The bathroom door would not close (door too big for door frame). Hook on back of bathroom door hanging by one screw and unusable. We stayed 2 nights - came back to room on the second day at 4PM - bed was not made and dirty towels were on the floor. We inquired at the front desk and were told there is no housekeeping provided on multiple day stays. There was no signage regarding no housekeeping at the front desk. We were given additional towels but were told to leave the wet, used towels on the floor of the room.

I had reserve a room. But my spouse as a problem of claustrophobia and she is allergic to animals. She has always the need to visit the room before to accept a room. Why. Because it's when she is in the room she can see if she's well. When we entered in the room, she opened the curtains and a wall was pretty closed of the window. It's not only the size of the room that is important, she needs an open space outside from the window. We asked for the second floor to may be have an open space in front of the window. All the second floor was rented. We asked if there was a room on the parking available but those room were for people with animals. There was no room for her need available. It's a challenge to find a room for her. We asked all the time for a room without being occupied by pets but sometimes immediatly when she enters in the room she smells the previous presence of pets. Plus, the problem I had reserve with Hotels.com with a reward to pay the room. Somebody from the hotel is supposed to call me. No call up to now.

The hotel was in decent shape. The guy working the front desk when we checked in had an attitude tho. Morning staff was great. But that guy at night was rude. He gave me vibes we were getting hustled when he told us we had to pay cash only for the deposit. As most hotels dont even accept cash at all. And hr absolutely refused to let us pay card for the deposit. Luckily I have a family member who is a gm for red roof so I asked her if it wad legit and it was. But the way he came off definitely thought we were getting robbed lol. Other then the experience with him everything else was good. The room was clean. And the beds were comfy. Id stay again as long as he didnt check us in.

Recent renovation looks good. Only complaint: the window on my first floor room wasn't locked. SAFETY IS THE HIGHEST PRIORITY, as a hotel operator. Every (first floor) window should be checked EVERY TIME a housekeeper services a room and there should probably be something like a broom stick cut to fit the track of the sliding window, so it is OBVIOUS if the window could be opened from the outside. I advised the front desk and warned two other guests I saw.

The filters on the heating/cooling unit were very clean (it's the first thing I check when I get into a room) The woman at the front desk was very sweet and friendly.The room was quiet and conveniently close to side door to take dog out. Now the negative: I pulled the sheets down and there was fresh soiled stains that smelled as well as dark hair. There was a sticky stain on floor beside bed and the bathroom floor was very dirty. I always take pics and send to my friends. They say I'm the Hotel Inspector!

First I went to the front desk to complain, then my husband went a second time to complain. The gentleman at the front did go and speak to the person staying above us. The music lessened but the noise continued. We had to rush out in the morning so we called from the car to speak to someone. We had had a terrible night and felt that some sort of compensation was only fair. Nobody has called me back. This is the Red Roof Inn in Binghamton. Not nice. We're very disappointed.

I would like to note that I have never posted a negative review about anything online. But I cannot let this go. When we arrived, we were placed in a room that smelled like smoke and mold. The smell was so bad we walked straight back out and went back to the front desk to ask for a new room. The next room they put us in smelled better but the sheets did not cover the mattress, the mattress had stains on it, the lamp shade was ripped, the leather on the chair in the corner was rubbed away and the bathroom was filthy. It felt like a hotel you rent by the hour. Not a place we paid $300 to stay at after dropping our daughter at college. After the second room, we told them we could not stay at their inn. They indicated they would give us a refund if we contacted them through Expedia. We did that and they refused to honor the refund. DO NOT STAY AT THIS INN. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

An older chain hotel renovated into a Red Roof Inn. Friendly and efficient staff. We had the accessible room which was close to the lobby, very clean and reasonably comfortable but small. Nice fridge and small microwave. Wifi was pretty good. Parking was ample. The location was quiet and we slept well. Relatively close to dining and shopping and I-81. Would stay at this hotel again.

The only reason I couldn’t give this room absolutely 100% marks is they had defrosted the mini fridge and left towels on the floor and there was standing water all around. It wasn’t horrible. I used towels from the bath to sop up extra and there was a smell inside fridge which I did not use. Otherwise totally clean and updated room and building. Great waffles, get your coffee and OJ somewhere else. It’s not Starbucks. Ha. But hey, it’s included. I’d stay again anytime and highly recommend!

Cash deposit, rude customer service, dirty, rodent sounds at nice, harrassed about how many ppl in room after i said 3 multiple time, and room inspection before returning deposit

Very well maintained property. Breakfast 6 - 9am. Large room. Bathroom tub/shower was a little slippery.
