The Hotel itself was fine, reception was friendly and fast, rooms were clean and comfortable for the most part, apart from some questionable stains on the curtains. The downside is that a homeless camp has taken over the vacant property next door which is an eyesore and on Sunday morning we were woken by people yelling at each other for at least an hour. This was annoying because the advertised AC was not working so we had to have the window open to try to maintain a livable temperature in the room. The area is not very friendly but it is a short walk from the aldstadt and Ubahn so leaving is convenient.

The breakfast staff and food quality/variety was good. Room was small but mostly clean.
We chose this hotel based on a previous Hotel Leonardo stay, but should have researched more. While the hotel itself is small but nice, staff is friendly, the area around has many boarded up buildings, shady looking motels, a derelict building with squatters is directly beside the hotel. Not the hotel's fault, but not being familiar with the area didn't feel comfortable going out after dark, especially since traveling with family.

Arrived at the hotel around Midnight, pleasant greeting and given room info quickly.
On the notes I requested a travel cot which was not provided, receptionist couldn’t do anything until the morning so headed to our room and unpacked. After unpacking we had a call from reception offering us a different room as it was a king bed so there was more room for the 3 of us. When we went to this room there was also a travel cot. Not sure if we were given wrong room initially or just pot luck there was a cot in this one. Both rooms were clean, and the second room was so spacious, our little one loved being able to crawl around the room.

Initially thought the location was a little far away, but the old town was a 10 minute walk, and closest underground station a mere 5 minutes, and tram was even closer. So it turned out the location was great for us.

Hotel is located within walking distance to the old town. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful pointing out helpful information. What I didn't liked is that our room had the view from the window of an old abandoned and ruined building. Also, very small bathroom.

Hotel was quite nice. Rooms very clean. We did not have a car but walked everywhere. Convenient to Plarrer station. Breakfast was excellent. Staff spoke English and were very helpful giving directions and so on. The area in which the hotel is located is not as nice as some, but we had no problems walking all over the place. Only five minutes to the old town.

In my search I ticked free parking and Leonardo was on a list of available hotels which I booked. However on arrivals we were told the parking wasn't free and cost 15 euros a day. I explained and asked to talk to the manager but no-one from the management was available. Although there were spaces available on Street but this left a bad experience. The bathroom was also very small.

Decent hotel, very efficient. Rooms small, bar small, billiards table small and not in amazing condition, but hey, at least they have one. Shower was slightly difficult to get in and out of. Sidewalk outside really small and kinda cobblestoned, so tricky to wheel luggage. Not located in the best couple of blocks in town, but only 3 blocks from the U-bahn and a major street. If you cross the major street, you are in the old walled city, so its location is not inconvenient.

Everything was great with one exception: i was promised parking and they did not save a spot for me. the desk clerk sent me to a lot that was rather questionable and cost five euros--and the clerk did not either give me the five euros for the machine OR take it off my bill. i do think one of the two things should have been done. So beware, this hotel seems to offer more parking than it has.

No air conditioning made for a long hot night! Location is a short drive from old portion of the city. The neighborhood is a little sketch and there isn’t much to look at or do around the hotel if you are on foot. Street parking is available if you find a place otherwise it’s 15 Euros. No ice machine (although the night clerk got us ice from the bar which melted pretty quick in our hot room. The hotel provided a small fan that really didn’t help. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. Not too many amenities. There is a restaurant and bar but it was closed at 8:00 pm when we checked in so I could rate it. The Bavarian restaurant at Albrecht-Dürer-Straße 6, 90403 Nuremberg Germany - was amazing - best food in Germany! 10 minutes drive or so from the hotel.

Good hotel for the price.

The clergymen are very friendly & the room is clean. The location of the hotel in terms of closeness to old City Nuremberg is great! In opposition, the location of the hotel is not the best, it's located next to a club and currently has construction going on across the street. It's a busy road at night, so sleep was a bit difficult, however, the hotel itself is good!

Location is good with a short walk to the U-Bahn. Breakfast was good. They have a big issue with sewer and the bathroom and sink had a very bad and strong smell the whole time. Hotel have acknowledge of this problem but they don't do something to fix it not even an apology if you complaint about the very bad odors.

The hotel itself is not too far from the main station, we walked it but could also get the subway 2 stops. It is a quiet hotel, nothing to complain about or write home about. It is in good condition with friendly front desk people. The area surrounding the hotel was very dodgy at night, we were afraid to walk around to look for a restaurant for dinner (not many restaurants in the area, just kebab shops) and we ordered delivery to the hotel instead.

The overall impression of the hotel was fair, not much more. It is a 'minimum' hotel. A general overhaul wouldn't hurt. Our toilet didn't function when we checked in. It was then fixed, but didn't work again when we left. Management of breakfast service was excellent. Very attentive, very friendly.

Excellent hotel although cleaner left little in the way of tea bags & less creamer-had to ask. Unfortunately area is not very nice, buildings demolished both opposite & next door, did not want to return too late at night so reduced our time in the old town which was about a mile away. No restaurants,shops or bars nearby other than bar in hotel.

Nice hotel. Recently refurbished. Good vibe when you enter reception. Hotel bar is small but was never overcrowded and very comfy/relaxed atmosphere. Loads of toiletries available for free if you have forgotten anything and also umbrellas to hire. Only downside on ground floor was smell from the drainage in the bathroom.

A nice Hotel in a lovely city. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again. Breakfast was very good with a large selection. Hotel was basic but very clean and modern. situated 3 min walk from the city walls and about 10 min walk to the centre in Jacobs square. We walked from the train station in around 15 min but you can take the underground which will take you about 5 min walk to the hotel. the hotel is situated in the back streets and looks like a rough area but we had no issues walking around at night and found it a quiet area. The hotel itself is very modern and clean and staff where very friendly.

I stayed here for two nights with my wife and daughter. We had a great stay, everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly. The exact location is not the nicest eye catcher, but the rooms make up for it. It is about a 10 minute walk from the city center, and the walk allowed for some nice sight seeing.

We used this hotel as a stop over on our drive back from Austria to the UK. There is on street parking outside (which we used), or the hotel car park is EUR15 a night. The area around the hotel is quite run down, but the hotel itself was modern and clean, with comfortable bed, good shower, has a kettle and a fan for the hot night. Location wise it's just a short walk into the beautiful town of Nuremberg. Cannot comment on breakfast as we thought it was quite pricey and wanted to get on the road. Staff were efficient and welcoming.

Simple to reach from the airport.

This is a very good hotel in every aspect we could not fault it ,its very clean, excellent staff and a comfortable bed .No air con but a small fan is standard in every room, also tea/coffee making facilities .
Distance from the city wall is about 8 minutes walk ,its also handy for the underground and tram stops and simple to reach the airport without having to change platforms or mode of transport.

Nice hotel and staff but the smell in my room...

The hotel and my room were clean and comfortable overall. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

Each morning after I showered, I could smell sewage coming from the bathroom. I suppose this was due to the hotel being full and many occupants showering at the same time (many of us were attending the same conference). I stayed an extra day and I did not notice the smell to day following when most people had checked out. The hotel staff did address my concerns and cleaned the bathroom thoroughly but to no avail.

I will not stay here again during a large conference and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone attending under similar conditions. With that said, if the hotel is not fully booked, the smell is unlikely to occur and I would recommend this hotel based on the other merits.

PS. There is no lunch, dinner, or room service offered. I think the breakfast is all cold but I did not eat breakfast at the hotel so I cant say for sure. Likely there is no proper kitchen?

Parking near the hotel was all reserved spots, we ended up paying the 12€ per night to use their lot. The restrauants are all more than a 20 minutes walk from the property. The view from our window was an overgrown empty lot and there was a lot of noise throughout the night. One of our windows was missing the handle so it was not operational.

Hotel room was perfectly clean, modern, roomy, etc. The pictures of the room on the site are accurate. The rest of hotel is not as modern looking, but perfectly acceptable! The staff was very friendly as well, both at check-in & check-out. Great little bar area. Biggest downfall is that the area the hotel is in is not that great. Our view from the room was of a vacant dirt & grass lot, or the back of someone's home that was very run down, and full of trash. There was a gated parking lot available for a fee, which we used, as we did not want to park our car on the street. The hotel is walking distance from the city center & the Criskindlemarket area. However, we definitely didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood after dark. We did not eat the breakfast there so cannot comment either way on that.

A rather disappointing experience

A rather disappointed experience mainly due to the fact I had booked a double bed room and for exactly the same price I was downgraded to a single bed without any explanation. Staff was helpful but quite blunt to their interaction. Breakfast was nice with a satisfactory variety. Unfortunately, after the last experience I will have double thoughts of coming back to you Leonardo Hotels. At leat Nuremberg is beautiful!

Hotel has no air conditioning, and no way to control the heat in your room, other than to have it off. It got very warm as it was +30 outside, as it is in the summer. Some sort of construction/renovation was going on during my stay, and they decided to start at 8am. I'm sure they were using jackhammers to break up concrete, as it shook the entire hotel. When that wasn't waking you up, the breakfast area right outside your room window was. One night had kids screaming in the hallways at 230am, the next had people fighting at 330am. Actual yelling and shoving. Legitimately the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very helpful..the room was clean and quiet..the shower was nice with very hot water. The breakfast was very good although not spectacular.
Many reviews downgrade because of location. It wasn't a problem..only a short walk to

Two Thumbs Up for Leornardo Hotel Nurenberg

My business partner and I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Nurenberg for 5 nights on my first trip to Germany. Although it was located somewhat off the main tourist district of Lorenz Kirche, it was very conveient considering the relatively small size of Nurenberg. The hotel itself provided convenient and comfortable atmosphere. For what was paid for the stay, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff, especially the young gentleman who worked mostly through the early part of our trip was very kind and helpful. When I come back to Nurenberg, I am definitely coming back to the Leornardo hotel for sure.

Because we areived among the last guests we were given smoking room with two single beds even though we booked double. Room smelled of smoke and beds were uncomfortable.
They did manage to move us to a better room next day which was much better! Non smoking and very comfy bed!

only so so. Hotel corridors dark, shortage of staff at check in, unable to use ground floor bar on one evening,
