Classic, quaint, best hotel

I have travelled in many different countries and stayed in many hotels. During my visit in Hurghada this time too, I changed and stayed in 5 different resorts. And Continental Hotel was the best. It’s so classic and quaint, beautiful and clean. And also, I must mention a staff working there, Serag. He was the most professional staff I have ever met my whole life full with lots of travel. He is the power house and the centre of Intercontinental Hotel and thanks to him, the the atmosphere of the hotel changes and guests can have very pleasant and nice time. The best hotel and best staffs. Thank you!

The hotel is great - rooms, restaurants, swimming pool, clean sandy beach and more than . amazing What distinguishes the hotel most is the taste in dealing from the management and all colleagues, without exception, in terms of reception, room service and laundry. The only good thing for the hotel is the beach and the pool. Everything else from food to service was bad, food was very bad as a quality and very limited. Bed was very noisy and not comfortable. Animation team and night shows were very poor in comparison to other hotels.

Great Hotel in the best location of Hurgada.

A few days as a couple away from Cairo and work. It was just perfect.
Since Hurgada city transformed into another crowded Egyptian city it was crucial to be in the (Sweet Spot). Continental Hotel is in the best location adjacent to Hilton and Steigenberger hotels. Very nice private beach, snack bars and water sports. Even a private little marina where you can have cruises to small protected islands, dive or snorkeling.
Everyone working in the hotel were very decent an helpful doing everything they can to help you enjoy your time to the max.
Great restaurants and Chef who even took an extra step to prepare a special treat which my wife asked for.
Should I visit Hurgada again soon I will stay i Continental.

Me and my wife stayed in classic room with partial sea view.
Staff was really helpful, location is great, room very clean and joyful view and sea is amazing
In general the hotel atmosphere was charming.
The aqua center is great, thank you Mohamed Taha for the great banana boat ride and flipping us in water.
I will go again next time and book in that hotel.
P.S. I was driving a car so it was easy for us to move around

Great Hotel and Great Location

Overall a great experience, hotel staff were always on hand and helpful. The only negative was that I had booked a king sized bed however upon arrival the room had two double beds which is not ideal for a couple on honeymoon. We had joined the beds together so was not a major concern. Would highly recommend and stay at Continental Hotel again.

I booked two room. The rooms were in an excellent view. In the last two days in the hotel, two of us (one from each room) could not sleep will due to something Like (bug, flying ant or ???). thing thing leave a red spot in the skin. I asked to change bed covers, but the problem still on. I inform the reception with problem (in the last day), they advise me that the hotel will solve this issue chemically.

Nice hotel, good service, good variety of food.

The hotel was conveniently located not far from the airport. The hotel beach area was safe for children and easily accessible. The selection of food was good and the entertainment ("Animation") team were enthusiastic and provided plenty of optional activities/entertainment within the hotel resort. Good facilities within the hotel (pool, gym, table tennis, spa, ATM, shopping) and a short stroll to the bazaars and shops from the hotel for provisions and souvenirs.

The hotel is ok but not 5 star.
Wi fi only available at the lobby and internet connection very poor.
The staff doesn’t speak much English.
The money exchange was never possible at the hotel.
Gym equipment very old and most of the equipment was out of order.
No air conditioning available in the gym.
Overall the experience was not terrible but the hotel is definetely over rated.

Pros.
-Nice location
-Great beach
-Great staff
-Good food variation
-clean pool
-mid size hotel (which is nice for me, I don't like large hotel)
-Responsive staff

Cons.
-I was in a non-smoking room, although sometimes the AC bring me a terrible odor of smoking.
the staff was responsive to my complain and sent a guy with an air freshener. but that repeated next day.
-Toiletries was so little and not added until you asked for, I bought some soap for myself.

The person that awarded this hotel as 5 star must have been bereft of sight, taste and smell. The food was, at best abysmal, at worst inedible, without variety or quality. The entertainment was OK if you liked belly dancers.....every night. NOT RECOMMENDED

Horrible stay!

This hotel, shouldn't be called a hotel, it is a nightmare for holiday seekers. Cons: 1. Beds are extremely uncomfortable
3. Bathroom is disgusting, black sing and tub silicon winning, old worn out wood, etc.
4. We found a lizard in the room second night, which I suspect came from the gaps in the false ceiling
5. On third night we woke up and the room was flooded with water and we had chargers and cables on the floor for charging our gadgets every night. I called the room service and they reacted 3 hours after this incident!!
6. The majority of electrical outlets in the room were loose and kept falling off and switches were not working in a few cases.
7. The room at check in had a bottle of eater already in the mini bar and some had drank from it already, so no inspection happened before the next guest
8. In our full inclusive package, this include 2 ice cream vouchers per guest everyday. We were handed these on our 3rd night not on when first arrived.
9. Breakfast and dinner if bad, cheapest food possible and food is lefties before the closing time. Also, then food amount finished they never get replaced even 30min. before closing time.
10. We saw cockroaches in the dinning area and the waiter caught and squashed it with one of the napkins used by guest, so what does that tell you about service, cleanliness and everything else!!
My advice, do not get close to this hotel, and spread the word to others.

When we first came the welcoming was very nice & fast checking in , then we ate lunch .. it was horrible ! Wa said let's wait for dinner, much more worse .. we wanted to check out because of this .. we told the front disk about this problem , the chef himself came & appologized , heard all our complaints .. the very next day we had a very delightful asin themed dinner & we noticed a great change in food quality for the next three days

arrived to the hotel 2 hours earlier than check in time. I came with a smile to the front desk -marco- telling him i know I'm early, but please let me know if I can check in any early. Only for him to say we're fully booked !..
I can't help but think, Seriously ? I mean congrats you guys are not affected by what's happening around due to safety and no much tourism in Egypt . but wouldn't it be better to say I'll do my best instead ? Or u can wait by the pool? Other than that We were welcomed with a welcome drink and place seems nice.
after a while i was given a wrong room type, pool garden view, then had to complain and got moved to partial see and finally i was given a sea view room, which is what i paid for originally !
Thx to Mahmoud from the FD who did his best to make sure i'm okay at the end.
Hotel is clean, rooms are okay, but no much facilities in the hotel to make it 5 stars.

I was there on vacation. I really loved the balcony. It had a great view of sunrise. Moreover, the hotel has a beautiful private beach. The staffs were nice and helpful, especially the front desk & the concierge. Although I enjoyed the food served in the hotel, but I also recommend to try out the restaurants right in front of the hotel gate. I suppose the hotel is located in a pretty safe neighbourhood. There is a convenience store nearby, as well as a supermarket (Carrfour) and a local marketplace at some distance.

Nice but not a five star (for sure)

Well, I can't be very objective here as I had just came from a 3star hotel in Greenville SC, USA. Yet, the 3star hotel was better than this one! For the following reasons: I stayed for check-in for 1hr30mins, waiting to get my room. The room smells okay, but the bed smells as if it is humid for long time. The bathroom was a bit old. Daily I was waiting for the room service to get me shampoo and shower gel, but surprisingly the guy told me we only have shower gel and you can use it for both!!! The breakfast was okay, not excellent as it is not always fresh and the bakery needs improvement. The beach is clean. I told the receptionist about my comments, but no one had called me or even show that they care about my comments; except for getting us shampoo on our 5th day of the 7days of stay. I would recommend it as a 3 star hotel, but again I am not sure if you may fine the 5star in any other hotel in Hurghada or this is the best. Good luck with your search, but Hurghada is really a wonderful and nice place to enjoy your vacation and relax :)

Love this hotel staff are excellent, and very friendly and welcoming, without being over familiar. Room was excellent with plenty of storage space and coat hangers, excellent large balcony with good views of sea and surrounding area, excellent night-time entertainment and even a free ironing room so you can look your best on holiday. trips were reasonably priced and value for money.
