Location is good, convenient to access bus or subway. A lot of dining options close by. But the cleanliness of the hotel is not good. Dirty stain on room light buttons, dirty floor etc. One day the cleaning staff left a bag of garbage on my room table while she should have taken it away. Room beddings were said to change every other day but weren’t changed for the three days we were there.

Hotel is in an excellent location, very easy walk to bus stops and Gangnam station. Tons of shopping and food around the area. Check in was easy, staff are friendly and helpful. Little bit of dust in the bedroom, but generally quite clean. Great hotel, would definitely return!

For the price, the cleanliness was disappointing but not horrible. The bed and room were very clean, it was just the shower and washroom that were not the cleanest. The staff were nice but not accommodating at all for a later check in when my flight was delayed (ended up having to stay in a different hotel for the night). It was located in a convenient spot and was safe. It also was a very large room with a kitchenette and everything. Overall, a good experience but not great.

Hotel is in need of refurbishment. Walls splatter with ? and worn. Bathroom has mold around sink and in shower area. Under bed was very dirty with debris. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping needs work. Floors are dirty. Needed to go to front desk multiple days because housekeeping for got to leave coffee or shorted us towels. No place to put luggage and no real clothing storage in room. More space is given to kitchenette than clothing storage so we lived out of suitcases on the floor.

This hotel is a part of so called officetel. Some of the rooms are long-term residential units and some are being used as hotel. This place has a oven, refrigerator, sink, pots and some silverwares as well as a washer. The room is kind of small and the bed is a little hard for me. The Gym is located on the 9th fl with 4 treadmills with only one weight lifting machine. It can't be called Gym. The overall facility is a little worn out. The area is safe and there are plenty of eateries around. The staff was kind.

Went thisbplace before Covid years...it was clean and great place to stay. When i visited again in 2023, It was a total different place. Floors and baths are dirty. I don't think the bathroom is even cleaned properly. Hope they can maintain the quality of the place as I remember three years ago.

It was alright. Has all the standard amenities and staff was pleasant. A nice feature is that the room has a kitchen space. The furnishings were a little worn and minimally clean. The sheets were washed but found a hair. Distance is 15 minutes walk to Yangae or Gangnam.

Felt like home for 2 weeks

Very comfortable. The shower is kind of old, but I got used to it. The elevator was slow though because I was on the 20th floor. I wish there was a microwave in the room instead of going all the way down to the basement floor for laundry and microwave. Overall, it was worth the price and it felt like home for 2 weeks.

Good location with mediocre amenities

I stayed in the deluxe room with a longer pantry counter. Room and toilet size are ok. There is no charging point at bedside which is a minus point for me. The toilet amenities are Spartan and the rough towels don’t make the stay comfortable. Depending on your luck, you can find good English speaking reception staff for assistance. Budget hotel for sure if you don’t mind. Location is good and near to Gangnam station.

Best for solo travelers.

So this is a bit of an odd place, you need to bring your own towels and toothbrush. For some reason, you only get one toothbrush glass, one towel and one key - even though you are two people. This place is better if you travel alone. Location is great and you and you can get whatever you need from the cafe and store on the ground floor. The overall impression of the hotel would improve a lot with some new paint on the walls. Yet, I keep coming back, because I like it here

Nice rooms in central location

I think this place gives you great value for money. The location is great, close to the Gangnam subway and bus stops that can take you to nearby cities. Gym is good and you can get what you need to cover your needs of nutrition in the coffee shop and emart at ground floor. You have to remember to bring your own tooth brush, which is kind of weird, otherwise I keep coming back to this place.

I had used this hotel three times, and I had a very good impression on it.
But I was not very happy this time.
I changed my room because of the bad smells from the bathroom drain.
The second room did not make a bad smell, but the room condition was not good. Doors had lots of dents - the refrigerator door did not fully open because of a big dent.
One of the refrigerator drawer was cracked.
No electric outlet was available for the desk work. - I pulled out one of a lamp plug to use my laptop.
But it is located in the heart of Seoul - a very convenient location for food, shopping, and transportation.

I stayed for one night (36hrs layover). The location is easy to miss, especially at night. The lobby is very welcoming with a coffee shop, and the staffs was welcoming. My room comfortable and clean, I wasn’t comfortable with the stove right next to the bed. Everything is in Korean, even the thermostats (Not safe!!!!). Bed was hard, but I liked it. Very close to public transportation, Gangnam station it could take about 10 minutes walk from here to get there. Exit 5. Overall, it was ok. Might stay again, but not for a layover too far from the airport.

The best thing the hotel has going for it is the staff and the good location. Otherwise, it is incredibly overpriced compared to the quality you get.

I asked for a quiet room and was put under someone who literally made my room vibrate every time they took a step (and they took a lot of steps). The rooms don't really look like the photos. The outlets in the room weren't great, my adapter kept falling out, and there was one without a socket on it. The heated toilet seat did not work. And at various times of the day there was a disgusting smell of sewage running through the room. The bed was hard, uncomfortable, and dated. There were also some weird check in rules and apparently they charge 10,000 KRW/night for a lost key???

I certainly wouldn't stay again. But the staff are friendly and speak good English and the location is fine if you don't mind everything I mentioned above.

Fair price for Gangnam, in good condition, and the mini-kitchen was just enough to do some basic cooking in the room. Really appreciated having in-room laundry (though I needed help interpreting the Korean mode descriptions). A bit cheaper than, or roughly comparable to, the nearby Shilla Stay, which has perhaps nicer bath/shower facilities and a simple couch, but no laundry/kitchen. The only real downside is the only view from my room was an adjacent building, which made it a bit dark in the daytime. But I'd stay here again.

Great location for the business trip and tour. More of business residence type with tiny kitchen, clean, comfortable, but overall room size is on small side. It is much smaller than picture. Many places to eat and drink near. Great for business trip and solo travelling. Recommended!

Liked the location. There was glass stain on the counter from when I checked in to when I checked out. In addition, for two days in a row, I was given hand towels instead of bath towels. I’ve never had that experience at any hotel before. How do you run out of bath towels ? Between the spotty housekeeping and the lack of bath towels, I was sadly disappointed.

The photos make the Urban Place look like a modern hotel. In reality it is quite old and the room we were in was not that nice. Beds were terrible. Only good thing was location in Gangnam which is close to many popular areas. Plenty to do and see around there.

Room and bathroom is super clean and comes with a large fridge. Only annoying thing is the elevators take forever to come because they aren't synced to a single set of buttons so everyone always calls both elevators, which causes delays for everyone else.

The front desk staff was always so kind and helpful. The one girl (maybe all I don’t remember) wore a USA and a Japan pin to state she spoke English and Japanese, she was also very sweet. The location is just off the main road with one of each popular convience stores on the block. I stayed in this hotel strictly for the convience of the location: right across from Usung Appartment bus stop (which is one stop away from Gangnam Station)

The room itself could use some TLC - my shower door didn’t close properly and the grout in the shower and bathroom was showing it’s age. Otherwise the room was fine. Bed is a bit hard by western standards but pretty on par with what I’ve had throughout Korea and East Asia.

A staff was disappointing to me.
Maybe she had a bad day. However, I cannot understand why she was upset and unkind to me. It is totally unprofessional.
A curly short hair female staff, who I don't remember her name, was not apparently nice to me at 12:45 on 10th Feb 2019. If I had a time to meet the manager, I would appeal the unacceptable situation to the manager.
The other staffs were fine and helpful.
I don't want to have such a bad experience again.
Please be kind to customers. Is this a hotel?
Why am I unhappy when I ask something to hetel staffs?
I cannot accept her attitude at all. I will stay again soon. Then, I will check her attitude. If possible, I want to hear the hotel manager's apology.

Although the hotel staff knew ahead of time and the people at reception made mention of it, no one had gone to check to make sure the extra pillows were placed in our room. I was told to call down if they were not there. I guess I thought someone from the hotel could have or would have already checked to be sure that the rooms were ready for guests. That doesn't seem like a big deal but when you arrive after a long day of travelling and it is after midnight, and they could have already had it done long before our arrival, then that is a negative mark for them. Then it took quite some time for them to bring the extra pillows after I called. The room was dark and worn looking. There were a lot of old marks and dirt on the walls and an area in the wall where it appeared a hole and been punched in, along with a variety of other markings. The bed was like sleeping on a cement plank with cardboard over it and the pillows- doesn't matter how many there were- were very uncomfortable. Surprisingly, there was a kitchenette in the room. However, I hadn't expected it and I certainly didn't expect that I would be required to wash the hotel tea cups and saucers I used to have the complimentary coffee in the morning. No one ever took them away. As well, it just didn't have the amenities I expected having stayed in hotels in South Korea before. Lastly, it is a large building with two very slow elevators, so expect to wait for a long time to go up to your room or to leave your floor.

It is situated at the heart of Seoul within minutes of walking to Gangnam station. There are a number of bars and restaurants close to the hotel as well. I highly recommend this hotel for those who are visiting Seoul!
