Excellent staff, clean, great hotel

Pros: The staff were kind and friendly. The beds and bedding were cozy. The location behind Wegman’s was convenient. It was quiet. Has a refrigerator, microwave, and TV in rooms. It was fine for a night.
Cons: The refrigerator in room was not cleaned properly. The elevator has a loud high-pitched squeal as it hits each floor. For me, the breakfast was not great because I cannot eat gluten or dairy. I had an egg that only tasted, and felt, like rubber. It just seemed like typical free hotel breakfasts. Other people seemed content though. Luckily, there is a Wegman’s.

The staff was very friendly and always willing to make you feel welcome!

One of the lesser Hampton Inns. Location is not very nice and building is only ok. Elevator was creaky and had a broken button. Adequate but certainly not great.
Gary
Other than being a little difficult to find, located in nice spot and easy to get on and off the highway.
DALE
There needs to be a bedside alarm clock in the room and cups in the bathroom to rinse your mouth. Staff not very personable
Yingling
Nice hotel for family stay.
James
The property was very clean and well maintained. A grocery store was conveniently located within walking distance.
Patricia
It was clean and the morning staff were friendly and accommodating.
The night staff were not helpful. The TV in the room didn’t work and no one came to fix it as promised.

This place is always my choice because the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast and coffee are good. Then it’s right next to Wegmans if you need anything and has a pool. Pricing is always fair/low. Literally can’t be beat.

The staff is amazing, breakfast was great, and the pool was 10/10. Will definitely stay again.

I booked a two queen-size room, but when checking in 11:45 pm, the front desk person said they don’t have a 2 queen-size room. They could only offer a king-size bed room, and she told me to go and look into a different hotel. I was really upset that that was what she told me. The service was unprofessional and rude. We took the room because we it was midnight and were exhausted and will deal with it the following day. My husband, 18 year son and I all squeezed in for the night. What really upset me was that the service was unprofessional and rude. Telling a customer to leave to find another hotel at midnight is unacceptable.
Cindy
Room was very clean, very comfortable bed. Staff made checking in very easy.
Susanne
Nice room, convenient to walking to Wegmans (awesome grocery store), liquor store and shopping mall.
Roman
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was great with many different selections. Pool was amazing and super clean! Great stay!
Courtney
Comfortable bed, clean and modern room. The bathroom needs a little attention it’s starting to fall apart. Also what’s with hotels putting tiny faucets on bathroom sinks that your hands barely fit under? Seen this a lot lately .
Timothy
Awesome Staff!
Kim
Was unfortunately in town for an unexpected funeral so lots of emotions. Had not stayed there before but definitely will again. Staff: every single one was so pleasant and friendly. Shout out to Francine at the front desk… always had a smile on her face and went out of her way to help. Wish I had gotten the names of other staff.. one gentleman was constantly cleaning all the time. My sister left her coat in the room and the housekeeper ran outside to catch us and give it back. Breakfast was really good every day and coffee or hot water was always available. Only complaint is that the water fountain/refill station was broken and they didn’t sell bottled water so I had to go buy water to keep in my fridge. Will definitely return to this location!

The room was clean and everything worked. The staff is wonderful!!! The pool was the perfect temperature and clean.

TV remote didn't work -- couldn't even shut it off so had to sleep with the welcome screen on, No one available to fix it, Offered another room but we'd already unpacked. No soda machine -- poor selection of drinks at the front desk. Put in a room directly below noisy people -- stomping on floor until 2 am. Should let guests on floors above rooms that they should show consideration. People accross the hall were also noisy.
Karen

Disappointing. Booked a room for a party of 5 and the room only had a bed and a sofa bed, no roll-in bed available, no sheets or pillows (provided after we requested) and only 3 towels… Stay somewhere else

My stay at the Hampton Inn was one of best experiences yet. On my first night stayed there was an issue with the room not being clean, but it was quickly corrected by giving a clean room. The best part of this hotel was the swimming pool where the water temperature was at 90 degrees, no exaggeration!! It was an incredible experience to be able swim and enjoy being in the water without your body temperature going cold like other swimming pools. Food was excellent with your own to do waffles and a hot variety of breakfast items. You can walk to all the shopping centers that literally 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive to all my needs and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for.
Kimberly
The pool was 90+ i was sad
Stephanie
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and other shops. Room was clean and enjoyed the pool in the evening to end the day.
shawn
Old dingy hotel. Lots of loud \"Strippers\" in the halls. And for Gods sake if there's one thing I expect at a Hampton it's oatmeal for breakfast but alas, there was none prepared. Very disappointed.
Kaushik
Excellent service and ample parking spaces

I really enjoyed my stay, I loved it.

Friendliest staff and the pool is amazing!!
Peter
Room was clean and well layer out. Staff was very helpful. Staff seemed pressed to cover front desk checkouts and keep breakfast items stocked at the same time - he was doing a great job, but some items were delayed in restocking- not his fault since he was working hard to cover both. Third floor cleaning staff member was very pleasant.
Steven
This place really needs to get some new mattresses, we had to change rooms because the mattress in the first room was horrible, the second room's mattress was only marginally better. The staff was great, the breakfast was adequate, but because of the beds, we would not consider staying here in the future.
Ana
Amazing

Everything was really well until I got in bed. The best is VERY uncomfortable and hard. I could barely sleep! Waste of money on a hotel if you ask me! I wish I could get my money back just because of that
James
Location, staff, clean
Kayla
Staff and hotel is amazing
Tim
This facility is not up to Hampton Inn standards. It feels like somebody bought a 25 year old Comfort Inn and changed the name. it’s very dirty and worn out. The mattress and pillows are not what I usually get at a Hampton Inn. The towel felt cheap, the elevator was disgusting and dirty, and a little sketchy. I give it an OK rating because it was safe and the sheets were clean. But the experience is more like I would expect a motel six.
Natalie
The pool was great, it was warm almost like a hot tub. Comfortable stay, convenient location.
Lia
Very clean and well kept place! The indoor pool was so nice and warm, we loved it. The room was perfect and the breakfast was great as well. Very conveniently located too - just steps to Wegmans! Easy to get everywhere we needed. The staff were very kind and welcoming too! A great place to stay in the area.
Roxanne
Clean rooms, ease of check in, free breakfast & small but appropriate gym.
Jill
Location.
Shannon
Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent service!
Katrina
Check out is at noon and the warmest pool ever stayed open until midnight! Breakfast was delicious and was served until 10am. As a mom of 4, this was all a special treat. I slept amazing. The bed was so comfortable and the water pressure was phenomenal. Also we felt safe. These are all big deals when I stay at a hotel. I would recommend.
Charles
Easy checkin. Nice room. Quiet. Water hot. Bed comfortable. Breakfast tasty. Good place to stay. Only negative is location. Yes, near I-86, but road to it is a little tricky. Still, worth the effort.
Kristine
Hotel right off highway, close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff

I enjoyed staying at this Hampton Inn and will definitely consider returning for future stays in Binghamton. The hotel overall was very clean, attractive and appeared well maintained. I LOVED and appreciated the generous bathroom counter space in our hotel bathroom, along with the slide-out under-counter shelves that also had racks to hang the hand towels. These seemingly little things were a big plus.
On the down side, we couldn't use our air conditioning unit; though it was functioning properly, the unit itself where the air was coming out was EXTREMELY dusty and dirty and we feared all of that being blown out into our room to be breathed in.

Breakfast was good

Overall stay was good. Just minor inconveniences. Our chargers did not work in the outlets on the TV stand or night stand. We had to plug them into the walls and leave phones on the floor. We're late risers and the add-ons for the waffles were depleted. Had to ask for more of all the toppings.
Cheryl
The carpet was old and dirty. There weren't any eggs out when I went for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. It took 10 minutes before they put out more eggs. The hallway smelled of marijuana smoke at night around 10:00 p.m. Staff was very pleasant.
Robert
Room dirty - tops of main dresser covered with dust, food crumbs, and drink stains. Rug covered with pet hairs which covered our socks, footies, pajamas, clothing, etc. Checked out a day early due to conditions, advised desk of issues why, but no ansjustments offered despite unsatisfactory conditions. Told they couldn’t check us out as we had 2 day stay booked via Expedia, so we left. Location was bad -view from room was shipping docks of a Wegman’s Grocery Store.
Terry
Dated but reasonably nice
Conveniently located but tucked away in a slightly of way. Ignore gps directions and instead go to the Wegmans grocery store instead. The road that gps directs you on are in extreme disrepair like many in the area. If you go around the Wegmans thru their parking lot there is an entrance to the hotel and it will save wear and tear on your car's suspension.
Overall the hotel was decent. Quiet and comfortable, it's just a little dated. Breakfast was nice and the staff working the breakfast area were great.

Exelente desayuno, todo muy limpio y siempre te reciben con una sonrisa

This is a lower end Hampton Inn. It worked for what we needed but it definitely needed updated. The bathroom smelled of mold and the beds were pretty low to the ground. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. I did feel safe in the area. I was also disappointed to not see a hot tub but with the temperature of the pool, it was its own hot tub! It was so warm!
John
my room key card did not operate on check-in. The night manager gave me a token pass key that did work, and I had no further issues. I spoke with maintenance the next day and he said the issue was power outages. The electric locks all have batteries that should function in a power outage, but the loss of power reset the timing function in the locks. So, the key card could activate the green access light on the lock but still not open the door. I enjoy coming to this hotel and have never encountered this technical issue before. Please update the electronic door lock software if necessary or get a generator to ensure no more timing failures.
Howard
The hotel met the basic requirements. It provided a bed and breakfast. However, it did feel like the hotel was a little rundown. The elevator smelled a little. Hot water wasn’t out when we arrived around 4:30pm.
Andrea
The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful.
Alexandra
The property itself was nice, the room was clean and continental breakfast selection was very decent. The reason I am giving it a bad rating is because we had a very unpleasant check in experience. I booked 2 rooms through Expedia, however once we arrived we were told that only 1 room was available. Not exactly sure what happened with our reservation. The front desk person was extremely unprofessional and overall rude. He basically told us in a very mean way that I have to call and deal with expedia and that he cannot help us even though I had my confirmation number where it clearly stated 2 room reservation. It was late evening and I had an elderly parent and two kids. He was not sympathetic or accommodating. I get it, things happen, but he showed zero sympathy. I got mad at him and when I raised my voice he threatened me and almost kicked us out. We ended up taking just that 1 room as it was already late and we managed through the night. But this guy left a very unpleasant taste.
Christine
Grandkids loved the pool and breakfast options too
Sophie
Good, solid breakfast (not just bagels or muffins!). Clean hotel. Needs to have additional blankets available for guests!
Carrie
We love the location . The hotel was a little outdated.
David
We have a child at BU. We were disappointed with cleanliness of common areas. We went back to hotel at 930pm. No one at all at front desk or no one to be found. I was very concerned with security as front door was wide open.
Elaine
Pool was heated and very clean & open until midnight. Nice hotel, a few things could be repaired but overall I enjoyed it.
Pete
The breakfast could use a little improvement. A couple more choices and a little better tasting omelet, other than that, everything was excellent.

Everything was pretty great, despite the odd location next to a large number of U-Haul storage units and behind Wegman’s. The trucks coming in at 4/5 am to supply Wegman’s were kind of loud, but nothing a white noise app couldn’t handle. Just be advised that late at night, it’s a bit of an odd location. Would go back in a pinch though. 3/3.5 stars.
Thomas
Their were restaurants and grocery stores close
Sharon
I felt it was very dirty. There were crumbs on the floor in my room, and the entire property was dirty, including the elevator and every rug. The gym has a horrible smell. I cancelled my 2nd night and moved to a cleaner hotel.
