdings nicht.
Das Essen hat sich insgesamt schnell wiederholt, aber man findet trotzdem immer etwas, weil die Auswahl groß ist. Beim Frühstück hätte es etwas mehr Aufschnittauswahl geben können und wir haben natürlich den Bacon vermisst. Aber auch dort gab es Alternativen. Das italienische Restaurant wird gerade renoviert, deswegen gibt es beim griechischen Restaurant an jedem zweiten Tag das italienische Essen. Es war allerdings schwierig, dort einen Platz zu bekommen, weil ständig alles ausgebucht war. Es wäre schön, wenn man vorher irgendwo die Karten der Restaurants einsehen könnte.
Wir haben auch den Beauty Salon ausgetestet. Mit der Gesichtsbehandlung waren wir zufrieden, mit den Finger- und Fußnägeln jedoch nicht.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Unser Zimmer war renoviert, sauber und gemütlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und lecker, und die abendlichen Shows waren unterhaltsam und gut gemacht.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: Der Strand ist in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte dringend eine Renovierung.

Jag är så nöjd med min vistelse, har varit på andra resort i hurghada men här var servicen på annan nivå! De är verkligen mån om dig som gäst, ser till att du har det bra och möter dig vid dina behov.
Hotellet ligger väldigt bra till , nära butiker/bazar och kort taxi resa till senzo mall etc
Maten på restaurangerna man kunde boka på var jätte goda!! A la carte bör alla reserva på särkilt asiatiska(!!!) och grekiska wow!
I övrigt, fint hotell, bra pooler, bra privat strand, bra underhållning!
Enda kanske var att toan var lite ofräsch men det var inget som inte gick att lösa

Weiterempfehlung in ALLEN Bereichen! Der Hotelmanager Herr Salama und Frau Jenya haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Mit dem ersten Zimmer waren wir nicht ganz zufrieden und hatten dies geäußert. Innerhalb der nächsten Stunden wurden uns Alternativen angeboten und wir bekamen ein Upgrade. Das Familienzimmer mit Jakuzzi ist ein Traum. Großes DANKE an Herr Salam und Frau Jenya. Beide haben ihr Bestes gegeben um uns einen Traumhaften Urlaub zu ermöglichen! Auf alle Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Frau Zeyna war immer sehr freundlich und hat sich täglich nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Zudem spricht sie sehr gutes Deutsch.
Im Whirpool wurde täglich was Wasser gewechselt. In der kompletten Anlage sind sehr viele Aufsichten an den Pools. Was sehr beruhigend war, da die Kinder somit alleine rutschen konnten und auch alleine in die Pools konnten.

Zum Zimmer - sehr sauber und groß.

Im Großen und Ganzen können wir nach vielen Hurghada Hotels klar sagen! Wir kommen wieder hierher!
Preis Leistung passt super hier. Von klein bis groß - für jeden was in dieser schönen sauberen Hotelanlage was dabei!

I returned to this hotel for the second time, expecting to enjoy the same quality of service I experienced during my first stay. Unfortunately, this time was a disaster. A very important bracelet was stolen from my room, and the hotel’s response was completely unacceptable. Instead of taking the situation seriously, they insinuated that I was lying and pretended to investigate, but it was clear they were just trying to placate me. Their sole intention was to calm me down to avoid a scandal or a bad review, as they knew exactly what they were doing. There were no consequences for the person involved. To add to this, their safe was not working, even though I had reported the issue multiple times. When we returned from breakfast, the cleaning staff was still in our room, and there were two €5 bills together on the table that the staff member noticed, telling me I had forgotten them there. Later, when I filed my complaint, he supposedly told the manager that he found the money under the bed, trying to distance himself from it and portray himself as someone decent. When we realized that my bracelet had disappeared, knowing that it had always been placed in the same spot, we also noticed that my friend’s bag had been opened. Luckily for them, we didn’t know exactly how much money was inside, which prevented an even worse situation. Fortunately, not all people are bad, and some employees couldn’t believe what was happening…
