This charming hotel is right in the center of the action. An easy walk to the Christmas market! It is a little walk from the Subway but manageable and charming. Just we aware you will be rolling your suitcase over cobblestone.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was also very clean. The hotel was clean and staff was great so I bumped it to 4 stars, but the beds are hard and the rooms are awkwardly shaped and some aspects tiny. Each room is set up differently but the shower in our room was tiny and it was impossible not to flood the bathroom. And very slippery floor.

Next time hope to be in the hotel itself. In any case we hope to return to Nuremburg not just during Christmas market season but in the warmer months.

Lovely front desk people! Very helpful! Our room for 3 people was roomy, comfortable and clean. Near the Christmas markets and everything else in the old town. The parking is somewhat inconvenient which is to be expected in this part of the city. The Christmas market on opening weekend was ridiculously crowded. I would go later on if I do it again

Cannot say enough about how friendly staff was. We were running late to check-in and the gentleman at the desk reassured us that Expedia had the check in times in correct (not 9pm but 11pm). Upon arrival he showed us to our apartment which was absolutely lovely. Fully equipped kitchen, great minibar (fair price), cozy bed, and a great view. You’re near all the sights and several restaurants are at your doorstep. Lovely little spot!

We stayed at four different hotels as we traveled through Bavaria, but Hotel Elch Boutique was our favorite! The staff were incredibly friendly, the location was amazing, and the Bavarian charm was everything we were seeking during our trip. We were even greeted with a personalized welcome sign and some gummi candies when we walked into our room :) We would (will!) absolutely stay there again.

The Hotel Elch is delightful! It is perfectly situated for walking to many of Nuremberg’s wonderful Old Town sites. The breakfast was great and the staff are friendly and so helpful with restaurant advice and so on. We had a lovely stay.

For visiting the sites of Nuremberg, the location can't be beaten. The hotel is literally one street over from the street most guide books consider as a must-see/must-photograph. For us, having an air conditioned room (rare in many Germany hotels,) inexpensive surcharge parking (in the city Centrum,) and an inexpensive pet (dog) fee were all selling points. We were pleased with everything. The shower in our upgraded room was still very tight for large people.

My room (#117) is soooo beautiful. It's nice and spacious and has a cool view out the window up the street to the church on the hill. The door is clean and modern, without being cold. You walk through a hallway with closets to get the bathroom, making it even more comfortable and spacious to store your stuff outside of the bedroom. The TV works great and is comfortable to watch from the bed; it's on a rotating arm, so I could also watch it from the chair. It has about 5 English channels, so I could keep caught up on news. The checkin process was quick and easy. Each room has its own temperature control (separate in the bathroom and bedroom), so I am able to keep the room cozy on a rainy night.

Overall stay was very nice, the room looks exactly the same as the photo provided by the website. The room located right across from the office but entrance to the room (hallway, stairs, and elevator) is dark. Bathroom is relatively small. Location is great though.

Terrible experience at this hotel - the front desk receptionist members were not friendly or helpful. I was told this place was so/so and decided to give it a chance, save your energy and book one of the other places (on the square) for a better experience! Would not come back at all.

Easy to find this small but well located building - the staff were exceptionally helpful, spoke and understood English to a good level. The Elch is located about a five minute walk from the Christkindlmarkt, and is thus very convenient for access to the museums and shops in the old city of Nuremberg. The room I had, #14, was relatively large for a European double in a \"historic\" area, with a comfortable bed and a somewhat small bathroom. It was very clean, the temperature system worked well (there is AC for the summer) and the towels and amenities were typical of this price range. The room decor was much above average, with modern furnishings, and my room had a large glassed-over outdoor seating area that would have been nice in warm weather.
Breakfast was also typical of the price range; bread and rolls, cheese, cold cuts and also scrambled eggs and very decent sausages.
I felt the hotel was good value, and it had quite a bit of charm.

Loved the layout of the single room I occupied and the tiny terrace with the romantic view over the roofs of the ancient city. Breakfast, which is not a priority in my case, was varied and excellent. Location near the most important sights could not have been better and the staff was without exception cheerful and helpful.

A small but well appointed boutique hotel tucked away in one of the many winding streets in the old city but only a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport or a 12 minute walk from the main railway station.
The original building is around 430 years old and was originally a bakery but we stayed in the \"new\" section that was built in the 19th century. The interior has been recently up upgraded in modern decore and amenities. The only criticisms, a hard mattress which might not suit everyone and very small bathroom that can only accommodate one person at a time.

Excellent small modern clean hotel. Good location in old town Nuremburg; about a 5 minute walk to main square and closest U-bahn. Main station about 20 minutes walk or 1 stop on U-bahn. Good wifi service and decent desk space for those of us who may need to work instead of enjoying the sights of Nuremburg.

This was our first time to Nuremberg. Stayed at the Sheraton the first 2 nights and moved to Hotel Elch. Hotel Staff is more than friendly and helpful! The room was amazing and comfortable. Breakfast was great!! We will definitely go back to Hotel Elch if we ever make it back to beautiful Nuremberg again.

If you want to stay in the center of Nuremberg, then this is your hotel! They provide excellent service and offer great advice on what to see and where to eat and drink. The rooms were very cute and comfortable. It was such a great place that I canceled my hotel for Saturday and stayed another night.

What a fantastic friendly hotel, this is definitely a hotel we will stay at again, clean comfortable and ideally placed to see the old Nuremberg. Very good breakfasts, there is parking although this is limited to approximately 7 cars it is open and accessed through a passageway between some buildings opposite, there is a small charge and I would advise that if you can you try to secure a parking place when you book as there is very limited parking nearby. Hotel Elch gets our vote and we will be back again next year.

Hotel Elch is a fine hotel in Nuremberg. The staff was cordial and very efficient. The room we had, number 26 was large with a comfortable couch and seating for a couple of people. Wifi was included which is not universal in Germany. Breakfast I would have to say is only average, being very crowded, and the variety was only ok.
