A little dirty but a good stay

The room was fairly clean , I had a twin bed room and I pushed the beds together as I was alone but when I moved them back before I left I noticed a bunch of dirt under one of the beds (it was wrappers etc but not from me). Otherwise the room was very good , I did find the doorway a little odd as it’s like you walk into a little cupboard and then into a bigger room but otherwise great. No details for check-out or WiFi but easily accessible online. Very good location in the city , close to both the sites and a local Aldi. Staff were very friendly and helpful - especially with my broken German!

We stayed here when visiting the Christmas market. It’s about a 20 minute walk or a tram ride away. Overall not bad. The breakfast was ok but a little overpriced for the options they provide. The only thing I’d say is the hotel felt a bit isolated. Not much around it and when you enter at any time of the day there are barely any people around. We also found it took a long time for our room to warm up. But overall a decent place to stay.

Staff were nice and helpful. It was very difficult to find a spot to park to check in. Very small bathroom. Room was on the smaller size but still okay. The bed did not have the crevice down the middle, which was nice. View was good and hotel is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. First night was a weekend and it was pretty quiet. The second night of our stay they put a couple with a young screaming baby in the room next to us and it woke up every two hours to scream for about 20 minutes each time, so we didn't get much rest. The closest entrance to Old Town is by the red light district, so may not be good for families.
I also woke up with allergies (stuffy nose and throat, swollen eyes) both days, and that only happened at this place, so I'm not sure if that's an issue with their laundry detergent/sanitizer, bedding materials, pet dander, or dust mites.

The hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and mass transit. The employees were very helpful in every way. The room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and it was clean. The breakfast was very nice, but had the same thing every day. It would have been nice to have more of a variety of hot food daily. All in all, a nice stay for the money.

Stayed in mid-October. Despite the warm weather the air conditioning was \"switched off for winter\", so the room was very hot. We were advised to open the window. Lucky for us we had a room out the back - if it was on the main road it would have been very loud. Hotel is in need of renovation. Location is decent and staff helpful, but would choose another hotel next time.

The guy who check me in was rude. And tried to tell me i had no reservation, wanted me to pay again. I was there for an hour after i made my reservation before he said oh here it is. I wouldn't have minded to pay again, but they dont issue refunds and they didnt have my reservation.

The hotel itself is clean, the staff was nice and there is an underground parking facility (extra fee). The hotel is next to the national museum. However, the Internet signal is so weak (I was on the 5th Floor) and the neighbourhood wasn't very nice near the subway.

OK hotel, no tea or coffee facilities in room. Close to centre & station but not ideal for women as you have go past many groups of single men all from southern or eastern Mediterranean area, standing, sitting on steps drinking smoking etc. I would not let my wife stay here on her own for safety concerns. Bed was comfortable.

Nice hotel and very well situated - 10-15 min walk into the centre of town therefore very well situated to get to the Christmas Markets without being right on top of things. Hotel was clean and check in easy - which is all you can ask from a budget hotel really. Pillows a little uncomfortable and the room very warm (AC only worked to heat and not cool the room!) but yeah a good stay for a couple of days and for the price you can't go wrong.

The staff here don't know the definition of good customer service. I had a 2 night booking here and after the first night I decided to leave because the room is extremely hot and the air condition doesn't do any justice. There is no kettle in the room which is a let down however you're able to get hot water from reception. I will never stay in a ibis hotel again. Their breakfast is also mediocre with very little vegetarian options.

Nice hotel near Opera House!

Second time I've stayed here :-) I really like this hotel for its' proximity to amenities, transportation and most important of all, the Opera House! I enjoyed a very clean, neat and quiet room with a very comfy double bed. Their breakfasts are awesome, featuring waffles! Lots of space in the main dining area. Dinner was very good as well with a nice choice of main dishes and bar selection. Of course, WiFi is freely available and important to note are the number electrical outlets available :-) Last, but not least, staff were very professional, friendly and solution-oriented. I would stay here, first choice, next occasion.

I had requested 2 rooms next to each other and on arrival it was not the case. The member of the staff was very kind and organised it for, but it was obviously possible to do it so why was not done?
The room in general was fine one electric plug next to the phone doesn't seem to be working.
Thanks we had a good night sleep.

Room was spacious and comfortable, clean.
Bed sheets changed every day and wooden floor was clean and tidy, feels better than carpet.
Shower head was leaking so not enough water pressure that's the only minor.

Good hotel just outside the city center walls

I stayed two nights. The hotel is located literally across a 4 lane street from the old walled city center. There is one of the 5 old towers close by so that you can never get lost. The city center is all walkable from here. There is parking, but it costs 8.5 Euro a day. It is in the basement under the hotel. The gate is roughly 10 meters from the front door. You do need to get a token from reception to get out. I wish the hotel staff would have explained that. Instead, I wasted 20 minutes trying to figure out how to leave the hotel and running back up to reception to retrieve a token.

Other than that, the room was comfortable and the bed was nice. There were plenty of plug ins for electronic devices and the internet was okay. Not great, but okay.

I would stay there again.

Everything was great. The only issue I had was the lack of help when I wanted to arrange cleaning and ironing of two shirts. I checked-in on a Friday afternoon and needed the shirts by Sunday afternoon. The lady at reception said it was impossible and when I asked for an alternative dry-cleaning location, I was told \"far away\". So not very helpful considering their brochures in the room were all about helping you with whatever your needs may be. Other than that - fine!! ;)

I stayed here 4 nights while attending a tradeshow at the exhibition center. It was usually 18-20 euros to the exhibition center.
Hotel was clean and the free breakfast was good. I find it a bit annoying when hotels don't have an iron and board in the room, but the front desk did have them. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the main Nuremberg train station. Also a very short walk to what i assume is the main downtown area, lots of cathedrals, pubs and nice places to eat.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Air conditioning in room was main reason for selecting this hotel during a heat wave and its was a welcome relief indeed! Parking is limited (36 spaces) so had to use a multi story car park which was a 2 minute walk away and cost at an hourly rate with a maximum cap limit. Food in hotel was of a good standard and reasonably well prices for a hotel. Hotel worthy of another star in my opinion easily!

Hotel good, location good & bad

The hotel is within walking distance of the Hbf station if you don’t have luggage and just outside the old town walls. A taxi to the hotel from the Hbf was less than 10 Euro. It wasn’t until we arrived and went to the tourist information centre that we found out if you walk along the main road (Frauentorgraben) to the hotel, you will be passing the red light area (on the other side of the wall). As we entered the old town at the entrance near the Plarrer U-Bahn and didn’t go out after dark, this wasn’t a problem for us.The room was on the small side and very similar to other Ibis hotels but that’s why we picked the Ibis, you know what you will get. This is a budget hotel so it is very basic (hairdryer, phone & TV), which is fine (you get what you pay for). The room was clean, the beds comfortable and everything worked in the bathroom. My only complaint (which applies to all the Ibis hotels I’ve stayed in) is that they do not provide hand towels in the bathroom, only 2 bath towels. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to a friend is knowing it is near the red light area.

The people that worked at the hotel were incredibly friendly. Even when I heard them dealing with really rude guests, they didn't drop their standard of service. My room was comfy, small, exactly what I expected. The hotel was easy to find, just take the U1 from the Hauptbahnhof and then its literally across the way. Very convenient. Would stay again!
